The location was the outskirts of Windsor. Several tents were pitched up in order to set up a new base of operations for the expansion and exploration of Londonium. Information was key to every sort of living, be it land, men, or money. All was important in the real world which meant it was just as important here in the new living world of Log Horizon. At the center of the camp, there was an open area, circular in shape. It was the holding place of meetings and get togethers, however this get together was critical for the adventurers. There stood a single man, waiting for the rest of his companions to come by
Kumori was the name of the one standing in the center, planning to lead a group of adventurers to face a few golems so that they could move the camp forward towards the next city. While ‘lead’ was a very loose term, all it really meant was that he was made the party leader and whoever wanted to go with him was invited by him. He had sent word out earlier to those nearby and in the camp. Everyone present for the advance party would know of the venture he was planning, so he waited and waited and hoped that he would not have to do this alone. He had no control of the members of his party. This was the preparation phase of the group. The area was scouted already, and what was important was having the right people to join him in this expedition. He would wait, though, for the people who were interested in following him towards certain doom forward expansion. Just like in strategy games, turtling never really benefitted anyone. What needed to happen was for action to be taken. The time was now! At least, that’s how he would’ve stated it if he was advertising.
So this was it. These were the people that he would be venturing with to fight new baddies that plagued the new land. These were the people he’d be stuck with for a few days, dwindling down the forces of evil. He smiled because of his satisfaction and introduced himself. “Thank you for joining me. My name is Kumori and I am an Assassin, Tailor, and Tracker. I’m the supposed leader, but I want to make sure everyone knows that I am simply a leader by title. I want to work together with you to get to Sarum as fast as possible. We will be heading north by north west and clearing the area there. Please introduce yourself and your class, and we can get going,” he said to the other adventurers.
Kumori would give his attention to those that introduced themselves and would welcome them aboard by inviting them to the party. With each addition of player that was in the party, he felt that their group increased their chance of survival one by one.
After everyone was finished with introductions, Kumori would begin to speak again. “Check your equipment and check your rations and water. We do not know what to expect out there.” and with that they would be off.

Sobi walked through the camp, red robes and the worn book in hand. He had been studying it immensely since he had left the Abbey. It was very interesting and whilst it never mentioned names, it detailed immensely the characteristics and traits of several of the Gods worshipped by the People of the Land in Elder Tale. It was great. He was having an immense time with it. Such a time in fact that he had almost forgotten that he was in Sarum to take part in the expedition, get himself some levels and maybe find some more tomes or scripts of lore. He yawned to himself before closing the book, keeping it in hand, and strolling up towards the gathering point. He had gotten a message that he would be waited for by a man named Kumori. "I hope I find something useful, make the trip worth it." he pondered to himself, his finger tipped at the bottom of his lips, his eyes looking towards the clouds.
He noticed the person named Kumori in the circular clearing. He sallied up to him, nodding when he got there and remained in silence for the most part. He opened his book back up and returned to his musings. The book was fascinating. He wanted to find people, other people that might enjoy this aspect of the game with him. This whole, religious side. He thought it was fascinating, absolutely mesmerising even. He sighed to himself, that was something for the future. He waited until everybody else had arrived and Kumori had introduced himself. He seemed nice enough. He stood, closing his book again and spoke aloud, "Pleasure to meet you, my name is Sobi. Cleric. Level 1, but I hope to be of some use to the mission. I am also a scribe so I can produce maps of the area if needed if I recall my crafting class correctly." he muttered the last part. He was still new to all of this. This was getting exciting. "I cannot wait to work with all of you." he finished, before returning to his sitting position.
This was going to be fun.

Standing off to the side of the encampment, Senji was leaning against one of the tent support beams. She was silently watching as a single man stood up and introduced himself as Kumori, an Assassin, who was the leader of this expedition. "Hmm.. He looks formidable, I'm glad the leader of this encampment isn't a total idiot." Senji muttered to herself. For a few seconds, no one moved or said anything. However, another man wearing red robes, whom was holding a book, soon stood up. He proclaimed himself as Sobi, a Level 1 Cleric. Again, there was a short period of silence.
Senji decided to speak up. She walked towards ring of adventurers and quietly said "Nice to meet you. I am Senji, a Level 1 Assassin; my subclass is Tracker, and my crafting class is Blacksmith. That is all for now..." As she finished speaking and was walking away once again from the travelers, she murmurs until her breath, "I hope I don't regret this.. I will find you, brother." And with that, she headed off for her tent, getting ready for the journey to come.

