[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]TSUKINA [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Tsukiya Namigure [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 21 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Nozomu Itoshiki, SAYONARA, ZETSUBOU-SENSEI [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Tsukina [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] As Tsukiya, he brought the heritage of his homeland to the foreign country of Britain, and he is not afraid to go out in public wearing clothes from the Sengoke Era of feudal Japan. He has a selection of hakamas and gis in his closet, all in a myriad of greens, blacks, browns and grays -- his favorite colors. And as far as anyone is concerned, his looks fit the clothes. Black hair that stays messy no matter what, brown eyes that are large for a Japanese person, pale skin caused by sleepless nights poring over his novel, and a body thin and muscular enough to survive a marathon, last place. He's dubious about his height, always saying he's somewhere around 5'8" to 5'11". Anyway, it doesn't matter. He still can't see past the next British guy in the line in the bookstore. Even when casual calls, Tsukiya prefers wearing stuffy, restrictive, and completely elegant Japanese clothes. At home, he wears kimonos. During summer, he has this favorite navy blue yukata that he always wears. And in winter, he goes back to kimonos, only stuffier this time. It isn't practical, but Tsukiya is out to raise awareness to other people about his cultural heritage. If he could show it in the smallest of ways, such as his outfit choices, he would do it. Because of his failing eyesight, Tsukiya cannot be without his glasses. Strangely enough, he has only the one pair, old and worn yet managing to function despite its numerous near-death experiences. But this certain pair of glasses holds special meaning to him, as it is the only gift given to him from the only person he ever loved before she passed on into memory. If anything should remain constant for Tsukiya, it would be his glasses. In Elder Tale, his appearance pretty much stays the same. Black hair, pale skin, thin, muscular body, glasses. Only this time, his clothes are reminiscent of the Shinto priests that guard the shrines back in the homeland. But he never puts on that ridiculously tall hat. His hair won't allow him too. His clothing is enough to set him apart as a man with a mission, with fabrics of bright red and white, embroidered with complex designs expected from Far Eastern art. On his billowing sleeves are two dragons swirling to meet at his chest. Three bead necklaces adorn his neck, and a magatama bracelet for each arm. Two tigers rage in battle on his deep crimson hakama. And last but not least, a quiver of white leather holding shafts of white-feathered arrows strapped across his back, alongside a wooden bow. This appearance is actually inspired by the main character of his novel, the main reason why he went to Britain in the first place. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] As a writer, there are certain stereotypes Tsukiya fit into. Yes, he is wildly creative. He can write a ten-paragraph essay on the flavor of ice cream he ate on a Saturday. But because of this, he nearly borders on the weird and insane. It doesn't take very long for a companion to tire of his wacked-out ideas and conspiracy theories. Sometimes, he just bursts out a completely out-of-context statement that leads into amusing and highly awkward situations. Well, the consensus among his new found friends is that he's a madman, albeit a brilliant one. He also prefers to be left alone. Note, not introverted. Tsukiya always goes out into public and asks people questions about British culture and British people in general. He is generally friendly and easy to get along with, if you disregard his craziness. It's just that whenever it's time to work, he likes total isolation. No distractions, no noises, just him and the blank pages in front of him. He claims its for the creative juices to better flow out of his brain. Often times, he finds himself doing other things instead of writing, so it's a vain endeavor in the end. It's simply another one of his quirks. And lastly, he is a rather passionate person. Whenever he sets his mind on something, be it his novel or a love interest, he won't stop until he achieves his goal. It's this passionate drive that led him to Britain, his first and lasting love, and first real heartbreak. To tell the truth, this passion stems from his dedication to the Japanese culture. Along with passion, he has embodied the virtues of the Samurai -- the code of Bushido -- on top of his craziness. This means he's an honorable, courteous, honest madman. But Tsukiya is not without his flaws. Some people describe him as 'nosy' and 'meddlesome,' which is true. They do say the road to hell is paved with good intentions. He tries to fix the problems of others. To some, this is a welcome offer, but to most it is seen as invasive and generally annoying. His passion also puts others off. It's as if they can't believe in the sincerity of his actions, always thinking there's some ulterior motive. Others simply can't keep up with him, and they get annoyed when Tsukiya pesters them some more. After being trapped in Elder Tale, instead of changing himself, he found