Rain slowly drizzled down from up above, as the young Monk made his way through the fields. He looked up for a moment, only to see the dark gray clouds covering the sky, gently pouring rain down. Hiro reached back, and pulled up the hood from his clothes, to cover his head as he walked. The old castle looked so dark and depressing, being all crumbled up in a large mass. Hiro sighed, as the mood of the day had gotten to him slowly. Windsor Castle was once a great and powerful battlement that stood as a symbol for all of Britain, but in its current state, it wouldn't even stand for itself much longer. Pieces of the building were scattered around the castle, as it stood in solemn silence. The only things that made the place lively, was the reason he was here this day.
Lesser Soil Golems, monsters that only appeared on the rain usually, had appeared nearby the castle grounds. His mission was to take on a total of five of them, as there were only five around at the time. This rain wouldn't last all that long, and Soil Golems were only around for a short amount of time after the rain had come and gone. He didn't really like being in the rain at all, let alone outside on a day like this, but it was what had to be done, he figured. He needed to keep getting stronger, as well as keep fighting new and more powerful monsters. Hiro knew that these monsters were much stronger, as well as had an advantage on him in the way of health. But, he had a more important advantage: Speed.
Hiro's emotionless face turned into a grin, as he neared the first enemy, going down a small slope towards the main part of the castle grounds. He started to gain a little speed as he began to sprint towards the ground-covered beast. It was at least two meters tall, which was just about as tall as he was. He brought his fist back a little bit, winding up to give it a solid punch. So, let's take a minute to calculate the advantages that Hiro had over the Golem. While the Golem had a decent amount of health, as well as good strength, it lacked in defense, speed, and evasive capabilities. While Hiro himself didn't have the defense, he matched the Golem in strength and health, and trumped the Golem in speed and evasion. He just needed to keep moving, and he would win.
Not to mention his combo's that the Monk class was so credited for. Never giving the enemy a break was their strong suit, with their incredible combo capabilities. The constant assault of fists and feet, along with magic energy balls and incredibly powerful attacks made Hiro a force to be reckoned with. His abilities shined in combat, as well as a fair deal of added strength when it came to his Sigilmaker RP class. This would only make him more powerful, or perhaps even more evasive. All these things would come together to make him one of the most powerful forces in all of Elder Tale, even if he wasn't the highest level anymore. Which was going to change, very soon, he figured. This quest would bring him up a bit more, and then the next few would make him surpass all.

Perhaps now it would start getting interesting, as Hiro's fist collided with the first of the five Lesser Soil Golems that he would need to fight. He dealt a fair deal of damage to the beast, as he recoiled back a few steps, getting back into his fighting stance. However, 10% of its max health wasn't necessarily a lot, now that he thought about it. But, it was still damage dealt. He waited for the monster to turn around to face him, and throw its first attack. What felt like minutes later, the golem finally threw a long punch at him, which he easily avoided off to the side. He threw in a small three hit combo, made up of punches from both arms, and then a solid roundhouse kick, before vaulting away a short distance, and charging up his hands.
Hiro dodged to the other side, as the monster went to swing at him again, and proceeded to use one of his newest abilities: Bullet Punch. Since this monster was rather slow, Hiro had enough time to launch the entire barrage of fists into the monster. All two seconds of constant damage was blasted into the enemy, taking down its health further to about 50%. Amazingly enough, that skill only used up a very very small portion of his total mana, meaning that he could certainly combo much longer. Hiro smirked, as he began to do a full combo rush, starting with a high leap into the sky. Hiro came crashing down, with a powerful Wyvern Kick onto the head of the monster. He rebounded off of it, just in time for the monster to miss him in his skyward assault.
Hiro landed on the ground, and performed a Tiger Echo Fist attack, to knock the enemy into the air. However, since this enemy was so massive, he only knocked it up a few inches at best. This was enough to unsettle the monster a bit, which Hiro used to charge up an Aura Dragon Punch, and launch the ball of energy into the belly of the beast. Literally. The magical orb collided with the giant ground monster, and forced the beast to disappear into particles all around him. Hiro gave a victorious "Yes!" as he motioned in success. This was only the first of five enemies in which he needed to kill, and it looked like the rain was giving in a little bit. There wasn't a whole lot of time left before the monsters would disappear, so he needed to hurry. Cutting his little victory short, he started to dash towards the next enemy.

