There was enough of them around that they actually put out a job for them to be taken care of, yes the Pitted Boars seemed to have been becoming a problem seeing that they were crowding this particular area of the games virtual fields. Standing at the top of a hill under the shade of a tree his crimson eyes would stare out at the distant groups of boars that were clustered up into small pockets. The fox tails ears would twitch at the sound of the surrounding wilderness especially the sound of the boars they were so close to him just below the hill at its base, so it was difficult for him not to hear them out. He would soon need to begin his hunt, cutting down their numbers to size, and such; what he did not know however was that he would be running into another samurai today. Yes, even in this virtual world life had a weird way of making people cross their paths, so without even considering the thought of meeting a new face that could become a possible ally he would prepare to complete his mission.
Grabbing hold of his swords scabbard he would push the katana's divider with the thumb of his left hand loosening it from the scabbard with that his right hand grabbed hold of the swords hilt with a single smooth motion he drew the sword from the sheath. The sharpened edge of the blade giving off a quick flash of light a result of it reflecting the light from the virtual sun high above, he would look directly down at the boars ready to engage them. Wasting no time he would raise his katana overhead activating Kabutowari, the skill would immediately allow him to dash down towards the nearest boar once he entered striking range he would swing the sword downward. The vertical motion of his swing would bring the sword down to the boars head slamming it directly onto its head, seeing as the boar was at full health it would deal extra damage on contact.
The squeal of the boar would ring into his ears, but also alarm its nearby brethren wasting no time Bunji would swing his katana upwards landing a second strike on the boar causing it to burst into data particles. Yet, this now left him to deal with three other boars that were already aggro towards him for his sudden hostile actions, recovering from his attack stance he would step back holding the katana firmly as he waited for the boars to make their move.

Caerbannog had spent a few hours of her time listening to some landers’ stories. All she ever did was smile and wave at them, or gesture to ask for directions, but they somehow took that as a cue to reveal the story of their lives. Soon the girl became exasperated, and just decided to eliminate the creatures that the landers kept whining about. With this in mind, she trudged over to the Greatwood. A few moments later though, she became unsure of her purpose, not wanting to harm the creatures that seemed so real.
- But if I don’t, I’ll never level up! – she thought and with that in mind, the samurai went further into the woods.
Along the way she picked up some wild carrots, things that she could use for cooking. If there were carrots, or any edible vegetation really, there surely would be-
- Rabbits! – the girl almost shrieked.
Frenmic Rabbits looked just like the fluffy creatures that she liked in the real world, but keeping in mind that she was in Elder Tale and that all creatures were technically ‘monsters’, the girl did not hastily approach them. Instead, she took out a carrot, stooped down a little and waved it towards a nearby rabbit. Most of them ran away but a smaller creature which seemed to have no luck in taking food from its competitors cautiously approached Caerbannog. The girl put the carrot on the ground while wondering if that was how her Animal Trainer skill ‘Scout’ worked.
Regardless, Caerbannog went on her way as soon as she heard the squeals of boars nearby. What could be making them cause such a commotion? The samurai noticed some movement behind her as she walked on, and noted that the rabbit was following her, albeit from a distance. She took out another carrot and put it on the ground, which the creature promptly dashed to and ran off with. The girl sighed; was that failed Scouting? No use crying over spilled milk, she thought.
After a few more steps, a hill came within view. Boars seemed to be gathering around it for some reason, so Caerbannog moved behind nearby trees to avoid attracting their attention for the time being. Further behind her and unnoticed by the samurai, the rabbit watched in horror as the larger creatures ran around the hill. But so far the bipedal creature with long black fur on its head provided two delicious carrots, and the rabbit wanted more of it. It inched slowly towards Caerbannog, just as the girl peered beyond the trees.
To the samurai’s surprise, the boars were not just randomly frolicking. They were actually engaged against a fluffy redhaired creature of cuteness- oh, it was a fox tail player. Though her mind almost went off on a tangent, the situation before her put Caerbannog’s head back to that reality. She readied her nodachi, a most humongous sword which she hoped to replace soon, and prepared to use Denkosekka. While she was preparing herself to use an ace move, the girl bent over and picked up a rock which she promptly threw at the boars closest to the fox tail player. The rabbit would have gasped at this boldness, if only it could; but for the time being, it just waited and watched as the boars turned towards the carrot-carrying player.

