[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]RENAI [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Vincent Saliere [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 23 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Pansexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: morichika rinnosuke, SHRINE MAIDEN PROJECT [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Yume [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Vincent, at first glance, looks to be your typical adult. Standing just shy of six feet, he stands with a posture that seems resilient to whatever might be thrown at him. Perhaps the most noticeable difference between him and the common man is his silvery-white hair and blue-orange eyes. If not for that, one might be completely unable to guess that he was a member of the Wolf Hair. Because of his shifting eye-color, it is hard to convince anyone that his eyes even have a specific color to them. Vincent lacks much in the way of scarring, a few acne scars here or there and slight bags under his eyes, but besides that, there is little of note. His build is somewhat slim, disguising the strength of his figure. His expression is usually in some sort of contemplation, even when other expressions are more prominently displayed. His preference for clothes that are easy to move around in manifest themselves quite evidently in his fashion choices and movement styles. This is truly someone who hates to be restricted, but can spend an entire day in one place. His hair seems to shift in length every so often, but it is usually at least at ear level. There are a few times when his hair can reach to his shoulders. One of many reference images [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Renai is a friendly enough individual, if not slightly eccentric. He is naturally guarded and not one to talk, sometimes refusing to do so entirely on some new imaginary basis. He is inquisitive and intelligent, but that doesn't help stifle his tendency to sabotage his own plans and act carelessly. It is precisely because he knows that he can be careless and hostile that he is often very careful with the way he speaks and the way he interacts with other people. More than that, however, Renai doesn't like to be pushed into a corner or restricted. Commitment is a problem for him and he doesn't like to take risky bets without reason. His public face is one that seems eccentric to the point that most people are convinced it his private face. In private, however, Renai is no more than an anxious, self-deprecating coward. He lives by fear and acts on the same basis. Despite all of that, he would much rather be alone than be lonely. It is easier to have never felt warmth, in his opinion, so he incredibly careful about who he really trusts or lets in. As a result, he often lies and will try to get inside people's heads carelessly. His thirst for knowledge will likely never be sated, but as long as he can continue to survive, then that is that. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Once upon a time, Renai was born to an elegant maid and a gardener. The two were separated in this great tale about true love and beauty above all else, but their bosses made life vaguely problematic. Each was some form of live-in help, and as a result, their meetings were few and far between. Through great trials and tribulations in this long winding epic that took approximately 9 years to truly complete and appreciate, they got together. And then Renai was born. So Renai grew up in a household with two people whose professions were basically to clean up after lazy butt-monkeys. What did Renai learn to do? Cook. Clean. Repair. Laundry. In terms of being able to manage a household, any skill that was needed, Renai learned. After all, neither of his parents wanted to do that after they got done with their job of doing just that. In a manner of speaking, Renai became the strange mix between his parents in terms of his job as well. How lovely. Blessed with the ability to work endless hours and study while working, Renai busied himself with learning how to multitask appropriately. When one of his parents' bosses got to be a little too rowdy, he'd show up and amuse them for a bit with some musical performance or science trick. Perhaps because his parents felt that their jobs were lackluster, they enforced the belief that Renai should go become something fancy like a scientist or a politician. As if that would ever happen. Still, he learned what he could and ended up partially home-schooled and partially going to the local school. Zoom forward a few years. Elder Tale! This really old game that Renai's parents convinced him to try on their really old home computer. Wow. So interesting. SO BORING. For Renai, whose interest in computers was limited to minesweeper and being able to create, playing games like Elder Tale was a little uninteresting. Still, it was reputed to have a strong fanbase, so he played every so often. At some point or another, he zoomed forward a few more years in the narrative to end up in college. By that point, he was playing Elder Tale more and more, but found that it wasn't really considered to be popular. Along with all his other interests. In fact, his lack of understanding on how people functioned was basically his reasoning for spending even more time on the game. Not like his massive variety of completely useless interests were ever going to net him any points in the job market or in socializing. Who cared that he knew how to play Cat's Cradle, for example. And then Elder Tale's Catastrophe happened. WOOPS. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] Renai is a weirdo. |

Woodcrafters naturally have an affinity for chopping and carving wood, making their abilities key in harming monsters that happen to be arboreal in nature. Woodcrafters deal 20% more damage to Plant-type monsters. They can also cancel buffs on Plant-type monsters upon a successful hit. [attr="class","skill"]Quick Construction: Tier 1 Woodcrafter Skill In certain situations, the Woodcrafter may require their works to be created not with sturdiness in mind, but with speed. This allows them to create temporary structures such as stairs, walls, and bridges in a fraction of the usual time needed. Of course, these structures are not a long-term solution for an actual craft, as they fall apart very quickly with usage or damage. If left alone, a structure would probably last for an hour but with a couple of uses, the durability would drop to a few minutes. [attr="class","skill"]Busybody: Tier 1 Housekeeper Skill The housekeeper can produce Level 1-5 items as though they were a Chef, Tailor, or Woodcrafter. If the housekeeper's crafting subclass is one of these classes, then they are able to craft items 5 levels higher than their crafting class's level. [attr="class","skill"]Inversion: Tier 1 Enchanter Skill A spell with a quick cast time and low cooldown. It shoots a white beam of light forward at a target. When a target is struck by this ability, they are immediately spun in the opposite direction from which they were facing. It isn't really an ability that possesses any real effect other than temporarily disrupting an opponent's advance (perhaps it might even cause them to trip), but it's at least a spammable annoyance. Inversion does not change a target's trajectory. [attr="class","skill"]Pulse Bullet: Tier 1 Enchanter Skill Possibly the Enchanter's best skill at attempting to fill a DPS role, pulse bullet is a simple light orb projectile that flies off toward an enemy when used. Its damage potential is low, but its near-instant cast time and 3-second cooldown rate is low enough that an Enchanter can actually shoot Pulse Bullets in rapid succession and rack up damage. Admittedly, spamming Pulse Bullets prevents the Enchanter from providing support, and doing so for long enough will eventually start to wear down the Enchanter's MP. [attr="class","skill"]Nightmare Sphere: Tier 1 Enchanter Skill The enchanter summons a violet orb of mana and throws it in a direction. Afterward, the sphere expands to a few meters in radius, where it will greatly slow down the movement speed of all occupants within its boundary. Even gravity seems to slow down, causing all falling objects to act as though they were on the Moon. [attr="class","skill"]Mind Shock: Tier 1 Enchanter Skill A spell that launches a single orb to cause minor damage and disorientation on nearby opponents. While under the effect of this spell, the side-directional movements of an opponent are reversed - attempting to jump to the right causes the body to jump to the left instead. Because of this, targets have their accuracy and evasion partially compromised. Mind Shock's cooldown time is three minutes, making it a usually one-time spell in most battle situations. [attr="class","skill"]Astral Bind: Tier 1 Enchanter Skill Astral Bind is best known for its quick casting speed, causing magical chains to shackle the target's limbs and restrict any movement further than about a meter. Because of this, it's especially effective against DPS melee fighters, but not so much for ranged or magic classes. It wears off after a few seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Astral Hypno: Tier 1 Enchanter Skill Astral Hypno is a spell that induces a sleep debuff on the target, preventing them from making any actions until they are struck or after ten seconds have passed. The higher a target's wisdom stat, the higher their chances of resistance. It has a fairly low cooldown time for its effect, making it a very useful spell to be used for incapacitating an opponent. [attr="class","skill"]Mana Trance: - Tier I Enchanter Skill Using this skill the Enchanter enters a trance which increases MP regeneration. Using any other skill or taking an action such as moving will cancel the skill. Entering