[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Aurora [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Lili Delacroix [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 21 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Pansexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: kon, TOKYO RAVENS [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Twitch [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] A maid has no purpose in devoting time to vanity. A maid has no reason to pursue any form of beauty. A maid is not there to look pretty. She is to do her job, and only that. Romance is not for a maid, but for the young mistress. The mistress is to look beautiful. If a maid wishes to pursue beauty, she is to do so solely for the sake of her mistress. These were the laws indoctrinated to her by the head maid of the Chevalier household. Things taught to Lili since her days as a young girl. Still, it would be far from the truth to say that Lili is a plain looking young woman. Far from it. Her lithe form, shaped by countless hours of work for the Chevalier household stands at about five and a half feet. Her skin, having been thoroughly engulfed in uniform at nearly every moment (despite the heat) has thus been shielded from the sun and therefore shines a near porcelain colour. Her eyes are a piercing green colour, contrasting pleasantly with her cropped black hair. Her facial features are soft and sympathetic, carrying with them an almost angelic note of serenity. Her body isn’t without its curves as well. A modest bust meets a thin waste and flows out into decently plump thighs. Her beautiful body, however, is covered near constantly by her uniform. As a maid, the body is to be covered, after all. As such, the only notable features that can be distinguished are her striking face and her small, frail-looking hands that, despite consistent hours in the garden and floors of the Chevalier household, still retain a softness akin to silk. In game, however, Lili’s appearance is of a stark contrast to that of her real life form. Taking on the form of a much younger woman, she is even shorter than in real life. Here, she stands at somewhat shy of five feet in height. Her hair has taken a much more vibrant tone than that of her real life appearance in that it is a cream-white similar to that of an eggshell. Her soft features carry over however, albeit they have the roundness of youth instead of the elegance of a young woman. Her curves have also all but disappeared: her chest is now nearly flat and while her waist is thin, her thighs and buttocks don’t scream sex appeal. Lili also made a point of upping the pigmentation of her skin in Elder Tale, as if to make sure her character is as much a contrast with her real life self as possible. As she finally has the chance to properly test out clothing aside from her uniform, Lili makes a point of wearing vibrant and showy clothes. Commonly this consists of a Japanese-style white top with sky blue accents and black hot pants. This leaves her legs mostly exposed. Or at least it would if not for the thigh-high white socks she wears. Adorning her feet are pink sandals with black accents and a blue puff to tie them to her top. Meanwhile, tightly wrapped around her abdomen is a large pink sash. This is where she stashes her weapon of choice: a grimoire. Being a Fox Tail, there are a few other standout features to mention. These features being her ears and tail. Atop her white cropped hair sit two large ears and poking out between her top and hot pants is a fluffy white tail. Both as pure in colour as her hair. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] In the real world, Lili is obedient to a fault. She obeys every command given to her and every task requested of her (no matter how farfetched and difficult the task). She will ALWAYS complete what is requested of her, and has never once said “no” to something that is requested of her. As such, she is often considered extraordinary, and is very dependable. Her childhood friends greatly enjoyed utilizing her talents for their own gain. However, good and bad are a duality. There is no good without a bad. Simply put, obedience should only go so far. But there is no such limiter on Lili. She has no clear-cut ground rule as to when something is outside her means. In fact, difficult tasks have often found Lili spending hours upon hours (even days, at times) ruminating over possible solutions. There IS a solution to everything, in her eyes. It just has to be found. Stemming from her desire to please, Lili has an extremely difficult time portraying genuine emotion. Pretty much all emotion she shows is merely that of her self-inflicted rules commanding her to do something because it would please those around her. Smile, Lili. A good girl smiles. Laugh at their jokes. A good friend laughs at her friends’ jokes. Don’t complain. A good maid never complains. These thoughts, and many like them are typical in Lili’s case and it is very rare for her to ever be caught revealing her true self to anyone. Unfortunately, while those around her sometimes become aware of the fakeness of her personality, they are too inclined to ignore them. Greed being the prominent factor here. Why question a person’s motives when in the end you get what you want? Why bother to try to “break” the maid? Needless to say, this makes most social interactions on a personal level rather difficult. While she’s never pursued romantic relationships she has pursued friendship. Nevertheless, all forms of relationship have ended with her partner’s frustration at her obedience. While initially very useful in getting what they desire, in the end it only gets annoying. There is no true emotion in her words, nothing that portrays any kind of REAL feeling. In addition to this, flirtation is absolutely a wash and there is no sense of romance at all. There is merely the mechanical desire to please those she’s with. Therefore, relationships (especially those in the romantic sense) are incredibly difficult to have with Lili. Still, it’s not true to say she had NEVER had a personality. Far from it. In the days of her youth, when the young heiress to the Chevalier family was still a child no older than Lili, the two spent a lot of time together. At the time, Lili was the dominant personality, nearly dragging the young mistress around with her in pursuit of all kinds of fun. She was, for all intents and purposes, pushy. She commonly attempted to get her way through her pushy attitude (never intending to be mean in doing so, of course). During this time, she also had no clear-cut understanding of the difference in social standings. She had no idea that her lot in life was to be a scrub, a servant to those that were blessed with power. It wasn’t long before this personality (one she now consistently refers to as selfish) was replaced with the robotic nature she now currently has. In game, these traits carry over. Lili (in game, Aurora) has no qualms with doing the bidding of those who request she do so. As such, she is naturally drawn to those with a commanding personality. Her class selection reflects this mechanical obsession to a tee. As an enchanter, her goal is to do everything within her power to help those around her. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Lili was, in her youth, a very active and sociable young lass (quite the stretch from the hyper-obedient and docile nature she now has). She spent her early years living with her mother and father in a household in the country. It wasn’t an extravagant life by any means, and as such there was very little to do in the way of entertainment. Short of playing out in the fields (which was fun at times, but the extreme heat made it rather irritating at times to try to do) Lili found most of her time engrossed in books. An easy (and relatively cheap) means of entertainment, Lili loved to vividly imagine the worlds in which the characters lived, often putting herself into their shoes and reading the story as if she were the protagonist. When she found herself out of stories to read, she turned to manuals, dictionaries, textbooks and other such off-kilter reading materials. In time, she began to develop an intense focus and a sharp intellect. Something her parents, having spent their lives as farmers and market-workers found very enjoyable. They ran into a problem, however, when Lili approached them with the idea of attending school. It wasn’t something they could afford, being that they lived mostly day to day with the sell and production of their crops (hard work and little pay, such was the life of a farmer). A solution came in interesting fashion. A friend of Lili’s father had informed him that his cousin’s child managed to attend university while living as a live-in housemaid. It was hard work, but nothing a farm child wasn’t used to. Not to mention the family the child had worked for was willing to provide the money to send the child to school provided it didn’t interfere with their work. It wasn’t what they had wanted for their child by any means, but the chance to send their smart young Lili to school like she so very much wanted was far too good an opportunity to pass up. As such, it came to be that they got into contact with the Chevalier family. A well-known conglomerate praised for its wares and charity. Thus, a few months after her eleventh birthday, Lili found herself in the service of the Chevalier family. While it had been true that the family had been praised for their charity, this could have very well been a case of bribery. As the people that Lili had the chance to get to know were far from kind. Sure, they paid her way into school, but the work they forced on her was often excessive, and the head maid was anything but forgiving. She made a point from early on to forcefully train Lili into a “proper maid”. This primarily involved smacking her with a sharp switch whenever she failed to complete a task, broke something or did any other such thing the head maid deemed unfit for a maid to do. Before long, Lili’s spirit was broken. She was brainwashed, more or less, into mindlessly obeying every command given to her and completing it without fail. While her friends at school picked up on Lili’s change in personality, they were no less greedy than the Chevalier family. Being a private school, which is typically only attended by those of such power and wealth to rival the Chevaliers, the classmates Lili began to befriend were very much the spoiled children that such wealth tends to bear. As such, when they discovered that Lili had become obedient to a fault, instead of protesting, they took advantage of the situation. They could ask her for anything, and without fail she would strive to complete it. Of course, with this type of obedience, comes a consequence. Namely: Tasks that are unable to be complete by normal means. One such example came a few months before Lili’s departure from this world to that of Elder Tale. A classmate that Lili had “befriended” (perhaps true at one point, the term “friend” is rather foreign for Lili in her current state) was complaining about her dislike for their professor and (perhaps merely asking for the sole purpose of posing a problem Lili couldn’t complete) requested that Lili find a way to get rid of the teacher. That is, to find a way to get a replacement for the professor that the girl didn’t like. Without fail, Lili immediately accepted the request. However, what happened next was not what anyone would have expected. Lili was distraught. She spent days on end using every bit of free time she could find trying to come up with a solution. There was nothing she could do that would get the teacher to leave. She had considered poisoning him, but making him ill would only be a temporary solution. It wouldn’t solve the problem her “friend” had posed. A good maid does what she’s told. She completes every request. That is what a good maid does. This thought ate at her. Day by day, her thoughts grew heavy and she became more and more erratic in behavior. This was not something she could do so easily. Until a solution came to her. Making the professor ill is one thing, but killing him might work… A mind pushed to the point of exhaustion, fueled by the adrenaline that came with her intense desire to please those around her pushed her to the brink, and she did the unthinkable. It was easy, really. Surprisingly so. Stealing a gun from the Chevalier household, she took it with her to school. And in the midst of her class, she stood, raised the weapon and fired. Needless to say, her attempt failed. She did nothing more than seriously wound the teacher. But she found herself quickly admitted into a psychiatric ward for evaluation. Months past, but without showing any signs of insanity, the ward had nothing to do but release her. After all, she had obeyed their every command to the tee. They saw nothing wrong with her. Emotional stress, perhaps, but nothing more. With medication prescribed, she was sent back home to live with her family again. Their daughter (now a young woman) was a mess. The Delacroix family decided for the time being it would be best if she could rest and relax. Perhaps something to take her mind off the stress would help? Having recently been given a copy of a very popular game at the time, Elder Tale, as well as a means by which to play it, they offered it to their daughter in the hopes that a relaxing distraction would calm their daughter down and (hopefully) bring back her true self. That was the last time she saw them. She was whisked away into the world of Elder Tale, and thus her story began. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] While the majority of the dangerous side to her personality has waned (with help from the medication and her stent in the ward) she still is stuck with the obedience issue and the skewed belief that if she doesn't complete a request, she is a failure (which causes her to go into panic attacks at times). |