It wouldn't be much longer before Hiro reached the second of his five foes, and began with a combo immediately. The element of surprise was on his side, for the most part, and he needed to take full advantage of that. He might even be able to score a critical strike, if he was lucky! Grinning while putting the hood back down, Hiro leaped up into the air, and performed a Wyvern Kick. He sprung right off the monster, and aimed to land off to its side. He brought his fist up high into the air, and charged up a Tiger Echo Fist, which would deal more damage as he was higher in the air now. He came crashing down, and created a powerful shockwave that sent the enemy up into the air a few feet. This knocked the monster off balance, and it fell onto its side for a moment. This was Hiro's chance.
Hiro wound his arms back, and proceeded to attack with Bullet Punch, being able to get the entire stream off without being interrupted by the enemy. His attack was especially effective, since the enemy was knocked over, and it would take a bit of extra time for it to get back up onto its feet. Springing back a few times, Hiro took a little extra time to charge up his Aura Dragon Punch technique, while the monster got back onto its feet. Hiro released the ball of energy out towards the enemy, colliding harshly with it. This was almost enough for the monster to lose the last remaining bits of its health, so Hiro charged forward, and jumped at the enemy, trying to perform a drill kick. But, the monster had the upper hand, and swatted Hiro away. He went flying towards the ground away from the beast, and tumbled a few times. Finally coming to a stop, Hiro got back into his fighting position, and observed the 10% decrease in his health.
That was actually a rather powerful blow that he had sustained, if he had to figure it. Taking down 10% of his life in one slap wasn't something to laugh at. Despite this, Hiro knew that he could do this entire mission without losing his life. He had far too much health and evasiveness to carry him throughout the quest, as well as the combat prowess to deal the right amount of damage. Hiro grinned again and charged back at the monster, whose health was just about gone. One more hit should do it. The Golem wound its arm back to hit him, but Hiro was more than ready this time. He jumped over the enemy's attack, performed a front flip, and landed on the other side of the beast. Hiro gave a quick one-two punch combo, and the death of the enemy was made apparent. Hiro celebrated again for just a moment, before looking around for the next of his foes to fight. It looked like the last three were all in one group, with one of them off to the side a bit further from the other two. They were his next target, and he started moving towards them immediately.

The rain had completely stopped by now, meaning the golems wouldn't be around much longer. He had roughly 10 minutes before they disappear, and the normal enemies would reappear. While this didn't mean Hiro's quest was cancelled, it just meant that he would need to come back at a later time in order to complete it. This would be a real pain for him, because there wasn't really much of a way to tell when or if it was going to rain again. He looked around for a moment, realizing that he was the only one in this place as it stood. That meant that either he was the only one strong enough to fight these guys, no one else wanted to take a similar quest, or the only other people high enough leveled for this weren't going to come here alone. Which is a huge advantage for the Monk class, as they are a very powerful solo class. He didn't really need to rely on others, so much as on himself. This quest was more than enough proof for it.
Speaking of proof, the third golem that he needed to fight was just in front of the Fist-Master. Hiro decided to change up his combo a bit, and use abilities in a different order. He started off with an Aura Dragon Punch, with which he would use the most Mana out of the rest of his skills. He made sure that he was far enough away to cast the spell without interruption, until it was fully charged. He fired the blast of energy into the torso of the enemy, and watched as his mana decreased a fair deal. He was down to about 50% of his total mana now, but that wouldn't be a big problem soon. He followed up by jumping high into the air, and activating his Wyvern Kick technique, crashing down onto the enemy. He landed a good hit onto the Golem's right shoulder, before kicking back off. He vaulted over behind the enemy, quickly turned, and started to slam the backside of the golem with Bullet Punch, letting the entire combo go off before he readied his next ability. Which was, of course, Tiger Echo Fist. He slammed the ground with his hand, and the enemy took the shockwave of damage, and went up a few inches again. It landed on its feet, as one would expect, but it was still damage done.
This golem was down to about 25% of its total health, and, thanks to his low cooldowns, Hiro was about ready to let off another chain in the exact style. But he realized that this new chain didn't really give him enough of a stun duration, so that chain wouldn't be nearly as effective. He'd have to work on them over time, but for now, he had to work on killing this golem. He jumped over the right arm of the monster, as it turned around, but didn't avoid the left arm, which he didn't expect. Being sent back a fair deal of distance, he looked over to his health gauge, now reading 75% of total health left. That one hit pretty hard, it looked like. Maybe this one was a higher level than the others? It didn't matter. Hiro got back up, and advanced swiftly towards it. He brought his fist back a ways, and punched the enemy. Hard. This knocked it down to just barely having a life bar now, and all he needed to do was hit it once more. Hiro first activated Beatdown, which would increase his speed after each enemy he killed. Since he was so close by to the other golems, he would be glad to have the extra burst of speed. He planted his leg into the golem, causing it to disappear, and started to charge towards the remaining two golems.

