weakened, scarred and surrounded by a platoon of 4 young boars commanded by a sole huge pittered boar, not the greatest situation to be in for sure and yet Leo somehow managed to get into troubles once again. He didn't even intend on fighting the entire damn platoon of boars, he just wanted to fight one or two of them, unfortunately for him the huge pittered boar just repawned right when Leo was about to attack some of little boars, thus encouraging the entire pack to attack him.
Leo quickly looked to his side, one of the young boars charged at him at full speed, fortunately those mobs didn't know how to land a silent attack, they were loud enough to give Leo ample time to react accordingly. Leo jumped on his right and watched the boar running past him and desperately trying to stop the charge, with one quick movement Leo jumped again on the mob and activated his skill <Viper Rise>. Leo's blades quickly aimed for the boar's tendons and deeply pierced its flesh, blood began sprouting out of the injuries in a really gory manner, fortunately the boar's pain was quickly lifted as it died after a few seconds of agonizing pain produced from the bleeding effect of the skill.
Leo breathed hard and crossed his swords in a defensive stance, his eyes were locked in a deadly stare on his enemies, he was confident enough on his own abilities to fight all of them in his current state and survive. The reason why his health was so low was because he was level grinding so much that he didn't even wait for his health to regenerate, the reality was that since some players were revived in the cathedral after they died in the fields Leo began acting more and more reckless, if he didn't have to fear death then he could just breeze through enemies while getting exp as fast as possible.
Leo controlled his status screen, his health was just at 20%, it was really low but he was high leveled enough to take care of these monsters even in this state, also, the more closer he was to death, the more his abilities shone. Leo grinned and curved his body forward, he concentrated his thoughts on his next abilities and shouted,
"Outrage!"
suddenly his normal state of mind was completely overwritten by the skill, his anger grew tenfold and his physical appearance began to adapt by summoning his wolf features along the golden eyes that marked his race. Leo dashed forward furiously, he targeted the big boar but the other young ones stepped right in front of the big mob, preventing Leo to attack it.
Leo wasn't able to control himself at that point though, he ran over and then jumped high in the air, leaving the young boars to watch him soar in the sky above them. A second later Leo catapulted himself on the big boar like a wild beast, the force of the jump was strong enough to make the two combatants roll over a few meters behind the other mobs. After a few rolls, Leo finally reigned on top of the mob and began to furiously tear its flesh apart, advantaged by the strength bonus of his berserker skill. The huge boar didn't last long under Leo's barrage of attacks and in a few seconds it met the other boar he killed earlier in elder tale heaven.
Leo got up and cracked his neck while smiling furiously, he didn't know how that skill was able to mess with his emotions like that but he had to admit that it felt rather good to let out his concealed anger with a little help every once in a while.

Equipped: Starter Chainmail | Starter Nodachi (2H) - :: - Skill: Denkosekka (Buff - Start) Caerbannog was enjoying a peaceful walk in the woods, much like every other day that- oh, hell no. She was in Elder Tale. There were no ‘peaceful’ days. From the main road, the girl heard some loud squealing: boars. She could swear they were everywhere. It was nothing unusual. Adventurers killed boars left and right every single day. She would have walked on without intervening if not for a familiar voice which shouted “Outrage!”
“ Mr.Messy-hair! “ the startled girl said.
Of course, she would never call Stryke THAT to his face. In any case, the samurai ran towards the direction of that shout. Past trees, branches, fallen things and into an off-road area, she arrived just as the swashbuckler tore at a larger boar and sent it drifting off as data crystals. Admittedly, she’d never seen a bloodbath quite like that, for her own battles were usually short-lived.
Not taking a moment to catch her breath, Kyuu activated [Denkosekka] and a buff timer appeared on her interface. She was slowly becoming more aware of the differences of the game from real life; perhaps someday she will be completely used to it. With the skill’s movement speed buff in effect and its weak armor around her, the samurai charged in. She dashed and hit the nearest boar with the butt of her sword as she drew it, and when the creature moved away, she slashed the next one with her unsheathed blade.
