[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Emmerich [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Fredrick Ames [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 24 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Male Hoplite, Etrian Odyssey [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Emmerich [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Typical of the guardian class, he has a tall and muscular stature; He stands at six feet and four inches. He, like himself in real life, has the appearance of a man in his mid-twenties. He has wild flowing locks of brown hair, that is just short enough to not go past his shoulders. His has tanned skin. His eyebrows are mid-length with sharp edges, and his eyes are a bright blue, usually expressive due to how energetic he is. His jaw is squared, with a noticeable clef in the middle; If one were to get close, they can see some stubble. His plate armor has both bronze and iron plates. The bronze plating of his armor consists of the upper section of his pauldrons, and the frontal section of his cuirass. The iron plating of his armor, also consists of the lower sections of his pauldrons, his inner sections and back of his cuirass, his gauntlets, his cuisses and greaves. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Emmerich is an adventurer at heart. He loves exploring new things, new concepts and new idea. He finds it stimulating for his mind, especially when in the company of others. He's very energetic in conversations. He can be very observant of others' emotions and intentions; He can pick up their little vague hints of their state of mind, through their body language and tone of voice. He can use this to his advantage, or to give emotional support and practical advice. He's a man who lives by his own rules, as well as in the moment. He sees rules as vague guidelines, and not absolute. He doesn't like staying in one place for too long, for when he lacks stimulation, he becomes fidgety; Routine tasks to him are a great evil. While he can plan and think logically, he prefers to improvise and make quick decisions, and even then he thinks logically when executing them. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Fredrick was born in North America, in Texas. His father was a plumber and his mother was a school teacher. While growing up, his mother pushed him to become more educated than his peers. But Fredrick would rather play around and spent time with his peers than with studying. Despite that, he still earned good to decent grades in school, though that didn't satisfy his mother, it more than did with his father. While his mother was critical of his grades, even though they were passing grades, his father was always there to congratulate him and even rewarded him ice cream for the A's. Fredrick was closer to his father than he was with his mother. His father would share with him tales from his workplace. The one Fredrick remembered most of all was the time his father found a still living pet turtle, in the plumbing of a house. One day Fredrick asked, his father why'd he became a plumber. His father told Fredrick that trade jobs allow a lot of freedom and flexibility. He then when on to say, "If I could start all over again, I'd be a welder." Fredrick then repiled, "I'll become one, dad." While his mother wasn't on board with the idea, she did try to be supportive to him. Fredrick finished his training and became certified at age eighteen. He'd spend the next six years traveling around country, working as a freelance welder. It was hard work, but he had a lot of freedom. After work, and on days off, he would play online games. One he played the most of was Elder Tale. In the game he was a level forty-two swashbuckler. One day, he decided expand on his freelance business, on a whim, to travel to Great Britain. "It'd be a nice change of scenery." he thought. A month later, he was flying over to Great Britain. Once there, he would buy a one bedroom apartment. He didn't mind that it wasn't that roomy, he had an kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and that was all he needed. He unpacked his things, and in the middle of un packing, he found his computer, and that was when he decided to take a gaming break; Good thing he called to have them set up his internet. He quickly assembled his computer on his desk, and began to play elder tale. But, he'd soon discovered that he can no longer play on the north american server. Instead, there was only one server option available, the Britain server. So, not wanting to give up, he decided, to heck with it, and when to the character creation screen. He played as a swashbuckler the last time, might as well try something new. He'd spend a half hour creating his guardian's features. Finished with his design, he drags the cursor over to the the start button; and with that, his game begun. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"]

The Guardian provokes a single opponent and draws their attention. Because of this basic utility, it is a very simple skill mostly used by beginners. Of course, if there's only one opponent, why waste your time when you can stick with this classic? This skill has an animation time of 0.5 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Aura Saber | Main Class Swings the weapon around the user's body in a faint aura, then crashes it down upon the enemy. Multiple enemies can be struck by this attack by they are adjacent to the target. This skill increases targets' aggro on the user more than that of a regular attack. If this skill is used by Monks, the user will deliver an aura-enhanced swinging punch that delivers the same effects. This skill has an animation time of 0.25 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Hammer Beat | Main Class A skill that raises the shield or two-handed weapon over the Guardian's body, then crashes