facets of personality hidden inside of him. Whenever a comrade or even a stranger is in trouble, he would jump in to assist despite being in a class completely unsuited for combat. If he sees someone in need of help, money, food, etc., he would stop and stare... for a second, before giving them what they need to the best of his ability. And he found an appreciation for cooking that he never expected to. In real life, he was a horrible cook. Now he finds beauty in making the most mundane of ingredients work to make delicious dishes. In a nutshell, Tsukiya is a samurai trapped in modern times and cursed with mad brilliance. Also, he's the one writing this down, so it might seem a bit all over the place, because he is. He almost forgot to write that... he misses Ann thoroughly, though he is already moving on. It is still painful, and the sight of a woman sometimes breaks him down into tears, but he is well on his way to recovery. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Tsukiya Namigure started his life in Kyoto, Japan. As a child, he had already proven himself different from other children, in the sense that he was always ostracized and bullied. He really didn't care. He lived inside his own world of books and old-period movies and historical anime filled with samurai, epic duels, and long-winded speeches about the values of life. The only friends he needed were those that can keep up with him. His father didn't exactly favor a scholar for an eldest son (because he himself was once a famous actor for historical dramas) but his mother and sister urged him on to pursue his dreams. Somewhere along the way, he decided to become a writer. He worked his way for the next years of his life, living under constant discrimination from others, and harsh gazes from his father, while guided by the wisdom of his mother and comforted by the warm embraces of his sister. Finally, at the ripe age of 15, he acquired a scholarship for the Manchester Metropolitan University in Britain. And so, with the blessings of his family -- the father, included -- he flew off to unknown lands, with three large suitcases and boxes filled with his culture and memories. For the next few years he toiled, keeping to himself while making friends that would stay close to his heart, and promoting Japanese culture whenever he could, until he graduated and finally started on the course to write his own novel based on the things he loved as a child and the experience he had in classy Britain. It was around this point that he discovered Elder Tale, and met the one person that would leave behind a great mark on his heart. Her name was Anna, they met one time during a server-wide quest in Elder Tale, and she was the loveliest person in mind, soul, and body. Tsukiya cherished every single moment he spent with her, both in real life and in the game world. When he made the decision to base an entire character around her, he knew she was going to be the one. And then she was hit with a sickness so severe that it drew life from her with each breath. At the last minute, all she left behind for him was the pair of glasses she wore everyday, along with a broken heart that fueled his passion to complete the story, for her sake. Seeing the opportunity to meet a wider variety of people in the game, Tsukiya devoted most of his time to Elder Tale. As Shaman Tsukina, he went around, talking to people, helping them with their problems whether they wanted to or not, and trying to find peace in his heart from the passing of the one he truly loved. When the Catastrophe happened and he found himself trapped in the world of Elder Tale, he saw it as an opportunity to gather pages of experiences, to achieve his goals of completing his novel and spreading Japanese culture -- through food -- while living in the world where he met the love of his life. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] In the right light, his eyes will shimmer golden. He argues no contact lens or surgery made that happen. It is all natural... or so he says. |

The aura then proceeds to slow those who come within range, making targets feel as though their gear weighs heavier than it should. The barrier aura is broken when either the arrow is removed or the caster is damaged. Range of the aura has a radius of one meter from the arrow’s location, regardless of if the location is mobile. [attr="class","skill"]Damage Interception: A barrier skill known as the signature move of the Shaman. Forms either a stationary barrier or a barrier around a target that continues to exist until the "energy" of the barrier expires. Energy will decrease slowly over time and decrease from damage taken. [attr="class","skill"]Iron Stomach: Not even food poisoning can stop a dedicated chef! Chefs are immune to status debuffs caused by drinks and food. They also recover from sickness status effects twice as quickly. [attr="class","skill"]Evaluate: This skill allows the scholar to gain additional details about the enemy. While most players can access an interface that shows the monster's name, level, current HP, and current MP, the scholar obtains an additional interface when this skill is used. It has a one second cast time and one second cooldown time. The target's elemental weaknesses and a brief summary of their skills will be made available to the Scholar any time they access the target's interface.