Drawing aggro from other players was the tank’s role, right? With that, Caerbannog managed to get the attention of two boars as they turned to her. Stryke’s HP was low but he seemed to be okay, if not a bit scary looking like a furious wolf. Kyuu’s own wolf features had just appeared: the usual wolf ears and tail, and nothing else. Perhaps if she was angrier, her wolf eyes and fangs would show, but at the moment she was just focused on keeping those mobs’ attention on her. So focused that she did not notice the third one pull away at an attempt to charge at Stryke.

Leo kept up his pace, giving no respite to his enemies by running over the field like a madman while trying to connect hits. It wasn't the best strategy to deal with multiple enemies and in that thing lied the obvious weakness of his berserker skill, his damage output increased to the cost of being unable to fight lucidly and come up with a better strategy than just tearing up everything in his path.
In his rage, the berserker managed to notice that something felt a little strange, the other mobs stopped taking care of him. Leo jumped backwards and turned around his body in mid air to see what the hell was happening, another adventurer joined the fight and was taking away all the aggro from him. At first he felt even more infuriated, in his rage the first thought that came up to his otherwise logical mind was that someone was trying to stealing his kills, then he finally had a good look at the other adventurer's face.
Leo was surprised to see that the mysterious adventurer was Caerbannog, his anger diminished a bit but he still felt slightly irritated, those were his prey and the girl was taking away the satisfaction of destroying them alone.
Looking more carefully, Leo also noticed that she had drawn aggro on 2 mobs and that meant the last was still-
"Ouch-"
Leo growled as he took the full force of a head butt on his back, the remaining pig managed to sneak on him unnoticed while he was looking away, ironically the mindless beast came up with a way better battle strategy than Leo-berserker. As soon as Leo turned around, all it took was one fleeting look at his savage golden eyes to make the pig understand that if he got his hands on it, Leo would've killed the poor pig in the most painful way possible. with an evasive maneuver the pig started to back off in the opposite direction from where it came, but Leo was determined to make it pay double for that headbutt. <Straights> was activated and Leo's left sword suddenly glowed with a color that greatly resembled his own golden eyes, then the Windsor Acqua sword's blade started extending at a fast rate only stopping once it grew at least 4 feet. Leo growled and then he let the huge sword fall on the pig, the blade connected with the pig thanks to the additional extension and killed the mob without much difficulty.
The mob vanished in a sea of sparkles, leaving behind some loot, Leo turned his head around and looked at Caerbannog continuing her own fight, she didn't seem to need help but to be fair Leo in that moment only thought about getting his prey back. He reversed the grip on his newly bought Windsor Aqua Longswords and then he steadily dashed in the direction of the girl and the boars. The distance between them wasn't much but he it was enough for his berserker skill to lose a little grip on Leo's mind, which was finally starting to clear up from all that anger.

Equipped: Starter Chainmail | Starter Nodachi (2H) - :: - Skill: Denkosekka (Buff - End) Eyes on her targets, Caerbannog looked above their heads to check the HP bars. The boar to her right had lower HP, so she opted to attack that one first. Denkosekka’s timer was quickly ticking away, so without delay, the samurai dashed to her right side. The boars followed her but they turned slower than the girl, and so the samurai was able to get one slash into the low-HP boar’s side. It squealed in pain and jerked back, but its companion still confidently charged at the adventurer.
Unable to reposition herself into another attacking stance, Caerbannog held her nodachi with just her right hand and moved it to her right side with the edge facing down. It was still unsheathed but difficult to attack with at that point. Instead, the girl put her left arm up over her face to defend against the boar’s charge. She took most of the attack’s full force since the boar was able to gain momentum. Denkosekka was only able to absorb a small amount of damage before it dissipated, leaving a momentary crackle of what seemed to be electricity at the point of impact. Both the girl and the boar were thrown backwards, their HP lessened.
As she was getting up, Caerbannog noticed the swashbuckler whose HP was very low. She did not know about his berserker subclass so all the girl thought was that he was in danger of ‘dying’. The knockbacked boar was still writhing on the ground, right on Stryke’s path. The lower-HP boar was up on its feet though, and its enmity was switching between the swashbuckler and the samurai. While the creature was confused, Caerbannog dashed towards it and finished the boar off with a slash to its face. All that was left was the writhing young pittered boar which was taking its time just flailing there on the ground.

While Leo sprinted back on the action, Caerbannog dealt with the 2 mobs, progressively taking away their HP. She was doing her job as a tank, keep the mobs stalled and dishing away their HP by taking advantage of the openings, in a party play they were an outmost necessity.
One of the boars got knocked back by one of the girl's parries, Leo didn't let that opportunity slip and quickly tried to get as close to the mob as possible before it could stand up again. After about a second Leo covered all the ground that separated the two combatants, he held his swords outwards and slightly behind him, the forward motion of the sprint made them cut grass blades on the ground as Leo got closer to the mob. Once finally on top of the boar, Leo spun his body while reverse-gripping his windsor aqua longswords, while rotating his right blade met with the boar's snout and slashed it, quickly followed by his left sword that accentuated the injury with another slash on the same spot.
The attacks weren't enough to kill the mob though, his previous usage of the skill <Straights> weakened his swords' damage output. That skill was useful and really cool to use, but that damage debuff that quickly followed prevented him from utilizing it as much as he wanted, Leo had to be careful on timing this skill usage.
The attack had another side effect, however, as soon as his swords connected with the boars he could feel his anger levels rising up again, his outrage didn't wear off yet. With his anger back in place, Leo growled at the monster while it tried to hit him with a head butt. With a swift movement , the berserker crossed his swords in front of him and parried the attack just in time, the boar however wasn't happy with the result and tried to push Leo away with brute strength. Leo was higher leveled though, so it was relatively easy for him to overpower the boar and pushing it backwards by releasing his swords form the crossed position and stretching them out. The boar fell on the ground, open for the final attack, Leo growled and activated his <Fold Step> skill, his body was propelled forward quickly to give the mob no time to get up again. Leo jumped, his swords still held in a reverse grip, as he fell back on the boar he shouted:
"DIE!"
Then he deeply pierced the mob with his two swords. The boar squealed once again and then died in a sea of sparkles. With the majority of the boars gone, Leo looked around nervously to see if he missed any but the only one he could find was the one Caerbannog was currently fighting with. The mob was at low health and it looked like the girl was about to deal the finishing blow, Leo snorted and rushed on her direction, with outrage taking a tight grip on his state of mind again all he could think was that he wanted to kill his mobs by himself. His determination on getting the killing blow on the last boar was soon destroyed by Caerbannog though, the girl killed it and thus ended the fight for good. When Leo ended his dash he stood a few meters away from Caerbannog, outrage was already wearing but not quickly enough to prevent him to give the girl a piercing glare with his golden eyes and growling at her in a low tone, "Nobody asked you to interfere..."

Equipped: Starter Chainmail | Starter Nodachi (2H) - :: - Skill: Denkosekka (Buff - ON CD) The fight ended rather quickly even though they were up against a lot of mobs. The swashbuckler’s experience and strength accounted for most of that. Caerbannog was about to put away her nodachi and check how Stryke was doing, but his growl warned her otherwise. Only then was the girl able to really look at the other player, since the boars were out of the way, and he was quite the sight. Wolf hair ears and tail, eyes and fangs were all out. Were his eyes originally golden? She thought that they weren’t like that before; otherwise she would have noticed such a unique feature.
“ Stryke, you okay? “ the samurai asked in monotone as she put both her hands on the hilt of her weapon.
The samurai grasped her weapon tightly and assumed what was supposed to be a defensive stance. But either her own wolf hair traits were coming out to protect her, or she was just really bad at it due to having no real life training- the stance ended up looking like an aggressive one. Her right foot was stepped forward, the tip of her weapon was pointed at Stryke and its edge gleamed as if it was ready for a fight. Denkosekka was on cooldown and the two had quite the level gap, but Caerbannog wasn’t one to back down from any fight. She did try to diffuse the situation...
“ Down boy, “ the girl said.
... but that just might have made matters worse.

OC: Violent post is violent, this is what happens when you listen to disturbed while trying to get muse ._. linkLeo was a guy somewhat prone to anger already, but he was also good at containing it for most part. Despite his optimistic personality, his desire to always be kind and respectful with whoever had good intentions, deep within him a thousand fires burned with hatred and wrath. On the outside he might look as nothing could affect him, always maintaining a confident approach and never letting himself overcome by emotions, but on the inside he was way more emotionally unstable and cold than what he appeared to be. Even with friends and people he cared for, his acts of friendliness always concealed a little flame of anger and cold heartedness. He never really let anyone get too much close to his personal sphere, a lone wolf that depended on himself alone and lived by his own rules. The berserker primary skill was really peculiar and strange, maybe if someone with a different personality than Leo it would have a drastically different effect as well. For Leo activating outrage felt like all the years passed on storing anger were finally releasing all at once like a volcanic eruption , it was a feeling too good to not keep himself spamming the skill whenever he reached a critical amount of HP. The only toll he had to pay was the inability of thinking straight during the course of the skill, but there was also another greater toll he was completely unwary of and was about to realize it. Leo continued to stare furiously at Caerbannog with his golden eyes, his wild growl showed pointy canines ready to lacerate flesh and his ears and tail all pointed aggressively at the sky.Leo was still too much under the influence of his skill to even care about what the girl was saying, his mind refused to work and he could only think about how she was still pointing her weapon against him. Mistaking Caerbannog's defensive stance as an offensive assault, something happened inside Leo's mind. That fighting stance reactivated outrage at full force, anger started to gain full control of Leo like it had never done in his entire life. " You've made a huge mistake...." Leo said, his voice was so low and anger-filled that it could be mistaken as a beast's growl. His thoughts weren't even human anymore, he only thought of tearing her up from limb to limb. He locked his expression into a deadly stare, he snorted and then activated his <Fold Step> skill. He dashed forward at high speed while gripping his swords so tightly that it hurt him, soon after he was face to face with Caerbannog, he then quickly swung his right sword horizontally. Right now he couldn't realize what he was doing ,he was actually attacking her, he was attacking another person with the intent of massacring her. Leo wasn't even the shadow of his former self in that particular moment, it was like a beast took control of him, the kind hearted adventurer was now blood thirsty monster. WC: 502

Equipped: Starter Chainmail | Starter Nodachi (2H) - :: - Skill: Denkosekka (Buff - ON CD) The world wasn’t always nice and pretty. Caerbannog knew that already, but all the downs that she’d experienced in her life were not enough to prepare her for what happened next. Skills and attacks looked cool from a computer screen, but not quite so up close. The carnage that she saw earlier should have clued her in. She should have researched about the various classes and subclasses- should have prepared herself mentally before every fight.
But it was too late for any of that. The samurai had jumped into a fight without an understanding of Stryke’s circumstances. Not his personality or life story, but at the very least, his abilities and tendencies within the game. Caerbannog had many mistakes and shortcomings, but the worst one so far was the fact that she pointed her weapon at an outraged berserker. And instead of backing down when Stryke became more infuriated, the samurai tightened her grip on her nodachi.
Denkosekka would not have helped even if the cooldown was done. The level gap and player experience was too great. As a tank her HP could probably take a beating or two, but fighting using her own mind and body was completely different from just engaging PvP in an MMORPG. Stryke moved so quickly that Caerbannog’s eyes weren’t able to follow his movement until he was right in front of her. The girl’s wolf ears twitched, her racial traits alerting her before her mind could react. All she noticed was that his right shoulder moved, so an attack was coming from her left side.
Caerbannog pulled her left arm in, bending it so that the sword would guard her left side. Her right arm was stretched farther than when she used her usual sword stances, and with that position the samurai quickly realized that she did not have the strength to guard properly. Stryke’s weapon stuck her nodachi at a level too close to the hilt. The girl had to grip the nodachi with her right hand tightly, but that had always been weaker than her left hand despite being the dominant one. She thought that her wrist would break from the strength of the attack, and with the attacker that close to her, she could not support the defensive move with her whole body.
Sparks flew as metal clashed against metal, but one wasn’t anywhere near as strong as the other. The samurai’s nodachi lost its defensive position. The blade was pushed back by the sheer force of Stryke’s attack and when Caerbannog’s own blade angled to the side, her attacker’s weapon forced its way past the nodachi. The girl wasn’t able to turn quickly so she lost her footing when the weight shifted to one side due to the attack, and she fell to her right. She wasn’t spared from Stryke’s attack however. His blade sliced clean through her weak armor, dug through the flesh of her upper left arm and almost hit her bone even.