it down upon the enemy with a loud sound effect. If a monster struck by this attack is lower-leveled than the Guardian, it is almost guaranteed to shift aggro upon the Guardian. This skill has an animation time of 0.75 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Cool Defense | Main Class Toggle skill; the Guardian taps into their mana and creates an additional line of defense between them and the opponent's attacks. For every blow that the target lands on the guardian, a small amount will be nullified. This defense is made all the more apparent when it comes to weak multiple-strike attacks. The Guardian's MP is slowly sapped as this skill remains active. [attr="class","skill"]Anchor Howl | Main Class A loud soundwave is generated from the Guardian's position. This causes movement speed away from the Guardian to lower the farther away a user is. As a result, some might attempt to make a run for it by either dashing or jumping. These two actions trigger the second part of this skill, which delivers a heavy counter to punish a retreating foe. It effectively serves as a way to maintain the enemy's attention on the Guardian. This skill has an animation time of 3 seconds, maximum duration of 10 seconds, and a cooldown of 30 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Spear Break | Main Class An attack dealt by thrusting forward a 2-handed weapon. The momentum of the attack is focused upon shoving the target, so this skill deals little damage but boasts a good amount of knockback potential. Use it strategically to knock an opponent down a large drop to deal fall damage. This skill has an animation time of 2.5 seconds and a cooldown of 7 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Counter Break | Main Class Every force has an equal and opposite reaction. When attacked, the two options are usually to move out of the way or brace and block the attack somehow. However, some choose a third unusual option which is to face the attack head on with a display of power of your own. By literally attacking an attack with an attack, you not only mess up the collision point but you negate most of your opponent’s power using your own kinetic energy. Also, if you surpass your opponent in power sufficiently, it is possible to break apart the opponent’s attack so significantly that you can chain it into an attack of your own. This skill can only be used as a counterattack against skills with an animation time of 2 seconds or more. Counter Break has a cooldown of 30 seconds. - Any Tier I main class skill [attr="class","skill"]Resilience | Guardian Skill: [Tier I Skill] A passive ability of the Guardian. Due to their highly defensive class role, their HP regenerates faster outside of battle compared to other classes. Additionally, they regenerate a small amount of HP within battle, every couple of seconds. This passive battle healing is not very high, but it might prove to save one's life in the long run. [attr="class","skill"]Covering | Guardian Skill: [Tier I Skill] Despite the Guardian's bulky appearance, their agility in the midst of battle can sometimes be very surprising. When an ally is about to be targeted by an attack, this skill allows the Guardian to switch places with the target and take the force of the attack. Obviously, as good as the Guardian's reflexes may be, this requires that the ally be in very close proximity with the Guardian. This skill has an animation time of 1 second and a cooldown of 15 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Heatsink: [Crafting] Level 1 Skill Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. [attr="class","skill"]Battle Perception: [Subclass] Level 1 Skill Toggle skill. Battle perception allows the Pathfinder to notice nearby monsters more easily by displaying their names and levels above their heads. It allows the Pathfinder to detect monsters about 3 meters further than a normal character, and is most useful for preventing ambushes. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Armor of Greenwich by 黒: Level 10. The armor of the knight. The heavy cavalry favors this armor for it's thickness and protection. It's stern steel plating scoffs at superficial attacks. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Empty [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Svärdstav (Swordstaff) by 黒: Level 10. A polearm made by attaching a blade at the end of a staff, thus giving the same benefits of a sword with the range of a spear or polearm. It has is a curved cross-guard where the blade and staff meet. Because of the blade's length (90cm/35in), this polearm can be used just as effectively in close combat as mid-ranged combat. The total length of the weapon (blade+staff) is 250cm/98in. Starter Great Shield: A starter great shield designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t really feel too sturdy. Its distinctively huge size allows for good protection if somewhat unwieldy. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. Starter Platemail: A basic set of plate armor made from cheap iron. They are not really too protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. 5 x Medicinal Formula L20: A basic healing potion that restores about 500 HP. At low levels, this amount is essentially a player's entire amount, but higher level players will require a few in order to heal back to full HP. It has a toxicity rating of 0. After a player drinks potions with a total toxicity rating of 20, any potions taken afterward become halved in effect. Therapeutic Index applied. Medicinal Tablet L20: A healing pill that restores about 750 HP. It is generally considered more convenient than drinking a formula due to the player only needing to swallow or chew the tablet. It has a toxicity rating of 1. After a player drinks potions with a total toxicity rating of 20, any potions taken afterward become halved in effect. Therapeutic Index applied. |
