Renai wasn't sure exactly what Hiro was getting at with his request, but the player simply stood there and nodded his assent. It seemed like Hiro knew something that Elkeid and Renai didn't, and that bugged Renai. Still, by the way Hiro was speaking, they'd find out soon enough. More than that, Renai was used to having things kept from him and him acting on a strictly 'need to know' basis. When Hiro approached the site, Renai checked his clock just as Hiro had. Information was key here, and the player was watching his clock carefully to time things. He almost didn't notice Hiro getting thrown off the bird temporarily, like a matador, but he was right back on top of the creature a moment later. Once that was settled, Renai kept his eyes on Stonehenge, on whatever was going to happen. It didn't disappoint. The creature was a golem, that much was for sure, but it was nothing like Renai had ever seen before. He watched carefully and started counting seconds, noting how the creature moved and how it lumbered about. If it was as fast as the emu-ostrich thing, then... Although it despawned in short order, Renai was still going over all the calculations within his head. Just because it didn't use a skill didn't mean it couldn't somehow use some sort of Pokemon rollout maneuver and crush all of them. Hiro had wanted to know where it had despawned, so Renai immediately launched Pulse Bullet after Nightmare Sphere after Pulse Bullet right at the spot the golem had dissolved, keeping his eyes focused on the area he was targeting. Renai walked, slipping past Elkeid and her strange units of measurement as well as Hiro and his questions. Seven meters was too short. That thing was as fast as the ostrich Hiro had been riding on, seven meters was... nothing. Temporal problems? Spatial problems? Renai was suddenly very interested as he kept his pulse bullets carefully striking the same spot over and over again, until he finally reached that point and did what he had to do as a woodcrafter. He Quick Construction'd himself a post, finishing the task in a few moments and slamming the stake into the ground. Renai considered walking back to Stonehenge, but if that thing respawned if he got too close... He wasn't about to test that theory. Instead, he stood next to the post and, with Quick Construction, did some more adjustments to the post, creating an angular protrusion that pointed straight for where Hiro had been when the creature had appeared. He was engrossed in calculations now, trying to determine the distance the golem had traveled. If he knew how fast that golem moved... In his own indirect way, Renai had directly pointed out where the golem had despawned. He was just very wrapped up in making calculations instead, writing figures into the air lightly with his finger. [Tag Elkeid Hirosame ] [ Music ]

Hiro let out a begrudging sigh, as both his allies seemed to have a general idea of where and how the monster disappeared. While Elkeid's answer was a bit off the wall, she corrected herself, and Hiro understood what she meant. She meant that the monster disappeared seven meters from this exact spot. Renai seemed to know where it ended up, too, but his ability to construct a wall or whatever he was making to show exactly where it disappeared. Hiro walked over to the man's construction, and looked at it for a few moments, before turning back to face where the Stonehenge site was. Hiro looked down to the lower left-hand side, checking his internal clock, or where he had set it to be. He waited a little bit longer, and eventually, the site reappeared. Hiro started to walk over to it, probably at the risk of being yelled at by his allies, to investigate it further. He knew that he monster wasn't going to respawn quite yet, so he took his time.
Hiro reached the site slowly and eventually, he was in the middle of the rock formation. The first thing he started to look for was any strange symbols or numbers on the ground or pillars, but found nothing of the sort. This was one of the things that Hiro had forgotten to check during their previous mission out here, as Apocrypha. He then looked closer at the ground, trying to see if he could find anything of value on the ground. But, there weren't any protrusions at all, let alone anything really of any value. He squinted a bit at the site, hoping to have found something by now, though. He didn't see anything he hadn't seen before during the Apocrypha run. If course, this only meant that there weren't any more secrets to the site, and that what he saw was what he was going to get. Unless one of the two allies he had was a scholar, they probably wouldn't be able to find anything else out. He sighed, turning back to his allies, and beckoned them over. Maybe they could find something of value that he hadn't noticed.

