[attr="class","capsol"] The moon was high up in the night sky, shining brightly down onto the rest of the world. It was a chilly night, but thankfully enough, it wasn't cold enough that the Monk wouldn't feel that much of a temperature difference. His clothing was still thick enough that he'd be able to perform normally without much worry. Hiro was out here this evening to do a bit of nighttime hunting, specifically for the various Jacks of the event. He'd heard a bit about there being a decent increase in their numbers, as well as the varieties of Jacks during the event, in this specific area more so than anywhere else in the London area. Some Landers were requesting that they be taken care of, and Hiro thought it would be a good opportunity to do a bit more grinding for sweet loots. While he was thinking about doing this quest, he had thought about the guild meeting that he had with the other guilds in the current times, concerning the opening of Pattington Station a little while back. It might do him some good to build a better relation with some of them, or as many as he could.
While he was walking through the field of flowers, along the path between the flower beds, he thought to himself about who he should bring with him. The quest requested that multiple people be brought along for this, and that the monsters all be taken care of by the Adventurers who had picked up on the mission. Well, he was probably going to ask Sayha along, since she seemed to be very proactive about doing these sorts of things. It was nice to have someone who was so active when it came to these sorts of things, though a few of the members of the guild had been like that. Artemisia, for one, seemed to enjoy being up and doing things, as well as Val, who was still missing in action. All that being said, though, Hiro had sent a message out to Sayha, asking her if she'd like to come along for the quest. It would help out to have some static DPS going, while Hiro could do the tanking thing, if need be. After that, he had to think a bit more. Who else would he bring along on the quest? Maybe another DPS, just to get the job done somehow simply and quickly. He looked away from his interface for a few moments, thinking.
Without realizing it, he had opened an interface to speak with Dumah through messaging. He heard the ping as the message window opened, and looked down. Seeing the name, he shrugged. Dumah was the one person he knew the least about during the guilds meeting, so it would likely do him some good to get to know the Swashbuckler a little bit better. Hiro typed out the message to invite him along, and closed the interface. He found a place to sit down, in the middle of the path, and looked up at the sky for a bit. He loved nights like this, and this quest was probably going to be kind of fun. He felt that if Sayha showed up, the mission would go by much faster in and of itself. However, it Dumah had also arrived, then he would be able to kill a few birds with one stone. Leaning back onto the ground, he folded his arms underneath his head, and lay there for a little while. The wind was still mildly brisk, but it was a nice feeling. So nice, in fact, that he might have started to drift off...

Music: So Crazy (Set the loop to only 0:00 - 2:05)
The night was young, and the city was as lively as ever. Each Adventurer had his or her own reason to celebrate, be it a successful day in the market, a prosperous raid in the dungeon, or simply to celebrate in an attempt to forget about their lack of a reason to celebrate. Spirits were high, and even the most reserved and formal of Adventurers - as rare as those types are - were letting loose this night.
"Gelephor! Another round of drinks," the half intoxicated Swashbuckler cheerfully held his tankard in the air with a wide grin on his face. "on me!" As this demand was made, a mixture of voices chimed in, shouting in a very loud cheer. The sound could be heard all the way down the street, and the Log Inn was a very active place this night. As the cheering calmed down, the generous Half-Alv put his empty cup down on the counter at which he was seated.
The barkeep grinned as he washed cups like a cliche - perhaps the Game Masters of Elder Tale wanted to go all out on making this establishment a joke? First there was the name: The Log Inn. Perhaps Dumah should advise someone to ask for a cup of the Dragon's Breath. All though, most adventurers who came here were in no sort of quest for glory. "Just how many names do you have prepared? This is, what, your... Bah, I've lost count!"
Both men laughed and Dumah loosened his tie, resting his head on his arm on the counter. "You are a dear friend of mine, Gelephor. I have known you ever since The Apocalypse, after all. It has been quite long, truly!" Dumah seemed to get a sudden burst of respite as he sprang to life, jumping up and standing on the bar stool he had been seated upon, raising the newly filled cup his friend had just given him and shouting to all in the bar. "My friends! I wish to propose a toast!" With his free arm, Dumah gestured towards the man behind the counter and both smiled. "To Gelephor! The friendliest Person of The Land in all of Londinium, and the owner of this great city's greatest tavern!" Dumah raised his cup as he finished his speech. "To Gelephor and the Log Inn! May she bring us an eternity of merriment and pleasure!" Everyone once again rose in a cacophonous mixture of shouting cheers. Dumah, still standing upon the bar stool, tilted his head back, taking a big swig of his drink. As he downed the drink, a notification popped up before him.
