Treasure Ahoy! [Event/Solo]

Eniko yawned in dismay, he felt he was lost in Thames Coastline, but he's not. He spent an entire day to train himself and yet, he almost forgot about the rumors about the treasure. He felt very lazy when he woke up. "Great, this is what I get for training my skills without the interface overnight..." He then approached the waters of the nearby river he have rested, wondering how deep is the treasure gonna be. "Wow, I wonder how can I get the chest without any help." He can't remember the last thing he joined somebody who helped on getting the treasure chest, but he knew it's gonna be hard considering his age and the weight of his scythe.

"I would try carrying it with my scythe, but that would be too dangerous. I would make something to carry the chest, but I doubt a Scribe subclass can't make that." He then made some more ideas to carry them, but he felt all of them might fail as well. "I'm running out of options. Guess I just get it with my bare hands. However, I can only carry the chests back to the city via the inventory menu." He then prepared his blanket he brought with him by hanging onto a nearby tree branch and sheathed his scythe to prepare to dive into the river. "Here goes nothing!"

Screaming out of his lungs like yelling a battle cry, Eniko jumped into the river and quickly swam until the deeper part of the river. "All right, treasure chest, here I come!" With that said, he dived into the water, unknown of the dangers lurked underwater.

When he is now underwater, Eniko wasted no time to scan around the area for a treasure chest as he is aware that he can only hold his breath in a minute or so. As he moved around the water, he noticed that he's moving a little slow, which he didn't mind since he's underwater. "Nothing so far and no enemies in sight. Good thing because I'm worried about how it will affect the movement of my scythe." He then continued to swim around the water without losing his directions, hoping to find a treasure chest. However, he didn't find any a minute later when he was forced to leave underwater to get some air to avoid drowning.

"Hmm... I scanned around this area of water already, but no treasure anywhere..." He decided to swim another part of the river as he thought, "They ain't kidding about the treasure chests are hard to find." He then dived in again to scan around the area while swimming around checking to see what's behind the corals and rocks underneath the water. Unfortunately, he didn't found any chests as he was forced to go back to the surface once again as he lied down on the sandy ground. "Man, this is like find a needle in underwater with monsters running about." He then reassess his situation while trying to find another area that might have chest underneath the river.

"I don't get it. Did I not go deeper underwater? No way, I could have drown if I do. And even if I did, I don't have time to go back to the surface. Guess it's time to head to another area of the river, I guess." With that, he went to that said area and dived into the water to search for the treasure.

Underneath the river of Thames Coastline, Eniko have dived in and out of the water to search for the treasure chests under it, but he only returned from the land empty-handed. When he returned underwater again, Eniko tried his hardest to search the chests underneath. But again, he neither have any sights on the chest and anything shining beneath the waters. "I just dived in the 4th time today and still no treasure chests. All I can see is corals, rocks, fish-like people approaching me..."

"Wait, fish-like people?!" He quickly turned around to see fish-like creatures with legs are swimming towards him with their eyes glared at the 12 year old Assassin without any smile or worry on their faces. When Eniko took a closer look at their HP bars, he learned the names of those creatures and their level."Young Sahaugin. I see two of them and they are the same level as I am. But why are they angry at me?" He then looked around the area where he is now, which he saw a nearby cave behind him, which two more fish-like creatures got out of it and charged at Eniko. "If my guess is correct, I must have dove into their habitat! I need to get to the surface fast or I can't fight without getting more oxygen." He quickly tried to swim back to the surface, but a Sahaugin has blocked his path. "Like I have to deal with you without giving me an advantage so easily!" He quickly took hold of his sheathed scythe as he quickly "clicked" on a skill he added to his quickslot interface at the left of his vision. "Accel Dance!"

With a burst of speed as he entered into a state of mind where he felt nothing can stop him, he quickly attacked the monster blocking his path in a quick slash, despite his movements are slowed down due to him being under the river. Without any second thought, Eniko quickly swam until he reached the surface, gasping for air as he recovered his breathing. "In a few seconds, the Young Sahaugin will grab my legs to attack me. I just have to sacrifice little of my HP to counter them!" As he predicted, he was forced underwater again as the fish monsters grabbed his legs by biting them. Although Eniko tried to endure the pain, he can't help it but to scream, but if he did, he will drown. Instead, he quickly made a few slashes to the Sahaugin who are biting his legs with his scythe as he glared at them for hurting him. And despite his movement are slowed down since he was underwater, the fish hybrids didn't have time to block or counter Eniko's quick slashes. And when he saw the countdown on his Accel Dance skill on his quickslot, he didn't hesitated to "click" it again.

