[attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]As a Ritual, Vee's skin has tattoo-like patterns below her left eye as well as down the right side of her torso. These designs not only cover her arm from hand to shoulder, but also stretches along her body to her back, ribcage, and to the hipbone of her lower abdomen. She is a rather petite individual and only rises to a towering hight of 5'3", whose weight is at a healthy level for someone of her small stature. For clothing Vee is usually seen in some sort of mage's robe or dress -- something easy to move in and not heavy, as she is no juggernaut. The gamer (Clara) on the other hand is 5'8" and prefers to wear more tomboy-ish clothes such as t-shirts and jeans. People usually describe Clara's real body shape as either slim or even borderline androgynous more so than anything else. Clara's favorite color is purple which led her to design her toon based off a specific theme, which includes purple hair and eyes, as well as the name "U.V." (Ultra Violet). This is a stark contrast to reality as the gamer's actual hair is a lighter brown color and cut short just below the shoulders. When in a crowd Vee gives off a soothing and laid-back demeanor, not an intimidating one. Of course, if she ever intends otherwise, her sharp and unwavering gaze can pierce even the most confident of players. However, with the usual friendly smile spread across her lips and her general non-threatening appearance, it's hard to approach Vee in any other way besides in pleasant greeting. While the enchantress' attire changes with the upgrades she buys, she is always seen with her maroon scarf; it possibly having some sort of sentimental value to her. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Long hair, optimistic, feminine, eager, whimsical, Vee was generated to become nearly everything Clara wasn't, except for the one thing both identities lacked in either worlds: charisma. Unfortunately one can't generate natural charisma -especially in an interactive MMO- with the throw of a dice, so Clara decided to build upon that irony by selecting Courtesan as Vee's subclass. She finds it a running joke that her character is able to indubitably woo and pacify People of the Land by using awful pick-up lines or uncoordinated dances just because the "Allure" skill allows her too. Of course, despite creating an identity that is the exact opposite of the brooding, introvert type, Clara kept Vee's extroverted personality in check as even she wouldn't be able to stand having an overly obnoxious character. Clara and Vee do share a certain number of like qualities such as patience, friendliness, and determination, though for the most part Vee was created by Clara to act as an escape from the world of reality, thus intended as a "silly" character. Clara never did like to take herself seriously in MMOs since she felt that it sucked the fun out of the game. She would much rather involve herself in PvE treasure hunting or random shenanigans at a bar rather than competitive PvP. But now having been stuck in this new body due to the Novasphere Pioneer fiasco, Clara is starting to believe that creating such a drastic foil of herself might not have been such a good idea. Occasionally she can't help but break character if circumstances demands such, revealing herself as far more analytical and unforgiving than what she initially lets on. At her best, Vee is nurturing and supportive. At her worst, she is manipulative and treacherous. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Clara was born in Lyon, France and moved London with her family when she was 14. She has a 12 year old brother and a family German Shepard named Beau. After her parent's divorce she chose to reside with her mother, brother, and dog in London since that was where she planned to attend university. Before being trapped in the world of Elder Tale, Clara was a student with the dream of pursuing a pharmaceutical career. It was during schooling that she met her best friend and future flatmate who introduced her to the wonderful world of MMOs. The two would often game as a pair, creating characters that complimented each other. As he liked to play "tank" more, her less aggressive style of gameplay comfortably fell into the role of "support". Unlike a majority of other people she had the opportunity to play online with, Clara never had that second-nature-for-video-games talent. Give her a new game, and she'd be awful at it until she practiced. But that lack of natural talent never stopped her from enjoying herself, and she eventually became able to hold her own in an otherwise competitive field. It's fairly certain that if there was such a thing, she would have been awarded an Elder Tale medal for having the most deaths upon initial character creation. Clara found the culprit mostly being her clumsiness with the hotkeys or the inevitable internet lag. With a character as squishy as Vee, any kind of hotkey "typo" meant certain death. Fortunately now, with the forced integration of mind and game, she dies a lot less often. The higher a target's wisdom stat, the higher their chances of resistance. It has a fairly low cooldown time for its effect, making it a very useful spell to be used for incapacitating an opponent. This skill's debuff classification is Sleep. [attr="class","skill"]Class - Mind Shock: A spell that launches a single orb to cause minor damage and disorientation on nearby opponents. While under the effect of this spell, the side-directional movements of an opponent are reversed - attempting to jump to the right causes the body to jump to the left instead. Because of this, targets have their accuracy and evasion partially compromised. Mind Shock's cooldown time is three minutes, making it a usually one-time spell in most battle situations. This skill's debuff classification is Mind. [attr="class","skill"]Subclass - Allure: A toggle skill that can be used anytime in a conversation with People of the Land. It allows the Courtesan to smooth over any mistakes and retain the target's attention. Often, this skill can also be used to obtain information that would otherwise require long interrogation. Allure's effect scales with the Courtesan's subclass level, becoming more effective at higher levels. [attr="class","skill"]Craft - Heatsink: Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Cloth Armor: A basic set of cloth armor made from cheap fabric. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. It is typically used to channel magic, but can also be used to whack people on the side of the head. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can.
