Her eyes are slightly round and are of a green color though looks hazel in the sunlight. She has a hourglass body type and is toned but has a little bit of belly fat since she hasn't been working out as much as she used to. In Game Appearance: She has thick and long, dark green hair, a trait common in the wolf hair race. Avalon has a fair skin complexion and round purple eyes. She made herself an inch shorter than her real life self, 5'5" though now it might have slowed her down a bit now that she's actually in the game but eventually, she would get used to it. For her long hair, she would always tie it up in a high ponytail to avoid possibility of her hair distracting her in various fights and battles. She didn't feel too comfortable changing her body so she just made some minor changes opposed to what her friend suggested. She is slender, toned, and flexible--the perfect body to her for the class she chose, which was assassin. Avalon has dainty looking but callous hands from weaponry practice. She does have a phoenix tattoo on her upper left arm since it symbolizes something.important to her. Besides wearing her armor in combat, she likes to keep up with fashion and wears clothing to help emphasize her figure. Like her real life, she does like off the shoulder and regular crop tops with either skinny jeans, skirts, or short shorts. But right now, she wears the starter leather armor until she earns enough gold to buy better equipment. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Scarlett is friendly, open-minded, and often charming. She uses humor and quick wits to cover up how mad or irritated she really is. She is curious about many things and always is interested on how things work. She is also flirtatious with guys but loses interest quickly if they aren't interesting enough to keep her attention. With her adaptable nature, she is resourceful and tries to find loopholes to meet her means in any way possible. She dislikes having nothing to keep her busy so she finds ways to make herself useful. She may have many friends but actually care for only a select few who she trusts almost completely. The rest is mainly because she doesn't like to be alone. She would be that person who you could always depend on and keep a secret but would be hesitant to throw her life out for a friend. Despite all those, she is also sarcastic and is sometimes insensitive to others' feelings without realizing it until it's too late. She is very blunt and not afraid to tell the truth straight up. Scarlett doesn't trust easily ever since she was in middle school with those women who seemed to be after her father's money. She can also be stingy with her money and is hesitant to lend money to others. She does not forgive and forget easily and can hold a grudge for a long time, sometimes resorting to revenge if the cause really hurt in a deep way. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Scarlett Kennedy was born on January second to Aiden and Natasha (nee. Volkov) Kennedy in the cosmopolitan city of Manchester. Her and her parents weren't actually together and her mother didn't want to take responsibility of her so her father hesitantly took care of her himself. They lived in a small apartment in the surrounded by the many loud night clubs and other such noises of the city life. Unexpectedly, her father grew to care for the daughter he did think he would actually accept with her helpless and adorable looks. He knew he couldn't just leave her in governmental system and not know what kind of family she would end up with. Her father worked a full time job as a construction worker so she would be left at her aunty's house the majority of the time. Scarlett enjoyed her playing with her older and younger cousins who taught her how to become an awesome prankster. She was a very precocious and curious little girl who easily became bored being indoors and caused mischief around the house. To contain that pent up energy, her father eventually signed her up for martial arts, jiu jitsu though she was opposed to it. Surprisingly to her, she loved the lessons and made many friends. Much to her chagrin, her father joined the lessons after seeing how enthusiastic she was about it. When she started primary school, she began to take a lot of responsibilities around the house to help her father relax more often. He wasn't the best cook, usually ordering take out so she took it upon herself to learn how to cook for the both of them. She wasn't the best student but managed to pass her classes; more interested in extracurricular activities and helping her father. Scarlett did make many friends with her outgoing and friendly personality and was someone who gave advice to others. Although she was mostly a happy child, she disliked all the women her father would bring into her house late at night. By this time, her father had become the owner of the construction company and she began to suspect the ladies who came into their house were more interested in his money than himself but she blamed her father at the same time since he never seemed to be really interested in maintaining a steady relationship as he would move onto the next lady after a while. She just wanted a real family where she had parents that loved each other