MMO games are all about quests and events, preventing disasters, eliminating enemy forces, saving the world to name a few things that adventurers could do on a daily basis in a world like this, although all of that would only be available to players that have reached a certain level and concluded the game tutorial run, Elder Tale isn't a land inside a game anymore, at the very least not like how it used to be thus meaning such restriction on plot advancement are nowhere to be seen now. Leila is free to join a quest that require a better level without any problems now. One could say that is suicide since it is expected that any monster encounter in quests like these are supposed to be strong enough to give a real challenge to the players at the recommended level and outright leaving weaker players out since they would die too easily but one thing that Leila have learned about this new world is that combat is the same as real life when it comes to movements and execution of skills and abilities, the stats about defense and attack still fall under the RPG rule but accuracy is now completely up to the player being capable of fighting properly and that is something Leila is quite confident of.
"Yo, I see you are recruiting Lv1 players here so I want to join!"
Most certainly Leila wasn't the only one with such a bold line of thought but it was somewhat funny to see nothing but level 1 players applying to this quest, perhaps this is a quest made for low level people after all, not that it made much of a difference by now.
"I am a Guardian, a Chef and a Courtesan! All level 1 though. Oh, the name is Leila by the way."
There was no need to be ashamed of being at the initial level but the fact that you could easily become the group deadweight by being weak is something that cannot be denied or overlooked, Leila may be shining with confidence but still have her head in the right place to know better than to be arrogant and overly prideful.

It seemed that he had a pretty good all-around group. While they were all level 1, his goal was to bring the up to be formidable fighters. He looked over at each of them as they introduced themselves. First was Sobi. He introduced himself as a cleric. He was slender and he definitely did not have the build of a figher, so his class as Cleric made plenty of sense. He seemed enthusiastic about exploring Sarum, which was good. Excitement was always a good thing to have, so long as it didn’t get anyone in trouble. Senji was an assassin. She was clad in blue and blue hair and red eyes made her stand out quite a bit. She didn’t speak much but she got her point across. He hoped that her attitude was because she wasn’t a morning person rather than her real personality. Last to introduce herself was Leila. She seemed confident, which was good, but it could also be bad. She was a guardian after all, so Ryuu would have to make sure she didn’t get too confident and threw herself against a monster she wouldn’t be able to tank against. After the other adventueres introduced themselves, he would explain their formation.
“Welcome, welcome. Since it’s only you three today, I will explain the formation we will be fighting in, should we come across any monsters. Leila, since you are a guardian, I will have you in the front. Behind you will be the two assassins, Senji and I. The last in the formation will be Sobi. I want you to focus on the front lines, and I will deal with any of the flanks should we have any,” he would say to them. “I will bring myself to level 3, so that I still have a bit of power in the case that we get into trouble, but I will not be drawing too much aggro because of my level. Does anyone have any questions?” he asked them.

OOC: Sorry for being so late, it wont happen again :(
The new frontier of Sarum was a perfect place for dedicating you training, Leo could amass some nice amount of exp and also help landers clear the zone from unwanted mobs, it was a win-win situation for both parties. Training in Sarum was advantageous for him for another reason, being an artisan he had a nice ability called <carve> which enabled him to deal 20% more damage to rock type monsters and since all the monsters in Sarum were rock based , saying the advantages of having such a skill for speed training was almost redundant.
Aside from the obvious grinding experience, Leo also wanted to help the landers leaded by Edison to build their camp, it was clear by now that they weren't normal NPCs anymore and Leo wanted lend his help like he would with a perfectly normal person from his own world, there was no point in treating landers differently.
The camp was a bit underwhelming at the moment though, there wasn't much and it was apparent that it was still in its early stages of development. Landers could do only some works, they needed the help from adventurers to build larger buildings and more importantly to fend off the mobs that lived in that zone, the disparity in power between landers and adventurers was almost unfair.
That day Leo woke up early and sneakily evaded a direct confront with the innkeeper, it was too early in the morning to be yelled at by the bear sized woman. Leaving the inn, Leo summoned a piece of bread from his inventory and began chewing it, the usual breakfast form the lander at least had some taste but right now it wasn't an option, not if he didn't want to pass the entire day with an headache. The road to sarum was relatively deserted and only some adventurers were seen taking it, be it because it was still early, be it because many couldn't be bothered to help landers in need.
Once he arrived to his destination, Leo found in the center of the camp some guys that were apparently forming a party. Leo planned to go solo that day, but maybe hunting in group would be more efficient to grind his levels, the experience poins would be split across the members but the heightened kill rate would cover those lost points by far. Leo started going nearer and nearer the group of people till he realized that one of them had a familiar face.
"Hey Kumori"
Leo said from afar, recognizing the adventurer. He covered the distance between them and then continued,
"Are you forming a party? I'll gladly lend you my help if you want. For anyone else that doesn't know me, I'm Stryke, hope there's still a place for me."
Leo said to the assassin, then he looked at the other adventurers Kumori was recruiting. Aside from him and Kumori all the other guys were on level 1, it would be difficult to keep the balance in the party if there was such a gap between their levels. Fortunately there was a system that could take care of this problem, the teaching system. basically it temporarily lowered the user's level to an amount that would fit the current party's level range so that there wouldn't be any disparities between members.