Hiro could immediately feel the effects of Beatdown in him. He was running faster, and he felt stronger. He felt more prepared to take on these last two simultaneously. Speeding right towards them, Hiro grinned a bit. The sun was beginning to peak out from behind the clouds. He was rather surprised at how quickly the weather changed in this world, and he had to admit, it was rather refreshing to have such a quick and ever-changing world such as this. It would make things a bit more interesting, to say the least. But, this also gave Hiro a bit of an advantage. Not only was he now able to hit harder and faster, thanks to Beatdown, but the sun also played a huge effect on these monsters. Since they were rain-dwelling creatures, they would gradually get weaker as the sun started to shine. This is what caused the Artificial Intelligence of the monsters to retreat: It was a survival mechanism, or so he was told. But, it wouldn't help them much now, since the Monk was already about to combo the last two monsters in the area. He would need to get out quick afterwards, lest he aggro every monster that spawns afterwards.
Hiro jumped up into the air to use another Wyvern Kick, and targeted the golem closest to him. He came crashing down with great force, and repelled off even higher than before. Perhaps there was some sort of a height-to-damage ratio for this attack, but he certainly sprung back up higher than he normally would. If he were going to take full advantage of the effects of Beatdown, he would need to kill one right after the other. Afterwards, the boost from Beatdown would help in his escape, before the normal monsters of the area would spawn. He charged up Tiger Echo Fist, and came crashing down between the two golems, sending them both up into the air a bit. The one that Hiro wasn't attacking had fallen onto its side in confusion, and then rolled to its back. The one that he was attacking, however, landed on its feet, barely. This would give him a bit more time to focus on the one instead of the other. Hiro started up his Bullet Punch combo, managing to get a majority of the chain off before being swatted away. Tumbling away on the ground, and landing on his feet again, Hiro smirked. The enemy had taken far more damage than he had.
Hiro readied Aura Dragon Punch, and charged it up for a moment. Hiro looked over to the Beatdown counter, and saw that only 20 seconds remained before the effects were cancelled. He hesitated for a moment, before making himself focus again. He launched the ball of energy at the golem, and quickly followed up behind the blast. He let the attack collide with the enemy before he punched it a few times, sending its health down to almost zero. Hiro raised up his arm again, and brought it crashing down into the enemy, causing it to disappear into data. The Beatdown timer had refreshed, and he noticed that his Speed and Strength had increased even more. He turned to the other golem, which was already bringing its fist down. Hiro dodged to the side nimbly, and brought his fist up into the opponent. He managed to actually punch into the soil for a moment, before quickly retracting his fist. He combo'd with a kick to its side, and then jumped into the air. Wyvern Kick was about to be used once again, and dealt a powerful blow to the enemy. Rebounding off of it, Hiro loaded up Tiger Echo Fist. While it was apparent that his skills were on very short cooldowns, it had been half a minute since he had last used this combo.
45 seconds remaining on the timer for Beatdown, Hiro planted his fist into the ground just to the side of the enemy. This knocked the enemy up even further, as Tiger Echo Fist also seemed to have a height-to-damage ratio. He grinned, as he prepared Bullet Punch, and launched a flurry of fists into the enemy. He looked at the health bar of the golem after the attack, and decided that he didn't even need to use Aura Dragon Punch in order to bring its health down to a manageable level. Instead, all he had to do was drop his foot down onto the enemy from up high, and that was more than enough to cause it to disappear. The Beatdown timer refreshed again, and he immediately started to bolt away from the fighting grounds. This mission was more than just a success for him, but it was also a great learning experience. Then again, this mission didn't really make a whole lot of sense, due to the fact that Soil Golems appeared at almost all times. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that there was rain, and the other enemies were just in hiding from the rain. Either way, he decided to look back towards the fields of Windsor Castle, as the random enemies started to spawn. And, yes, more Soil Golems appeared as well. He sighed, realizing that he had been lied to. He shrugged, though, and started to make his way back to London. AP was AP, and Gold was Gold. That's all that really mattered to him, in the end.
