Ryuu sat at on a stone wall. It was about chest height when he stood, so it was of decent size. He was here, waiting for his friend Kyuu whom he had messaged a few minutes ago about a quest of hunting some vicious boars that were destroying the crops of several farmers. If it weren’t for the adventurers, many of the People of the Land would be unable to make their crops and such. This is why they were here, to alleviate the problems of the People of the Land. Kumori twirled, around his thumb, one of his new throwing knives. While they were very generic, they were still very much real. This allowed him to take on his real life habits like twirling a pen or pencil, or now a knife when he waited or was thinking.
Ryuu was a man with a lot on his mind. After he had contacted Kyuu, he pondered at the things that meant survival and relationships. How would they begin to get real rewards for the work they were doing? All they were doing were favors for the farmers that really needed help from them. While he had good intentions, he still wanted to get something tangible, some type of reward, but alas not everything would go his way. Kumori continued to twirl his knife around his finger, trying to figure out faster ways to level, however it was best he thought about the ordeal at hand. He was about to meet Kyuu. He did this in order to see how she was coping as well as getting her as close to par as possible, at least strength wise. It was also a time to open up Kyuu towards the new world a bit more, and get her used to a class he knew she was not accustomed to. Her class of choice had always been summoner, but she chose a tank class. Ryuu could only wonder what he could do to help her.

Boars. Again.
As Caerbannog made her way to the meeting place, she wondered just how many boars had been killed by adventurers and landers alike. With all the tales that the landers still keep talking about, she wondered if Windsor’s creature population was 90% boars. They could have been programmed that way, but really, it was amazing that one type of creature could create much destruction. The path towards the forest was as quiet as ever; landers probably did not like to stick around those parts. A boar could appear and gore them to death after all, and take their one life.
Soon, the samurai arrived at the stone wall upon which Kumori was perched. Thinking back to a conversation that they had before and keeping in mind the other player’s request, she wanted to say something as she approached him. But alas, nothing came to mind and before she could say a word, she was already in front of Kumori. He was a giant. Well... not really, but he looked terribly tall as he sat on that wall.
“ H-hello... “ was all the girl could mutter, “ Bacon murderizing time? “
Four words. Okay, that was good. She’d have to reserve whatever was left of her word limit for the day in case she had to yell for the guy’s attention. The samurai’s left hand was on her beginner weapon’s saya to indicate that she was ready. One could only hope that she would not make a fool out of herself during that quest, for Oshiro-san was a person who could bug her forever about any mistakes that she’d make.

Ryuu looked down at the soft voice that called for his attention. It was typical Kyuu and her cute self, inventing words that never existed in the first time. Unfortunately, it was only 4 words that she spoke to him today. He sighed, but he still smiled. It was a start. He couldn’t complain too much. She spoke as she promised she would. He hopped off the wall towards the short girl and looked at her. It seemed she was teeming to fight, left hand already on her saya. She was determined to start, so he assumed that it was best not to tarry any longer. He took out both of his weapons and held them the way he felt most comfortable with. Both blades were held in a reverse grip, and Kumori just looked a bit more menacing than usual. He eyed the forest that was ahead of them and then he nodded.
“I would usually have you go first, however since I’m a bit more experienced than you, I’ll take the lead. After the first mob, I’ll have you lead so that you can get used to tanking… I know that’s something that you haven’t gotten completely used to. You’re used to supports and casters, so I won’t blame you if you do something wrong…” he said. The boars were pretty low level. In order to make sure that they did not target him, solely because he was too high of a level, he decided to use the <<Teacher System>> which made it so that he was around the same level aggro as Kyuu. This would allow Kyuu the ability to play her rank as a tank. The only downside of this system was that Ryuu wouldn’t be as strong. He retained his skills, but he could not dish out the one-hit kills. This was mostly for the benefit of Kyuu, so he could help her become a better tank.
