It took 5 hours to find the exit, but he managed to find it. Gasping his breath in exhaustion, he rested next to the tree before he moved on. "So this is... Windsor Greatwood, huh?" Seeing the forest around the main road, he felt he's already in a RPG game already. He then walked into the forest, he became awed in shock, seeing how beautiful it is upon walking through the trees. However, he stopped walking upon spotting some kind of creature. A dull green slime wandering around in a curious manner. "A slime creature? That's gotta be a monster." Pulling out his Starter Scythe on his back, Eniko prepared himself to attack it. But...
"Wait, how can I even attack? Maybe..." He then pressed his fingers on mid-air again, beckoning the menu again as he "clicked" to the skill menu and "clicks" on the skill. "Here goes... Uh, Quick Draw!" All of the sudden, he felt that he's gripping his scythe very tightly and stares at the slime very closely, like he's locking on his eyes on it. And before he can even ask, Eniko dashed over the slime and slashed it with his scythe. This makes him very shocked at what he did. "Whoa, did I do that?! Weird, clicking that skill somehow caused my body to go on auto-pilot." He then saw the slime somehow standing up (which he couldn't tell due to being a slime and all), causing him to assume his battle position again. However, he noticed his skill menu that the Quick Draw skill is now covered with some kind of 15 second timer counting down, but he was no stranger to that. "So I need to wait 15 seconds before I use it again, huh? Well, I maybe new in this type of game, but I'm no stranger to RPG gameplay like cooldowns." He then decided to attack it without skills this time, trying to slash it once again with his scythe. In his memory, the first video games he played is the .hack GU series, which contains a main character wielding a scythe in a later game, too. Using that knowledge, he tries to copy the moves of that character in his head, slashing it to bits. Although he missed several times, the last attack managed to hit the slime, which it somehow exploded in items and gold, much to his shock as he collapsed on the ground. "Wow..."
Picking up his items, he looks around the forest, wondering what his step-parents are doing right now back in the old world. However, he snapped out of that thought, seeing that thinking about them might pop up some bad memories after his parents died when he was 5 years old. For years, he was forced into a strict tutoring, not letting him having friends, and being scolded for his bad grades a lot. All for forcing him to take over the finance business he doesn't want. But after arriving in this new reality, he felt those bad times are gone now. "I don't how can I go home, but I won't go back to those harsh times again. Yet..." Upon thinking what he said, he wondered if his biological father might be mad at what he said. He decided to take back what he said and keep going. "Sorry about saying that out loud, Dad. But I hope I can survive in this new world." With that said, he moved on to hunt some more monsters.

Despite being a few minutes of walking, Eniko didn't stop staring at the trees in awe. He once saw a forest artwork in a museum once, but never the real deal. He felt that not only this sets the sword and sorcery world more, but he felt he can get out of both his room and the city once. Also, he also like to walk around even for long, because if he stayed in his room any longer, he get even more depressed. But now that he's in this new world, he can walk around all he want without worrying about his step-parents scolding him. After one hour of walking, Eniko rested on the shaded part of the tree, resting his legs for a while. He then looks at his Starter Scythe in awe, seeing that he's lucky to have this. Upon playing some RPG games, he noticed that their scythes in them are too expensive or rare to get them. But in Elder Tale when he was creating his character, he felt he wanted this scythe as his first weapon in the game. But upon using it, he wondered that how will he get a stronger version of it. More importantly, how can he buy new weapons like a knife, dagger, or a sword in here? "Speaking of which, I can't believe I can carry this without a problem. It felt lighter when I'm holding it. Maybe it's because of my new body?"
Back in his world, he is not very strong in carrying heavy stuff. Not that he's just 12 years old, but because he felt that he's not a strong-man type. Because of that, he choose the Assassin class because they are not only focused on striking opponents with more damage, but they are also really fast. A perfect class for him because he's also fast, too. After wandering his thoughts on his character, he stands up to start practicing on using his scythe. He then makes a few moves with it, spinning it like a spear. Then he makes a few swipes with the scythe's blade, imagining that he's slashing his opponents with quick strikes. "As a Assassin, I have to be fast in not only striking my opponents down, but to dodge them, too. If I don't, I might get killed easily."
Strike after strike, he tried to get faster and faster with his scythe. And two hours later, he lied down on the ground in exhaustion. He never felt this tired before, the only time he was tired from is from his tutoring. And unlike before, he never felt so alive like that. As he laid down on the ground for a few minutes, he noticed another slime behind the bushes before it slithers away. Seeing the slime not far away from him, he decides to give another go this time. Wielding his scythe tightly, he once again pulls out his skills menu. "The last attack go off without any hitch, so let's try this again." He then strikes the slime very fast, weakening it before he "clicked" the skill again, ready to fight the next slime. "Quick Draw!" As the same thing happened before, he was suddenly gripping his scythe tightly and lock his eyes onto the slime before he dashed in to slash it. However, he quickly missed the slime, causing him to lunged onto a nearby bush. "Ow... I didn't know I can also feel pain in this world, too." But before he can react, the slime attacked him by slapping him. The acid on it's body caused his skin to burn on contact, which he screamed in pain.