Hirosame was calling him? They had conversed a bit at the meeting regarding the train system, but... Did Dumah leave a good impression on him...? Dumah set his drink down and held a finger up at the group of people in the Log Inn, gesturing to them, asking for a moment of silence. Once they were, he sat back down and tightened his tie once again, as though he had to visually impress Hirosame, despite this being only a vocal call. "Hello?" Despite many Adventurers having their Telepathy option set to text based communication, Dumah preferred voice chat. In cases such as this, where two players with differently set settings tried to communicate with the telepathy skill, the game had a text to voice system.
Dumah heard Hirosame's fabricated voice in his ear, as though the man were whispering directly to him from right beside him. He wanted to extend an invitation to Dumah for a hunt. A man of such status as Hirosame inviting Dumah specifically? Either this were a trap, or it were a sign from the gods that Dumah needed to get off his lazy ass and get back to grinding for experience points. He had been here for over a year and he had only reached level thirty five as a Swashbuckler. "Of course, I would be honored to join you, sir Hirosame."
As the call ended, Dumah grabbed his coat and paid for his - and everyone else's - drinks, grabbing his sword and downing a full glass of water in an attempt to sober himself up a bit. The sighs of disappointment were palpable as Dumah left the party at the tavern and headed to where Hirosame summoned him. Sayha’s nightlife was… nonexistent to say the least. During the day, Sayha was usually busy either questing, leveling, or working on scribing. When she was done with her leveling, she would return to her room and just hang out. Before she joined a guild, her room was at one of many of the inns in Londinium, after she joined Apocrypha and was bought to the Guild House aka Buckingham Palace, she took up residence in one of the many rooms. While she was there she kept mostly to herself. Her room was large enough that she could practice her sword dancing without cutting anything or anyone. When she wasn’t sword dancing, she was doing yoga or what she remembered of yoga. Sometimes she would go out and just run laps outside if she needed to cooldown more. That night she had just finished her sword dance practice and was getting ready to run laps outside when she got a telepathy call. When she saw who it was, she answered immediately.
“Hiro, this is an odd time to call, even for you,” Sayha greeted him. Hiro explained that he wanted her help with a quest.
“Sure, where do you need me?” Sayha responded. She nodded when he explained that he was in the Savill Flower Grove.
“I’ll be there,” Sayha stopped the telepathics call. She knew that the Flower Grove was a part of Windsor Greatwood, and she knew where it was. However, she had not been there personally yet. Now was the time she supposed.
Sayha sat down and put on her boots as she had not been wearing them while practicing. Then she went to where her belt was and quickly putting it on followed by both katanas in their sheaths. Once they were secure, she grabbed her duster coat. She shrugged the coat on as she left her room, closing the door behind her. She walked down the hallways and through the foyer where she didn’t run into anyone which she found to be rather normal.
After she left the Palace, she buttoned up her coat and made her way through the winding streets of Londinium. The nightlife in Londinium seemed to be very high, but Sayha did her best to ignore it. She didn’t feel like dealing with drunken idiots at that time.
After she made it to the city gate, Sayha decided she would get her run in after all and started to jog down the road towards where the Grove was.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro had shocked himself awake, and jumped up a little bit, with a surprised noise coming from his mouth. He looked at the in-game clock, and realized that he may have slept for a solid 15 or 20 minutes. He didn't feel groggy or anything, but he still yawned a bit, once his body had woken up a little bit more. Scratching the back of his head a little, he leaned back on his hands, looking back up into the sky again. The moon was still just as full as it had been before. Although, something seemed a little off at the moment. As he looked back down, he saw something like a light in the distance. It didn't seem to be a fairly bright light, but it was still there, and it was enough to make him wonder what it was exactly. Though, given that this was a field at night, he figured that there would likely be some monsters hanging around, and he decided that he'd arm himself even at least a little. Figuring that this would definitely require a bit of a stylistic touch, he would keep with his fists for now, and just have some fun with whatever was over there. But, he'd address that in a few moments.
Hiro had to wonder where everybody else was at the moment. He remembered having invited both Dumah and Sayha along, though he wasn't exactly sure how long ago that was. He figured that both were in the city at the time, though the city was not that far at all from where they were at the current time. As Hiro stood back up, stretching a little bit, he looked over toward the city. It was bright with all the lights from the celebrations that were going on. He wasn't too far from the city, and it wouldn't have been a very long walk to get from there to here. That being the case, maybe the other two had been caught up in some kind of traffic along the way. Oh well, he'd just continue to wait for a few more minutes, for whenever they'd show up. That being addressed, he turned back around, going to take another look at that light from before. However...
