Equipped: Windsor Antiqua Ooyoroi | Windsor Antiqua Nagamaki (2H) - :: - Skill: - none - The blazing sun was somewhere between its zenith and the horizon when a group of landers rushed in through Londenium’s gates, past startled adventurers and particularly, past a nagamaki-wielding samurai. She had been minding her own business while eating melon bread and strawberry milk, nostalgic snacks made by a Japanese chef at St. Pancras Station. The last lander to run in accidentally hit the girl who had a startled frenmic rabbit on her head, and the remaining strawberry milk splashed all over her o-yoroi.
Pissed off, the samurai crushed the milk carton with her bare hand while silently cursing the lack of drinking straws in Elder Tale. Instead of going after the lander though, she headed out into Windsor Greatwood to check what could have caused that stampede. A trail of ruined carts and merchant items eventually led her to a group of pittered boars which were rummaging through the landers’ possessions.
“ Not again... seriously? “ she muttered.
Nervous chatter from Hrairoo alerted Caerbannog to some nearby danger. When she looked around the ransacked carts and items, the samurai noticed a massive figure amidst the group of four Level 2 young pittered boars and three Level 7 pittered boars. The samurai put a hand on her nagamaki’s hilt as she sent Hrairoo away into the safety of her armory. With the rabbit gone from her head, she had no one to watch her back but at least she did not have to worry about losing her sole companion. For at that point, Caerbannog had just walked into a serious fight with a pack of boars led by Iron-Tusked Gerald. The massive beast slowly turned to face the girl, and she mentally noted that its backside was prettier than its face.

Shaz would be perched high into a tree outside the gates of London. He would be relaxing his legs crossed folded into the large oakwoods himself staring at the clouds in the sky. He would lean forward a bit hearing the grunts of boars below him. His eyes would open wide a shudder of fear filling his body He would exhale. Swinging his head over to look below him he would view the large Iron Tusked Gerald below him. Bringing himself slowly to a standing position on the tree his eyes would shift over to the humanoid opposing the boar. His eyes scanning the small being watching the familiar large floppy ears of a rabbit move around ontop of the being's head. His hand coming to his ear.
"Oi, Banner that's a lovely new friend you have there. I'm not sure how you're going to carry that on your head with your bunny."
A Soft chuckle would come from his lips, He would open his Inventory equipping his dual Katana, Dropping down from the tree landing behind the female Samurai with a soft tap to the ground he would walk beside her looking over at the female. A soft grin would come onto his lips exposing his pearl white teeth. His hands coming to tuck his hair behind his ears. A soft snicker coming from his mouth, He would close his left eye. His right optic turning a dark green. Activating the Skill Evaluate on the Iron Tusked Gerald in front of them.

"Geh, the only thing I hate about forests is its abundant wildlife," 0XF0RD muttered to himself, finding himself having to run from large gatherings of boars. All he did was step on a sleeping boar's tail by accident, and all of a sudden, they all felt it was their need to give 0XF0RD a personal escort back to the Cathedral. It had taken most of the night to evade them, leaving 0XF0RD tired and groggy in the process. His blurry vision managed to find the main path that most Adventurers tread on, but there was something on the road. It looked like a busted cart, and, lo and behold, three boars. Can I not escape from these hairy pigs?! screamed 0XF0RD internally. As he was about to turn around and find another way onto the road, he noticed movement on the boar's end. The boars had suddenly turned around to face an unknown threat, a small, petite Samurai...with blue eyes that could easily be seen from where he stood.Caer? When did she wander out here?0XF0RD had also heard another voice in the trees somewhere, someone with a British accent, by the sounds of it. Looking around, he noticed an incredibly tall person up in the trees, focusing on the boars as if he were studying them.Sighing to himself, he drew his sword and readied his buckler shield, and stepped out of his hiding spot, bracing himself for the worse if things got out of hand (for him, they usually did).Trying to get the Samurai's attention, 0XF0RD waved towards Caer, and began to position himself behind the boars, not wanting to draw their attention too soon.Words: 280Tags: @dindeen Shaz |

(See my profile, i need to check what happened to my mask etc though, grumble) Aeon was much more of wanderer than the normal player he would wander the plains, the forests and the swamps.
The Masked mage, shrouded in shadows, not the sort that many would try to look in the eyes, It was like he was similar in look to a nasgul that was one of the major enemies during lord of the rings, o yes those were the days, before they had all got themselves trapped within this world, a world that changed everything through in new powers, Aeon found himself looking down onto three players, whom were tangling with a group of boars and one very large one.
It seemed there was one whom was at least somewhat armoured, compared to the other two whom were alongside them.
Aeon thought to himself “looks like some kids, helping the newbe’s they at least need to learn for themselves, fools shouldn’t jump in with elite”
Aeon was more of a researcher whom would take notes on creatures he met, also with his large range of experience across countless mmo’s, rpg’s and a mixture of other video games, his experiences spread far and wide, to everything except dating sims, what type of person would play those….. no wonder he was so s**** at speaking to women.
The Samurai seemed to be having a hard time about it, tanking all the mobs with their two buddys not knowing what to do.
The Sorcerer launched an “Orb of Lava”, this attack was one of the fancy ones of the sorcerer designed to only impact things classified as enemies, aka npc’s in combat unless it was directly targeted to players, it was designed to keep things from getting messy.
As it left his hand, he used his other hand to cast, “Thunderbolt Crash”, this was designed to unleash a bolt of lightning that enchanted weapons, casted in the lead samurai’s direction.

Equipped: Windsor Antiqua Ooyoroi | Windsor Antiqua Nagamaki (2H) Skill: Denkosekka (Buff - Start) Seven mobs below her level and an elite boss. Not a bad way to end the day... it was a horrible way to end any day. She had no intention of going back to Westminster Abbey as an array of data crystals. The smaller boars had already turned to the samurai and the larger one eyed her angrily. Just when she was getting ready for the fight, a buzz in her head followed by the sudden invasion of someone’s voice broke her concentration.
It was Shaz, who blurted a joke before he dropped down from a tree. She noted that he tucked his hair behind his ears... like a girl. A party request soon popped up- she kinda wished people didn't do that since it was distracting. Regardless, he was obviously there to help (or to just gain some EXP) so Caerbannog accepted the party invitation. From the opposite direction, a familiar face then appeared. It was the other tank, 0XF0RD. The samurai nodded at his direction to acknowledge that she saw him.
Caerbannog finally drew her nagamaki which was four-fifths her height. She held the weapon in a way similar to how she held her old nodachi, but her hands were much closer to the hilt thus the blade length was just enough for her to wield. She waited for the boars’ first attack, but suddenly an orb of what seemed to be fire came out of nowhere, bounced around and hit five of the boars, incurring their Hate. As the boars turned to look at the attacker, he threw a spell at the samurai and that had a very shiny effect on her weapon.
The samurai was momentarily fixated on her weapon effect, but when the boars turned towards the fourth adventurer in that encounter, she turned to the matter at hand. Two of the attackers were young pittered boars with very low HP due to the Orb attack, while the other three were pittered boars. Due to the damage inflicted upon the younglings, the elite boar also turned towards the caster. Caerbannog gestured for 0XF0RD to tank the young pittered boars, even the ones which were not headed for the caster; she knew that he couldn't take on all of the Level 7s and the boss at once despite his class. She gestured for Shaz to take the other Level 2 boars which were not hit by the Orb attack since those were closest to him.
To quickly cover the distance between herself and the elite which was headed towards the caster, the samurai activated [Denkosekka] . Having entrusted the young pittered boars to the other two adventurers, Caerbannog dashed towards the Elite and slashed its right hind leg, her weapon crackling as she did so. This drew the attention of the massive creature and of two Level 7s. Instead of attacking directly again, Caerbannog ran off to her far left side to draw the three creatures away from the middle of the scene, so that the other adventurers had room to move. Once she was in position, the girl took on a defensive stance.

The initial impact of the fiery orb was nearly enough to knock 0XF0RD off his feet. Dirt and grass flew around as it struck the mobs. He coughed and blinked his eyes to get the dust out of them, still remaining unnoticed by the boars. As he looked up to check on the other two (while searching for the unknown boar assailant, as well), he saw Caer nodding to him as the bigger boar approached her. The two smaller boars had fallen behind the bigger one, almost as if they were falling back so the raid boss could take care of Caer itself.I could probably use Anchor Howl on the two smaller boars, but since the bigger one is within range, that'll probably aggro it as well, he thought. The rampage of boars from before flashed through his mind again. Not wanting to repeat that incident, 0XF0RD instead dashed forward and slashed at the boar on the right. The young boar jumped at the sudden attack, spinning around to face 0XF0RD, snorting as it did so. The attack had also caught the attention of the other young boar, but 0XF0RD was too occupied with the one in front of him to worry about that one now.Surely one of the other two will come in and remove it from the premises. The younger boar rushed 0XF0RD, who easily deflected it off the buckler, pushing back with his own strength to shove the boar backwards. He tightened his grip on his longsword, pulling his arm back to increase the power of his strike as he brought it down on the creature's head. After a few more strikes, the beast disappeared, the only evidence that it was here were a few meager gold coins lying on the ground. 0XF0RD bent over and collected his share, putting it inside his satchel for the time being. He took a position on the right of the bigger boar, staying in the ready stance in case Caer or the other two needed assistance. |

The lava orb smashed its way between all the mobs it seemed that they were able to still stay standing, interesting for Aeon’s eyes, they should have been blown to ash with just being touched by it, it seemed that all but the weakest boars had been attracted, the moderates themselves were almost down but the strange thing was they were able to be still standing from a higher level attack.
Most likely it was because of the elite, it most likely gave off some type of buff that increased their resistance thus managing to cause them the ability to survive one of the sorcerer’s most powerful attacks. Of course it now brought their attention to him, this was the area he preferred at this level, at higher levels of course a caster class of his race wouldn’t last too many hits against the enemies, but dealing with mobs and elites at this level was easy.
As the elite and the wounded higher levels charged on the caster.
Aeon used “Serpents Bolt” as they closed in the bolt would surge with energy raining out a large AoE effect of lightning bolts striking and shocking creatures as the close.
The wounded level 7’s would easily be turned into ash but the elite was stronger it would take a bit longer to drain the rest of its hp down.
As it closed the sorcerer used his sword to help block the charge using the flat side of the blade, against the two of its tusks, leaving marks in the ground as his feet where pushed backwards slowing the beast.

Equipped: Windsor Antiqua Ooyoroi | Windsor Antiqua Nagamaki (2H) - :: - Skill: Denkosekka (Buff) Oxford drew away the mobs which were too far from the samurai’s reach, while Caerbannog herself managed to pry the others away from the other players. However, the mysterious person soon threw another attack into the fight. While it did effectively finish off all of the other mobs, it also made the Elite build up its Hate against the magic user. Due to the level gap, Caerbannog was unable to keep the target’s attention on her, and it quickly turned towards the caster.
She followed the elite boar and, once its tusks were locked with the caster’s own weapon, the samurai thrust her nagamaki to the side of the creature’s head. As expected, the hide itself was tough and it took a stronger push than usual to stab into the beast. Even then, she was only able to cut down a little of its HP and with no other attack apart from her Hate-building one and the speed buff, the girl was unable to do more damage. With her sword still in the beast’s face, not too far in but deep enough for the creature to feel it, Caerbannog tried to pull the boar away from the caster so that he could either step back or throw another one of his devastating spells. Hopefully, the guardian would be able to help her out with it.

