[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]KAZUKO [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: KAIRA HOLMSTRÖM [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: MALE [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: FEMALE [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 10 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: HETEROSEXUAL (prefers females) [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Lilicia, VENUS BLOOD -ABYSS- [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: RYO [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Kaira’s appearance is more on the gentle soft spoken side. Since her gender is different than it is out of game she hasn’t quite gotten used to walking as a girl yet. Her walking posture can be seen as somewhat meek, preferring to stay out of people’s way, but also a sense of self independence since Kaira is more than able to take care of herself when she has to. However when actively performing duties for the shrine or as a priestess more conscious effort is put into behavior so it begins to show in a much more graceful walk and posture. As an additional appearance feature a small tattoo of mostly complete ring around a circle can be seen just above the left hip. Her height is still rather short, even for a child, standing only 4' 0'', rather small slim build and enjoys wearing her hair down naturally while tieing it back with a ponytail while she’s doing her work. Even though Kaira’s gender is female in the game he doesn’t feel like that’s more true to him since he still views himself as a boy, the choice to play as a female character in a game seemed like it was more fun and it seemed to him other people were generally nicer if they thought the character they talked to was a girl. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Kaira is very soft spoken and quiet young boy. For the most part the boy is very thoughtful and meticulous in how he performs his tasks. This makes him a bit more independent than most kids his age and he tries not to take action with at least some thought or a lot of emotion behind it. He’d much prefer spending his time reading a good book or studying over being around the kids at his school. Still he does enjoy the company of small groups, but he’s generally silent or mostly quiet around new faces until they spend more time with him. These traits sort of carried over into the game but while he’s online Kaira tends to be a bit more outgoing. She’ll still be one of the quiet shy ones in party but she’s a lot quicker to open up to new people. While outside the game he tends to give off more of a serious shy sense where he’ll keep to himself, in the game his personality comes out in his role; standing in the back of the group or up in a tree giving support to those who need it the most at the current time. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Kaira grew up in a sheltered home with his family in Denmark. Being a boy who enjoys learning at a young age he could often be found reading a book or looking at something new and trying to figure out how it works. This made for fun times when he was old enough to go to school and he would eagerly pay attention to every lesson, but doing research on his own as well caused him to get ahead of the class and quickly became bored during lectures. The teachers tried to help this by having him skip a grade when he was eight and his new teacher trying to focus more on the advanced topics for him. It was around this time that Kaira had gotten his own computer at home and found gaming to be a fun pastime when there was nothing to do. He could immerse himself in learning how to play certain ways and have fun interactions with other people, which other than a few classmates at school; he never got a lot of. A couple of these was a free game called League of Legends, which he found was not friendly to new people as a community, the other was relatively new game, Elder Tale, an MMORPG based on the half-gaia project. Playing on the Japanese server Kaira found he loved everything the game had to offer and going to a Shinto Shrine in the game that was run by a player gave the young boy some ideas he could use later when it was announced that the UK was getting their own server in the new expansion he planned to start over in the new region. Making his character he thought long and hard on the customizations. He enjoyed playing support from the back lines, not liking being in the front and in the middle of everything so he went Shaman, this choice was also because shamans could use traditional Japanese equipment which played more to his style. His subclasses were chosen with the thought of making money and opening his own shrine in the UK somewhere. Finally not wanting to play as any of the male races Elder Tale had to offer Kaira decided to play as a female this time since he found that, in general, players were a lot friendlier if they thought someone they were playing with was a girl. Upon contact, the sphere will form a barrier around the target and causes it to float about two meters into the air, suspending the target in mid-air inside the barrier. The barrier is broken as soon as it is struck by any sort of attack, giving it the fan name of "Purgatory Bubble." Of course, once the barrier is broken, the target will fall the full two meters, causing minor fall damage. [attr="class","skill"]Reactive Barrier: Tier I Shaman - Reflects a certain percentage of the attack back at the attacker. The target takes the remainder of the damage. [attr="class","skill"]Prayer of Recovery: Tier I Shaman - A Shaman's unique healing magic skill. Has a low healing rate per cast, but has a short cast time and cooldown. When cast, bright blue magatama jewels surround the target and the sound of small bells can be heard. Is often called "Mini-heal" by many, and can be used as a form of encouragement to others. In the post-Catastrophe world, the sound of bells this skill makes are often interpreted as "greetings or prayers of a Shaman wishing for a safe return". [attr="class","skill"]Damage Barrier: Tier I Shaman - A barrier skill known as the signature move of the Shaman. Forms either a stationary barrier or a barrier around a target that continues to exist until the "energy" of the barrier expires. Energy will decrease slowly over time and decrease from damage taken. [attr="class","skill"]Summon Shikigami: Tier I Shaman - The Shaman calls forth a shikigami, a humanoid familiar spirit, in a solid form. It is usually used in a support role, with tasks ranging from off-tanking to scouts to support DPS. There is a wide range of shikigami that a Shaman can summon, and they last for 5 minutes. In the original game, shikigami were treated as bonus content for players, with little to no practical use. However, after the Catastrophe, shikigami now share the same sensations with their masters, allowing shikigami to serve reconnaissance roles in battle. Of course, there are shikigami that well-loved by many as mascots. This skill has a casting time of 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Shikigami Astral Seal: Tier I Shaman - This skill transforms the physical body of the Shikigami into a ghost-like form, making it intangible to all attacks. Conversely, the Shikigami retains the ability to affect its environment, allowing it to move and control objects like a poltergeist. Many Shamans typically have their Shikigami control objects like weapons in order to make them appear as though they were possessed. Others tend to utilize the summon to grab an enemy's limbs and prevent their movement, but the generally low offensive specs of the Shikigami makes this strategy not quite as effective. The duration of this skill lasts for a full minute, but it will automatically cancel if the Shikigami's duration runs out. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds. There is a 30 second cooldown period after this skill's deactivation before it may be used again. [attr="class","skill"]Carving: Description Toggle skill. Artisans have a certain affinity with carving stone, making their normal artistic talents not to be underestimated in battle. Artisans deal 20% more damage to Rock-type monsters. They can also ignore defense buffs on Rock-type monsters. [attr="class","skill"]Holy Aura: Description A skill that places holy protection upon the target, lasting for an entire hour. Characters affected by Holy Aura recover from curse status effects twice as fast as usual. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Apocrypha Cloth Armor: Armor fitted to the user's body proportions, so that it fits snug on the user, but still have room to move and breathe. The cloth itself is black, with a symbol of the Apocrypha Solstice and Asterial Age emblems on both shoulders. Made simple, so mass production is possible. [attr="class","skill"]Starter Longbow: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap wood. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. Not really strong, but cheap and can be easily mass produced. Lu Bu's Qianlima - A Novel: A grand tale of a legendary horse of ancient China. Reading it gives you a sense of renewal courage. Using this item in the Market Center consumes it and allows you to place 5 AP into any of your classes. This decision is irreversible. Starter Chainmail: A basic set of chainmail armor made from cheap iron. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. Shrine Maiden Outfit: A full outfit containing a white haori shirt and red hakama pants. Traditional attire of choices for shrine maidens in the far east of Japan, wearing these a person may be able to feel some of the same elegance and grace of the maidens. Or maybe they just really like Japan and cute anime girls Regenerating Moon Cake: An odd red box containing a Moon Cake, a sweet pastry consisting of bean paste and egg yolks. Eating this cake slightly restores HP and raises the character's stats by a small amount for the next 10 minutes. Strangely enough, no matter how much cake you eat, another one will appear in the box after a full day. |