"HEHEAHAHEHEHOHEAH!!!!" A shrill voice exploded in his face as he turned around, to which Hiro could only respond by shouting. A pair of giant glowing orange eyes and a massive laughing smile had greeted him, as he fell back and onto his ass. Without even a moment's thought further, he vaulted back and onto his hands, performing Amazonian Tornado quickly, as his leg struck whatever was there in front of him. He pushed himself from the ground, landing on his feet, and looked at whatever had caused him to nearly crap his own pants. A Helio Jack had been floating there, level 6, which had now been converted back into particles. Hiro took a few moments to catch his breath, still in shock. He was NOT expecting that at all. The monk shook his head a little bit, trying to focus on what was important. He stayed standing there, though he leaned over and knelt down. He would need to take a few moments to just get everything straight in his head again, and make sure that he wasn't freaking out quite so much. Though, in his defense, that had legitimately startled him. Hell, if that had happened to anybody else, then that kind of a reaction was likely the usual reaction. As he foolishly tried to validate his actions and reactions, he took a few deep breaths, in an attempt to finally calm down.

Music: In His Mind
Walking through the moonlit thick foliage of the Windsor Great Wood, Dumah found himself anxiously preparing for his hunt with Hirosame. He was, after all, a man of high status and deserved to be treated with respect. Dumah spoke to himself in a cheerful tone, "'Hello, Hiro!' No no, that is too casual... Okay, so, I shall walk up to him and say 'It is an honor to hunt with you-' No that is too strong! Hold back, hold back... Build to that, savor it... Okay so I will walk up to him, I will bow, I will open with my introduction, stating my name and class, as that is the obvious, then for back story I will pepper him with the fact that I came answering his summons. Let us see, what else... Okay so I walk up to him, I introduce myself, explain why I came... After that I will- you know what, just saying hello is too subtle, I will bow! Okay so I bow deeply as I say hello- is that too much? Yeah, just a normal bow... I walk up to him, I bow slightly, say hello, I introduce myself, tell him I am here as per his summons, and then we will hunt. All right, that is perfect!" Dumah, now prepared, found himself walking with a bit of an extra pep in his step and a wide grin upon his face. He was ready to meet the man who had summoned him.
After a long walk, Dumah found himself in the Savill Flower Grove, seeing a familiar, red haired Monk in the distance. He smiled as he quickly went over his plan in his head. 'Okay, just walk up to him, bow slightly, say hello, introduce yourself, tell him you came to answer his summons, and then all will be good from there...' Dumah approached the man and received a smile and greeting from him as he approached. All Dumah had to do now was initiate his plan and everything would be perfect. In a suave voice he had gotten from his time practicing his skills as a Courtesan, Dumah spoke. "I m new in town~" There was a palpably awkward silence between the two... This was a nightmare... Surely Hirosame would consider Dumah to be some sort of weirdo now! All right, this could still be salvaged, it is just like any failing raid! Observe the battle field, note your exits and your opportunities... His forehead sweating in worry, Dumah stuttered a bit. "I-I will be right back..." He quickly speed walked out of sight, hiding behind a tree and gently slapping his cheeks. "You idiot! What was that?! 'I am new in town,' what are you expecting him to set you up with someone?!" After a few moments of calming himself down and repeatedly going over his plan again, he walked back to the Monk, hoping to try again. Dumah bowed at a forty five degree angle, smiling softly as he spoke. "Hello, sir Hirosame. Dumah Iino, Swashbuckler and Guild Master of Noihara here as per your summons." Dumah stood straight again.

It didn’t take long for Sayha to arrive at the Flower Grove. Once she arrived, she stopped running and slowed her pace to a fast walk. Up ahead, she saw Hiro… and another familiar face she hadn’t been expecting. It was Dumah, a Swashbuckler she seemed to keep running into. He looked like he was walking towards Hiro so she turned on <Hearing Aptitude> to see what was going on. Sayha about fell over when she first heard how Dumah greeted Hiro, and she could now smell alcohol in the air… Dumah was drunk. After he regained himself, Dumah went back to Hiro and formally re-introduced himself. Sayha rolled her eyes and turned off <Hearing Aptitude> as she approached. As soon as she was beside Dumah, she slapped him hard on the back of his head. Hopefully that would sober him up or at least knock some sense into him. “Loosen up, Swashbuckler,” Sayha told him, “It’s a quest, not a date. Senpai has already noticed you if you’re here.”
Sayha then walked over to Hiro with a slight smile, “Konbanwa. Usually when you call me and ask for my help, you give me a bit more of a heads up. Was this a spur of the moment thing you came up with or a last second request from a Lander?”
Sayha wouldn’t have been surprised if the answer would have been either options she gave. She had gotten used to how Hiro was which she assumed was a good thing. By that time, they had gone on quite a few adventures together so they worked well as a team. She had also been on a decent amount of adventures with Dumah… but never the two together. Sayha figured that the synergy between Hiro and herself would be the dominant feeling, and she hoped that Dumah would at least be able to adapt to it. The way that he was now with being super formal was definitely not like how they were.