While Elkeid had relied on her vision to make a rough estimate of the golem's spawn rate, Renai was more methodical and anal about it. The Enchanter went through the trouble of interchanging between two spells to measure the distance, and eventually settled down to construct an object. The man's actions made little sense to Elkeid, who just stood back and watched him work for a bit. 'He's really serious about this, huh?' So serious that he was "scribbling" around in the air with his fingers. What was he, some kind of mathematician? Elkeid gave a little shake of her head as she turned to glance over at Hiro, who was making his way towards Renai's post.
Of course, it would have been nice to know what exactly they were skulking around for. All they knew was that Stonehenge summoned a big ass golem around this hour, and that it would have squashed Hiro and his giant chicken flat if they'd stood still long enough. 'Don't tell me he actually wants to fight that thing.' Even Elkeid wasn't that crazy. There was no way she could suplex a golem that big.
There was a beckoning wave from Hiro, which Elkeid took her time responding to. She slowly made her way over to Renai's little construction site, eyes scanning the ground as she walked. There was a whole lot of grass and claw marks from the chicken, as well as places that had been crushed underfoot. These latter parts were big enough for Elk to stand comfortably in, and were either from men with incredibly large feet, or from the golem's massive ones. The Monk was willing to bet on the latter.
She came to a stop near Hiro, arms folded and head tilted a little to the side. 'What exactly are we looking for here…?" This little field trip had taken an unexpected turn towards the unknown. There was a soft cry of "kweh" somewhere to the side. The chicken had apparently found something of interest, and was rooting around in the dirt and grass with its long and powerful legs. Elk just assumed it had found a fresh batch of worms or some small critter to eat, but it wasn't pecking at the ground like a hungry bird would. It was playing. Elk raised an eyebrow as the bird kicked what looked like a chunk of smooth, flashy rock free of the earth. That rock could easily blend in with the golem's body. "Well, what do you know. It looks like the bird is good for more than transportation." Notes:Nothing.

Renai squinted slightly at the sound of Hiro's sigh. That begrudging sigh... had Renai done something to make the monk resent him? Although Renai had been fairly careful about not stepping too close to Stonehenge, it seemed Hiro was going all in with his investigation. A small shrug and some more construction and calculations later had Renai more or less certain on the distances and angles that he wanted to find out, so he followed behind the rest of the party with careful steps. It was strange to see Stonehenge suddenly reappear out of nowhere, but he supposed that was how it was. Something like that. With his other work basically done, the housekeeper stepped carefully and casually towards his goal, one hand on his chin as he glanced around thoughtfully at the area. He hadn't had much of an interest before, but if it was going to turn into a golem... If it had the capacity to turn into a golem... The Enchanter was walking around investigating things, but unlike the big yellow bird, he didn't seem to find anything of interest. He was an Enchanter and a Woodcrafter, things like this were a bit esoteric and most certainly outside of his span of expertise. Still, there was a curious connection that he did consider. "...Is there a spell to turn something into a golem?" The question was fairly simple. Having walked around town and done some investigation, he didn't know much of such spells yet, but he felt like there might be such a possibility. Maybe it was... No, summoners summoned creatures, they didn't create constructs. Maybe Alchemists or... perhaps Druids? Renai continued to look around thoughtfully before glancing over at the flashy rock and making a small humming sound. Interesting.