The boars were closing in, all of them inching towards him almost as if their instincts prevented them from fully rushing into the deadly range of the weapon held by the red tailed fox that stood in front of them, was the game really that detailed though? He didn't know all he knew was that he needed to wait for these boars to attack by analyzing their formation he would be able to better brea--- before the thought even completed itself he noticed a few of the boars mainly the ones to his right hand side wander off to some nearby bushes. Where they giving up? Wait, if that were so then how come only tho-- Ye again no time to complete his thought, one of the boars was already moving in seemingly taking advantage of the distracted samurai, but lucky for Bunji he was able to catch the movement with the corner of his eye quickly pushing off the ground using his feet he dashed to the far left avoiding then charging boar.
As soon as his feet landed on solid ground from his quick movement he would find himself facing down the other three boars all whom had decided to charge him head on, normally one would think to dodge it was natural instinct to get out of the way of something dangerous; but Bunji knew that trying that would actually put him at risk of getting hit if he didn't move fast enough. Instead of dodging he attacked aiming to the middle boar, bringing his sword back he stepped into the slash, and brought the sword up overhead just as the boar had entered his attack range the other two boars on either side dashed away to get out of the attacks range. His bluff had worked scaring the other boars off he managed to strike down on the middle boar his sword sinking into its head causing it to squeal in pain, as if hitting rubber he bounced the sword off the boar then brought it down again for a second slash that was followed up by a swift horizontal slash.
All these movements were performed with speed, and precision keeping the pressure on the enemy he prevented it from taking any time to recover in any way that it could move out of his range. With those three combined strikes the boar would burst into data crystals that would shine brightly for a moment before fading as they rained down around Bunji, not able to relax from his stance he would instead bring himself to a ready stance a more traditional look to this stance. Speed spread far apart for a balanced base, and his katana held with two hands in front of him despite his wild one handed style that he normally used. The remaining boars were once again inching closer this time more spread apart so perhaps easier to manage, who knew. As for the boars that wandered off well he didn't know what that was about, but right now he had to focus on the three little piggies that wanted to smash him to bits. WC: 523

Keeping in mind Stryke’s warning that the game was now very real, Caerbannog steeled herself for incoming attacks. Out of the boars that turned towards her, two had the guts to actually charge at the player while the others sized her up. The samurai drew her sword and held it tightly with two hands in a slightly awkward manner, what with the weapon’s size. Equipped with, at the moment, nothing but starter gear, Caerbannog looked like a very small person if compared to her nodachi.
Regardless, she readied her ace move Denkosekka and prepared herself for her first fight in Elder Tale. Willing her body to activate the skill which came, so to speak, ‘pre-programmed’, the girl was soon covered by an aura which might be able to deflect a weaker attack. In addition to that, she felt light on her feet and as such, when the boars charged, Caerbannog met them midway with her own forward dash and a thrust between her targets. Expectedly, the boars moved to their sides away from one another; the samurai flicked her right wrist to turn her sword while her left hand served to keep the weapon balanced.
Before the boar to her left was completely out of reach, Caerbannog managed to slash towards it from the earlier thrusting form of her weapon. Its blade caught the side of the creature’s face, which caused it to squeal loudly. The weight of her sword caused Caerbannog to fall out of balance, and she had to catch herself by putting one hand on the ground. With that opportunity, the boar to her right charged in quickly; there was not much time for anything else, so the samurai buried her nodachi on the ground and slash it towards the charging boar. Her purpose was not to hit the creature, but to send loose soil flying to its face so that hopefully, it would change its direction.
The loosened earth flew at the boar’s head and hit it squarely, but the boar did not change its direction. It merely slowed down and stepped a little to its side farther away from the samurai, and the girl expected as much. With the momentum of her slash, she was able to stand up again and she gained solid footing, with two hands on her weapon again. The boar was still confused so the samurai took that opportunity to charge at its side. Her nodachi dug deep into the creature causing it to let out a pained shriek, then it fell over to its side. But before she could deliver the finishing blow, the creature which she slashed on the face moved in. Caerbannog put her sword up in front of her body to defend against the attack, and she had her left hand up against the blunt side of the blade.
Since the boar charged head-on to the nodachi’s blade, it gained significant damage. Now sure that Caerbannog was also a threat to their group, two more boars strayed away from the foxtail player’s side and decided to attack the black-haired samurai instead. One of those boars was in Caerbannog’s line of sight, but the other had circled around while she was distracted. From between the shadows of the trees, the little frenmic rabbit was debating whether to warn the carrot-carrying biped or not.

