[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Ragnarok [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Oswald Lowell [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 17 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: arthur pendragon, FATE/PROTOTYPE [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Pendragon [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Oswald Lowell lived life normally as just a regular student going to school, hoping to get an education and end up going to college to get a degree to get a job. He had round green eyes that could tell a kind person lied within him. His hair stayed the same throughout most of his days, blonde and short with sometimes a strand hanging out at an angle. There were at times when people could even envy Oswald, as his face was void of any blemishes. Other than the face of a handsome teenager, Oswald kept a good figure of himself, a mid-ranged body from skinny to average, but also a fit body due to his weekly bouldering sessions. Oswald's height was in at 173 cm, generally considered to be in the average height range in his school. When going out in public, Oswald predominantly wore a red shirt with its sleeves reaching down to his elbows, with black pants and black tennis shoes along with white socks whose design contained blue stripes. His rock-climbing shoes favored the hue grey. Whenever he went out to rock-climb or relaxed at home, Oswald's casual garb consisted of his favorable red short, and blue shorts. As an accessory and a useful tool, Oswald kept a neck-strap MP3 player and clip-on earphones for whenever he went out bouldering or for a walk. His walking posture seems as anyone else in society, calm and relaxed for someone who went out to buy a book or food from a marketplace. Oswald, most of the time when he was without someone to talk to, kept his hands in his pockets when he walked to places. For a teenager of his personality, his darker color scheme stood out from his kind personality; however, he was able to dismiss any bad feelings about him with his words of optimism. In Elder Tale, Ragnarok holds the same appearance as Oswald, from face to body. Nothing much has changed about his appearance other than that of his garb. Ragnarok sports a black sleeveless shirt with black leggings below his armor. In general, the clothing hadn't changed much from Oswald's casual appearance in the real world; however, it was here in Elder Tale that Oswald could live an exciting, and maybe, just maybe, it would be another thing worth his time. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Ever since Oswald was born, he had a kind show of face to others. He was never afraid to help others when they needed it, sacrificing his own time to aid those in need. He felt happy amongst his friends, and he tried to stick around them as much as possible, enjoying their talks of video games, school, and personal lives. There were many a time where Oswald felt that he wanted to be at the certain of things, and it was a place where he could easily communicate and just vent away any of his problems away. Without them, Oswald wouldn't be able to handle some of his own problems. They were the ones that had introduced Oswald to Elder Tale after all. Whenever Oswald was on his own, he'd usually have his mind wondering what to do once school finished. It was only on Saturdays that Oswald went bouldering where most of his free-flowing thoughts could be spread through improvisation of his movements. It was in his own time that he would be able to develop his own skills through bouldering. He wanted to be able to push himself without the help of others. If he could be able to perform extraordinarily according to his own set of rules, then he would be able to flow through most of his problems as if it was just a rushing river. Oswald's subsidiary goal in doing this would be able to give himself time to think about life. By thinking about how others go through things, Oswald can feel sympathy and sometimes even empathy towards his friends when they're put into places of troubling hardships. He can communicate with them and be able to help them, placing commitment to his friends over self-preservation any day. Yet, not all was well underneath Oswald's kind and sympathetic personas. Whenever Oswald was at home, he was lonely. He didn't much to entertain himself with other than listen to his music and play single-player video games on his own. Oswald's grades were okay as he was able to help most of his friends in their classes at school, but they never came up to his parents' expectations. Oswald only ever found happiness when he was with his friends, and whenever he was alone, truly alone with only his thoughts. When Oswald was introduced to Elder Tale from his friends, he was given a decision between a class, and two subclasses. For his subclasses, he chose Chef and Tracker. Chef was chosen, because he would usually have to cook his own food whenever he got home as his parents were usually at work until late at night. Choosing Tracker meant that Oswald would be able to play Ragnarok as a stealthy character, eliminating his enemies quickly while being unnoticed, putting him into a situation where he would be noticed near the end, and would draw aggro towards himself. Even though his friends did consider him to be a Guardian as his help was always accepted by his friends, Oswald went with Assassin. His reason for going with Assassin was simple, “I just want to be able to end the battle before any of our opponents can cause harm to the rest of us.” He wanted to hold a protective figure to the rest of his friends, while still being able to fight with all his power. Oswald favored the destructive power of the Assassin over the defensive power of the Guardian, and would continue to favor that power over any class. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Oswald was born into a small family. He was the only child and to his parents, he was to grow up being an adroit person, and from the work he showed at a young age, he was already on that path. His father and mother showed him love and care throughout his early years; however, he was an outcast. His grades continued to be at the top of the class, but the cost of this was that he was left without friends. He found that in his own time, leading up to his first year in middle-school, all he ever would do would stay in his room, being a studious android. His parents barely ever let him go outside to have fun, and to most people, he was always considered to be the Loner. It was in his middle-school years where his mentality started to change into something new. It was at the start of his seventh grade year where he started to becoming different. He didn't know if it was him going through puberty or the new environment, but he started to feel that getting good grades and being an obedient, appropriate boy was not the only thing to life. It was in the first month of school that Oswald developed these feelings due to a group of students who were just a big variety of different mindsets. In total, there were seven members of the group: two of them, male and female, were the optimistic members of the group, but they had below average grades; one of them, male, was the joker of the group who ended up doing poorly in most of his classes, but had his friends to help him when that F was coming along; two females who were the smart ones of the group who generally helped out the rest of them; and the last two were just average schoolboys who had fun playing sports. What was the reason behind all of these different mentalities forming a group? Simple. It was because they all had one interest: video games. The optimistic two had a strong interest in co-op games, the joker mained in RPGs, the two aces were fond of tactical and strategic games, and the two sportsmen adored fighting games. When Oswald came into their life, they knew that this outcast had to just relax and lay back. In a way, Oswald was abducted into this new life of communication and friends, and from then on, to his senior year, Oswald ended up enjoying his new life of video games. For the rest of those two years, Oswald had successfully made new friends and created better communication skills with this group. The two boys with a love for sports ended up introducing Oswald to bouldering, which he took to well. He ended up talking with others during breaks instead of studying, and eventually, the group introduced Oswald to video games, which he generally enjoyed; however, with this new mentality displayed by Oswald, his parents ended up berating him for not studying as hard anymore. His grades had deteriorated down to several Bs and few As, and this was something they did not applaud, but what could they do? On the down side, their son hadn't been doing his best anymore, but on the bright side, he was having fun, and they showed a minute amount of pride in their son for this. Eventually, as Oswald entered high school, his parents bought him a console system, and a computer for online-play and research for school. To Oswald, he was eternally grateful towards his parents, because this meant that he would be able to keep in contact with his friends as well as have fun in his own time, playing video games or going out to boulder on weekends if he had the time. He made his own decisions throughout most of high school, and it was here where he got his MP3 player, which he still has today, along with his earphones from his parents in his sophomore year, but there was something new about the air around Oswald. His grades had ended up falling down to a mix of Cs, Bs, and the occasional/rare As. His parents ended up loathing Oswald, threatening to take away his games, but they never did. His friends still hung out with him whenever, and eventually, he ended up helping them out in classes when they needed it. Even though, his grades were terrible, they didn't mean that he wasn't smart anymore. He paid attention in class, but he refused to study as much as he did back in elementary. His time belonged to his friends and himself, and this was his life until senior year. It was during that year that his friends had started going into the MMORPG district, because they were competitive, strategic if the players needed to know what they were doing, co-operative due to the parties and guilds, plus they were role-playing games. With the mentalities of the group, they all took to it well, and Oswald could be considered to be one of the best in the group due to his diversity from the games he played. Eventually, the entire group came across one certain MMORPG, Elder Tale. They found the game pretty late in its existence, as the Novasphere Pioneers expansion was going to change so much. With this expansion, Britain, the country that Oswald presided at, will have gained its own server. The friends decided to casually learn the game, by watching videos of gameplay online. They were getting quite hyped about it, and started to try and learn the game's mechanics just by watching and taking notes. When deciding classes amongst themselves, the group believed that Oswald should go with Guardian, but to their confusion, Oswald wanted to be an Assassin. Oswald reasoned with them, stating that if he was able to create the most out of his DPS class, then he would be able to end fights before any of them could get damaged and possibly die. With slight altercations from the group and debate, they all decided that Oswald should be allowed to go with Assassin. Eventually, the time came when the Novasphere Pioneers expansion was patched in, and the group decided to create their profiles and characters together after picking up the game. When deciding characters, Oswald went with his own physical looks, changing his clothing to what he wanted, and chose Assassin, just as planned. Little did they know, they were entering a world they had no knowledge about. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"]