Walking up to the site, he immediately started to push aside the rubble that was left of the national landmark. He hadn't actually been here before; his parents having decided that it was a waste of money to actually go out and see the site, since it was just a large collection of standing stones. But, in his last escapade in to the site with Midori and Fernweh, it still served its purpose of being an educational find. Not only had they found out that the location was actually a field boss, but it was comprised almost entirely out of Magitech, which had yet to be largely improved upon by the common Alchemists of this day and age. It would serve to reason that the monstrosity that was created from the stones would have been made by some sort of player, or that it was a natural spawn, intending to pique the interest of any wandering schmuck who found out that Magitech was being used by the enemies. Perhaps a little foreshadowing of what is to come.
But, that wasn't what he was really worried about at the moment. However good it was to speculate the ideas, he still needed to focus on what he was looking for today. Since he and Midori, who hadn't found much in their last escapade here aside from the monster spawning, checked and found only rocks, he might need to dig a bit in order to find what it is that he may or may not be looking for. Kicking the boulders and stones to the sides, Hiro kept looking, almost ignoring Elkeid entirely. "I'm looking for some sort of Magitech contraption that controls the golem, or causes it to spawn. If I can find it, I can probably bring it back, or a piece of it, to some of the other alchemists back in London." As he was saying this, it didn't immediately occur to him that the chicken was helping out a bit. He turned his head at the sound of Elkeid's praising of the bird, and looked to what it had just dug up. His eyes widened a bit, before standing up and circling around the glowing stone.
He knelt down to look at the stone more closely, and cleared away some of the nearby dirt, to take a good look at it. The entire stone was glowing in a fashion that he could only recognize as a circuit pattern. He cleared out some more stone from nearby it, and saw that it was going in one direction to a central point. Hiro kept digging at it, and eventually found a place where it looked like it could be the center. Hiro dug that part out, and found a glowing crystal. His jaw dropped, as his face was illuminated by the radiance of the object. He reached his hands out to grasp it, wondering just what kind of a material it was. Just after this, it vanished, and the stones stopped glowing. The ground shook, as it had before when Stonehenge was first summoned, and the quaking stopped abruptly. He didn't want to fight that monster again, so he immediately started to sprint back to a safe distance, hoping his allies would be following him as he did so.

Whatever the rock was, Hiro seemed to have taken a shine in it. He was eying the stone like a youth who had just happened upon a (then unknown to him) dragon egg. Elkeid was curious, too, but not enough to get up close and personal like Hiro. She preferred to stay back and let the redhead and chicken carry out their observations. The bird followed after Hiro as the youth picked up the egg rock and meandered off. She assumed that he was going to keep it, until the boy deposited the rock into some sort of hole.
Elkeid's face blanched as the very ground beneath their feet began to rumble. It stopped a few seconds later, but she was not going to be taking any chances. Immediately after Hiro ran, Elk followed. Hooray for more running. The bird chose to linger for a bit, but was soon overtaking Elk in speed. It slowed down long enough to give her a soft, mocking, "Kweh~" and then sprinted off.
The bird was lounging beside a tree when she finally skidded to a stop beside it. "Kweh!" Elkeid rested her forward against the cool wood of the tree, the twisted lyrics of a song popping into mind. ’Hiro! Do you want to build a golem~?’ Elk clapped her hands over her mouth to stifle the bout of hysterical laughter building up within her. So that stone could resummon the golem? That wasn’t terrifying or anything. And to think that the bird was playing with it like a child’s ball. ’I think I’ve had enough excitement for today.’ [newclass=.elkeid]background-color:#050505; border: 2px solid #050505; border-radius: 5px; overflow: hidden; width: 200px; height:6px;[/newclass] [newclass=.elkeid]background-color:#050505; border: 2px solid #050505; border-radius: 5px; overflow: hidden; width: 200px; height:6px;[/newclass]

Renai's interest was more founded in the actual construction of Stonehenge itself, which seemed like a needlessly large structure that served little to no purpose. Actual landmarks that were geographical features were one thing, but things like Stonehenge or perhaps some sort man-made 'wonder' drew his attention. After all, there wasn't any need to actually create it, so why had it been ported? Perhaps just for the simple effect of the game or perhaps something else? Well, Renai's interest had moved onto the magitech-like object that Hiro had uncovered. Alchemy was interesting to the enchanter as well, but he knew what he was used to and he knew what he was good at. The elegant housemaid wasn't a magician, he just cleaned up after people. Alchemy might have been his choice in another life. Well, whatever cleaning up he might have done, it seemed that everything was about to crash down around them. The orb vanished and the ground began to shake, leaving the player squinting and first checking to make sure everyone else was running. They were. Hiro had already taken off, and Elkeid was hot on his trail. Even the bird didn't stay for long, which meant it was Renai's turn to skedaddle. Rather than run straight for the treeline or whatever, Renai ran for the post he had set up a bit before. That was where he would stop and turn around, because that was where Stonehenge had disappeared last time. He skidded to a stop and elegantly reversed orientation with a cast of Inversion, turning back to stare at the landmark. Wait for it... wait for it... Renai stood and waited, wondering whether or not this thing would come after them or if something else would happen. At the end of it all, he'd turn around and head back to camp with the other two. The end. Also exit.