With a mighty huff from their flaring nostrils the two boars that remained moved forward towards him leaving the third on behind to linger, it seemed they were getting a bit confident the male would prepare to react as soon as they entered his striking distance. The first to enter his strike zone was the one to the left one, Bunji would take three steps back avoiding the boar as it ran past him while it recovered from its run he would take advantage to charge at the other boar. Swinging his katana upwards he would strike the charging boar interrupting its movement, ignoring the squeal that forced his fox ears to twitch yet stepping in he would spin around with a vicious horizontal slash that was coupled with a follow up that came right back around. Wasting no time the Fox tail had to react to the surrounding forces, the one in particular being the charging boar that was making its way towards him just as its companion burst into data crystal. Running through the crystal wall he would split the glowing shards apart with his body as he aimed to meet the boar head on, like a true warrior he charged head first into battle when he felt confident.
Yet, he would actually lean sharply to the right avoiding the boar again this time going for its counterpart raising his hand a faint glow would gather at the palm a thin layer of energy that would then be fired off at the pig the invisible beam would smash into the boars face causing it to stumble back, and shake its head. It seemed to have lost interest in being aggro towards the player, taking advantage of Holy Banishment's affect he would rush in closer and lashed out when his opportunity was there. Another clean slash met its mark, followed by two more quick ones he would watch as the third boar burst into data crystals after its HP bar hit the zero mark, "Hah! Another one bites the du--" before he could complete that he would find himself stumbling forward from the blunt impact that slammed into his bare back. Using the blade of his katana as a means to hold his weight up preventing him from falling face first.
Turning with a quick step he was now facing the thing responsible for his stumble, looking as his HP dropped a bit the male fox tail would smirk his ears folding back, and his tail swaying side to side with a slow motion to it. He was getting into the fight, despite the narrow mind of these beasts if you got careless they could be quite troublesome to deal with especially in large packs, a smirk on his features would reveal a pair of sharp canine like teeth. A high-pitched shriek made Caerbannog turn to look behind her, and just in time too for a boar charged in from her blind spot. She turned quickly to her right, managing just barely to maintain her footing. The samurai looked at the source of the warning which sounded nothing like a boar. Behind some bushes, she noticed a trembling rabbit, the very same one that she tried ‘scouting’ earlier.
Two injured boars staggered with barely any HP left. They dragged themselves over to the side, behind one of the boars which turned to the girl. As for the most aggressive one which tried to blindside Kyuu, it then turned to the frenmic rabbit, eyes set on the smaller creature. Confused and unsure of what to do, the rabbit stood there frozen, awaiting its impending doom. The samurai dashed towards the attacking boar. She sheathed her nodachi so that she wouldn’t accidentally cut down the rabbit which she’d been trying to tame. With Denkosekka still active but waning, the girl then slammed her side against the boar which sent it reeling away.
The rabbit then snapped out of its confused state. Caerbannog held out her hand and the small creature scurried onto it, up her arm and on her head. It latched itself securely onto her forehead, with its hindlegs digging into the girl’s hair. The frenmic rabbit’s claws hurt her a bit, but it wasn’t enough to cut her yet. She could feel the creature trembling upon her crown, and though the rabbit was just one of many creatures in Elder Tale that might die sooner than they should, Kyuu felt some pity for it.
“ Hold on, “ she said, more willing to speak to a speechless creature than to fellow players, “ Watch my back. “
It could not respond, but the rabbit understood what was going on nonetheless. They were surrounded by boars: two injured, one in good condition, one in slightly good condition- and very pissed off. The rabbit was just a rabbit; it did not have any weapons, so it would have to rely on the black-haired biped with the long pointy stick. If the rabbit helped to keep the biped alive, perhaps by warning it of incoming attacks, maybe it would get a carrot or two after the boars were disposed of.

