"Ken, do you know how to find your own path?"
"No, Dad."
"Just keep living what you want. Don't be tempted by evil actions, help others in need, and the most important of all: trust yourself."
That's what his father used to say to him everyday. However, since his parents' car accident, he never hear that same words to his step-parents again. Instead, they often scolded him for his bad grades, telling him to focus on his studies more if he wants to gain their trust on running their finance business one day. But Kenneth didn't want that, he just want to help others and find his path when he grows up. And even he moved on and keep his father's words to face reality, Ken felt like he was trapped; not able to make friends due to his step-parents' belief that they are distracting to him, having his video games confiscated, and even forced him on a strict tutoring, which he can't even understand one word from his tutor. And today, when he saw not only more of his games and consoles are confiscated, but also his sketchbooks, the only mementos from his biological parents, too. Needless to say, he can't take any more of this. He stared at the computer screen showing the game patcher, wishing that he wants to leave this prison of pressure. He wanted to find his own path no matter what. And the next thing he knew, he passed out.
Opening his eyes after that, he noticed that he's not in front of his computer monitor, but a city that looks like London, only it's covered is moss, weeds, and trees. In fact, many plants are growing around the buildings. Also, right in front of him are people wearing some kind of armors and wielding weapons somehow waking up, who are horrified at where they are and excited at what happened to them. "Wait, weapons and armors?!" Before he can look at himself, Ken noticed he is hold a scythe and a purple scarf on his neck. He also noticed that he's wearing black shirt, purple vest, black boots, and armor on his shins and his arms underneath his bronze gloves. And seeing his aqua messy hair through the puddle, Ken made one answer to all of this: He's in the world of Elder Tale as his new avatar, Eniko.
"N-No way... I-I'm in the world of Elder Tale?!" He was so shocked at this revelation, that he can't make out the words that he said. "This online game... dragged me here?! No way! I won't believe this!" As he collapsed on the ground, his mind started to clouded with thoughts. How did this happen? How can he get back to his own world? How will he survive in this new world? Nevertheless, he felt like he's conflicted about his situation, looking like his prison is starting to close in on him. However, these words start to buzz into his mind.
"When your whole life changed, don't ignore it. Just face reality and move on."
"Face... reality?" Those words from his Dad caused his conflicted thoughts to disappear as more words in his mind start to uplift his spirits.
"Just keep living what you want. Don't be tempted by evil actions, help others in need, and the most important of all: trust yourself."
"Keep...living?"
Now confident thanks to the memories of his parents, he stands up, gripping his scythe in determination as he looks onto the sky. "You're right, Dad. I don't know how to get out of here, but I can't ignore all of this. This is my chance to make a new start and find my path no matter what!" Shouting these words in determination, he puts his scythe in his holster on his back as he wanders around the city, hoping to find a way to start his new life in this world, showing his cold expression on his face while secretly curious on what to do in his new reality. "Mom, Dad, I promise I won't forget you. I will keep drawing for you, guys. And I will not ignore this reality. I will survive in this new world."