“If you’re ready, then let’s go… Follow my lead,” he said. He dashed towards the forest, already identifying a mob of boars that were heading towards the Lander’s farms. Without hesitation, Ryuu initiated, using his <<Quick Draw>> skill, approaching the first boar with speed and gusto. Using a slash with both daggers, Ryuu did not deal as much damage as he would’ve expected, however that was to be expected. He dealt about 1/8 of the boar’s damage, however there were two more boars. His initiation would force him to continue to fight this one boar, so he could either rely on his partner to keep the other two boars busy, or he could attempt to fight all three at the same time. He hoped that Kyuu would jump in and come to his aid, but nothing was surefire. Only time would tell what she would do next. OOC NOTES: 469 words

At first, the samurai was worried that, despite being a beginner, she would have to start the fight. That was, after all, the role of the tank. So when Kumori said that he would lead, Kyuu was relieved. And it was different from being given instructions through in-game chat. In their current situation, the girl could see Oshiro-san’s expressions, and he looked kinda cool. While she’d been acting cool and trying hard to pull off the look and role of a tank, the samurai had to give it much thought and effort. But the way that the assassin took command of the situation, it looked more natural. It’s possible that she’d learned a lot from him that day; not just about the game system, but about being a leader.
When Kumori dashed off, Caerbannog followed closely behind him. She was still not used to making her wolf traits appear in battle, thus the ears and tail were not present just yet. As expected, they easily found their targets for the first fight (was Elder Tale 90% boars?!). Without a word of warning, the assassin initiated an attack. He put a dent on his target’s HP, but it would take a few more hits to dispose of it. Since it was a group of boars, that move of Kumori’s also aggro’d his target’s companions.
As the other two boars prepared to attack the assassin, Caerbannog activated [ Denkosekka ] to increase her movement speed. The move’s aura enveloped her body, and without skipping a beat, the samurai moved in to intercept the boars. She was careful not to ram into the targets so that Denkosekka would not end prematurely. Instead, she opted to use its speed buff to dispose of at least one of the boars. She positioned herself between Kumori and the two other boars so that he could focus on the one which he had engaged. When the creatures came within her sword’s reach, Caerbannog unsheathed her nodachi and swung a wide slash in front of her.
Her swing was slow though, even with Denkosekka’s buff, not just because she could not balance the sword with just one hand. The nodachi had been momentarily caught in the saya too; perhaps a proper skill for using such a move would help her next time. Though the boars were not hit, that slash was enough to stop them on their tracks and make them reconsider their target for a moment. At that point, Caerbannog took a more balanced stance; two hands on the tsuka, her left grip stronger. The blade was right in front of her with the edge outwards. Her right foot was a step forward, and as soon as the boar to her right charged in, Caerbannog slashed low to intercept the creature. A direct hit to its head left a dent on the creature’s HP, but while that one took a moment to recover, its companion already charged in at the samurai.
Barely able to adjust her stance since she was not used to the weapon, the girl thrust recklessly at the boar. It was able to dodge the attack, but at least both boars were now locked on the samurai. Caerbannog then sidestepped and circled around the boars to make them face away from Kumori. It would give him room to fight, and would also avoid an accidental death-by-boar.

Ryuu began to spin and used both of his weapons to perform his <<Deadly Dance>> taking at least half of the remaining HP of the boar he was attacking. He flipped his daggers to face directly at the boar and thrusted them forward, attempting to do as much damage as he could, resulting in a critical hit. The boar squealed in pain and then disappeared into sparkly bubbles. He still had to get used to being low level again, or else he’d be overestimating himself. He turned around to see that Kyuu was doing what she needed to as a samurai and as a tank. She looked like she still had trouble holding and using her nodachi like a normal samurai. It wasn’t surprising, as her stature was smaller than average, and so a person of her magnitude rarely used nodachis. However, he knew that with time, she’d be able to overcome the difficulties in doing so. Kumori, however, was ready to continue to fight. He approached one of the boars that were onto Kyuu and drew aggro from it so that that boar focused on him. This would allow for Kyuu to focus on her fight with the boar instead of focusing on two at the same time and defending.