[attr="class","capsol"] Still moderately jumpy from the previous encounter, he was fairly concerned with his surroundings when he heard the sound of walking nearby him. Without turning around, he started to access his inventory, and selected one of his guns to equip to himself. He waited for a few moments more, and was about to turn around and blast away as fast as he could, but upon turning around, he saw the Swashbuckler having made his way up first. Letting out a sigh of relief, he kept the gun on his side for now, and looked up at the man. He was a bit more than distraught, though, given the previous happenstance. However, Hiro quickly found out that the Swashbuckler was of a less-than-normal state of mind, given that he could smell the alcohol very heavily on him. The Swashbuckler then very quickly attempted to be suave, and told Hiro that he was new in town. Hiro's expression shifted to one of much more confusion, and considered grabbing the gun from his side and firing away anyways. It's dark, and Hiro could have confused the guy with a monster easily.
With his story set in his mind, and his trigger finger ready to go, the Swashbuckler retreated behind a tree. It wasn't that much longer afterward, after what Hiro could only assume was an attempt at a pep-talk to himself, that Dumah had walked back over, and given a much more normal greeting. His first impression of the guy was alright, but given this new side that he'd seen, he might have begun to regret the invitation. Far too formal for his own liking, Hiro responded. "Yeah... Sure, glad you're here." Confusion was still painfully obvious on his face, as he took a step back. Just a moment later, Sayha had walked up, and slapped the Swashbuckler upside the back of the head. While it was entertaining to watch, it was still enough to make him wonder where exactly he was in the given moment. At that same time, though, he was more than glad that he wasn't on the Assassin's blacklist, as Dumah had appeared to be already. Though, the two of them knew each other better than Hiro knew the Swashbuckler, so that would make him relax a little bit. That having been taken care of, Sayha smiled and greeted him.
"Would you be upset if I said it was a bit of both?" He retorted to the Assassin, a smile forming on his face. "Sorry to call you both out here all of a sudden, but I was asked by a Lander to help exterminate some monsters in the area. Halloween-themed monsters. Mostly a bunch of Jacks in the surrounding area, so nothing all that potent to any of us. Should all be lower-than-usual levels, which would make them cake for this mission. That being the case, though..." He trailed off, and looked to the side, embarrassed. A flush appeared across his face, though it was less noticeable, thanks to the darkness of night. "I may or may not have accepted the quest, without reading that it was for multiple people only." He paused, about ready to accept a slap across the face from Sayha. Dumah had obviously been partying, but he would be in some serious shit if Sayha was sleeping, and he interrupted her nighttime snoozles for this.
He shook his head a bit, and looked back at the two of them. "This shouldn't take long at all, since we've just got to kill a bunch of those Jacks, which, as I said, were fairly easy. As that's the case, I've decided that I'll be doing this a bit differently tonight." He reached into his inventory, and pulled out two pistols, one as black as the night, and one as light as the snow. He twirled them around a few times, and held them in his hands before the two. Smirking a little, he placed them both into their holsters on his sides. "We'll get started whenever you two're ready." He was a little confident with how this would go, especially since he had been doing a bit of practicing with his gun-play over the past few days. He waited for the two to respond, before doing anything else.

Music: The Pillars ((Sorry Hiro, I wasn't getting any good motivation from the Soul Eater soundtrack anymore, so here's Soul Reaver.))
Dammit. He blew it. He could tell he had left an awful impression on the Monk. Dumah felt like just crawling into a hole and dying at this point, you just cannot recover from a screw up like the one Dumah just had trying - and failing - to greet Hirosame. Dumah could already imagine what was running through Hiro's mind: 'I'm supposed to hunt with this guy...?' 'I can't believe such a weirdo is a guild master...' Dumah's life was over, he was nothing more than filthy Adventurer scum! Just put him by the trash on garbage day... What will happen if he disappears? Everyone's lives may improve! Dumah was convinced now that he had to-!
THWACK!!
Dumah felt a strike to the back of his head. Monsters, perhaps? The Swashbuckler quickly turned around, a bit on edge due to the time of year, pulling his blade about three centimeters from its scabbard before realizing what was before him. His guess was right, it was a truly vile monster, one he had crossed paths with many times before. "Hello, Sayha."
He sheathed the sword fully once again, retreating from his half-initiated combat stance and standing straight once again as he was teased by the Assassin for how he was acting around her guild master, being told to loosen up. "Loosen up, yes... You're right..." Thankfully, the attack had brought him to his senses a bit, and he was now able to think clearly... Okay not clearly, really, but... Clearer...? The intoxication of the alcohol no longer had as strong an effect on him.
Hiro began to explain the context of this party, stating that he had accepted a quest from a Person of The Land to hunt the Halloween monsters. He turned to the side, embarrassed, his cheeks glowing pink as he admit that he had not bothered to read the fine print, and thus did not realize that the quest required a party. Hiro looked utterly adorable when he revealed his embarrassed reaction, and Dumah chuckled slightly, smiling a bit. Hiro then paused before stating that he did not expect this quest to last too long, stating all they had to do was hunt the Jacks. "What level range will we be hunting? Did the quest giver specify a specific type of Jack to hunt? I've just been hunting them to grind, no quest involved, so I don't know Jack..." Dumah was making a total fool of himself, he really should stop drinking so much when events are in progress...
Hiro then pulled out two pistols and showed off a bit, spinning them before putting them in their holsters. "A Monk toting dual pistols? I wonder if Swashbucklers get any kind of bonus from dual wielding pistols, much like the other weapon types..." Nevertheless, Dumah was interested to see how the Monk's aim was and he smiled, his left hand resting on the hilt of his sheathed sword. "This sounds like it'll be a fun night, cowboy." Dumah raised his right hand, the thumb and index finger extended, aiming towards the forest, his forearm shooting up as he said a casual 'Bang,' a not so subtle reference to one of Dumah's childhood heroes, a certain popular space cowboy. He then returned his attention to the group. "I look forward to working with you both."

Dumah had been surprised when Sayha slapped him, and she was prepared for that. She had her left hand on her sword in case he accidentally attacked her. However, he did notice right away that it was her so he re-sheathed his blade. Sayha turned her attention to Hiro who explained that the quest was a bit of both spur of the moment and a last second request. He said he had gotten the quest from a Lander but had not realized that the quest had been for a party only. He flushed slightly, and Sayha couldn’t help but smirk. It was definitely something out of character for him, but that made it all the more entertaining.
Dumah has started to ask what kind of Jacks they would be hunting, however he cut himself off when he was about to say he didn’t know anything, but in different words that made her want to slap him again. After a moment though, Hiro pulled out two pistols, but they weren’t ones that Sayha had seen yet. Dumah commented on him wielding them and said he was looking forward to working with both Hiro and Sayha.
“Those are new,” Sayha commented to Hiro, “Decide to go long-distance full time?” Sayha was joking of course, and she made sure that was obvious in how she said it. Sayha herself pulled out her own blades, activating <Death Stinger> on them so they were poisoned. After, she switched from holding them normally to holding them backwards parallel to her arm.
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed movement and activated <Hearing Aptitude>. She could hear the movement but no discernable voice. “I think we have company,” Sayha finally said, nodding north to where they were standing. She assumed Dumah would be their tank since Hiro had decided to test out his new pistols. Sayha then activated <Hiding Entry> and <Silent Move>. She made her way over to where she had seen the movement. There were two Helio Jacks so they were just curious. However, she felt like something was off about them… They were level 10 so she could have easily one shot them, but she thought it would be better to wait for the other two to make their move.
She moved behind the Jacks and continued to sweep the area. There was something else out there, and she needed to find it.

[attr="class","capsol"] It seemed that the conversation had suddenly shifted from being awkward and strange to a rather welcoming one, that had a bit of banter from all sides. Dumah seemed to have been relaxing a bit more, as the alcohol slowly left his system. Sayha, also, seemed to be more relaxed, as she chuckled at Hiro's slight flash of embarrassment earlier. Both of them did, in fact, and it was quite a nice thing to see. However, that moment likely wouldn't last all that much longer, as Sayha had mentioned something about there being company. As much as he knew that he mission they were here for had to do with killing the Jacks in the nearby area, at the same time, he didn't think they'd appear so suddenly. He was still a bit jumpy from the Helio Jack prior to now, which scared him a good deal. But, such is life, he supposed.
Hiro would have loved to have hung around and talked for a little while longer, however it seemed that their conversation had just about ended there. The monsters that were supposedly around them had suddenly sparked up, as he noted that there were only two monsters in the immediate vicinity. Given that they were, however, just Helio Jacks, it made sense that the monsters would likely not cause them all that much trouble. The one thing that was, however, causing him a bit of trouble, was wondering if he should try and take care of them himself. That was, however, not going to be the case, since he figured both Sayha and Dumah wanted in on some of this, too. However, it seemed that Sayha had wanted to go behind and check to see if there were any other monsters at the moment. While that was sensible enough, he figured that she should try not to get in over her head. However, since the girl was now level 30, and able to handle herself in a fight quite well, as he had learned not too long ago, he had no problem letting her do as she pleased for the time being. It was just a matter of time before she was off doing her own things, killing monsters left and right.