"Drat! Even though it's weak like me, it's no pushover. But why did my skill missed?" While he wondered, he was too late to noticed the ooze from the slime hits on his chest, injuring him a little more. "Why you!" A little enraged at the slime, he dashed onto the slime, delivering quick slashes onto it. The slime tries to slap him again, but he dodged it very quickly. "I'm not letting you hit me like that again!" Then still enraged, he gripped his scythe tightly, locking his gaze onto the slime in anger.
"Quick Draw!"
With a quick slash from his scythe, the slime quickly went down before exploding into items as Eniko pants in exhaustion. However, by the time he recovered from his rage, his mind was clicked. How did he perform that move so quickly? He noticed his skill menu in front of his vision, seeing the 15 seconds timer again on the Quick Draw skill, noticing that he must have forgot to "click" it before he used it onto the slime. Yet, despite not "clicking" it, the skill was used anyway with his body somehow reacting upon shouting that skill. Eniko then wondered about his accidental discovery, what if he can use that style in his future battles? "I can't believe I can do that. Maybe there are some advantages in this new reality after all." Seeing this discovery, he grins at this, determined at mastering this style. However, noticing that he's still exhausted, he decided to stay on the ground for a few minutes to rest.

In a familiar classroom, a young boy is sitting on his desk, listening to other students chatting and laughing during conversations. He watches as he packed his textbooks, wondering if he can join in their conversations. He felt it looks interesting to join in, so why not? But as he tries to approach them, he quickly felt someone stopping him.
"Are you gonna ask them to be your friends? Then don't be stupid!" Noticing that voice was his stepfather, he turns around to see him and his stepmother, looking angry. "Only a fool with friends will weigh you down! They will only distract you on your studies! You need to be the best if you want to take over our company someday!"
But he didn't want to take over his step-parents' company, he wanted to have friends as he stared at his classmates. But...
"Are you trying to ignore your studies?!"
His stepmother quickly grabs his ear and drags him out of the classroom, which she and her husband ignore his crying pleas. Upon seeing the fading students, the boy cried in dismay, which his parents ignore them more and more. He felt that his world is crashing down. He felt he want his real parents back.
"I can't take this any longer! Mom, Dad, please come back! Please... I just... want to have..."
---
"Friends."
Opening his eyes, Eniko saw the sky is starting to darken. He must have took a nap after the battle. "I can't believe I napped until sunset..." Looking around, he noticed that he's still in the forests of Windsor Greatwood. He wondered that nobody's stalking him. He then picked up his scythe and puts it back into his back holster when he saw a boar walking behind the trees. Deciding that he can battle one more time before going back to the city, Eniko was about to ready his scythe, when he remembered something. "Wait, I've been battling single monsters lately. Maybe I should find two or three boars like it. Only how can I do that without noticing me? I can just stalk him, but my footsteps will make a sound." As he thought about how to find more boars, he remembered about the skill menu. Maybe he has some kind of Assassin skill to help him out? Upon opening the skill menu, he starts scrolling down some skills until he noticed one.
"Silent Move, a Level 1 Tracker Skill?" Hearing that name made him remember something from the game guide he read online. "Oh yeah, that's one of the subclasses I chose when I was creating my character. It was supposed to help me with stealth, right?" He then reads the description of the skill he found. "It says it can deadens my movements whenever traveling, preventing me from making any sound while walking. In exchange, my movement speed is reduced by 50%. So I can stalk that boar without any sound in exchange for 50% of my movement. Interesting..." He then looked at the boar, which is about to leave. "Let's give it a try."
"Clicking" the Silent Move skill, he starts to follow the boar without being seen. True to the skill, his movement starts to slow down, yet his footsteps doesn't make any sound. "So it's true, I can follow that boar no problem with this skill. Now to catch up with it." With a serious expression on his face, he then continues to follow the boar, trying to catch up while not being seen.

Despite not hearing any footsteps, Eniko felt that he hears it. He tries to follow the boar slowly and quietly, hopefully to find more of it on it's destination. "Although Silent Move slow down my movement, I have to be careful not to be seen." Following the boar with discretion, he walked through the trees without tripping or bumping them. However, due to the skill's side-effects, he's having a hard time catching up to the boar. Step by step, he tries to stalk the boar with ease, however, he quickly stop in his tracks to see that he's getting deeper and deeper into the woods. Learning from his gaming experiences, he will meet tougher monsters in the deeper parts of forests and dungeons. And since he's still Level 1, he has a high chance to get killed."Great, one more step and I'm stepping into a danger zone. I have no choice but to back away for now."