"Accel Dance!" Eniko quickly slashed the first Young Sahaugin with a burst of speed and with his speed regained to where he was slowed down underwater, he made a few more slashes to the monsters before he quickly glared at the fish hybrid monsters and tightened his grip onto his scythe, with a skill quickly thought aloud in his head. "Quick Draw!" Another burst of speed caused him to made a quick slash to the Sahaugin, which caused them to explode in gold and items. "I was hoping to sacrifice little of my HP, but not this much." He then goes back to the surface once again, but not before he grabbed the items and gold underwater.

He quickly gasped some air to recover his strength, but then looked underwater to see more Young Sahaugin swam to his direction. "No good. I can't recover and get back to land! Wait a second..." He took a closer look at one of the monsters and noticed something odd about it, which he knew since he attacked that Sahaugin first. "I managed to get a clean hit from it with Accel Dance, but why it's injuries are not there? More importantly, should it's HP drop a little bit after that attack?"

Realizing that they are getting closer, he felt he should run, yet he has no time to swim back to land. "No time, I just swim a little bit and get some air enough to battle one of these monsters." He then swam to his left as the Young Sahaugin continued to follow him.

Eniko continued to swim to not get away the Young Sahaugin, but to restore his strength to fight one of them again. Also, he needed to scan around the area for more monsters because if he do see them, he might have a chance to get killed and revived to the Cathedral, which he didn't want that. He then stopped swimming as he was near to land, much to his relief. But it's not enough to put him in ease as he turned around to focus his eyes on the fish hybrid monsters chasing him, which made him realized he needed to do something to get away from those monsters. Without any second thoughts, he dived into the river again, still glaring at the monsters as if he is aiming a target to shoot while gripping to his scythe tightly before he quickly thought, "Quick Draw!"

Ignored the movement delay when he is underwater once again, Eniko slashed one of the Sahaugin with his scythe again and with his movement is slowed down, he attacked the other one while tried to dodge it's bites. He knew he needed to use a skill now and then, but he wanted to challenge himself while escaped from the Sahaugin's vicious attacks. Before he can made anymore attacks, he realized he can't hold his breath anymore as he is lacked of air. Unfortunately, his realization made him distracted enough for the Sahaugin to attack him on his arm with it's bite, which caused him to drop his scythe. "Why you?!" Enraged, he made a quick punch to the monster who bitten him before he grabbed his scythe before it sank into the seafloor.

With his scythe recovered, Eniko managed to gone up to the surface again as he opened his interface to check his status while panting for air. "I've lost 20% of my HP and used 5% of my MP. At this rate, I might not able to survive this. But there's one thing that bothered me." He then dunked his head into the water to check on the approaching Young Sahaugin, remembered about what happened after he attacked the first one before he eliminated two of them. "Why didn't one of the Sahaugin's HP didn't drop? Plus, how did my attack didn't injured them one bit?"

When he took a closer look, Eniko became shocked at what he saw. The Sahaugin's injuries from his slashes have the skin cuts merged back together as if they are suturing them back together while their HP bars are slowly increased. "I see, they are restoring their health when I leave them alone for a minute." He then hold his breath again as he thought, "I think it's time to get serious and stop these fishes from biting me."

Dived into the river once again, Eniko charged onto the Sahaugin and started to make quick slashes onto one of them and with one click to his quickslot, he prepared himself to invoke his skill. "Accel Dance!" He then quickly slashed one of them in a burst of speed and with his movement are slowed down, he made last few strikes to it and another Sahaugin before they are exploded in items and gold, which he managed to caught them via inventory menu. And without any second thoughts, he swam back to the surface, where he managed to make it to land at last. When he turned his attention to the last one, which is about to bite him by jumping out of the river, he quickly slashed it multiple times with his scythe before he declared a final attack to the last monster.

"Quick Draw!" Glared at the monster and gripped his scythe tightly once again, he slashed it in a powerful attack onto the last Young Sahaugin. Thought that the monster is defeated, Eniko walked away from the river to rest whiling dried himself with the blanket on the ground until two minutes later, he saw the Sahaugin bit his leg. "Oh drat!" However, instead of it's HP bar increased, it didn't raised one HP from it's bar one bit and before he can wonder why, Eniko slashed the Sahaugin with his scythe, now had enough of these monsters' bites. "Looks like you can able to heal only in water. At least there's another fact down about these monsters."