the trance state will also cancel the effects of Mana Channeling. [attr="class","skill"]Mana Channeling - Tier I Enchanter Skill The Enchanter takes a few moments to link with targeted party members, connecting their psyche. All party members within this link have their MP distributed evenly. If a party member's MP is restored to full, their connection is severed and remaining MP is redirected to another character. The activation of this skill causes a slight strain upon the body as though part of the body's consciousness is being transferred. [attr="class","skill"]Astral Torment - Tier I Enchanter Skill A skill with a cast time of one second and subsequent cooldown of five seconds. The Enchanter shoots an indigo bolt at a target, causing semi-transparent chains to appear and surround their body like a chain of guilt. Although not movement restrictive like other similar Enchanter abilities, this skill places an oppressive atmosphere upon the target and causes extremely minor damage over time for the next minute. However, this skill can be stacked on a target up to five times, each time multiplying the effect's potency. This skill's effect is considered a Mind debuff, and a five-chain effect is on par with low-rank poison effects. [attr="class","skill"]Paradigm Shift - Tier II Enchanter Skill In the world of Elder Tale, there are a large number of self-casted skills and abilities. Enchanters, being masters of supporting, can manage abilities that would otherwise be exclusive toward individual classes. The Enchanter that uses this skill chooses a caster and a target. The first time this skill is activated in a party, a dialog window will appear to confirm whether both parties agree to this skill effect transfer. This window can be set to automatically accept skill transfer requests during subsequent castings. Provided both parties agree, this skill changes the 'owner' of the skill or buff from the caster to the target. In the simplest case, one could change the owner of the 'Magic Light' skill such that it mimicked the target instead. In a more advanced usage, it is possible to cause the Cleric's Miracle Missile ability to be sourced from another player instead or cause the Swashbuckler's Pocket Aces skill to affect the weapons of a Samurai. The targeted player is considered the new owner, in the case of buffs continually being passed around. Associated costs of upkeeping the swapped skill effect is still dependent upon the original owner. This skill has a casting time of 1 second and a cooldown of 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Equipment Mastery: Ranged Weapons - Tier I Adventurer Skill Passive. An Adventurer skill that provides weapon proficiency of bows, crossbows, and throwing weapons. Normally, classes that are incompatible with certain types of weapons suffer damage and accuracy penalties when using the weapon in question. Possession of an equipment mastery skill negates this penalty for that specified weapon type. Generally, there are reasons behind why certain classes focus on certain weapon types. Taking this skill provides some level of versatility, but be warned that some of your main class skills might prove incompatible with this new fighting style. If the character's class is already able to use one of these weapon types normally, that weapon type does not gain any additional effects through taking this skill. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Baka Badge Outfit [Lvl 10] A soft long-sleeved shirt and pants combo, the pants come with a variety of pockets. The shirt is casual and the pants are comfortable, but this is still a piece of level 10 cloth armor. And it's cloth armor, so what are you even gonna do. Idiot. Decrease in cast time for Quick Construction. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Rampage Death [L20] by 黒: A metal stave of approximately 5 feet that looks more like a polearm than a magician's weapon. The straight metal weapon seems to split like fibers in the middle, twisting around around an imaginary orb and recombining on the other end, almost as if magic lives within that center hollow. Effect: Level 20. Decrease in Quick Construction cast time. [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#1: Leave blank [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#2: Leave blank [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#3: Leave blank [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#4: Leave blank [attr="class","h3"]Inventory [attr="class","b2"] Brown Jacket: Lv5 vanity clothing. A simple jacket of brown construction with a hood. It'll keep you dry when it rains. Slightly Reinforced Wooden Boat: A different approach at making a boat through the combined collaboration of Mechanic Hirosame and Woodcrafter Renai. By overhauling the base design of the Miniature Boat and substituting some of the weaker points with metal screws instead of glue, this creates for a two-person boat which can withstand a little more wear. This item is summoned from the inventory and is automatically returned if it takes any damage or is left alone for a few minutes. Its sturdiness depends on the level of the materials used to make it. Basic Locked Door: Lv10 carpentry. A basic wooden door of solid construction, this Sturdy Locked Door has hinges and a lock. It swings open and closed like a regular door. It is also solid. It prevents people from walking through. This door can be considered a solid object. It of course comes with a key to unlock the door itself. It serves as a method of entering buildings and keeping people out. Fancy doors are fancy. This might be useful for putting in walls? It can basically turn a structure into a room. This item can be summoned from the inventory but will be automatically desummoned if it takes major damage. Its sturdiness depends on the level of the materials used to make it. Generic Sliding Wooden Door: Lv10 carpentry. A sliding door made out of wooden struts in the eastern style. You can put it into a wall and create a sliding door that you can move through. Obviously you cannot walk straight through. It moves side to side. It can slide along a rail. It prevents people without thumbs from opening the door. It serves as a method of splitting off areas inside a building. The wooden struts itself provide structural support. Some generic Japanese-looking wallpaper was used to make this door. This item can be summoned from the inventory but will be automatically desummoned if it takes major damage. Its sturdiness depends on the level of the materials used to make it. Basic Wall: Lv10 carpentry. It's a wall. It can be load-bearing or a partition wall, but it's waterproof and does what walls do. Prevents most people from walking through it. Pretty good for making houses, you'd say. At least, that's what you'd say if you were a Woodcrafter. And didn't have free will. The wall can support doors and windows. Make sure to include a support for this wall or else it's going to become "Basic Floor" instead. This item can be summoned from the inventory but will be automatically desummoned if it takes major damage. Its sturdiness depends on the level of the materials used to make it. Starter Cloth Armor: A basic set of cloth armor made from cheap fabric. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. Sex On The Beach: Lv5 drink. A fruity cocktail mix of melon, peaches, pineapple, oranges and raspberries, chilled with British Snow and garnished with a wedge of pineapple. Unlike the minor healing effect received when drinking this beverage, one is not guaranteed to "get lucky" after being up all night. Basic Woodcrafter Plane - A woodcrafter's Basic Upgrade Tool for cutting and shaping wood. Allows a Woodcrafter to craft Level 11-20 Woodcrafter materials by combining together lower-leveled materials through the Basic Material Upgrading recipe. Benepuppy Whistle - Level 10 musical instrument. A wooden whistle with a mouthpiece that's designed after a popular dog mascot from somewhere. A small and portable instrument. Higurashi [L20] - A simple organ. The wood is polished and the acoustic instrument has a deep, rich sound. Nothing too special about this. Adventurer Enchant Scroll - Rank E enchant. Enchants on any equip. A scroll that can be enchanted onto an existing piece of equipment by using it in the Market Center. The scroll is consumed upon use, adding the suffix enchant "Adventurer" to the equipment's name and applying the following effects: - When over Level 5, increases the user's physical damage by 1 level. - When over Level 5, increases the user's magic damage by 1 level. Starter Staff: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap wood. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. Sarum Map 3 - A torn piece of an old map. It seems to emit a weak magnetic energy due to the presence of mana within the cloth, magnetizing itself to other map fragments. Maybe if you combine fragments 1-3 together, something might happen? Grandier Enchant Scroll - Rank B enchant. Enchants on any weapon. A scroll that can be enchanted onto an existing piece of equipment by using it in the Market Center. The scroll is consumed upon use, adding the suffix enchant "Grandier" to the equipment's name and applying the following effects: - When regaining MP through a healing skill or item effect, heal an additional 20% of the regained amount. - Slow skill potency and duration +20%. Demon Butler's Suit - Lv15 cloth armor. The perfect and untarnished suit of Butler Grandier. It's said that any staining agent that touches its surface is immediately repelled away by a mysterious force. Part of the Demon Butler set. Equip 3 Demon Butler items to passively regain MP equal to 10% of damage dealt to the opponent. Fallen Queen's Crown - Lv15 accessory. A crown that was originally worn by the lords of Windsor. Part of the Fallen Queen set. |