After backing away, he realized that he might lose the boar when he saw it running, he starts chasing it while not giving his presence. "Man, being stealthy isn't as easy as it looks. No matter, I still need to master this." A few minutes later, Eniko was still following the boar when he noticed that it's getting dark."It's almost nighttime. Maybe I can sneak onto the boar more easily. On the other hand, I would get lost too easily." Seeing that safety is his first priority, he had no choice after this."Then again, I don't want to be killed..."
However, he suddenly hears some kind of hissing behind him. Turning around, he was completely shocked in horror as he saw a flytrap-like plant monster not far away from his location. Stopping from where he is, he sees the name of the monster and it's level."Nepent Snatcher... LEVEL 7?! One of my classmates mentioned about it once when I was asking him about Elder Tale's monsters. It can detect anyone with vibrations despite it has no eyes. One move and I'm dead!" As the plant monster is wandering around, Eniko tries to stay still, not moving a single inch to prevent it to know his presence. "Don't move, Eniko! I'm begging myself to not move a single inch!" It was really tough for him to froze in one place. Despite still using Silent Move, he still need to prevent moving so the Nepent Snatcher to see him. And as after seconds go by, the flytrap plant monster left in the darkness. When it did, Eniko quickly ran into other direction and fell down in exhaustion as he's in another part of the forest, but not far away from the entrance of the city.
"I thought... I was really dead..." He panted in relief, seeing that he was able to escape from that tricky situation. However, it was a total loss as he's not only lost the boar he's following, but his Silent Move state disappeared. "Great, so much for my boar hunt..." However, upon hearing some pig-like snorts, he stands up to see another boar, which it left and run into the trees, where he hears more snorting. "Thank goodness there's still luck for me." He then stands up and readies his scythe to prepare himself before tapping the skill on his skill menu. "Silent Move!" Activating his skill once again, he slowly follows the boar, hopefully where those snorts and some more boars came from.

Quietly following the boar, Eniko found two boars wandering around with the boar that he was following joined them. "I knew it, three Young Pittered Boars." He then take a closer look on the boars' HP bars. "Three of them are Level 1. Good, if they are higher level, I'll be in big trouble." Gripping his scythe which it's still holstered on his back, he focused his gaze on the boars only. "Luckily, I'm still hidden. Nice time to train my sneak attacks. That style worked the first time, so..."
With his eyes still set on one of the boars, he quickly make a quick dash to it. "Quick Draw!" Pulling out his scythe from his holster, he quickly make one quick slash to the boar. "15 seconds cooldown. Need to strike those boars before they leave." He then quickly make two slashes to the boars, causing them and the first boar to get agitated. "Now I've got your attention, how about a little battle?" With him now preparing to make a next strike, Eniko sees the boars now charging onto him, which he quickly dodged them and then make a flick-like slash to one of the boars with his scythe. However, one of the boars quickly tackled him from behind. "Ow! They may be weak, but they have some attitude." He then saw the timer on his skill menu disappears, which he grins in determination as he makes a next attack. He first dashed to one of the boars, quickly finished it off with his scythe's slash, causing the boar to explode into gold and items. He then quickly glared another boar as he grips his scythe tightly. "Quick Draw!" Dashing onto the boar, he tries to strike it, but he was quickly interrupted with a tackle on his stomach. "Why you-!"
Enraged, he makes multiple slashes to the boar, which it was defeated when he sliced it in half. Panting in exhaustion, he then saw the last boar, which he then makes a serious expression on his face. "Now it's your turn." He then raised his scythe and run towards to the boar, screaming in anger. Upon making more slashes onto the boar, it continues to tackle Eniko several times, but he quickly stood up after his fall and continues to attack it, despite most of them missed it. As the boar prepares to tackle again, Eniko grips his scythe once again. "Oh no you don't! QUICK DRAW!!!"
Shouting out his skill, he quickly slashed the boar as he fell on his knees after that. Silence fills the air for a few seconds...
Until the boar quickly exploded in items and gold, securing Eniko's victory. "I... did it..." He fell down on the ground from exhaustion once again, panting as he looks at the now night time sky for a few seconds. "This new world is going to be harder to survive. But, I can manage. Right, Mom and Dad?" Standing up, he puts his scythe back onto his holster and makes his way back to the city, which he was luckily found the lights not far away from where he is. As he walks back his new home, Eniko starts to think about this new life. "I can't believe I might do this everyday. But at least I got away from tutoring for now."
Seeing how his new life is gonna be, he felt this might be tough, but exciting.