Decided to take a nap before he returned underwater, Eniko lied down on the ground to rest.

After a few hours of napping, Eniko groggily woke up once again, who is still sore about the last battle. And despite his victory after he defeated those Young Sahaugin earlier, he was still not happy about it after he barely killed from those monster, not to mentioned that he didn't find any treasure chests yet. "Great, 6 hours have passed since I started this search and yet, I can't find a single chest anywhere under the sea. Man, if I don't find a chest before the end of the day, I'm going to scream!"

As he stood up from the sandy ground of the beach, he opened his status bar to check his HP and MP, since his last battle caused him to lose half of his health and mana. "90% HP and 85% MP... It will have to do." He then gone onto the water of the river and hold his breath before he dived into it to continue his search. He swam into the other parts of the sea to check for possible areas for a treasure chest. And after a few rounds of dived in and out of the river, he was still empty-handed. But when he dived into the sea for the fifth time, he noticed something shiny down between the rocks.

"No way! Could it be?"

He took a closer look at the rocks to see if it really is what he is looking for. When he did, he was surprised to see that there was really a chest between them. "Finally! I found a treasure chest!" When he approached the said chest, he became excited to open it. However, he quickly stopped as he was somehow paranoid as if there's something behind him. "Wait a minute, this seems too easy." Suspicious about no event has happened when he approached the chest, he scanned around the area to check for monsters. But so far, he didn't see any monsters in sight with Young Sahaugin included. "I don't see any monsters around here. But just in case, I have to tap my scythe on the chest."

He was no fool to treasure chest since he played a lot of RPG games involved with them. He knew that not only there are traps hidden inside the chests instead of treasure, but sometimes, a monster that looked like one tended to attack players whenever they tried to open them, thought that they are treasure chests. However, due to his experiences, Eniko is not that gullible to open it without figured out what's wrong first. He pulled out his scythe and tapped the chest with it's blade to see if there are no traps attached to it. When nothing happened, he decided to grabbed the chest in order to carry it back to the surface.

Before he can, he suddenly felt a sharp pain on his arm, like a shark bitten something on one of his legs or arms. He turned around to saw a treasure chest somehow came to life and bit his arm with it's now sharp teeth, when he tried to carry it. However, instead of shocked or horrified, Eniko only showed anger to the animated chest. "You know you shouldn't have done that." With his anger flared up like a burning house on fire, Eniko quickly slashed the chest off of his arm before he went up to the surface to get some more air. "All right, I know I want to escape after I encountered a living chest like in the games, but biting my arm has really crossed the line!"

He then dived into the river again to face off against the animated treasure chest as he gripped his scythe tightly while took a closer look at the chest monster's HP bar. "It's a Mimic and it's one level higher than me. Good enough for me!" He then raised his scythe to the Mimic without relaxed his grip, glaring at the chest monster in anger. "Quick Draw!" He slashed the Mimic with his scythe and a little burst of speed before he quickly made 3 slashes to it. After those attacks, the imitated chest monster quickly counterattacked as it bit Eniko's leg. However, he tried to shake it off at first, but when he saw his HP gone done when he did it, he angrily slashed it with his scythe, which the Mimic forced to let go of his leg.

Then, he "clicked" his skill on his quickslot once again as he thought, "Accel Dance!" A small burst of speed managed him to get a hit on the Mimic as he decided to do another skill. "Quick Draw!" Another burst of speed made him dashed to the monster once again, but he quickly missed. This made it's chance to try to attack back, but Eniko managed to dodge it and made 3 more attacks. Before he can attack it some more, he realized he can't breathed anymore as a minute had passed and his oxygen stored in his mouth has ran out. "Oh no! Need... to... go back..."

Realized he will be drowned if he can't make it back to the surface, he tried to swam back up while he tried to dodge the Mimic's bites. And despite he almost succumbed to it as his HP dropped, he managed to returned back to the surface. He quickly panted as he said, "I... really... need... to remember... to check the time once in a while." But before he can dive back into the river as he hold his breath once again, he was suddenly sunk into it, revealed that the Mimic got his legs again. "I don't think so! Quick Draw!" Gripped his scythe tightly with his gaze focused on the chest monster once again, he angrily made a quick slash to it before he punched it in anger in order to forced it to let go his legs, which he made another slash with his scythe after that.