With another side step he avoided the last boar as it ran by he swung his katana down towards it hitting its back, the attack came down with such speed that the force behind it forced the boar down onto its stomach leaving it open for the following vertical upper slash that would deplete the rest of its HP to zero causing the boar to burst into data shards. Watching as he rain of shards faded away he would raise his katana up to his shoulder where he relaxed it by the blunt end, it was then that his ears wiggled as they caught some nearby sounds. Looking up in the direction of the sound he found himself staring at the forest, curiosity would get the best of him overpowering his common sense which was telling him to leave either way the Fox Tail ignored reason, and approached the forest with some caution in his step. Once he was close he would use a nearby bush to hide him, so he could peek from between the gaps his eyes focused on the scene unfolding in font of him, it was here that he was able to put two, and two together. The reason the boars had walked away form him was because this girl had distracted them? He would eye the girl with his crimson orbs, taking in the details of her body, especially her weapon....
'Another samurai?' he thought to himself instantly recognizing the long katana like blade she held, taking notice of the rabbit on her head he would raise a brow he was not very experienced with the game but judging from the friendly rabbit maybe she was a beast tamer? Either way he would make a quick decision, wasting no time the fox tail emerge from the bushes which he hid behind revealing himself to the fellow samurai girl landing with a quick stomp he would look up, just as the boars turned to face him looking at the girl he simply gave her a nod of the head. With that he dashed into the fray figuring he would help the girl out seeing as she had done the same for him, raising his katana overhead he would activate his skill Kabutowari. Thanks to that he was able to make his way towards the nearest boar quickly swinging his katana downward with a vertical slash aimed for its head, the attack would land clean hitting its mark the attack had enough attack power behind it to wipe the boar out. Once it was done he would stand upright looking over at the girl just as the two boars were charging right at her, aiming to smash into her body head first!
Bunji had jumped in to help because he felt he owed her one, maybe after this he could get to know her a little better besides having friends in this world was never a bad thing, that and well he had made a deal with Ark a few days ago that he would start a guild so he needed to start scouting some potential members. Watching from afar he wondered how the girl would take on the two boars, maybe a simple showcase of her skills so that he could see if she worked as a potential candidate for the guild he planned to put together. The frenmic rabbit’s ears perked up at the sound of movement from behind some bushes. The creature made no sound to alert the animal trainer; instead it twitched its hind leg which made the girl look around. She noticed the foxtail player from earlier, and to her surprise he stepped in to help. After determining that the other biped posed no threat, the rabbit calmed down and just hung on tightly to Caerbannog’s head.
The foxtail guy disposed of a boar, but that did not deter the other creatures from continuing to fight. With two targets aiming her way, Caerbannog used Denkosekka again for its speed boost. No definite way out between two boars which would just go after her if she dodged, the samurai dashed towards the mob to her left. A quick swerve to her farther left put her on a position that was a little to the creature’s right side, and at that, the girl drew her nodachi, hitting the oncoming boar right on the face. The solid structure of the beginner weapon was enough to leave a dent on the target’s HP; any stronger and its neck would have been broken. The boar fell over to its side but its companion kept charging in from the other direction.
Her sword unsheathed, Caerbannog grasped the tsuka with two hands and assumed a seemingly defensive position. She crouched low enough to point the blade towards the opponent; her feet planted firmly on the ground. When the charging boar was within reach of her weapon, Kyuu feinted with a short forward thrust that made the target lose its momentum as it tried to dodge. The boar stepped to its right side, so the samurai shifted her blade to point the sharp edge at her quarry. The strong grip of her left hand kept the blade steady while her dominant right hand slashed the weapon towards the boar.
Her attack left a deep, long cut against the creature’s neck, causing it to stagger and fall. Caerbannog, despite being unnerved by having to ‘kill’ something, thrust her nodachi into the fallen boar’s skull. Much to her relief, the creature turned to data particles and did not lie there in its own blood. With the other boar still weakened, the samurai walked over to it and ended its short in-game life. Now, there was only one boar left; one which she had injured earlier. It did not have anywhere to run to, and it would take just one more hit to put it out of its misery. At that point, Kyuu thought of something, and perhaps her fellow player could help.
“ Bacon? “ the girl asked as she sheathed her weapon and walked towards the foxtail player.
Denkosekka was still active and if the boar tried to run away, she’d just go after it. A quick draw of her sword and a slash to the creature’s head, or even its bottom, should do. As for the rabbit upon her head, it was in a shocked state but still very much ‘alive’.

Quietly he stood on the sidelines as a spectator watching as the girl dealt with the boars he had to admit she was quick, her reflexes seemed honed to the point where she could make some precise movements then again she was a samurai so he wasn't all that surprised by it; the young man continued to watch in silence. Those crimson orbs of his following her body movements as she continued to fight on, despite the brief spectacle that it was he had to admit she had impressed him even if only just a bit. When the battle ended he was surprised, and confused that she left one alive he could not fully understand why she had chosen to do that. Then she would walk towards him approaching as she said a single word, one that he would echo with a tone that carried his word filled with curiosity "Bacon?" he questioned with a raised brow. At first it took him a while to put the two bits together as to what the girl meant but then as he stared at the boar, its strong resemblance to a pig, and the girls voice rang in his head again saying the same word "You want that bacon?" he would ask her gesturing towards the fallen boar with his free hands pointed finger.
He did question why the girl didn't introduce herself, or why she didn't even say hi all she said was that single word, he figured she was a chef that was after all one of the available crafting classes that players were allowed to choose from. Not sure how they would go about this he would approach the boar with a bit of caution in his step, just in case it decided to give one final hoorah before being whisked off into the after life. Once he was well within a range where he could strike the boar down if need be he would stop, his eyes examining the injuries it had suffered from the girls vicious attacks, "Heh" was all he said more to himself, his tail wagging side to side with a slow swaying motion. Turning to look at the girl over his shoulder his fox years would twitch a few times before he asked, "Hey, how do you plan to get the bacon?" he asked her curiously. WC: 392