like her classmates' parents looked like. She didn't understand why couldn't she get the family she wanted even though she wished upon a star almost every night so she began to think it was her fault that her father couldn't find the 'one.' Continuing in her teenage years, she began to become more rebellious and stay out late at night, not caring about school much or how worried her father would be at night. Since her father most of time came home late, she would easily sneak out with her fake id and go clubbing with her friends and party hard. Sometimes she would come to school with a hangover or just pretend she was sick occasionally when she was lazy. Although she would also smoke weed with her friends, she actually was one of the smart students except for anything to do with numbers especially calculus that she thought about getting tutoring for that mathematical difficulties. She did date more than a few guys though was more physical than anything else but eventually would break up with them when she lost interest in them after a while. There were just a few instances when the guy broke up with her, which she disliked since she felt she was supposed to do it first. Unfortunately, her partying days were cut down in high school as the police caught her with the fake id and she was sent to the police station where she had a horrible experience being there. Nothing really bad but she didn't want to be caught dead surrounded by suspicious and crazy looking people again. Because of that ordeal, her father took it upon himself to be there for her and discipline her more often. He stopped bringing home women to the house as much as he used to and was at home to attempt to bond with her, which she resented since it had been a long time since he took the effort to spend time with her. He put her on house arrest and made her come straight home after all school activities were over and done with. Despite her dislike of staying at home more often, her grades became better as her father was very talented in mathematics and tutored her when he came home at night. She had grudgingly accepted since she needed to pass her classes to graduate from high school. Her cousins would come to her house and introduce her to a variety of video games since they knew how miserable she was being cooped up inside the house. Scarlett hesitantly began playing those video games even though she wasn't really good at it and had a hard time keeping up with the other players online but it was addicting. She loved it. One day, her cousins came over to introduce her to a new game, Elder Tale and she let them pick out her character since she felt they knew best but they teasingly chose a class she rather not have. She wasn't the type to sneak around but eventually got used to it and a few days later when she logged in, she was transported into the world of the newly updated Elder Tale. The repeated usage allows the Assassin to descend deeper into this state and increase their attack speed even further. While originally designed for melee attacks, as it is more of a state of mind, the technique can be applied to ranged attacks as well. [attr="class","skill"]Rapid Shot: Tier I Skill: Physical Ranged Attack. While Assassins normally favor the blade, some prefer striking from afar, staying unseen even as their victims breathe their last breaths. As the Assassin is somewhat limited by the strength of their bows, unable to apply their full strength at time, Rapid Shot was designed to increase the number of arrows an Assassin can fire. In the time that it takes for most of fire one arrow, an Assassin can fire two with his technique. Accuracy is slightly reduced however, as the Assassin cannot take the time to focus their aim with this technique. [attr="class","skill"]Quickdraw: Tier I Skill: A skill focused on delivering a quick strike at the opponent. By gripping the weapon tightly and locking one's gaze toward a nearby foe, the player's body will quickly dash over to the target and perform an attack. Alternately used by ranged users to fire projectiles at a faster than usual pace. This sudden movement takes many unprepared opponents by surprise. [attr="class","skill"]Death Stinger: Tier I Skill: Self Buff. Poison, a classic tool of assassins but honor less by nature. By coating their weapons in these foul concoctions, the attacks of an Assassin have a chance to poison their enemies, slowly chipping away at their health overtime. Users of this technique must be wary though, as anyone struck by the blade can be poisoned, even the users themselves. [attr="class","skill"]Hiding Entry: Tier I Skill: Self Buff. One of the basic stealth magics of the Assassin. A signature move of the Assassins, known for being able to hide in plain sight, that allows them to bend light around them and become invisible to the naked eye for an extended period of time, up to ten minutes. Offensive actions, stabbing a target for instance, immediately break the magic used to hide the Assassin. The spell itself can be a bit taxing to the Assassin and can only be used sparingly. [attr="class","skill"]Tongue of Nature: Tier I Skill: It's often said that certain people seem to have an affinity toward interacting with nature and communicating with animals. With this skill, the Adventurer's natural affinity is idealized into a tangible form. While this toggle skill is active, the character will be able to communicate with animals and monsters. Incoming speech by monsters will appear as subtitles at the bottom of the user's vision. There is a huge variance between being able to notice this effect and actually using it effectively, however. "Nice to meet you" is not the same thing as "Look, fresh meat", for example. At lower levels, the user of this skill will very often mishear monsters' speech and mispronounce their own words, mistakes that might cause hostility if used incorrectly. However, as the user gradually gains experience, they will be able to negotiate with monsters more easily. The Animal Trainer, Fisherman, Druid classes are more aligned with the power of nature and thus higher success rates are gained if the user is one or more of these classes. Monsters at a lower level compared to the user's highest class level also are easier to communicate with. [attr="class","skill"]Arrow Revolver: Tier I Skill: A technique developed by a legendary marksman, this bow skill allows an archer to reserve up to five arrows to be fired. The arrows in reserve are levitated in the air beside the bow using the power of mana. Whenever the user should then fire an arrow, the next one will quickly load itself into the slot of the bow, allowing for optimized rapid fire. Arrow Revolver may also be used with a firearms weapon, causing a single round to load itself into the chamber after each shot. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Hearing Aptitude: Tier I Skill: A toggle skill that improves the character's hearing perception. Whispers can be heard from about 2 meters away, conversations can be heard up to 10 meters away, and the hearing range of the most distant sounds are doubled. It is a very effective skill for the sake of gathering intel and eavesdropping. [attr="class","skill"]Trinket Work: Tier I Skill: A skill focused on decreasing the player's aggro presence. By crouching down and holding the stance for a few moments, the player will release a visible purple aura from their body for ten seconds. For the duration of the aura, the player will be able to attack a monster while keeping the monster's aggro level upon the player low. This skill is effective in a party for when one wishes to perform attacks without attracting the attention of the enemy. This skill has an duration of 30 seconds at base level. Its duration increases to 40 seconds when the Assassin reaches Level 30, 50 seconds when the Assassin reaches Level 60, and finally 60 seconds when the Assassin reaches Level 90. Its casting time is 2 seconds and its cooldown is 60 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Shadow Bind: Tier I Skill: Debuff. A magical technique created by Assassins, with a thematic effect quite fitting for those who love to strike from the shadows and call the darkness their home, yet poetically useless in full darkness itself as Shadows cannot exist without light. By striking the target’s shadow, the Assassin is able to create shadowy, almost invisible, tendrils from the victim’s own shadow that binds them completely. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds and a cooldown of 45 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Assassinate: Tier II Skill: Quite possibly one of the Assassins' most well-known skills, Assassinate is a single hit technique that can be initiated as either a melee or ranged attack. However, in order for it to deal its famous damage potential, the skill must be used as a back attack, usually a strike done while the monster's attention is elsewhere. At the moment the skill is successfully used, a large red splashing animation reminiscent of blood is emitted from the target struck by the attack. Targets with a level below that of the Assassin take heavy damage; non-boss monsters that are over 10 levels below the Assassin's level may even be killed in a single hit. Understandably, enemies at a higher level than the Assassin will take lesser albeit still considerably high damage. This skill has an animation time of 1 second and a cooldown of 60 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Stealth Strike: Tier II Skill: A skill that cloaks the user in a pale blue aura, making their figure slightly less opaque. This skill has a duration of five seconds and is automatically canceled upon a direct hit with the opponent. While Stealth Strike is active, the Assassin's next melee or ranged attack deals damage as though the target's Physical resistance was reduced by one stage (Physical neutral becomes physical weak, physical resistant becomes physical neutral, etc). The 5 second cooldown of this skill makes it so that an Assassin can activate the skill after almost every other attack, although the 1 second skill animation lapse might add up over time when it comes to DPS purposes. [attr="class","skill"]Hazecloud Vault: Tier II Skill: This skill generates a cloud of smoke that immediately covers the Assassin and shrouds the nearby 2 meters. This effect has immediate benefits by lowering the accuracy of all attacks that should target the Assassin while they are within this smoke. The smokescreen lasts for roughly 10 seconds and will not dissipate unless blown away by a wind-elemental attack. In addition to this defensive bonus, the Assassin's jumping ability is tripled for the next 5 seconds, allowing them to chain directly into an offensive strike or a defensive retreat. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown time of 30 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Missile Strike: Tier II Skill: A skill that can only be used with an equipped physical ranged weapon such as a bow, firearm, or throwing weapon. The user takes a moment to whisper a spell onto the weapon, enchanting it for the next shot. When that weapon is used to deliver a ranged attack, the number of projectiles fired is multiplied several times fold so that a literal rain of projectiles will strike the target. Missile Swarm is thus very effective either for hitting a bunch of targets packed close together or poking a poor enemy full of holes. After the duplicated projectiles make contact with anything, they will disappear back into the mana that formed them. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds and a cooldown of 15 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Ambidexterity: The mechanics of Elder Tale lightly discourage dual-wielding due to the reduced accuracy and proficiency with such a combat style. However, it remains a quite popular strategy among those who willingly sacrifice stability and defense for a little boost in DPS. It is such that Swashbucklers are primarily the class type that specializes in dual-wielding and thus has the most compatible skills for this purpose. The Ambidexterity skill passively lifts the dual-wielding penalty from equipping two one-handed weapons or two shields. This skill does nothing for a Swashbuckler, since they already possess a beginner skill which does the same purpose. [attr="class","skill"]Deadly Dance: Physical Melee Attack. A skill that uses the Assassin’s angular momentum in order to increase the damage of their attack. The Assassin jumps and spins in the air while gripping their weapon, then lands onto the opponent and delivers a downward slash. The key of Deadly Dance is to accumulate angular momentum, so users might find it advantageous to use the skill multiple times in succession. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Quick Swap: A skill that facilitates the quick switching of equipment from the user's equipment to their inventory. While many characters use quick slots in order to swap out their weapons, this requires a manual action. The use of Quick Swap does this exchange automatically. This switching can only be done with two equipment sets at a time, both of which are registered prior to the start of battle. When Quick Swap is used, the current equipment set will be swapped out to the other set designated by the skill. Due to the nature of this skill, it is best used by characters of the Weapon Specialist classes. This skill has an animation time of 1 second. Its cooldown if used by a Weapon Specialist class is 30 seconds which increases to 60 seconds if used by any other class. [attr="class","skill"]Substitution Arts: The Assassin places their hands together as though making a hand seal from a popular ninja anime that was airing throughout the course of Elder Tale's PC days. At the same time as the gesture is performed, they will look in a particular direction. Immediately after the hand gesture is made, the Assassin's current position will emit a small burst of white smoke. If the Assassin's position should then be attacked by anything within the next 2 seconds, a wooden log dummy will be struck by the attack instead. Meanwhile, the Assassin's body is teleported 3 meters in the direction they were looking at. Beginner users of this skill should be mindful of their surroundings, however. Many have tried this skill to teleport onto a tree, only to find themselves teleported onto a flimsy branch and subsequently falling like a fool. This skill's casting time is 1 seconds and its cooldown time is 15 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Dimensional Shot: An Assassin's skill that expends mana to allow an projectile or a ranged skill fired from the Assassin to be fired from a different direction. Upon casting this skill, the Assassin designates one point within 2 meters of where they are standing. Should the Assassin fire a projectile or use a ranged skill within the next 10 seconds, the projectile(s) will disappear immediately from the Assassin's position, reappear at the targeted location's position, and continue within its normal trajectory. This skill allows an Assassin to perform a number of intricate trick shots depending on the situation and it can even be used to pin the blame of an attack on another nearby archer. The targetable range of this skill increases by 2 meters for every 30 Assassin levels. This skill has a casting time of 2.5 seconds and a cooldown of 15 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Scout: The Animal Trainer attempts to recruit a monster to their cause in order to create a temporary partner. This is often done by approaching the monster without startling or aggravating it. If performed successfully, a tamed monster will fight by the Trainer's side for