He slashed at the boar with as much might as he could, activating his <<Accel Dance>> in order to speed up his attacks. With more attacks, he could deal more damage, and hopefully allow him to turn his attention to Kyuu. He trained his blades on the boar, ready to skewer it to pieces, and so he waited for the Boar to continue its onslaught on him, Ryuu hoping to use his superior agility to evade and defend against his foe. A ranged or binding attack would have been helpful, but Caerbannog had neither so she had to make use of what was available to her. And she had nothing but an unwieldy sword with two boars in front, engaged. Two very angry boars, one at about three-quarters of its HP. But she had no time to ponder upon a brilliant strategy, for the boars were impatient creatures. The one with full HP charged at her again and she thought that the other would follow suit, but much to the girl’s relief, Kumori stepped in and drew the second boar’s aggro. He’d taken care of his original target already, so it seemed.
Faced with just one enemy, the samurai was a bit more confident that she would be able to take it on. Thus, she met the boar’s head-on charge with a forward attack of her own. Relying on speed from Denkosekka, her goal was to hit the creature before it gathered enough momentum. As Caerbannog dashed forward, her nodachi’s tip pointed downwards and slightly to the side while the cutting edge faced up. The girl then slashed slightly diagonally and upwards, cutting through the boar’s neck and face. Because the creature had not gained much momentum yet, Denkosekka did not vanish in a brilliant, crackling display. Instead, it faded away as the buff timer ended.
With her opponent stopped on its tracks, Kyuu brought her sword down upon its head and promptly disposed of the aggressive beast. She then turned to the assassin and had intended to assist him, but the assassin’s movements were much quicker than hers. If he was knocked back, Caerbannog would deliver a finishing blow to his target; otherwise, she’d just stay out of his way. After the ordeal, she would bow respectfully to the other player. Whether the quest would end or continue, she’d express her thanks already.
“ Arigato gozaimashita, Oshiro-sa... “ Kyuu caught herself and used a more adequate honorific instead, “ ... Oshiro-sempai. “
He was, after all, her ‘sempai’ both in college and in Elder Tale.

While he did not finish the boar completely, Kumori kept his attention on the boar that was fixated on him. He dodged and parried the attacks, making sure not to kill it. He would notice that Kyuu had finished disposing of her boar, so Ryuu nodded. He jumped back with greater force than he was doing before while dodging, giving Kyuu the opening to finish the boar. With ease, the samurai slashed through the boar, extinguishing its ‘life’ and turning it into sparkles. Gold and loot appeared on the ground in the stead of the boar and Ryuu sheathed his weapons. Kyuu thanked him, but called on him so formally. He smiled but shook his head at the honorifics. “You know that we didn’t even go to school in Japan together… you can call me by my first name… it’s not like we don’t know each other well… You’re probably still trying to muster all your energy to say my last name, no less say my first name,” he said, smiling at Kyuu. Typical of her to not call him by his first name, but to him, it was that big of a deal. It may have been a little weird in London, since not many knew what –san or –senpai really meant, but even here, it may be weird. They were in the English server. It would not be weird if someone though them weird for speaking in Japanese.