The samurai was very lucky to have come across intuitive players early on. With one word she could get her message through, but not without follow-up questions. When the foxtail asked if she wanted that bacon, pertaining to the boar, Caerbannog nodded. That action woke the rabbit up from its shocked state. While the girl’s attention was on the other samurai, the frenmic rabbit’s eyes were on the last boar.
The boar stood its ground, undecided if it should run away or charge at the adventurers while they conversed. The creature was slightly unnerved by the dagger-like stare of the frenmic rabbit which sat firmly upon the blade-wielding biped. As for Caerbannog, she was amused by the foxtail player’s appearance especially since he was bright red. For a few moments, she watched the movements of his tail until a question snapped her back to that reality. How to get the bacon... how indeed?
The black-haired samurai opened her mouth to speak, intending to answer the question. But no answer came to mind. If the boars turned to data crystals, then there was no carcass left. In most MMOs, one could get loot from monster kills, but not in this realistic Elder Tale, or so it seemed. With that realization, she merely looked at the other samurai and shrugged. Suddenly, a loud, sanity-shattering shriek echoed through her ears. It was the frenmic rabbit’s alerting call. She wished that it would turn the volume down a bit, but that was all up to the creature.
As for the meaning of the shriek, Caerbannog knew that it only meant one thing: danger! The boar had decided to charge at the other adventurer when he turned to Kyuu. With her weapon still sheathed, the samurai dashed between the foxtail and the attacker; one hand was on her head to keep the frenmic rabbit in place. Denkosekka took the hit, causing only minor damage to the samurai; notably, both the girl and the boar were knocked back. Though struggling with, perhaps, just one more HP, the boar got up and ran away, squealing as it went on and possibly calling for other boars. That almost made Caerbannog wonder out loud if the creature was Elder Tale’s version of a Wobbuffet. However, she merely sat up, slightly dazed, while the rabbit on her head finally mustered the courage to hop off and run into the forest.

After a long moment of eye contact he would expect a response from the girl, or maybe she would just go ahead, and do it whatever she needed to do in order to get the bacon; already expecting to be ready to witness something new he would wait. Yet, in the end all he got was a shrug not even a verbal response, was this girl mute? The thought would linger on his mind but it was not allowed to linger for very long all because a loud ear drum piercing sound found itself ringing into his ears causing him to be pulled from his thoughts, when he turned his attention he would see the boar incoming. Crimson orbs would widen as they filled with surprise, he needed to stop the charging boar somehow, instinctively he tightened the grip on the hilt of his katana ready to use it to intercept the enemy yet deep down he was aware that he was not going to make it in time; it was one of those gut feelings. Fortunately for the fox tail samurai the mute girl jumped in front of the attack using a skill of her own to repel the boar away, but in turn she was also knocked away from the resulting flash of energy that came from the impact.
Everything happened so fast, and so many thoughts were flashing through Bunji's mind that he really had a hard time deciding what to do for a moment he found himself just frozen in place unsure how to handle the situation. Yet, in the heat of the moment he made a quick dash for the boar its HP was low he was not going to let that thing get away, the boar was crying out wildly as if calling for its brethren to come help it; Bunji would not allow this. Closing the distance between himself, and the boar rather quickly all he needed to do was get within striking range of the boar once he stepped into it a wild swing was released, the shoulder contracted, and his elbow extended to give his sword the extra reach to hit the boar in the rear. With that the beast squealed in pain, and its body burst into crystal of data that temporarily rained down to the ground before slowly fading away.
Not long after did the fox tail emerge from the wilderness splitting bushes, and pushing apart branches form his path; once he was out he found himself staring at the girl that seemed to be lost in a daze. Swiftly sliding his katana into its respective scabbard he would approach the girl, noticing the rabbit was gone from her head but paying it not much mind. When he was close to her he held out his right hand for her, "Looks like you could use a hand there. Thanks for the help by the way" he said to the girl giving her a soft smile that decorated his masculine features, and his ears; well they twitched around as what normal for them when picking up sound form the surrounding wilderness. Caerbannog immediately put a hand on her head to check how the rabbit was doing. Upon finding that the creature was not there, she looked around and was relieved when she saw the rabbit run into the forest. The other samurai had disposed of the last boar, or so it seemed; he then held out a hand to her and she reacted by backing off a bit, obviously surprised. A friend had been invading her personal space recently and though she did not mind it that much, Caerbannog was not keen on letting complete strangers touch her. When she looked at the foxtail player though, she realized that she was mistaken, that he only wanted to help her up. With her right hand, she accepted his help and got up. Noticeably, her grip was weak; her left hand had the stronger grip.
“ I’m sorry for troubling you, “ the black-haired samurai bowed to the foxtail after she righted herself.
Though she was not on good terms with her mother, Caerbannog had no issues with her Japanese relatives. They taught her the basics of their culture, especially regarding respect for others, even those that she’d meet for the first time. But she was getting close to her word limit for the day, and so after that one ‘long’ sentence, the samurai went back to her few-words way.
“ Caerbannog, “ she looked up at the foxtail and pointed to herself.
Once again she noticed his fox ears and the fluffy tail. And it was then that she remembered that she was a ‘wolf hair’ in the game. The samurai put her hands on her head, and turned around looking for a tail behind her, but there was none. Supposedly, they would appear in the heat of battle, but the girl’s wolf parts never showed up in that fight. Maybe it had not gone on long enough, or she was not exerting enough effort? After much turning around to look for a tail that was not there, she looked up at the other samurai again with a disappointed expression on her usually lifeless face.
“ Wants tail too, “ Kyuu lamented.