a few minutes before control is lost and the monster returns to the environment. Certain situations might make this duration last longer or shorter; acts of kindness toward the tamed monster will make it stick around for longer, while excessive demand will make the Trainer quickly lose favor with the monster. Only one monster can be tamed at a time at the early levels. [attr="class","skill"] [attr="class","skill"]Carving [Artisan Sub Class]: Toggle skill. Artisans have a certain affinity with carving stone, making their normal artistic talents not to be underestimated in battle. Artisans deal 20% more damage to Rock-type monsters. [attr="class","skill"] [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor:Ouroboros Armor, Level 30 Leather Equipment Reforge - [Movement Speed Increase] The Ouroboros is a Greek word meaning 'tail devourer,' and is one of the oldest mystical symbols in the world. It can be perceived as enveloping itself, where the past (the tail) appears to disappear but really moves into an inner domain or reality, vanishing from view but still existing. The devouring of the serpentine's own tail symbolizes the cyclic Nature of the Universe: creation out of destruction, Life out of Death. The ouroboros eats its own tail to sustain its life, in an eternal cycle of renewal. Even the sneaky female assassin needs to be well-protected from harm, this high-grade leather armor is meant for agility and mobility, plus--it has killer style to boot. This sleek armor consists of an eerie black coloring and gold accents to compliment the feminine side and shadowy assassin of the night. The whole armor set consists of an intricate designing of hand-crafted small serpentine scales that gives an impressive look in the light during non-combat. In the back of the armor are four leather straps to securely fit it in place for the user. The leather armor comes with a hood, handy to keep her identity hidden from view. It stretches up to her neck like a turtle neck top, which leads to a pair of durable pauldrons contouring her shoulders that stops a few inches above her elbow. The whole top spreads outward at the end at her thigh for added protection for her bottom half. This serpentine scaled armor is also adorned with light-weight black leather bracers, perfect to keep the archer's arm comfortable during combat or just for the overall protection. For flair, it recreates the look of several jagged dragon scales with subtle champagne accents pointed upward and is securely fitted by leather laces and several d-rings. It also includes slim fitting black leather greaves that are great to keep her legs well-protected and mobile as this is very important. It is made from high-grade leather and is made with a stitched up pattern down the front and flanked with twinned leather plates. The pair is securely fit through several buckled straps. A pair of black sabatons are attached to the greaves through hidden rivets. Losing your train of thought, your focus, or your surroundings can be fatal. Paired with fatigue, it is very easy for a person to break down in the midst of a battle. Because of this, many people think that fighting on the frontlines is the most difficult part of the battle; being the soldier. However, those who have been on the front also know that it is just as difficult supporting the brave souls who march ahead. Rangers and men who hunt from a distance as put under just as much stress because they have been trusted with the backs of the soldiers. Should they fail or miss their target; men will die. However, many Rangers hunted not for militaries but for themselves. These Rangers used smaller bows which would generate a large punch in a shorter distance. Beautiful and deadly, this bow is made in the traditional recurve design; it has been made for hunting. Whether the prey is man or beast, this weapon was crafted to ensure the user’s victory. With its familiar, elongated ‘W’ shape and the flattened ends; this Recurve bow has been prepped to be used for many years to come. To increase its power and longevity, the bow has been made from a strong, but light, metal. It’s curves have been stretched slightly, allowing it to still bend. The drawstring is comprised of three silk wires coiled together tightly, allowing for flexibility and strength. Etched along the body, a Celtic tribal design stretches from one end of the bow to the other. At its core, where the user grasps, the Funeral Parlor emblem is nestled into the middle of the design. [Reforge: Ranged Damage Increase] [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#1: Cloud Star Vest, Level 15, Cloth Equipment Reforge - [Cool Down] [Death Stinger] Reforge There is a great deal to fight and not all of it is down to offence. No, quite a lot of it is down to how well prepared one is for the heat of battle and how well they understand their strengths and weaknesses. This item treasured by Assassin class is made of pure onyx leather made from the scales of a beast that light dares not touch. Reinforced and sewn together with durable enchanted silver thread to bind the gloves together, when worn the fingers are displayed to enable the enchant to take effect. On the top of the onyx leather, more silver thread is woven through out the piece