“Ah well, one day you’ll call me Ryuu, just like I call you Kyuu,” he stated as he pushed her along the path towards the next set of boars. Well, it didn’t take long to find their next target, nor was it difficult to spot. The thing was gianormous, and it didn’t look friendly either. Ryuu looked at Kyuu and then looked at the boar. He checked the level of the boar, and it seemed it was low enough for the both of them to kill. It was a level 3 Giant Boar. It would prove slightly challenging for Kyuu and the Teacher System Ryuu, but it was not impossible. So long as Ryuu did enough damage to it and so long as Kyuu continued to attack it, there was no need to worry. He knelt down and then looked towards Kyuu who seemed to be in her ready position. “You know what to do… I’ll come in right after…” When Kyuu would draw the attention of the Giant Boar, Ryuu would use his <<Accel Dance>> and then attack as many times as he possibly could while Kyuu drew the aggro. Once the skill was on cooldown, Ryuu would then use his <<Deadly Dance>> attempting to do as much damage as he could to the level 3 boar. OOC NOTES: 458 words

While happy about her progress, in the back of her mind, the samurai was worried about going out to kill things with other people. She could not tag alongside the assassin forever, especially since their levels had quite the gap. During those moments when her mind had trailed off to something else, Kumori said something about names and honorifics. Well, whatever it was, Kyuu missed it entirely. Her head drifted back to the task at hand when the other adventurer pushed her towards their next destination. The girl righted herself and was at the ready in case some mobs appeared before them, and soon enough they chanced upon a lone target.
The pair was lucky to have found that boar all alone, for its level was above theirs. Kyuu did not know much about the Teacher System, just that it lowered Kumori’s level to match her own. She was sorry that he had to take his time to teach her and match her level too, but grateful all the same. To make sure that he wouldn’t be so disappointed, Caerbannog took the lead as any tank should. Denkosekka was, unfortunately, on cooldown so she would have to do some normal attacks. The girl unsheathed her nodachi and grasped it steadily with both hands; she then approached the boar.
“ Hey! “ the samurai yelled at the creature who seemed to be minding its own business since there were no lander properties in sight.
As expected, it was easily agitated and when Kyuu had the boar’s attention, she ran to her right in a semi-circle so as to face the target away from the assassin. With its back turned to Kumori, the player could attack without drawing much of the creature’s ire. While in the boar’s line of sight, Kyuu taunted it some more by feigning some thrusts with her sword. Whenever the boar reared its ugly head to close to her, the samurai would slash at it then she would regain her stance. Every time the creature turned too much to its left or right, possibly to check what was hitting it from behind or from its sides, Kyuu would thrust the tip of her nodachi at its face so that the creature would be forced to face her again.

This is what he liked about Kyuu. She was a quick learner when it came to playing games and when it came to doing things in real life. Because she was a quick study, Ryuu had complete faith in her abilities to keep the boar occupied. While Ryuu continued his onslaught on the boar, Kyuu was keeping it occupied, making sure to keep its attention on her rather than he. This was something Ryuu could appreciate. When everyone does their job, then fights would be easily won. It was not just in terms of fighting a single mob, but fighting many mobs. In a sense, whatever can be managed in the micro sense can be managed in the macro sense, it just required someone who was capable of leading all the groups at once.
Kumori’s final <<Deadly Dance>> was activated and struck the boar for the last time. The boar turned into a sparkly mess, and Ryuu simply sheathed his blades. He looked towards Kyuu who was about 7 feet in front of him. This giant boar was huge, which explained why they were a good distance away from each other. He nodded and raised his arm and formed a thumbs up and smiled. “As expected, you learn quickly… Soon, we won’t need to use this teacher/student system and we’ll be able to work together for other things.” OOC NOTES: 228 words

The samurai kept taunting the boar while the assassin attacked it. At one point, when the creature was too aggravated and was about to turn around, Caerbannog thrust her nodachi at its face and locked the weapon with its medium-sized tusk. She then turned her blade so that the edge faced the boar’s skin and with one quick slash, she injured it right across its snout. While the girl’s blade was down due to that attack, the boar had intended to charge in but fortunately for the samurai, Kumori did one last Deadly Dance and disposed of the creature.