Because of that attack, the Mimic's HP bar has depleted to zero as it exploded into gold and items just like the previous monsters. "Next time, I better bring a long stick on my next adventure in here." Eniko then returned back to the surface and then the beach to rest for a while.

Three hours have passed since Eniko's past battle with a Mimic, the Assassin became restless at his search for the treasure. Although his HP is restored by 85%, he groaned in dismay to the fact that he will never able to find a chest in time. "No matter where I go, I can't seem to find any treasure chest around the beach. Might as well pack up and leave for today." But before he did, he noticed something from afar from where he is, which he saw a man from afar. "What did I see just now? A monster?" He took his blanket and head straight to another area of the beach where he saw the shadowed figure. But when he arrived, he noticed that it was gone.

"Huh? Did I imagine what I saw? No, it couldn't be." He felt that there's something strange about that figure, but he shrugged it off as he felt it was only his paranoia emerged. However, when he saw the beach in front of him, he felt he wanted to dive in, but with his current condition and the time, he knew he needed to go home soon. Before he can, his path was block by a man with a fishing rod on his hand, which caused him to startled as he fell on the ground in shock. "Sorry about that, young man. Are you okay?" The man offered him to help him up, which Eniko complied as he stood up with the man's help. "Yeah, sorry about that."

"Why are you here so late, young man? Do you know it's dangerous for a child like you to stay here?" Eniko was already aware how late is it, but he can't lie his age. However, he is an Adventurer, which he may able to explain properly. "Actually, I'm an Adventurer who heard about treasure chests popping out underwater in here. Are you by any chance a Person of the Land?"

The man nodded as he tossed the line from his fishing rod and said, "Yes. My name is Jan by the way and I always visit here whenever I'm down. Usually, I'm only here to fish. Not just for the fishes, but if I might reel in some gold underneath it, there is a possibility that there is one hiding underwater. But, as with those foolish fisherman, their lives are lost for their attempts to try and find them due to those wretched monsters beneath it. But for me, I only visit here to fish. It is my favorite spot for fishing after all. Yet, with those rumors spreading around, all I'm getting are coins instead of fishes lately."

Coins?! Eniko was shocked at what the Lander said. However, he stopped to realized that it could be a monster drop. Yet, it never hurt for him to check it out. "Sorry for interrupting your fishing, Jan. But I need to check this out!"

Eniko hold his breath once and dove into the river, much to the Lander's shock. In underwater, he looked around the body of water as he continued to dived deeper. When he did, he finally saw something shiny, which could be a chest, but before he can express excitement or even take a closer look, he saw 4 Young Sahaugin guarded not only the chest, but also the cave near it. "Great, not them again!"

Realized he can't take them all immediately, he returned back to the surface in order to come up with a plan, with Jan approached the 11 year old Assassin in worry. "Are you okay? Did you got attacked by monsters?"

"Yes, but if I hadn't dove in to check the chest underneath the river, I couldn't able to stop those Young Sahaugin from grabbing your line and pull you into it." He knew Landers are just NPCs, but with this new reality, he can't helped if they became real or not. Regardless, Eniko felt that warning Jan was a good idea. "But I have an idea to not only stop those creatures and might save your life in your future visits in here. But it will involved me being back to full heath by now."

He knew waiting more might waste more time, but he needed full HP and MP to pull his plan off. Namely, to sneaked up to those monsters underwater and getting the treasure chest at the same time.

One hour later, Eniko prepared himself to go down underwater once again not just to grab the treasure chest, but to eliminate the Young Sahaugin for the Lander's safety. Remembering something from his last battle, he turned his focus to Jan and asked, "Do you have any old rods or sticks with you?" Confused, he took out some kind of an old rod with the wood somehow aged and damaged. "I got this. It's beyond repair and I was about to throw it away. What are you going to do with it?"

Jan gave the rod to Eniko as the latter answered, "I'm just gonna use this to see if that's the real treasure chest underneath the river." He then headed off to the river as he shouted to Jan. "Wish me luck!" He then hold his breath before he dived into the water while he hold his scythe tightly. As he swam into the ocean, he then quickly thought, "I know this might slow down my swimming more, but I hope this works underwater, too." He closed his eyes as if he cleared his mind, and when he opened his eyes a few seconds later, he quickly thought, "Silent Move!"

With the said skill activated, he was started to move slowly as usual in underwater as he swam behind the Young Sahaugin to get the chest. "Slowly, