Under the fedora is messy dark brown hair, and under the shades is rounded bright blue eyes. He has an average height, around 6 feet, and is a little on the chubby side. He is normally slouches over when he is not paying too much to his posture, but tries to stand up straight and look presentable whenever he is self conscious. In real life, he always dressed comfortably, always wearing a T-Shirt with a sweatshirt in cold weather, and switches between sweatpants and shorts depending on the season. His real life style is reflected into this game with whatever he could throw together. He usually sticks with neutral colors like gray or black. He looks basically the same between real life and in game, he doesn't give too much a crap about his appearance. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Riff is a eccentric and creative teenager. His tastes and preferences are not easily influenced from others, though he will still try out recommendations. When he gets a small concept, he can build an entire universe and backstory just from said concept, though the idea translates poorly to paper most of the time. Riff always tries his best to be sympathetic, but if someone pisses him off enough or he gets depressed enough, he will often start to get irrational. Though he was brought up to be kind and think of others, he will sometimes think of himself being better than others, and his pride sometimes makes him put others down. This is due to spending most of his time in school around, lets just say "not as mature" peers. As brought up before, his tastes differ from most of his peers. Most notably for the sake of this game, he prefers Jazz and Funk music to more popular genres (though Classic Rock is also appealing to him). His favorite music genres reflect his personality well. He walks through life in a laid back and but grooving stride, and doesn't give a crap what most people think. He just does whatever he enjoys doing, even if it doesn't work all the time. A final significant personality trait is that he always tries to have something humorous to say in almost every situation (unless it is too dire or sensitive for humor). So in short, Riff is a laid back, creative, kind person, who sometimes lets his Hubris get the best of him. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Growing up in an average home in an average town, Joe Klaffy was far from a normal kid. School was rough for him early on, because he misunderstood friendly teases as insults. Eventually the once harmless teases became malicious insults, and he was bullied for years. He still had one good friend, but most of the time, he was alone. He found joy in mainly his favorite TV shows and video games, but eventually he found somewhere he could be himself, the stage. Learning the Alto Saxophone in 4th grade was one of the most important things he ever did. He liked the classical music his band played, but he eventually fell in love with playing Jazz music. Even though bullying died down later on in High School, he still was a social outcast who had trouble communicating with his peers. He was lonely needed somewhere to have social interaction, so he turned to online forums where he quickly fit right in. One day, one of the other users on his forum recommended a certain little MMORPG. He loved video games, but was never too much a big fan of RPGs, Even so, he still went to try it out anyway, as he was always open to new things. And this, my friend, is where his story begins... Due to this, the bard will always call his comrades when using it and all of them will use their most powerful skills in this limited time to pound the enemy into dust. When used, an attention-drawing whistle will be sounded. On forums this whistle is also known as "Wolf Pack", "Beatdown Order" or "It's Hunting Time" among other nicknames. It allows all the party members to participate without restraint so it is a highly popular skill. It is considered a form of manners to greet a recruited bard by "We're counting on your whistle-blowing today too ha ha" for private parties. [attr="class","skill"]Detox: Crafting- When your occupation is all about alcohol, you can't let things like hangovers slow you down! Brewers are immune to status debuffs caused by drinks and potions. They also recover from sickness status effects twice as quickly. [attr="class","skill"]Checkpoint: Subclass- When you're supposed to be delivering items all over the country, you need to be able to keep track of where your clients are supposed to be! This toggle skill scans the Courier's quest log and notifies them of each destination point or individual they need to meet with in order to complete the quest. This works as a tall pillar of light that can be seen from up to 100 meters away. Additionally, if the Courtier possesses a map of the list, these points are marked with a [QUEST] icon. Only the Courier is able to see these details.