This was, however, until Hiro had noticed that there were a few more monsters that had showed up. He turned to the Swashbuckler next to himself, and shrugged. "I'll take the new ones?" He suggested. Without even waiting for a response, Hiro was already off and running towards the new set of monsters. They happened to be a couple pairs of Frost Jacks and Flare Jacks, their colored lights and fires very obviously telling of their beings. He raised up the guns, and fired two rounds in rapid succession into the first of the Flare Jacks. The bullets impacted rather quickly, and destroyed the target almost immediately. He didn't care to get close enough to check their levels, since they were likely to be destroyed so quickly, thanks to the fact that Hiro had a pair of level 90 guns. The remaining Flare Jack shot a Firewheel over at him, to which he nimbly vaulted overhead from. Landing on the other side of the monster, Hiro forced his hand that held the black gun out behind himself, and blasted it once. The monster then began to somewhat tick, as Hiro leaped out of the way. Exploding behind him, the Flare Jack had disappeared, leaving only the two remaining Frost Jacks left for him to fight. He figured that Dumah would likely have no problem with the Helio Jacks over in the other direction, so he would leave that to him. He also figured that Sayha would find something to keep her interest and entertainment, so he'd have his little bit of fun over here with these guys. He raised up the guns once again, holding them in a ready firing position.

Everyone suddenly went off to do their thing, fighting their own groups. Dumah watched with a piqued interest as Hiro fought the group of Frost Jacks and Flare Jacks. His movement was interesting, and oddly intoxicating. No, wait, that was the alcohol. Dammit Dumah, get yourself together! Before he knew it, the fight was over and Dumah saw a pair of Helio Jacks floating his way. They were calm, soothing, as though they were simply bobbing lures in an endless ocean of... endlessness... They came to Dumah calmly, and the Swashbuckler smiled, pointing at them and looking at his party mates with an entertained smile on his face. "Hey check this out, I think it likes me!" He focused his attention on the closest of the two floating pumpkins, slowly and calmly moving towards it, gently placing a hand upon it and petting it. It was like he had tamed it! This was an easy job! He pet the pumpkin a bit, naming them both. "You're Nupraptor," he then turned to the other pumpkin, petting it gently with his other hand, "and you're Elzevir!" Dumah had formed a dear bond with his new companions - one that would last a life time, as he and the pumpkins lived happily ever after. Quite the fantasy the Swashbuckler envisioned, and very poorly written. Were he not intoxicated, he would have reprimanded himself for coming up with such an awful tale - he was a playwright after all! "Guys, look at this! I think they like me! They really, really like me!" He pet the pumpkins more, rubbing them harder and faster with his hands. After a moment, both pumpkins bit both of his hands. For a couple of berries, these things really bit hard! The Swashbuckler growled in pain, recoiling and trying to wave them off his hands, but the fruit held him tight! He kept flailing his arms around as hard as he could in an attempt to launch them off. "GET IT OFF GET IT OFF GET IT OFF GET IT OFF GET IT OFF-" After a while, his attempts had failed and he had to try a different plan. Opening the palm of his left hand, which Elzevir had a firm grip on, the Swashbuckler angrily shouted with fierce determination (fueled by sheer pain) "FIREBALL PITCH!!" With that, the pumpkin glowed bright and Dumah had forgotten about the situation at hand for a moment as he was amazed, realizing what he had just done, "Oh wow that's cool, I just made one of them into a Jack-O-Lantern!" Not soon after, the pumpkin began to melt, scalding his hand. The Swashbuckler was clearly in much pain, and his body was stiff and completely motionless like stone as he put all his strength to holding back the resist to shriek in pain. 'This hurts, this hurts, this hurts, this reeeaaally hurts!!' After he had caught his breath and swallowed back his tears, he had one hand free - a hand that was scarred with burns. Hopefully that would fix itself after some healing... "Ante Up!!" The Swashbuckler's voice was a bit uneasy from the stinging pains in his left hand. As he forced the skill out of his lips, his sword levitated from its scabbard, attacking the last remaining pumpkin, killing it in a single blow. Nupraptor fell to the ground, and Dumah knelt down to the ground, lifting the pumpkin in his now freed right hand, holding it up slightly to the moon light, gazing into its lifeless carved eyes. "Alas, poor Nupraptor... I knew him well. Well... Not really..." Words: 597 | Total Words: 2,401 Tags: @shadowsaiph Hirosame Coding by Sayha of LH

After Sayha got into position, she watched as Hiro quickly dispatched of two more Jacks that had appeared after Sayha saw the other two. Hiro definitely seemed to be good at his aim, and he would have even more practice as there were some Jacks for him to deal with. Dumah, however, did not seem to be handing the situation well at all. Dumah was completely drunk despite Sayha’s attempt to knock some sense into him. The two Helio Jacks from before went over to Dumah. Somehow he thought that he had befriended them and called them some weird names… then they attacked him, and Dumah kind of went nuts.
Sayha rolled her eyes, and turned her attention back to the area around them. She saw movement, but she didn’t hear anything. She drew her two swords, activating <Death Stinger> on them so that they were poisoned. It was probably her least-favorite Jack to deal with. Once it stopped moving and it was in range, Sayha targeted it. It was a level 25 Ripper Jack just as she thought. “<Quick Draw>,” Sayha dashed forward towards the Ripper Jack and surprised it. As soon as it revealed itself, two other Ripper Jacks, level 30 and 28 appeared. All three of them attacked her with their <Pumpkin Knives> attack, but Sayha was able to somersault backwards twice to dodge all of the knives.