Holding a target’s enmity was so difficult from a first-person perspective, she thought. As Kyuu sheathed her weapon, her arms trembled a bit not just due to its size but also because she felt, strangely enough- scared. They had infinite lives, or at least that was what she gathered from seeing all those adventurers respawn at the Abbey. But as far as she was concerned, thinking of inevitable death before a fight even began was a sure way of losing. If every tank in every game that she played was not afraid to die, and did so willingly without regard for the chaos that would ensue, then game content would take hours upon hours to complete.
Deciding that she must do something about the fear that she felt, Caerbannog marched ahead of Kumori without saying as much as a word to him. She stuck her head between trees and beyond bushes to look for a challenging target. Hand on her nodachi’s hilt, she was at the ready for anything. Her heart pounded in her chest and she swore that she could actually hear it, but that noise was soon drowned out by the prospect of another battle. Kyuu found some targets, three of them: two Level 1 dull green slimes and one Level 2 dull green slime which was visibly larger than its companions.
The girl turned to look at Kumori when the creatures showed no signs of aggressiveness. She then pointed at the slimes which were slithering about a short distance from the main path. Without a word still, Kyuu picked up a large rock and threw it at the larger slime. All three turned around in surprise; they were faced away from her after all. Kyuu wished that the game had aggro lines so that she could be sure that she had all three’s attention, but she had to work with her circumstance.
The samurai unsheathed her nodachi, this time feeling a lot less bothered by its size. She then activated [Denkosekka] and dashed towards the Level 2 Dull Green Slime. The smaller ones tried to attack her, but Kyuu was able to parry their slow movements. Caerbannog slashed at the larger slime and managed to hit it, but not without taking a hit from the smaller slime to her left side. The girl stepped back and circled around the group to face them away from Kumori once again. The slimes’ movements seemed to be slow, or perhaps it was an effect of her Ace move. Either way, Kyuu was still on her toes and would not slack off even if she was able to put a short distance between her and the aggro’d targets.

Ryuu followed silently behind Kyuu who was focused on the task. It seemed that she was taking it rather seriously, not that it was a bad thing. Ryuu was always a supporter to those who took games seriously, as sometimes he became like that as well. It was moreso understandable now, now that the game had become reality. Ryuu would not say anything, noting not to break her concentration and her focus. These battles, while only level 1, were still good training for what the future may hold.
After a few hundred meters of walking, Kyuu noticed that there were slimes ahead of them. Ryuu unsheathed his weapons and nodded towards her to tell her that he was ready. It seemed that they would deviate from their target and take care of these slimes. They were different from the boars, as these were not really flesh, rather, it was of some squishy consistency. Ryuu used <<Silent Move>> in order to keep the aggro on his friend and to stay hidden. When he saw the opportunity, he would strike the smaller slimes first, taking away the smaller damage output that were easiest to kill. With a <<Quick Draw>> and a few stabs into one of the smaller slimes. The blades sunk into a gooey and rubbery-like flesh that it was difficult to describe. Ryuu was able to dispatch the level 1 slime with relative ease. He did the same to the other level 1 slime, but instead of using <<Quick Draw>> he used <<Accel Dance>> in order to move quickly and attack as quickly as possible. After taking out the other level 1 slime with five strikes, the only target that remained was the level two slime. It was still aggroed onto Kyuu, which allowed him to strike with relative ease, however because he did not suspect the aggro to shift, because of his damage output was exceeding that of Kyuu’s, the face of the slime shifted from Kyuu’s side and suddenly appeared on his side. “Oh crap…” he’d whisper under his breath. The slime tackled him, dealing a critical because Ryuu was caught off guard. He didn’t expect the slime to be able to shift away from the front so quickly, and so Ryuu got it by the slime for at least 10% of his health. He jumped back in order to allow Kyuu to continue engaging. Now that Ryuu was able to see and defend against the slime, it would be less likely to critical hit against him, but he was still cautious. Each strike of the slime’s that he parried made it feel like his knives were beginning to stick to the slime. It was slightly different from the level one slimes, but he was also defending rather than assailing. He could tell that his ability to defend was getting slower, so all he could do was wait for Kyuu to finish the rest of this beast off or regain aggro. He did not expect the latter, since the slime was now intent on destroying the very existence of Ryuu, but he kept his guard up and he kept his trust in his friend even stronger. “KYUU! Finish it!” he’d shout. The formalities of never speaking out their real names had been flushed out due to the situation at hand. Ryuu wasn’t sure if she was fumbling because of her inability to regain aggro, but it was up to him to keep her on her path. She was a tank, but sometimes things on the battlefield never go the way you want them to. OOC NOTES: 596 words

Equipped: Starter Chainmail | Starter Nodachi (2H) - :: - Skill: Denkosekka (Buff - End) The Level 1 dull green slimes had been easy to dispose of with Kumori’s speed and damage. Not without effort, but still rather easy compared to the boars. When the first slime’s HP dropped to around 10%, the samurai left it up to the assassin and focused her efforts on keeping the other two slimes’ attention on her. One down, two to go. The first slime soon vanished, and the other player began hitting the second Level 1 slime. It was soon disposed of as well, leaving only the Level 2 slime. And that was then things began going downhill.
