"Good lord what is THAT!?" It was the perfectly wrong time for her eldest brother, Ragas, to come into the kitchen, but of course that was just code for 'this must happen' in the trolling world that fate lived in. "I-It's dinner..." The look she got as soon as those two words came out of her mouth. She thought for a moment that her brother might throw up right then and there over the kitchen floor. "I'll go warn everyone..." Before he left all she did was smile and roll her eyes as if it didn't affect her at all, but as soon as he was out that door, she turned to the disgusting mush in her bot and started to tear up. It was like this every time she tried to make something that she could in the real world, alternate world, whatever world they weren't in! She wanted to cook like she normally did, with complicated recipes, spices, modifications. What she made from the menu looked good, some things even looked to die for, but that was it. Her brothers could make things from the menu just as well, but everything tasted the same- mushy crackers. It was just plain wrong and she wouldn't accept the bland taste. By hand, she was the only one who could make attempts at better tasting food, which made sense given her crafting class, but part way through the dish it would turn to yuck!
Staring down at the yuck in question, she wrinkled her nose at it. "Stop being gross!" The thing wiggled at her, making her squeak and jump back. There was no way she could serve that up to her family, it wasn't edible in the slightest. So instead, she went along dumped it in the trash where it belonged. Heaving a long sigh, Nala returned to the counter and stared down at some dough she had planned to try making cookies with. Suddenly, a slow smile made its way across her face. So, they thought she was going to make the most horrible thing on the face of the planet.. world, thing... FINE she would just have to give them something horrible.

Bringing over a chair, Nala got up on it to reach the higher up ingredients she usually didn't even bother with. Pulling them down and laying them out, she looked over her haul; fruits, vegetables, spices, oils, everything she might need was in here somewhere. Laying them out like this helped her to think and visualize just what she wanted to make; it was sort of like how she got her inspiration. Staying still for awhile, she continued to stare over all the common things. Something horrible... and it had to at least look edible so that they wouldn't be suspicious or throw it away when she wasn't looking. Reaching up, she held one hand on her elbow, to keep it propped up while the other held her chin, one finger tapping against the side of her mouth. It was still a game, but had so many similarities with what they could do before everyone got put here, so she needed something impossibly possible- if that made any sense.
A few minutes later, her whole face lit up, her hand shooting up into the air, "AH HAH!" Yes, this would work, this would totally work. Telling herself it would work over and over again in her head, Nala tried to keep quiet as she bounced up and down excitedly. Now she just needed to figure out the right combination to get the desired effect she was going for to make her eureka moment come alive. Picking up some chili peppers, she decided to go with them first. Instead of chopping or dicing them up, she instead grated them down, putting the spicy flakes in a small bowl. She was trying to keep the dish simple so it would just turn into an irreversible piece of yuck, so putting some water on the stove, she started putting back the rest of the ingredients she wouldn't be using. Hopefully it really would work!

With the water hot and boiling once Nala had finished cleaning up, she put in four uncooked hotdogs in to get them warm and delicious, turning around to slice up the bread they would be put on. Smiling to herself, she danced around the kitchen, getting out the plates and silverware to set the table with as she was made to wait a little longer on food once again. In a good mood, she even folded the napkins, setting the forks and spoons inside to lay peacefully. They wouldn't be needed since she was making finger food, but it made everything look nicer regardless. Getting out a small wooden bowl out that she'd kept from a meeting with a man in the woods, she stuffed it with fruits and actual crackers for them, setting them in the very middle if they should want to fight over it. She also got out some glasses along with a pitcher, leaving the glass empty, but at least filling the pitcher for them.
As soon as the hot dogs were nice and soft, she took them out to lay on plates, rolling three in the grated chili peppers before covering them in bread. Keeping track of her own normal hotdog, Nala made sure that it was set in her regular seat before going and getting the other ones. With that set up complete, she went off to find her boys in the living room, frozen as soon as she stepped in. The Randee was holding Leroy's arm over his head, looking like he was about to throw the middle brother over his shoulder, while Ragas held two pillows in his hands, wielding them like he was about to charge up and lay the smack down on the younger two. "Do I even want to know?" They all shook their heads quickly, so she didn't ask any questions. "Alright, put those pillows back and get in here~ It's time for dinner!"
Groaning, her brothers lingered in the living room as long as possible before they had to make their way to the kitchen and eat, not looking forward to the yuck food they were expecting.

Just seeing their faces when they zombie walked into the kitchen to actually see edible food laid out on the table. If only she had a camera, it was priceless. “Woah! What the f-” flailing, Nala stopped him mid sentence, “LANGUAGE!” Ragas all chuckled and let out a Yes ma’ma before hurrying over to his usual chair to sit down. The other two looked at one another, smirking before they followed after. It wasn’t often that they got to see the eldest of the house be wrong about something. What made it even better was that it had been about her very own cooking. As much as they teased her for being unable to cook like she use to, they wouldn’t be able to now.
Sporting a wide smile on her face, Nala strolled around to plop herself down in her seat as well. With everyone sitting down, she took up her hotdog, chomping a big bite out of it. “Mmmh~! Oh, this is sooo good!” She continued to taunt and tease them with how good she claimed the food actually was. Of course, they thought she was just throwing it in their faces that she had actually made something that seemed edible and tasted as it should; which she actually had, from her hotdog. When her brothers each picked up their hotdogs in turn, Nala leaned forward slightly, smiling as she waited on them to take that first bite. Closer… closer… aaand- Chomp!
For a while they chewed, raising their eyebrows at the taste of the hotdog, and then in the next second they all started fanning their hands in front of their mouths, gasping for water. All at once they went for the glasses first, then the pitcher. Pawing at each other, they fought over the pitcher of cool water, trying to get the hot taste out of their mouths. All the while, she just laughed and laughed. They made a mess by sloshing water all over the table, but they could clean it up later! In fact, she would clean it since it was her doing by making them the dogs, it was totally worth it.
They weren’t very happy with her playing a trick on her like that, making totally serious face. Her giggles calmed down and she slowly crumpled back from them, disliking it when people were actually mad at her. Giving her a stern look, they just stared for a minute then burst into laughter, hugging and snuggling their little Fox Tail, “Good job! You got us little sis!” Starting to giggle again, she flailed at each of them playfully, glad that she wasn’t in any sort of trouble. Hopefully they wouldn’t doubt her again or they’ll never trust another hot dog again!