Sayha quickly targeted one of the other Ripper Jacks and ran over to it, “<Sword Rain Flurry>.” Two out of three Jacks were then poisoned. However, Sayha didn’t have time to poison the other one as <Pumpkin Bombs> were thrown at her, and she had to dodge them.
She would probably need help in a bit, but she assumed that the other two heard the explosion… well, she assumed one of them did. The other one, she decided to give up on and push him over a nearby cliff when she was done.

[attr="class","capsol"] While the others had their own problems to deal with, Hiro looked over and watched Dumah's fated struggle with the two helio jacks in the area. Bobbing and weaving out of the attacks from both of the Frost Jacks that had accompanied him for now, he just watched as the intoxicated Swashbuckler seemed to have bargained more than he wanted. Hiro couldn't help but wonder what exactly Dumah had drank before having come here, but it looked to be a rather fierce drink. Either way, Hiro contemplated helping out by firing a few bullets over his way, to get the Jacks off his arms, but it looked like he had handled it from there. Maybe not as well as he could have, but it was still taken care of. The Monk still had to wonder how and why the Swashbuckler was the leader of a guild. Perhaps he was the leader of a party guild? Where all they did was party it up, day in and day out. There'd been a few guilds like that. Usually, they didn't last long, thanks to the fact that love triangles would usually form, and then, well... Look at the song title in this template.
Sayha, however, seemed to be having a bit of trouble on her own side as well, as a few Ripper Jacks of higher levels decided to join in the fun. The number of them being there seemed to be enough of a problem for them, especially because their numbers were collectively higher than Sayha's. Hiro knew that he should probably go over and help her, but that would be for later. At least, until he'd heard the pumpkin bomb explode. That's about when he knew that Sayha was in a little over her head. Hiro flourished the guns in his hands, and shot both of the Frost Jacks repeatedly. He knew they were gone, as soon as he had to reload, since he might have decided to get a little trigger happy. He wasn't looking at the monsters as he fired, though, but he knew that he had hit them. He could tell especially well because he knew where to dodge from. After having confirmed that these little monsters were all done and taken care of, he started to dash off toward Sayha, reloading his dual guns in a rather flashy manner. He had a few cartridges on his sides, and brought both guns down near his waist, picking up the cases in the butt of the guns.
Hiro then slammed the two guns together at their bases, to lock the rounds into the gun, and then twirled them both in his hands, flicking the hammers back, to initiate the loading procedure. As the Monk got closer to the level 28 Ripper, he pointed both the guns up and at it, firing off a small volley. Hiro vaulted over the creature, and landed on the other side. Without turning around, he raised his right arm up and pointed the gun to the monster's head, firing once. He turned around, and stamped his foot onto the ground, activating Rafting Taunt. "Yosha! Kore o yarou!!" He shouted, attracting the attention of the monsters nearby. Hopefully, the poison hadn't taken its full effect yet from the Assassin's attack, which would allow Hiro to hold their aggro just a little bit better. He jumped backwards a little bit, getting it so that he was facing the Assassin. "Same plan as always, Sayha! Mess 'em up!" Hiro called out to the girl. He would then begin a flurry of dodging and evading, allowing the Assassin to do what it is she does best. Whatever Dumah was up to at the moment, he wasn't entirely sure. However, he did have to wonder if the Swashbuckler would show up one of these days. But, that's not for now. Hiro focused on moving around, making sure that he'd avoid damage while Sayha killed these monsters.