Whether it was due to shock or pain, the girl did not know why- just that her mind was almost completely blank as she fell. Her own blood was all over the place; she’d never been in such a crimson red fight before. Her own fights were usually short and clean, with her blade making short work of her targets. Being on the receiving end of a blade was a whole other matter, something that she was not prepared for just yet. It was a rude awakening, to say the least. With her upper left arm cut deeply, blood flowed down her limb as she tried to stand up and organize her thoughts. Caerbannog couldn’t even hold her sword properly at that point for it was a two-handed weapon. Only her right hand held the nodachi in front of the girl, slightly diagonal to protect her torso and face. She didn’t even question Stryke’s motive and actions; the samurai was much too preoccupied thinking how she would survive.

As Leo proceeded to attack Cearbannog, she obviously reacted to his assault by parrying his sword with her own nodachi. Normally a 2 handed weapon used by one of the tank classes could surely deflect the attack of a single longsword, however, the difference in levels and gear between the two adventurers was too great. After meeting some resistance at first, Leo managed to get the upper hand, progressively pushing back Caerbannog's nodachi with his single windsor aqua longsword, the girl was eventually overwhelmed by the charge and fell on her right side. Before she fell, however, Leo's sword managed to get a clean hit on Caerbannog after pushing back her nodachi by a good amount. The sword ripped the armor on her arm and pierced deeply into her skin, blood began sprouting out and stained both Leo's blade and his torso with a crimson color brighter than the fire inside his own mind.
Leo positioned himself in front of the girl, denying her the possibility of getting up, he stared at her silently while gripping his swords tightly and then he raised his right arm. His sword followed the movement slowly till the edge of the blade rested on the girl's throat without cutting it, he remained in that position for a second and then a vicious grin appeared on his face as the blood on his blade stained even her neck. The girl held tight on her nodachi with her right arm, she was in no condition to defend herself as that weapon required the use of 2 hands to be used effectively. Leo then suddenly arched his body on the right, his arm and sword followed and eventually met with Caerbannog's left arm, which rested without protection on her side. Leo's blade cut deeply into her flesh and her bones, a moment later her arm was bisected by half. Leo grinned wildly as he arched again his body on the left, with nother quick movement he used his left sword to completely cut off even her right arm, which still held on to the nodachi. The arm was sent flying to the side along with her weapon, which made a scratching sound once its blade pierced the ground and got stuck inside the earth.
Caerbannog was now defenseless, she didn't have any means to attack or defend, the only thing she could do right now was to wait for the inevitable. Leo's mind raced fast with thoughts, even though the girl was now harmless he still wanted more, his mind kept telling him to completely destroy her, he couldn't resist his instincts in any way. With a movement of his wrists, Leo pushed his sowrds on the ground and then he quickly changed the grip on them in a reverse way, it was time to end this for good. He raised both his arms high above his head, light reflected on his swords while he continued the movement, he then let them fall on the defenseless girl, Ending what he started.

Equipped: Starter Chainmail | Starter Nodachi (2H) - :: - Skill: Denkosekka (Buff - ON CD) Among the things that Caerbannog never cared to learn about was Elder Tale’s open-kill system. Basically, anyone could kill someone else at any given time. There was no flag feature to turn PvP on or off, nope. At that point, her left arm was useless already, and it was quickly severed altogether by Stryke’s next attack. Courage and stubbornness meant nothing against better gear, experience and a chasm-like level gap. There was no power of friendship or any of those sissy things that people use to win in manga and anime. Caerbannog realized right then and there that she really was going to die. So much for avoiding a pointless death.
As the samurai stared at her flying left arm, she felt momentarily felt something cold against her right arm. And then, she felt nothing there. No annoyingly heavy nodachi, no awkwardly gripping fingers, nothing. She stood there like a deer in headlights as the sun’s rays were reflected off of the swashbuckler’s swords. Caerbannog suddenly thought back to the inspiration for her Elder Tale character: the Black Knight of Monthy Python fame. Didn’t she end up like him? Well, just similar in some ways what with the stupidity of it all and the severance of her limbs. Her torso wasn’t cut in half though, not yet anyway.