By gripping the weapon tightly and locking one's gaze toward a nearby foe, the player's body will quickly dash over to the target and perform an attack. Alternately used by ranged users to fire projectiles at a faster than usual pace. This sudden movement takes many unprepared opponents by surprise. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Deadly Dance: Tier 1 Assassin Skill Physical Melee Attack. A skill that uses the Assassin’s angular momentum in order to increase the damage of their attack. The Assassin jumps and spins in the air while gripping their weapon, then lands onto the opponent and delivers a downward slash. The key of Deadly Dance is to accumulate angular momentum, so users might find it advantageous to use the skill multiple times in succession. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Fatal Ambush: Tier 1 Assassin Skill Physical Attack. Assassins are known for their deadly strikes, often being able to slay in a single strike. This technique is the first of the many massive damage attacks the Assassins have under their repertoire. It is a crude version however, a novice skill that serves more as the basis and foundation for future, more poetic, techniques. Requiring a long preparation time, the Assassin must focus onto their target, limiting their perception and leaving them vulnerable to other attacks, as they search for a weak point. Then by focusing all of their strength into one strike, the assassin strikes their target with all of their might into a single point, dealing critical damage. The mental exertion required taxes the mind heavily however, and the technique can only be used sparingly. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Hiding Entry: Tier 1 Assassin Skill Self Buff. One of the basic stealth magics of the Assassin. A signature move of the Assassins, known for being able to hide in plain sight, that allows them to bend light around them and become invisible to the naked eye for an extended period of time, up to ten minutes. Offensive actions, stabbing a target for instance, immediately break the magic used to hide the Assassin. The spell itself can be a bit taxing to the Assassin and can only be used sparingly. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Silent Move: Level 1 Tracker Skill A skill that deadens the user's movements whenever traveling, preventing them from making any sound while walking. In exchange, the Tracker's movement speed is reduced by 50%. For every 10 levels the tracker gains in their subclass level, this debuff is decreased by 10%. After Level 50, the debuff is eliminated completely. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Picnic: Level 11 Chef Skill One of the joys of cooking is the ability to share it with others. When this skill is toggled and the Chef summons a food item, it is duplicated among all party members. Duplicated food items share the same effect, but disappear after a minute if not eaten before then. This skill has a cooldown time of 30 seconds after each activation. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Eagle Track: Level 11 Tracker Skill The tracker can designate a visible target to track. The target's form is highlighted and can be seen through walls and other obstacles from a short range and their footprints are highlighted for up to an hour. These footprints are visible only to the tracker. Upon obtaining this skill the user can track one target and can track an additional target every ten levels after. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Accel Dance: Tier 1 Assassin Skill Physical Attack. The sister skill to Deadly Dance, focusing in increasing the Assassin’s speed rather than their power. As the Assassin strikes their foes, they enter a state of mind where they can release some of their body’s natural limiters, allowing them to increase the speed of their attacks. The repeated usage allows the Assassin to descend deeper into this state and increase their attack speed even further. While originally designed for melee attacks, as it is more of a state of mind, the technique can be applied to ranged attacks as well. This skill has an animation time of 0.5 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Trinket Work: Tier 1 Assassin Skill A skill focused on decreasing the player's aggro presence. By crouching down and holding the stance for a few moments, the player will release a visible purple aura from their body for ten seconds. For the duration of the aura, the player will be able to attack a monster while keeping the monster's aggro level upon the player low. This skill is effective in a party for when one wishes to perform attacks without attracting the attention of the enemy. This skill has an duration of 30 seconds and a cooldown of 60 seconds. Its duration increases to 40 seconds when the Assassin reaches Level 30, 50 seconds when the Assassin reaches Level 60, and finally 60 seconds when the Assassin reaches Level 90. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Iron Stomach: Level 1 Chef Skill Not even food poisoning can stop a dedicated chef! Chefs are immune to status debuffs caused by drinks and food. They also recover from sickness status effects twice as quickly. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Strider’s Gear: Level 10 Cloth Armor. A night-blue sleeveless gi with matching pants. The connection between the two garments is hidden by a brown piece of cloth, tied around the body several times. On the gi’s left breast, 死 (meaning Death) is woven in brown. The armor provides little defense, but lightens the weight of the wearer immensely, preferring speed over defense as its type suggests. The armor bears a resemblance to a certain corporation’s uniform that utilizes trained shinobi as their main force in combat. There is a stylized F to indicate who the crafter is. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Leave blank [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Windsor Antiqua Longsword: Lv5 one-handed sword. A sword with a well-balanced blade, allowing for decent ability in slashing and thrusting. It is a mass-produced generic weapon created by the People of the Land, and so is a little more expensive to buy than if one were to normally craft a similar-quality weapon. If you buy this item from the Shop, please post in the Market Center in order to change it to an item that you can add to your inventory. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. Starter Katana: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. Salmon Sushi (L.10): A number of pieces of salmon sushi, neatly organized with salmon at the top, rice on the bottom, and a seaweed wrapping in the center. Heals the consumer by an average amount over a long period of time. Consuming this food will easily fill the user if eaten too quickly or in repetition. |
