face all the pain and take it on RuetheDay was bored, and he wanted to train. Ordinarily that would mean that he would go out to the forest with his Salamander summoned and wait for some monsters to show up for the two of them to fight, his whip cracking out while the creature would destroy anything else that would come near the Half-Alf. But lately the Salamander that he had affectionately nicknamed Cash - so what if it was a rather cliché name, his little sister had loved the song "Ring of Fire" and it was hard for him not to think of her when he was around the creature, remembering how she used to adore geckos whenever they would see them and, even if she wouldn't touch them, she would insist that her brothers carry the young amphibians out to a pond and place them on a rock so that they could reach the water and not dry up - had been looking a little off. That was why he was worried, and why he'd decided to death-glare the People of the Land when they'd told him that the gates were closed. He was used to being told no - that was why he would stare people down, it was a technique he'd learned early on when he was a child, and he wasn't about to change now.
He maintained that eye contact until they slunk back, obviously quite willing to pretend that they had never met him in the first place, which suited him just fine. People annoyed him anyway, so why would he bother to care about their opinions? Really, it was just so much effort to expend for people who would judge him for no reason, so he just didn't bother with it. He shook his hair out, running his fingers through it to comb out some of the tangles for when he had tied it back so that he could clean himself up without using too much water, and he was glad that he had washed his hair separately and then pulled it back to dry. It too often would become tangled when he just left it.
Orange eyes flickered up to the gate, and he nudged the iron with a single well-placed foot, the rusted iron creaking with protest from misuse even if it did not budge before him. Not that he needed it to, of course, people just used it as a handy gathering spot for parties. And if he wanted to train, that was what he would need to do, party up with someone and rely on their experience to help him. And, of course, he'd need their blades to give him the distance and time that he needed to be able to cast or bring his whip to bear. He was quick, of course, but even he had his limits as to what he could and couldn't do.
Instead of thinking about the unpleasant task ahead of him, he closed his eyes and leaned against a brick pillar, feeling the cold of it seep through his clothing and slowly invade his skin. People would come by eventually, and when they did, he’d make his presence known then. Until that point, he might as well just appreciate the quiet moment of solitude while he still had it. | Words;; 548 Tags;; Request Notes;; This can be treated like an open, but please ask all members in the thread before jumping right in. The ever curious fox-tail was making her way across the landscape. But how, familiar people of the land and adventurers alike, might ask themselves? Was she darting across it exploring every nook and cranny like an excited child discovering the treasures of life? Was she sprinting through the brush and trees like a woman on a mission (though the sorcerer's missions on ever contained orders to deliver as much sunshine and hugs to others as possible)? Or maybe she had once again taken mount atop one of the wildlife? Riding it's charge into certain chaos and hilarity with its brothers on her heels?
It was none of these. Okami didn't always find her-self at the center of excitability, you know? Even she had to take it slow sometimes.
...For a certain definition of 'slow'.
Taking a lovely little stroll through the lush and dew covered grass, Okami was skipping her way down the road. Ears twitching in delight, tail swishing back and forth, arms swinging as she went - she was quite happily living in her own little world. Above her the sun shone brightly, and despite the cold chill that filled the area managed to warm her a bit. Small things like this, the sorcerer would admit, were nice to have every once in awhile. Though at times like these she wasn't quite sure when Okami, the excitable fox-tail and Alana, the solemn albino, started and ended. Was it some sort of mix between the two in these down times? Possibly. Too worn from her own mad charges and needs to be everywhere at once, yet still retaining some form of energy from that crazed internal dynamo fueled by crazy.
"La~ La La~ La~" She sang quietly. The sorcerer had found that simple, very simple, songs had been possible for her. While she wasn't the best of singers in the world, she was certainly good enough to get a good song going. But for some reason the system was locking her, keeping the fox-tail from, well, letting her sing to her fullest. Was it because she wasn't a bard? Or was it simply another mechanic function that she wasn't aware of that was denying her her 'singing in the shower' as it were?
"Hmm," Okami looked around the area, eying the scenery for potential victi-friends. She didn't 'quite' feel up to getting into peoples faces today, but she could certainly manage some friendship hugs. And friendship kisses. and friendship friendship. That was the best kind of friendship. So even without her usual energy, the fox-tail swaggered on by, tail swishing to an fro, on the prowl for her most recent bestest best friend.

Lost. With every single step, every single second in a day, she couldn't help but feel that feeling. The whole new situation felt foreign to her, being able to do walk around, seeing sights that she could have never of even envisioned in the real world. It felt unnatural.