He would bend his elbow just a bit as he saw the girl inch away when he attempted to help her up not wanting to make her uncomfortable he was ready to back off, or maybe she was the proud type so she did not want his help? Whatever the case was he was going to step back, when suddenly the girl took his hand that was still held out away enough from his body to be grasped by her; to his surprise her grip was weak. Paying that not much mind he would lean his upper body back, and pull with his arm at the same time, when he did this the necessary muscles in his body would contract to release the required force to lift the girl from the ground. Once she was upright he released her hand taking a few steps back to give her the space she wanted, he may not have been the best at reading people but the girls initial reaction was enough for him to remind himself that he needed to respect her personal space.
When she bowed he could not help but notice how formal she was, giving her a smile he would raise a hand for a very casual wave as always Bunji giving off a very relaxed vibe, hopefully it would help put the fellow samurai at ease. "Eh? Don't worry about it, you did after all help me back there, so if anything I should be apologizing to you" he said with a smooth chuckle that followed after his words, not soon after would the girl introduce herself giving him a name; he had to admit she did in a very odd way but he got the jest of it. With a nod of the head he raised his free hand pointing a thumb to himself, "Bunji" he said in a way very similar to the girls own introduction, hoping he could break the ice maybe as he had thought help the girl settle around him.
Though soon enough this odd girl would jump from introductions to something else, tilting his head to the side he would twitch his ears curiously his crimson orbs staring at the girl wondering what she was doing. She seemed to be looking for something, it was not until she spoke again that he he leaned his head back in surprise, "Tail...." he echoed her own words, looking down he would stare at his own tail, unable to resist he would chuckle at the sheer amusement of the situation. "...Oh! You want a tail too" he would say instinctively grabbing his own tail running his fingers through the smooth, yet fluffed fur. "Yeah they are pretty unique, but you aren't missing much. Its a pain when people randomly yank at it" he admitted to the girl, releasing his tail he would let it hang behind him again swaying side to side.
"So, Caernnabog, since you helped me out back there. I must repay the favor, is there anything I can help you with now that we are out here in the wild?" he asked the girl with his crimson eyes focused on her youthful feminine features.

So the foxtail’s name was Bunji... a cuter name would have suited him better, the girl thought. Perhaps Bun-bun, or something like Mr.Fluffums. But the samurai dared not to let those words slip out. Instead, she merely nodded at everything that the other player said- from the comment about his own tail, to the inconvenience that it may cause, and lastly, his offer to help her out.
For a moment, she wondered what kind of person would yank Bunji’s tail... perhaps a child or someone with little self-control. Having a pet cat, she knew that yanking anything’s tail would only invite trouble and not much else. She then wondered if anyone would dare to yank her tail in the midst of battle. A few moments later, Caerbannog realized that she’d gone off thinking to herself for far too long again.
“ Ah! “ she exclaimed so suddenly.
The samurai remembered that she picked up some carrots earlier, but she also quickly realized that she had no proper utensils for cooking. Perhaps there was something else that did not require cooking effects... it was then that Caerbannog headed into the forest. She looked back at Bunji and motioned for him to follow. Once between the trees, she’d look at the low bushes until she found just what she was looking for: raspberries. Or at least something that looked like them. To be sure that they weren’t poisonous, the samurai touched the bush’s leaves. It did not feel itchy, so she then took a berry and crushed it in her hand. No ill effect either. Next was the smell- it was lightly fragrant but not much else.
While she picked more of those ‘raspberries’, the girl noticed a formation in one of the tree branches. It was a bee hive. Supposedly, it would have honey, right? Caerbannog gestured at Bunji then she pointed at the hive. Hopefully, he’d understand what she meant. If not, she’d just motion for him to help her gather more seemingly-edible bush fruits.