Music: Fight of The Assassins
Dumah allowed himself plenty of time to sit and rest as his health very slowly climbed back up to 100%. Once it had, he still had the scars on his left hand from the wounds inflicted posthumously by the damnable pumpkin Elzevir. Well, actually now that I think about it, can I really use the word posthumous for a pumpkin? It's a fruit, not a human being. It was his friend though! How Could I be so cold?! Granted, it was a friend that tried to kill me but- what was I talking about? Oh! Right, the scars, or... whatever... With his hand hideously scarred, Dumah slid his charred hand into his pocket, holding his sword tightly in his right hand, but not for very long. The Swashbuckler lowered himself a bit before throwing the sword straight up, as high as he could, acting shocked at the nothingness before him. "Is this a dagger which I see before me, the handle toward my hand?" Dumah held his hand straight out as if to grab at the very air, "Come, let me clutch thee." Still high above in the air - somewhere - Dumah's hand remained empty. "I have thee not, and yet I see thee still... Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible to feeling as to sight? Or art thou but a dagger of the mind, a false creation, proceeding from the heat-oppressed brain?" Dumah closed his eyes in an expression of solemn sorrow, holding his right hand open, the palm turned upwards toward the sky, catching the blade by its grip. "I see thee yet," Dumah continued, his eyes opening and observed his sword as he drew it nearer to his face, "in form as palpable as this which now I draw." With an odd beauty from his skills as an actor coming from the old world, Dumah softly pressed his lips against the blade, planting a small kiss upon it, before quickly slashing his sword at an angle down to the right side, standing rather valiantly as he gazed upon the battlefield, determination and fire in his eyes. The Swashbuckling MacBeth ran to the aid of his friends, fighting with a single arm. Dumah joined the fray, swinging his sword at the first Ripper Jack with as much force as he could afford, doing his best to dodge all of its attacks. His movements were surprisingly smooth for someone who was so intoxicated. As he dodged the oversized Jack-o'-lantern's attack, he rushed toward it, activating his Viper Raise skill, thrusting his sword straight at the pumpkin and stabbing two holes in it, pumpkin juice slowly flowing out of the wounds, applying a Bleed effect to the Ripper Jack, adding to the damage Sayha's poison was already dealing. Dumah grinned victoriously as the Ripper Jack was losing health rather quickly, having to deal with two damage over time debuffs. Having drawn the fruit's aggro, he stood still as it began to rush at him, waiting until the last moment before leaping overhead and rolling midair to slash at it with a vertical buzz saw style attack with his High Roller skill. As he landed behind the enemy, he quickly spun in place with his sword arm stretched out, chaining his Shuffle Windmill skill into the combo, delivering the killing blow to the floaty fruit. Dumah figured Hiro and Sayha had the remaining Ripper Jack under control, surely they would not mind killing it after Dumah stole their kill, right? As apology, or maybe thanks, he would let Sayha deal with the third and final Ripper Jack. After all, it would surely be a great fight of- well, just look at THIS post's song title~ Dumah grabbed his tie, wiping the juice covered blade of his sword with it. "Thou marshall'st me the way that I was going; And such an instrument I was to use. Mine eyes are made the fools o' the other senses, or else worth all the rest; I see thee still, and on thy blade and dudgeon gouts of blood, which was not so before." Dumah licked a wip of the remaining juice off of his sword. "There's no such thing: It is the bloody business which informs thus to mine eyes." As Dumah was monologue-ing to himself, he had his back turned to his party members, who were already fighting the last Ripper Jack. "Now o'er the one halfworld nature seems dead, and wicked dreams abuse the curtain'd sleep; witchcraft celebrates Pale Hecate's offerings, and wither'd murder, alarum'd by his sentinel, the wolf, whose howl's his watch, thus with his stealthy pace." Dumah would have to thank Sayha and Hiro for keeping the monster's attention while he finished his big line. Acting is no game, and each performance, no matter how small the audience, must be taken very seriously. "With Tarquin's ravishing strides, towards his design moves like a ghost. Thou sure and firm-set earth, hear not my steps, which way they walk, for fear thy very stones prate of my whereabout, and take the present horror from the time, which now suits with it. Whiles I threat, he lives: words to the heat of deeds too cold breath gives!" Dumah grabbed his starter dagger from his inventory, hurling it at the monster he had left in the capable hands of his companions. It spun in the air until the bottom of the grip hit the pumpkin, bouncing off. [CRITICAL HIT: 1 DAMAGE] Dumah continued his speech, despite the awkward failure of a throwing attack. "I go, and it is done; the bell invites me. Hear it not, Duncan; for it is a knell that summons thee to heaven or to hell."

Sayha was glad to see Hiro attack and kill the Ripper Jack that hadn’t been poisoned. He then taunted the other two Jacks. However her poisons had already set it, but Sayha was ready for that. “<Trinket Work>,” Sayha bent down slightly, and her aura began to glow purple which decreased her aggro. The Jacks then turned and went for Hiro. Out of nowhere, drunk Dumah appeared and attacked one of the Ripper Jacks… while quoting MacBeth… Sayha really wanted to push him over a cliff now. However among his seeming insanity, he was able to kill the Jack. Which left the last one for her.
“<Accel Dance>,” Sayha ran up to the other Jack and began slashing and stabbing it as fast as she could. Just as the HP was low enough, Sayha activated her last skill, “<Deadly Dance>.” She slashed her swords at the jack in an x pattern. Once the attack hit, the Ripper Jack exploded into bubbles.
Sayha quickly activated <Hearing Aptitude>, looking around. There didn’t seem to be any more Jacks in the area. Sayha sheathed her blades, pulling one of the sheathed blades off of her belt. She then walked over to Dumah and hit him over the head with the sheath. Sayha rolled her eyes again, reattaching the sheathed blade to her belt as she made her way over to Hiro.
“Well, there’s nothing more in this area in regards to monsters,” Sayha said, “I think that the Lander was probably just concerned about that gang of Ripper Jacks. Now that they’re gone, things should return to normal. We should go ahead and head back to turn in the quest.”