Her footsteps had come to a halt, as the girl would settle her gaze to the floor, as she traced into a state of deep thought. One of many times she had did it, as a hand would come, two finger pressing against her temple, mouth opening then closing soon after. 'Pheonix' An alias, her new name in a sense, one that people would now have to refer to her as, unless she decides otherwise by telling her true name. Phoebe did like it somewhat, after all it took her a while to think to create it. Also it contains the four letters of her original name within it, handy word play if she didn't say so herself. But even so, it made her feel somewhat depressed. She still wasn't herself, she was a complete different person. The Phoebe that she was before was a weak girl whom couldn't even travel around and make friends, the bed was her only place that she had to call home. But the person she was now is a girl- no practically a adult whom is a adventurer. One of many who are strong and protect others in a band. She didn't even look the same.
A sigh, she was over thinking things. Least she thought she was. Her dull sakura-like gaze would soon look up towards the sky, as her mouth would tightly close, cheeks soon inflated by air. Though she didn't look like it, due to her problems showing her emotions correctly, she was excited and in awe of this new chance. She already spent days mulling about it, but that wasn't in sadness in anyway. Only excitement of the days that were like a dream come true for the once sick child. Fist clenched, before her gaze lowered, soon looking at those whom were around her. The strange people of this world.
People of the Land was the term that they were commonly refered as, but in all sense she didn't see much difference from them in comparison to normal people- well adventurers. Her eyes squinted at a male one whom seemed to be having a conversation with another people, as if studying them. If it wasn't for there being multiple ways to tell they weren't adventurers, just by looks and actions alone, it would be impossible for her to recognise whether they were not or were adventurers. In a way, they were like natives to the place. One- way or another, it didn't matter to her much. She just continued on her way, slowly trudging through the masses.
The Parliament building, she was told about it via private lessons at home. Of course the version of it in the game would be completely different in comparison to real life. And because of that she had her reasons for coming to such a place. Other than wanting to sight-see, since she can now travel she's able to see sights that she normally wouldn't have, she had a bit of a problem that would need the help of someone else. The problems that Clerics normally face, lack of offensive prowess. As she soon was at the gates of the building- well near it, she gazed up at it in awe. It had a sense of being rather old, perhaps abandoned? There was no way of confirming it as the area seemed to be locked. But there was something else.
Black hair, Orange iris and defiantly a adventurer. What was attracting her attention to him was how others were distancing themselves from him, whilst he seemed to be glaring at them. Her head tilted, mouth making a circular shape with a bit of a confused thought wondering through her head. But soon whatever thoughts were clouding her mind were soon removed with a shake of her head. No matter what was happening, he was a adventurer and he was on his own. He seemed like a perfect candidate to help her, despite the rather lonesome behaviour. But Phoebe being a child and the worst judge of character thought nothing of it. Her footsteps would sound, as she made her way to him slowly till she was around a meter or so in front of him. Then her head bobbed up to stare him in the eyes with nothing but silence. Thus starting one of the most awkward situations, she didn't seem to mind.

face all the pain and take it on Haru was not someone who really changed himself when he became RuetheDay. He was still the type of person who hated talking to others, and he was just the sort of person who would use the fact that he spoke Japanese to his own advantage. People were to be kept at an arm’s length, no more and no less. And sure, he was no stranger to playing games with others, being quite fond of Log Horizon back when it was a Japanese game, and he’d often spoke in his native tongue when playing and even translated for some of the American and European players for when he and his friend would play on the same server with a mix of languages in their party. Now that he’d been trapped in the Unfounded Kingdom, with his appearance almost the same and his character locked to the Half-Alf Summoner with the flying bird tattoo on the tongue, he almost didn’t even mind about things being how they were. It wouldn’t have been his first choice of characters to be trapped in, aye, but he was with his favorite user name, and he was rather fond of his Salamander summon, and he liked his whip, so really, he didn’t see how it was so bad.
The sound of footsteps had him pausing in his meditation, opening sharp orange eyes to meet the gaze of some girl with pink hair. In any other situation, he might have just closed his eyes again or raised his hand up to find out more about her, but right now, he didn’t particularly feel like doing that. Instead, in a silence that would have had many another man stuttering off from the sheer awkwardness, he met her eyes, not seeming to care one way or another. He used the same tactic on many a person who thought him weak or an easy target, and his unaffected stare was something that had gotten him out of many a tight situation with board members or other high members of society.
