[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Pyre [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Felix Quinn [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 24 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Asato, Lamento – Beyond the Void [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Artemis [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] In Real Life: Felix is a very normal person, though because of the disability he carries since his accident he doesnt go outside to often. This leads to him being light skinned, though having to move himself around on crutches he has maintained a muscular upper body, but his lower body is weak especially his right leg being almost nothing but skin and bone. He has gray eyes and normally his dark brown hair is left long and almost shaggy. Normally he will wear an old pair of jeans and t-shirts, if he has to go out he will put on a button down collared shirt. In the Game: Pyre is pretty much what Felix wishes he could be in real life. This “Wolf Hair” stands at 6 foot 7 inches tall with a muscular frame. Unlike his real life player Pyre's skin has a healthy color to it from being out in the sun most of the time. He keeps his hair long, but tied back behind him so that it stays out of his way, especially when working around a forge so that it doesn't catch fire. His eyes are blue until the heat of battle takes over and reveals the beast within. When he isn't wearing heavy plate armor and questing Pyre will work around his forge wearing simple pants and a shirt with black boots. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Once in the game Felix has decided that he will do his best to stick to his original ideas for his new character Pyre. He will be a guardian in both mind and body, choosing to protect those who need it and sacrificing his own well being in order to protect his friends. When he on the field of battle Pyre fights with everything he has using both his sword and shield. When not worry about fighting monsters or raiding dungeons with his friends, Pyre is a very easy going person either wandering about trying to get the lay of this new land or working in his forge trying to get his blacksmith skill up to where it was before his creation of his new character. When someone makes threats to him or his person Pyre usually just brushes it off, however if they threaten his friends. Then that is when the beast inside of him start to come out, one of things that Pyre can't stand at all is people who pick fights with other players where the odds are stacked unevenly. When working with his friends Pyre is very comfortable being able to joke and goof around, but when working with new people he is all business. When asked about his life before the “Apocalypse” he becomes like a stone wall not wanting to remember that in the real world a cripple. When he is alone and working on a problem he will often pace around a room trying to talk out a problem with himself. The way he sees it is that a solution comes easier when he is moving and talking it out. (Even if no one else is around to contribute to the conversation.) [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]The year is 2018, for Felix Pyre it has been seven long years since a car accident took the use of his legs from him. He had been 17 when it happened on his way back home, the roads were wet and covered in places with black ice. Felix woke up two days later in a hospital with a feeling of numbness in one leg; the doctors told him that he had been found unconscious in his car after it had hit a patch of ice and slammed into a tree going at 65 miles per hour. They told him that he would be lucky if he would ever be able to stand up again with the aid of crutches. Most of his physical therapists even wrote him off as a hopeless case, but Felix refused to believe or give in to what they had said. After a year of hard work and extensive physical therapy he was able to move around using fore-arm crutches. However, due to the damage done to his right leg a full recovery was nothing more than a pipe dream. Most of his high school friends abandoned him after Felix lost his interest in some of his former hobbies, what was the good of following football and baseball when you couldn't compete? Why repair the his wrecked car when he couldn't lift or carry the parts himself without risking a fall? It wasn't until one of his friends asked him to try an MMO game called Elder Tale that he found somewhere he could escape reality and his disability. For the next five years he worked building his first character Apollo, choosing to become a guardian so as to protect other players from being injured. Kind of an inside joke for him, Felix chose the Guardian class so that he could protect others from being as injured as he was in the real world. One of the first thing he learned from playing however was that to be a great guardian was the need for better equipment so as soon as he could he chose to become a blacksmith in order to make his own weapons and armor. After a months of playing alone he made a few friends on the server by the names of Tyreel and Gelani a cleric and a summoner who at first just drove this naturally solo guardian insane. However as Felix got to know them he seem to notice that Tyreel's attitude on the outside a snark, that under it all he really cared about keeping his teammates alive. Gelani on the other hand chose to be a loner most of the time but when he teamed up with them, it was apparent that he lacked social skills choosing to forgo the chit-chat and just be a rude prick with a habit of being rather blunt. Though after questing with both of the people Felix began to look forward to seeing both of these players online each day. The night before the update was to take place, that would later be called the “Apocalypse” they all decided to make a new character and start from scratch. Trading names Felix looked forward to meeting the newly created Valanthe Nailo and Kuru. He knew they would likely pick new classes but after so long playing a guardian, Felix decided to stick with what worked best for him. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] Blood Type: A+ Dominant Hand: Left Pyre has a bad habit in game of tapping his fingers against the guard of his sword when he is nervous or bored. When he is alone and puzzled he liked to pace from one side of the room to the other and back again while trying to talk out the problem to himself. |

As the premiere tank of Elder Tale, the Guardian's signature equip is their large shield. Even so, it's rather bulky and takes some time to get used to for most players. As Shield Mastery progresses, the apparent weight of the shield decreases and its defense increases. [attr="class","skill"]Counter Break: Every force has an equal and opposite reaction. When attacked, the two options are usually to move out of the way or brace and block the attack somehow. However, some choose a third unusual option which is to face the attack head on with a display of power of your own. By literally attacking an attack with an attack, you not only mess up the collision point but you negate most of your opponent’s power using your own kinetic energy. Also, if you surpass your opponent in power sufficiently, it is possible to break apart the opponent’s attack so significantly that you can chain it into an attack of your own. This skill can only be used as a counterattack and it has a cooldown of 30 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Heatsink: Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. [attr="class","skill"]Battle Perception: Toggle skill. Battle perception allows the Pathfinder to notice nearby monsters more easily by displaying their names and levels above their heads. It allows the Pathfinder to detect monsters about 3 meters further than a normal character, and is most useful for preventing ambushes. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Platemail: A basic set of plate armor made from cheap iron. They are not really too protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Starter Long Sword: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Starter Great Shield: A starter great shield designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t really feel too sturdy. Its distinctively huge size allows for good protection if somewhat unwieldy. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can.