With no aggro bar in sight, none that she knew of anyway, Caerbannog had not noticed that she was unable to create enough enmity between herself and her target. Due to Kumori’s continuous attack, that last slime finally turned towards him- and almost instantaneously too. Before she could follow up her taunts, the creature managed to tackle the assassin and his HP dropped. The samurai then lost her composure due to panic and worry. They had no healer and she did not have any healing items.
The Level 2 dull green slime’s attention was fixated upon Kumori, and Caerbannog did not have any moves aside from the active Denkosekka. Before the timer ran out, Kyuu dashed towards the slime to make use of the skill’s armor-like effect. She was knockback but only slightly due to the target’s squishiness, thus she was able to regain her footing easily. Denkosekka left a dent on the slime’s HP before it dissipated. Kyuu then charged again; the slime’s ‘back’ was turned to her- well, that’s how it looked like since the face was on the other side. She thrust her nodachi straight into the target’s... head?
Anyway, the blade ran straight through the pudding-like body of the slime and the tip emerged between what seemed to be its eyes. Caerbannog twisted her sword around and shifted it so that the edge turned upwards. With all her strength, the girl then pulled the sword upwards and sliced the slime’s head clean in half. Much to her relief, it was enough for a finishing attack and the Level 2 dull green slime became data crystals. The sticky stuff on the samurai’s sword and arms also vanished. Kyuu’s hands were shaking as she sheathed her nodachi. She meekly walked up to Kumori and soon she was briskly rubbing her arms over her eyes.
“ Sorry... “ she sobbed.

After the slime dissipated into sparkly bubbles, rising to the heavens, Kyuu began walking to him. It was evident that she was sad, disappointed, some type of negative feeling, as she pouted and walked almost unwillingly towards Ryuu. She raised her arm up to her face. There were very few times he had seen this reaction from her, very few. It usually was because she was scolded or she felt like she did something wrong and was extremely apologetic about it. Ryuu ran up to her and gave her a hug and held onto her tightly, allowing her to cry on his shirt as he tried to calm her down. “Hey, hey, hey… why are you crying,” he asked trying to calm her down. He stepped back slightly and moved away Kyuu’s hands if they were still at her eyes. “Hey, you did good… you did the right thing. As a tank, especially as you are now, it’s not always possible for things to go your way, and some things may be immune to taunts, so don’t cry… you did the right thing in taking the initiative to kill the slime before sheathing your sword,” he said.