The fox tail eyed the girl curiously, his head tilting in wonder as he tried to figure out what she was up to noticing as the pretty girl turned towards him with a gesture that obviously meant she wanted him to follow. Not much complaining on his end despite her unique mannerism, he had to admit he would keep his word he did tell her he'd pay her back for helping him out, with his tail wagging behind him the male followed after the girl. Using his hands to push the leafy branches, and his shins to split the heavy bushes as he followed after the girl although his eyes were focused on the back of her head his senses remained alert to their surroundings, mainly his fox ears that's kept twitching every now, and then. Not long after of what seemed like aimless walking in a random direction did he notice the girl stop at some bushes; he observed her quietly as she seemed to inspect the contents of whatever it was she had come across.
It was now confirmed this girl was indeed a chef class, she seemed to be very knowledgeable when it came to food, the way she inspected those berries he could tell she knew what she was doing also with the whole bacon incident, and the orange vegetables she held in her hand; he wondered if maybe she was going to make some sort of stew? Regardless he was curious, and soon enough his curious eyes would be pulled from the bush that was decorated with the bright red berries only to find the girl making more gestures towards him. He would raise a brow unsure of what she meant, then he looked over at the hive was she asking him to get the honey from it, or attempt to do so? He would stare at the girl with an expression of confusion, he knew he had told her he would try his best to repay the favor but...
"Alright then" he said to the girl as he knelt down grabbing hold of a rock he tossed it up into the air before letting it come back down to the palm of his hand, once he caught it again he would stare at Caerbannog one last time as if to look for confirmation in her request "Might want to step back, those bees are going to get mad when I knock the hive down" he said to the girl as he cocked his arm back ready to fling the rock, without a moments notice he swung his arm releasing the rock! The solid rock soared across the surface of the ground towards the bee hive, not long after did he watch as the rock struck the bee hive directly, the resulting impact knocked the hive from the branch which it clung to it was a messy ordeal to watch as the hive plummeted to the ground hitting it hard. Then they came a cloud of bees that emerged from the damaged hive, flying up high the entire colony aiming their aggression towards the two players, "What now!?" Bunji asked a sense of urgency in his tone.

Only half-minding the player with whom she was speaking to, Caerbannog realized too late that Bunji meant to throw a rock right at the hive. She had nodded at him and looked down at the bush full of berries, but then her eyes widened. She looked back at the other samurai just moments after the throw, for the rock was already on its way to its destination. The girl stared at Bunji, amazed at his boldness while also skeptical of his common sense.
But no, that was an improper thought. The foxtail only responded to her request, and if she’d been more vocal, he would have known what to do. The girl was afraid that she’d make a mistake if she spoke, but even when didn’t, she still messed up. And what was wrong must be made right... in the order of urgency, of course. At the moment, the most urgent matter was the swarm of angry bees headed towards them.
“ Open area! “ she yelled and pointed towards the direction of the hill, “ Run straight! ”
Perhaps it was the sense of urgency, the thought of a fight to the death (against bees) or a mix of both that caused it- Caerbannog’s wolf ears and tail finally appeared. It was a slightly ticklish feeling; not itchy, just ticklish- as the wolf parts emerged. But the samurai was preoccupied with running away so she hardly noticed her changed features. Her wolf ears kept twitching though.
“ Stay in bright light... “ Caerbannog said to her companion, now with a softer voice.
She made that mistake of yelling earlier and in addition to that, her hair was completely black. The bees would probably go after her. At the foot of the hill, she pulled away from Bunji, taking three-quarters of the swarm with her. Along the way she’d picked up some branches and as soon as the samurai was in that open area, she proceeded to try and make the dried things spark up as she ran.

Everything happened to fast, at least the girl's response to his question was quick simply run straight to the open area without a verbal confirmation he turned tail quite literally, and ran as fast as he could straight ahead. Bunji was so caught up in the mess of not wanting to slow down so the bees would not sting him to death that he simply failed to notice the girls physical changes, finally the duo would burst from the wilderness out into the open; a series of twigs, and leafs flew in every direction as they had quite literally burst their way out to the open. The duo would run side by side only for a moment longer, before he knew it the girl would dash off in her own direction it was during this time that his eyes were focused on the girls rear he noticed her tail! His eyes widened with surprise, she had a tail all along? No, he would have noticed! She wasn't a fox tail though...so that meant she was a, before he could finish the thought however he was snapped back to reality thanks to the ever looming buzzing from the swarm of bees that still chased him.
Looking over his shoulder as the swarm got closer to him his eyes would widen with shock as he turned away running much faster than he was before getting just enough distance between himself, and the bee swarm that he managed to avoid a few that were dangerously close. Finally his frantic mind would click with an idea on hos to deal with these bees it was a wild shot but it was worth it, putting all he had into his sprint he somehow managed to slowly but surely make some considerable distance between himself, and the swarm. Reaching for the handle of his sword he drew the blade, using his running momentum he swung upwards at the nearest branch he came across forcing it from the tree which it was born from, landing in his hand he stabbed his katana into the ground, and turned harshly on his feet as he skid to a stop. Crimson eyes focused on the incoming swarm, with heavy panting it was obvious that sprint had taken it out of him, even so he was going to stand strong.
Reeling back he would turn his hips as he cocked back the thick branch, when the bees got close he turned his hip with a single violent motion, and threw his arms around practically swinging the branch with all his body weight. The thick leaves that flourished from the thick smaller branches would serve as a makeshift fly swatter, in this case a bee swatter with a single swat he knocked most if not the entire swarm down. Watching as the bee swarm laid on the ground stunned from the impact, he would jump over the few that remained able to ignore them, yanking his katana from the ground he bolted for the direction in which Caerbannog had run to. For all he knew the girl could have dealt with her swarm, but then again if she needed help he'd rather be there to lend her a hand.

Towards the edge of the forest, on the way to a brook, Caerbannog espied a row of large rocks. With the branches dry enough but still not producing fire, not even sparks; the samurai drew her unwieldy nodachi. It was even more unwieldy since she had only one free hand. The other hand grasped the branches. She ran on with her weapon at the ready, and held it out beside her so that the steel edge would hit the rocks as she ran.
Behind Caerbannog, the bees flew quickly but steadily. Their eyes were set on the girl who stood out from her surroundings due to her dark hair. As for the samurai, she kept running until finally, her sword struck gold- or rather, struck fire. She hit a rock that was hard enough to create sparks when it clashed with metal, so even with the bees closing in, Caerbannog stopped to slash that one rock many times. Eventually, larger sparks began to fly and she caught those with the dried branches.
From a distance, Bunji would be able to see smoke rising at the wolf hair’s position. Caerbannog had managed to set the branches on fire just as the bees got close to her, and the resulting smoke confused them. Eventually, the fire grew larger and the smoke became thicker; some of the bees dropped to the ground, dazed, while others flew in various directions. The samurai pulled together a pile of leaves onto the slashed rock and she set it on fire for a smoke cover. She still had one fiery branch which burned brightly and with that in hand, Caerbannog walked towards the approaching foxtail.
“ Let’s get that honey now? “ she would say, then she’d hand the branch to him.

The fox tail rushed ahead as he ran on the forest ground towards the forest where he saw the girl run off to, for the most part he would be guessing pretty much running blind; thankfully though he would spot a rising stream of thick white smoke it instantly caught his eye. The male would pick up his pace as he charged further into the forest, now dodging trees, squeezing between gaps, and hoping over small rivers that sliced through this habitat he was doing his best to get to his companion as quickly as he could. In his mind she was surely in some form of danger she was maybe signaling for help even, eventually he would kick off the ground propelling his body forward with enough momentum that he broke through a few branches forcing them from their birth place. Landing with soft knees he would extend his legs once he was firmly rooted on the ground, standing upright he would look up instead of finding a sting covered Caerbannog he came across...well she was perfectly fine; much to his surprise, and relief.
Blinking a few times he could not help but chuckle at her words, they had just run with their tails between their legs having survived the fright of the day yet the girl seemed to so easily brush it off. "Might as well" he said to her with a soft smile on his features, taking notice of her own more animal like features he would turn his heel heading back with the girl to the area where all this started; after pushing through some more bush, and passing some more trees they eventually found it again. There before their feet lay the split bee hive that he had knocked from the tree, surprisingly there were little bees left, and they seemed more preoccupied with salvaging their hive than to worry about the two samurai. Looking over at her he noticed her branch on fire, and the stream of smoke stepping aside he waited expecting she was going to smoke out the rest of the bees so they could extract some of that honey.

With a fiery branch in hand and a foxtail player in tow, Caerbannog headed back to the site of the bee hive. She lowered the smoking piece of wood and soon, the remaining bees were knocked out. The samurai then broke off some parts of the hive and put it in her inventory, along with the berries and carrots which she gathered earlier. Without a word, she gestured for Bunji to follow her back to the brook. She kept the smoking branch with her to ward off any stray bees.
Upon reaching the rows of rocks close to the brook, Caerbannog put out the fire by stomping on it on bare ground. She then walked over to some smaller rocks with slightly even surfaces; with the back of her hand, she examined their temperature. To Bunji it might have seemed odd, but the girl was merely looking for the most sun-warmed rock in that area. At last she found one that was sufficiently hot for what she needed to do; it almost burned her hand too.
“ Squish, “ she said to her fellow samurai.
The chef then put a raspberry on the hot rock and crushed it with a smaller stone. The berry was not thoroughly ‘squished’ though. She pressed the stone onto it just enough so that the berry would be flattened, but it still was mostly recognizable. The girl then took out another raspberry and put it a little to the crushed berry’s side, and then she ‘squished’ it with the stone too. The squished things had some distance between them so as not to make them stick together. As for the hot rock, it served to dry up the raspberries a little bit, as the girl intended. Caerbannog then put a pile of unsquished berries beside the rock.
Once Bunji understood what the wolf hair wanted him to do, the girl would leave the berry-squishing to him. She would then take out the wild carrots and wash them in the brook. Again, using her nodachi as a cutting tool for such a small thing was awkward, but it would have to do. Caerbannog would painstakingly peel the washed carrots, and then she would slice them into half-centimeter thick circles. Unlike the raspberries, the chef would not leave the carrots out under the sun. Instead, she'd put them in a makeshift bowl that was actually a circular pile of pebbles, filled with fresh water from the brook. It would keep the carrots cool and colorful.
