In the real world, the scars he had were the result of bullying, but within Elder Tale he wears them proudly like battle scars. When he started playing, the avatar he made was based on a more muscular version of himself, so when dragged into the world it was... a bit unusual to adjust to the bulk. In terms of clothing, he bears a rather ordinary set of Eastern Garb. Being a monk, after all, he's limited to cloth, thus based his character on that of a cliche' Japanese Martial Artist. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Alex tends to be a grab-bag of emotion. He tends to react to rather emotional extremes when they come out, but on normal days will maintain a rather apathetic mood to everything and anything. Being a bit of a troubled guy in the real world, he never really had a good hang of socializing, and now that the facade of a computer screen is gone he can't simply fake it through conversations like he used to. Usually, his response is that of anger or passive aggressiveness as he prefers to keep people at a distance rather than up close. With people, he's terrible. Case closed. A bit of a shut in, he's not had friends in person and even over the veil of internet he was always a bit of a social clutz. Now that he's relying and forced to work with people more and more he tends to handle things with shocked, if not aggressive, means. Usually slapping people in the back of the head if they say something that insults him, or turning in a huff when he feels he has to be defensive. When challenged to PVP or other fights, though, he tends to back out by hiding his fear as that of Disinterest due to mundaneness or pure idiocy. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Alex was a bit of a social outcast, and in some cases just a plain Sociopath. People just tend to annoy him as they seem to grow more obsessed with looks and fame than anything actually fun, then tend to treat those who dont as failures and rejects. Because of this, he opted to avoid people as much as possible, and ended up relying on that of the Internet for his social needs. He got a part time job doing Graphic Design for various people and some companies while he was working through College with a aim for a Programming Major, all the while speaking no more than a few words to people at any given time. He was used to being bullied, beat up, and forgotten on the daily basis. Games became his source of entertainment, able to play them and socialize at the same time. He especially loved the idea of MMOs, where Roleplayers and outcasts like him tended to get along if they weren't the same person. when Elder Tales came out, he fell in love once again as he got to build a Persona based on himself, only veiling his insecurities behind the guise of someone tough, evasive, and just cool looking. He had no idea that he'd have to BE that person, when things took over. He ended up deleting his entire Friends List when it happened, not wanting to have to break the guise by admitting to people he was just this shy, weak, social pariah behind those Muscles and scars. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"][Monk] Bullet Punch: Tier I A toggle-activated monk ability that grants the monk a gradual increase in damage and attack speed for every opponent they defeat. This skill utilizes a combo system, where after about a minute if the user had not gotten another kill, the effect is canceled. [attr="class","skill"][Monk] Bullet Punch: Tier I Usually called Zoom Punch or Zoom Kick by players who use it in the respective way, the Monk launches a punch or kick at the target as their limb extends for an additional meter forward for a few moments. The suddenly extended range of attack catches most melee opponents off guard. This skill has a cooldown time of five seconds, making it a viable fighting style for unconventional Monks who want to fulfill a mid-ranged role. It's said that a Monk named Dhalsim on the India Server popularized this skill by suggesting a build based on being able to use it with greatly decreased cooldown. This skill has an animation time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 6 seconds. [attr="class","skill"][Tailor] Needlework: Due to the dexterity from which they perform their tasks, tailors are able to make up for any compromises in their ability. Any dexterity debuffs to a tailor can be recovered from twice as quickly. [attr="class","skill"][Berserker] Outrage: In times of desperation, the Berserker's physical abilities start to shine. When the Berserker's HP falls below 25%, their damage output increases by 5%. When the Berserker's HP falls below 10%, their damage output increases by 10% instead.