Oxford noticed that the Samurai was having a hard time trying to pull the beast from the mysterious arrival. He ran behind the beast and began to shove, immediately regretting the decision when he caught a whiff of beast's foul scent.
(...This probably wasn't the best idea.)
Instead, he decided to see what he could do within the realms of the game's boundaries.
"Caer, you might want to move to the side! I'm gonna try something really stupid!"
Raising his shield after taking a few steps back, Oxford rushed at the Iron-Tusked Gerald, activating his <Counter Break> skill upon contact.
Luckily, the Iron-Tusked Gerald was only 2 levels higher, so the recoil would be stronger. The beast scooted forward several feet, losing it's aggro on the stranger for the moment. That was some good news.
The bad news was that now the beast wanted to see nothing more than Oxford gored on its gleaming tusks. The creature turned to face him as it pawed at the ground, snorting as it readied itself to charge.
(Gee, another haywire ball of lava would be nice right about now.)
He also remembered that Caer had been behind the boar when he tried his idea.

It seemed as if the other new bloods had managed to deal with their prey as they descended on the big boar.
Both him and there boar were locked by blade and tusks as the smaller of the two, stabbed the creature, they were carrying the status effect he had cast still, this would cause some minor paralysis, as the second used one of his abilities on the creature.
Maybe they were stupid, they were tank classes but they could dream on about getting aggro, it had taken some of the strongest spells, and elites were designed to be a risk for players a good few levels higher than them, a mistake could kill you and if you were the same level or slightly lower you had a very slim chance of winning, mostly because these creatures had adds aka additional units in there group, thus triggering one could draw the group, the idea was to use overwhelming numbers to kill targets, normally sorcerers and mage types lacked close quarters ability but made up for that with the ability of dominating groups with crowd control or powerful single or multiple target abilities. The risk of course was always close range. Not that it mattered Aeon, berserker was always a good back up and blink for getting range if it was needed to prevent death. Aeon didn’t really have a code in combat, because being predictable was why these things were so easy to kill, the true danger was players.
The Elite was on its last legs, nothing could take on multiple enemies on its own unless it was boss class, even then level normally dominated everything.
Serpents Bolt continued its mass overload as the creature met a mixture of blades, lightning and paralysis from all of the people around it, the boar would be felled and defeated.
With a quick movement on the menus loot collected, and within the blink of the eye to Sorcerer would use his “Blink” and be gone into the forests and its shadows.

Equipped: Windsor Antiqua Ooyoroi | Windsor Antiqua Nagamaki (2H) - :: - Skill: --- Casters really were something. In every game that the samurai played, they took the lead when it came to dealing damage. Sometimes damage-over-time types parsed higher than burst-damage types, but the caster that Caerbannog just encountered seemed to be both. Aside from the damage that the skill dealt, it also paralyzed the target, preventing it from calling its subordinates.
The elite boss soon became a familiar display of crystals which meant that it was very dead. Caerbannog took what was left of the mob: its gold and loot. There was nothing special as far as she could tell, just the usual animal hide and money. The samurai then sheathed her sword and sat down on the ground to rest. As for the mysterious caster, he disappeared into the shadows of the forest. So mysterious. Much power. Wow.
“ Foods time? “ the samurai looked up at Oxford.
Every time the two got together, there was some sort of meal or snack involved. If they kept it up, they’d probably be overweight by the time they reached Level 90. Fortunately, tanking required a lot of energy so both adventurers probably burned off what they ate. Caerbannog felt tired just then, but after a very short while she was rested enough. The samurai stood up and would try to keep up with the guardian’s pace if he was headed back to Londenium.

Like the hulking beast that had once stood before him, the other players had vanished, leaving only Oxford and Caer standing in the path.
The Guardian stood there, trying to figure out where the blasts had come from. The figure had disappeared, the only thing he could remember about the Sorcerer was his cape.
He snapped back to reality when the Samurai had asked if it was foods time. His stomach grumbled in reply, his hunger answering her question.
"It's always foods time."
With all the running around he'd been doing to level himself up, he found himself in a constant state of ravenous hunger. Seeing as how he earned a little gold from his Young Boar encounter, he had enough to buy himself a burger, maybe even enough to add fries to it. Or chicken. Chicken sounded much better.
Oxford began to walk towards Londenium, walking a little faster than usual since he wanted to silence the murmurs of his gut before they started to turn to yells. He slowed down when he realized that the Samurai was running to catch up to him.Words: 185 OOC Notes: The end, I guess? Tags: @0x1dea @dindeen |