He’d heard the whispers back in the board rooms behind the doors that they’d thought were closed and the hands that they thought hid everything. He wasn’t deaf and he wasn’t dumb, no matter what they may have thought otherwise. He was quiet because he didn’t want to talk to them if they were only going to pity them, and he pretended not to hear because it was easier than to admit that it hurt knowing that he was the child that had ended his parent’s marriage into the current façade that it was today. But he could handle that. He’d accepted it and he’d blamed Alexander – since it was Alexander’s fault, if only because if the boy hadn’t been born, things would have continued without anyone being any the wiser – but he was still protective enough of his little sister to know that he would do anything to protect her, even bear the burden of being the child that everyone pitied.
He briefly wondered where exactly his sister was before he dismissed though thought as something unimportant, his level gaze boring into the girl in front of him as if she was nothing. He could hear other footsteps, but he wasn’t going to be the one to break the stand-off. Call him petty and childish, but he wanted the satisfaction of being able to know that he had won the little contest of wills. | Words;; 575 Tags;; OkamiPheonixand others Notes;; Murrrr let's see how this ramble goes. orz Lyrics;; "The Only Hope for Me is You" by My Chemical Romance Template by Kuroya |

She had, of course, seen the two long before she reached them. Okami had taken to searching on her tippy toes, trying to get a better look of the situation and area, as the fox-tail was a rather short, err, shortie. So now on the tips of her feet, the woman could very much make out the vague images of two kinds of hair. One slick, black combed hair and another fluffy, bright pink hair. The sorcerer nearly squeed at the sight of a fellow pinkette, but kept it to her-self. She certainly didn't want to scare off her future sucke-friends. Totally friends. The bestest best of friends.
She stalked her way through the grass, back hunched and eyes glinting with mischief. There wasn't anything particularly good for hiding behind, she'd learn as she approached the two, but that wasn't exactly the point. The point was to have fun, and by gods she would have it. So with her back hunched over, tip toeing her way towards the two, the fox-tail's tail kept itself to slow turns and swishes. As to not alert her fresh prey, you see, very sensitive to the vibrations in the air. At least that's what she told herself. Kinda like those people who old down the button on a game controller because they believed it improved their statistic chances of success.
Of course, the one who was on the opposite side of her target must have seen her. Or at least noticed her in some fashion. The pinkette, who'd been staring so intently into the...man's eyes oh dear. It was then and only then that Okami realized she could be interruptin or an intimate moment between two lovers or something remotely similar. Should she continue? Could she come back later? Such things crossed her mind as she hesitated for but a moment. Then, because she was her-self, she decided that the best choice to handle the situation was to help them. In the way only she could manage.
Smiling, she pushed a finger up to her lips, to indicate that the pink hair should remain silent to her presence. Not that she thought the man hadn't noticed her by now but still. It was the thought of the matter that counted, or something like that, right? Making her way across the brush and terrain, she 'snuck up' to the man and took a deep breath, grinning to her-self.
"There, you see her~ Sitting there across the way~" She placed one hand on his back, the other slowly extending out to the woman. She knew very well that the other pinkette wasn't sitting by any means, but that's not how the song went did it? "She don't got a lot to say, but there's something abooouuut her~" She leaned in to the man, standing on her toes and giving him a wink, "And you don't know why, but you're dying to try~"
She gave him a look, "You wanna kiss the girl~"

face all the pain and take it on The sound of a Disney song he was quite familiar with from his childhood made RuetheDay straighten up almost immediately, as if he'd been electrocuted, and he glared at the pink-haired Fox Tail that had popped up out of nowhere to start singing to him. "Ile," he muttered to himself, scowling and crossing his arms, breaking the staring contest. "I don't really like kissing, got it, baka?" he snapped, a little irritable since he had remembered his dislike for that movie. A mute naked girl washing up on the beach sounded totally legitimate here, let's put a wedding ring on her and live happily ever after!
Note the sarcasm dripping from that sentence. Rue really hadn't liked The Little Mermaid very much. His little sister Miyako had adored it though; he never quite managed to understand why. Shifting his weight to his back leg, he looked at the woman, raising an eyebrow at her. "What are you doing here anyway? Don't you know it's rather rude to-" he cut himself off, sighing heavily as he remembered that he was looking for a party to hunt things, and that meant being cordial towards others, at least for the time being. "Look, I think we got off on the wrong foot," he stated, orange eyes opening again to reveal guarded depths, the Half-Alf wary now. "I'm Rue. Now please kindly do not sing that song. It gets rather annoying rather quickly, so if you please... don't do it." | Words;; 273 Tags;; OkamiPheonixNotes;; Skipping Pheo since I don't think she's been around in a while and IDEK where she's poofed to :c Lyrics;; "The Only Hope for Me is You" by My Chemical Romance Template by Kuroya |