“ Heh~ it’s just a flesh wound, “ Kyuu giggled as the swords struck her down; Stryke’s attack finally sliced up the rest of her HP.
Dying felt funny. It was something like... going on a rollercoaster ride while suffering from food poisoning. The transportation of data crystals and eventual reformation of her body made the samurai feel nauseous. There was some lag time between her memories; she didn’t exactly remember the transportation itself, just that when she respawned at Westminster Abbey- body, armor, weapon and all – Caerbannog at first wanted to throw up. But her stomach felt empty... oh hey, she could use her arms again!
While she laughed at the face of imminent death just moments ago, memories of the event soon crept into the girl’s soul. Kyuu looked around her; people brushed death off as if it was nothing. The samurai stood up as if nothing horrendous just happened to her either. Nope, she didn’t just get murderized by a player in her Friends List. Nah, she didn’t just revive from a state where her limbs were cut off cleanly. Caerbannog walked outside of the Abbeyand took small, steady steps along its wall. The girl then felt a sudden chill upon her whole being, and she collapsed right then and there, away from prying eyes. Kyuu curled up to a sad, shaking little ball of dark hair and starter armor. Eh, she’d get up though – eventually.

A quick movement, two sharp blades and a furious man who completely lost all capacity of clear thought, these elements combined themselves into a shameless act of murder at the expense of a poor adventurer whose only fault was to stay in the wrong place at the worst possible time ever. Leo's swords, soaked by crimson blood, made their way into Caerbannog's chest, thegirl said something, he couldn't really tell what, then she disappeared behind his own eyes, leaving behind only blood and some of her items.
Leo breathed hard, his whole body was soaked by her blood, the same blood that dripped from his blade to the ground. An unnatural calm enveloped the field after the kill, the wind stopped and mobs were silent, the only think that broke that supernatural calmness was only the sound of Leo's chilling breath in the air. Without any more hostile entities Leo stood immobile at the center of the bloodbath he caused, the fire inside his mind slowly lit off, the anger slowly shaming away replaced by a feeling a hundred times stronger and more painful, complete shame and horror.
As his anger lowered he increasingly came to realize what he just did, flashes of a wild beast tearing apart a girl enveloped his mind, eventually that beast assumed more human traits till it became clear to him that the beast was actually him. Leo opened his eyes wide in horror, his whole body was soaked in caerbannog's blood. He looked at his hands to see all the blood dropping to ground from his swords and his hands. Leo breathed hard in terror, he couldn't believe what he just did, the world around him stopped, his head spun around and he felt an acid taste in his mouth, he dropped to his knees and puked his own heart out of sheer disgust.
"No...no..."
He kept saying to himself, even though he knew that the girl had already spawned at the cathedral he couldn't come to terms to his own lack of humanity during the act, he was no longer a human being, he indeed wanted to kill her in his berserker state, he didn't even care if she would respawn or not. The anger he had been storing during all these years destroyed him, his pride was crushed, the only thing left was an unbearable feeling of shame gripped tightly onto his heart. Leo closed his eyes, waited a second and then he screamed the hardest he could to silence the pain within. Upon hearing his roar, all the mobs around accompanied him in his painful song of shame that echoed on the distant fields.
Later that day, the bear sized woman owner of the inn Leo usually slept in was absent mildly washing her desk. It was late night and it was about time she hit the bed too, the only thing missing was that slumbering prince of an adventurer that frequented her inn in the recent days. Suddenly the door of the inn was opened, a dark figure entered and started heading towards the stairs with his head lowered on his neck, upon closer inspection the lander recognized the figure as his adventurer client,
"You're lucky, I was just about to close up, little prince"
The lander said, then she noted the his whole body covered in blood,
"Huh, I'm surprised that the guards let you through without thinking you were a maniacal killer or someth-"
She stopped mid sentence as Leo's deadly stare rested on her eyes, what surprised her the most was another detail though, a single tear dropped from his left eye,
"I'm going to bed"
Was all he said, leaving the lander even more confused. The woman snorted, maybe in the morning she would understand something out of that mess. She shrugged and then prepared everything for the night, then she lit off the light, covering the entire inn in the darkness of the night.