to create the image of a cobra. On the underside just inside the item is the Vanities United 2 Emblem sewn with the same silver thread. Floral Houmongi Kimono Set: Level: 15 Description: This vanity clothing of beautiful houmongi silk kimono displays a vibrant design of dyed sakura and peony flowers running continuously as if it were flowing with the swift winds. It looks almost like a piece of artwork than just someone's clothing. The background of the kimono is dyed an elegant lavender coloring and contains long sleeves that appears to flow with the wind. A light pink obi belt with a star design is tied securely into an elegant bow. It comes with a pair of naturally colored geta sandals. Nightbane--Level 40 -- Being deadly, efficient, and quick on one’s feet is a difficult balance to master. It’s tough being able to knock out an opponent in one strike, break through an impenetrable wall without being seen, or simply overpower a strong foe in general. Having the right tools helps, but having the skill to use one’s tools is even better. A smart fighter has weapons which can be used in multiple situations and be effective in every one of them. These weapons are one’s arsenal. They will decide whether you live or die. This weapon is one which combines many ideals into one, but all of them have their place in a fight. The knife is created on the basis of a simple fighter knife; a short handle with a long, extremely sharp blade with a bevel to aid in its piercing factor. However, in this design the blade is slightly longer and its bevel gives the blade a slight curve, making it more deadly with used for slicing and slashing. Though, there is a bevel on both the bottom and the top, making the point of the knife extremely easy to use when stabbing or poking ones opponent. Its handle is curved, grooved, and made out of very soft but strong material. This allows for the user’s hand to wrap nicely around it. At the absolute base, there is a small ring, allowing for the user to easily twirl the knife around in their hands with a simple flick. Within this ring, the Funeral Parlor emblem has been etched into the metal. To increase its intimidation factor and give it a powerful look, the blade has been bathed in a matte black finish. Contracts are signed, but the words are bathed in blood. War is declared on paper, but fought in the fields. It is ended in council rooms, but after graves have been dug. Vows of peace, allies built on treaties; they are pitiful. True peace is won through dominance and an iron fist. Elimination of all foes is a true empire, not one made of friends. Kill all who stand in the way, and eradicate the pen’s only strength; the end of conflict. This blade is the hidden strength of blood lust. It can be easily concealed but has the sharpness which can break a nation with one, single, well-placed strike. It is short and thin, but has the cutting power of a katana. Along its length are several small notches, giving the weapon’s strikes a tearing effect whenever the blade is pulled free. Its tip of the blade is pointed, the back is flat, and the bottom has a gentle curve like that of a beautiful woman’s waist. The handle is stiff but is made to give a little, allowing for comfort when it is held. The entire weapon, including its small scabbard, has been bathed in a flat black finish. This coating makes the weapon hard to see often until it is too late. At the base of the pommel, on the flat bottom, the Funeral Parlor emblem has been engraved. [Reforge: Elemental Damage [Fire]] Ice Cream Cake: Level 30 Rien’s Ice Cream Cake. A circular cake consisting of a layer of pound cake, a layer of vanilla ice cream, topped with vanilla frosting. If eaten by an Adventurer, it provides the same bonuses as a Sweet Confection. If eaten by a monster or animal, it makes the monster's nature friendlier (Docile and Curious become Friendly, Cowardly and Wary become Docile, Predatory and Aggressive become Wary). AA Effect: Increased Accuracy for 10 seconds Starter Leather Armor: A basic set of soft leather armor made from cheap leather. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. Requiem -- Level 55 -- This knife is inspired by an eastern design of the ancient warriors known for their brutality in warfare, no hesitation to execute their enemies. For maximizing the weapon's force and impact when swinging, it's weight is concentrated in the upper region of the blade. As it's other main purpose in stabbing and piercing the enemy using upward movement, it's curve has been made sharp and carefully forged pointed directly toward it's very tip. The whole blade is coated with a black finish to decrease visibility and maintain it's purpose of stealth in the darkness. Emphasis on the grip of the weapon is made apparent with it's palm friendly counters and swells that conveniently melts in one's grasp in an easy holding position. A divider is located at the top of the handle that keep one's hand safe and secure as it restricts the hand in just the handle section of the weapon so that self injury is easily avoided. A lanyard hole attachment on the bottom of the tang prevents it from falling away from the user. Just above the lanyard attachment, the Funeral Parlor emblem has been burned into the handle.