“If there is one thing that you should learn from this, it’s that not everything always goes as planned, so you have to be flexible… okay? Just adapt to the situation and do what you think is best… like you did today,” he said giving Kyuu another hug before letting go completely. “You did well, and I can’t blame you for anything, I can only compliment you with what you did,” He then looked at her and nodded to her, knowing that it was probably time to go home. “Let’s head home for today… we can do this another day. The samurai was so upset that she did not mind the hug. Instead of pulling away, she sobbed on Oshiro-san’s shirt and probably made a mess on it too. Despite her protests against being referred to as ‘little’, in the end she was just a frail little girl and nothing like the big, scary samurai which she envisioned herself to be. Why are you crying? he asked. Why... why. Why WAS she crying? The first thing that popped in her mind was the fact that she failed as a tank. At that point, the assassin stepped away a bit and made her move her hands off her face. While he spoke, the girl looked at her own two feet and never looked up at Kumori; not once.
He said that it was okay. He wasn’t disappointed after all. But why... why was she still upset? Upset with herself? Because she was weak? Because she failed as a tank? Or was there another reason? The second hug made her feel slightly better, if a little awkward. By then, the girl had gathered her wits and looking back at what transpired, she was annoyed that Kumori was treating her like a kid again. Even though he did not intend to, but that was how it seemed from her perspective. And then, he said that. -That- word.
Home.
They had no home. Not in the game anyway. Was she getting homesick? Was she getting easily upset because of that? For someone like her whose sole sanctuary was ‘home’... but he probably did not mean it that way. Once again, she was getting upset over nothing. But was it nothing? Despite everything that weighed on her mind, Caerbannog nodded at Kumori but still did not look up at him. Her feet felt heavy and the road to Londenium seemed to stretch on forever. By the time that they reached the gates, the samurai had managed to summarize all her thoughts and feelings.
“ See you later, Oshiro-sempai, “ she bowed to him, still not looking at his face.
That day she failed. As a tank, as a party member, as a player, as an adventurer. Most of all, she failed... she almost failed... a friend.
“ I won’t let you die! “ Caerbannog looked up at Kumori with a defiant look on her face, as if she was determined to really do something about what just happened that day, “ Even with infinite lives. Don’t throw even one life away because- because- “
The last words she said before running away?
“ Ryuu is important! “

It was obvious that she was doing everything she could to look at him directly. While Ryuu was pretty sure of the reason, he did not press her further. Continuously telling her that she wasn’t at fault would only exacerbate the problem. She’d have to come to the realization by herself eventually. They finally made it back to Londenium. As they approached the gate, Kyuu stopped and then stepped away from him. Ryuu turned towards her, a little confused, and then she bowed, saying ‘see you later’. Ryuu responded likewise. “See you later, Kyuu,” he said. He expected her to leave right after, but instead her head darted up and her eyes stared at him. “Hmm?” he’d ask, but he would be met with an answer promptly.
The words: “Ryuu is important” reverberated in his mind as she began running away. Usually, a typical male who does not know tsundares like Kyuu and their personality type would not know what they were dealing with. Initially, they’d be like “wow, they’re really kind,” but in reality, these guys are stupid. One would think that after hanging out with a friend for so long, they finally say “you’re important” and then run away, that they’re simply just friends? Well Ryuu was smarter than the average Japanese teenager made out by Japanese animes and mangas.
Ryuu smiled and shook his head. “Took you long enough…” he said as he continued watching her move through the crowd towards her current residence. “You’re important too, so don’t go dying on me either,” he’d yell out back to her before she was out of earshot. He turned towards the hotel he was staying at and began walking home, hands in pocket, whistling and the such. It seemed that Kyuu was finally realizing her true feelings, or at least that’s what Ryuu thought. Whether she actually liked him or not was a completely different story, but the typical tsundere acted like such, so thus was Ryuu’s assumption. It wouldn’t change Ryuu’s position about Kyuu. She truly was someone he cared about deeply, but whether he saw that relationship becoming more of a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship was a different story. He couldn’t give distinct answer about it yet, but sooner or later, he’d have to confront her about it anyways. With that, their time together, training was over. He took out his throwing knife and began spinning it around his index finger, making his way towards his room. OOC NOTES: 411 words
