[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]FALFURA [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Kikkawa, Kaorin [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: Nineteen [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Bisexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: engyou, SOUTEN NO KANATA [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Falfura [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] x From head to toe Falfura is a handsome male avatar in the world of Elder Tale. Though the first thing one might notice is that he has an odd hair color for a man, his hair being a pale pink in color. His hair is styled in a sort of spiky, medium length hair style that in the real world would require a lot of maintenance. Falfura has red eyes that are of the deepest crimson color and often wears an eye patch over his left eye. Often his expression is that of a scowl, he never outwardly appears to be in a good mood and his expression never truly reflects how he is currently feeling. Falfura's stare is quite intense and shows that he is not willing to back down from a challenge. Falfura is a rather average height standing at about 5'10". His body, as most of the avatars do, appears to be in peak fighting shape. He has a sort of medium athletic build and a rather fair skin tone as if he never really went out into the sun much. He has a rather casual stance as if he is relaxed when outside of combat and often tends to carry himself with an air of command when he walks, showing that he is one to take charge of a situation. Outside of the game, however, Kaorin is only 5'7" and a rather lithe person. She has long blonde hair and a rather dead expression on her face at all times. Her eyes are a bright ocean blue and she also shares the same pale complexion that her avatar has. She wears her hair up in a high ponytail at all times and tends to carry herself like a tomboy, her walk is more akin to a mans than a woman's. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Falfura portrays a very calm and collected personality to those around him. He never seems to be bothered by much, never seems to get discouraged by failure, and is often encouraging to those around him by acting in such a way. He has a natural charisma about him that makes him a natural born leader. Often he finds himself taking command of a situation and leading the charge to victory as tactics are his strong suit. It is obvious by the way that he is able to micro manage his party that his real self was definitely into the real time strategy genre. Although he seems to be calm he is also quite stubborn. When he has made up his mind there is nothing that can change his mind except for failure. Because of this he has often butted heads with other party members who disagree with his assessment of a situation. On top of his stubborn nature he is also quite blunt, saying whatever he thinks or feels at any given time. He often speaks plainly and wishes that others would do the same with him. Kaorin, Falura's player, is quite fond of acting so he always seems to be in character as a Samurai Warrior who seeks to protect those who cannot protect themselves. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]From very early on in her childhood Kaorin has always been withdrawn from reality. She had very few friends in school and didn't care much to go outside to play with the kids around where she lived. Instead she sat inside all day playing board games with her father, much more interested in the worlds and competition she found in them. Even at the young age of ten years old she was a pretty decent Shogi player, showing tactical prowess that was above average for someone her age. For some reason games like this simply clicked with her. Home life was not so bad for her, but in school she was often picked on for being herself. Eventually she would discover a whole new way to lose herself and push reality out of her mind; video games. The first time she played an RTS game she was hooked. This was her window into gaming and the thing that would push her to explore the worlds that developers were able to put out there for people like her. For years she would play RTS games before she discovered the world of RPG's and then eventually MMO's. Yet no other game drew her in like Elder Tale did when she finally discovered it. Many years after it's launch she discovered the game, yet it held the same magic for her as it did for those who had been playing since launch. In this new world she would find that there were fewer people who picked on her for being smart. In fact she found many people who embraced it and made her a part of their team. A game where her tactical prowess would be a blessing and not hinder her social interactions with others. Creating her first avatar in game she was absolutely astounded with the vibrant world the game projected. Yet she did not get to experience much before the apocalypse took hold of the players psyche and transported them into the game. Unlike the others around her though she was not afraid, nor did she question it much. As far as she was concerned this was better than reality and so the beginning of her journey in Elder Tale would begin; a happy day for someone like her. Starts or resets the current Chain. Does nothing if the opponent targeted the player with a magic attack. This ace move follows after the basic concept of Parry, except that it is used in an aggressive manner to build up momentum. The user predicts an oncoming attack and counters it by striking the opponent's weapon with their weapon and then pushing onward into an attack of their own. Gonosen is typically performed with a melee weapon, but its concept can also be used to deflect an opponent's arrow by shooting it off-course. To deflect ranged attacks in this manner, the Samurai must obviously be equipped with a bow. This skill has an animation time of 0.5 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Ace Move - Shunsen: Chain 2. Usable after Chain 1 skills. Shunsen is a quick and sudden horizontal slash that cuts the air and forms a cutting wave vacuum which deals additional damage. Unlike Izunagiri, this pressure field is stationary and essentially serves as a deterrent to opponents' melee attacks for the duration of the technique. This technique has a fan-shaped area of effect, making it an excellent technique to dispatch enemies standing in close proximity. This skill's attribute is wind, has an animation time of 1 second and a cooldown of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Ace Move - Samurai's Challenge: Chain 1. When used, resets any current Chain to 0. If an opponent performed an attack on you between this turn and your next turn, raise your Chain by 1. A move often used to start the battle. The Samurai issues a valiant taunt toward all enemies in the immediate area, challenging them to take up arms in a grand duel of honor. The animation of this skill is somewhat flashy and when it was a game, there were even videos of fandubs speculating what the samurai might have said. Needless to say, it carries on in this game too. After this skill is used, no other party members can be directly targeted for attacks until the beginning of your next turn. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Heatsink: Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. [attr="class","skill"]Evaluate: This skill allows the scholar to gain additional details about the enemy. While most players can access an interface that shows the monster's name, level, current HP, and current MP, the scholar obtains an additional interface when this skill is used. It has a one second cast time and one second cooldown time. The target's elemental weaknesses and a brief summary of their skills will be made available to the Scholar any time they access the target's interface.
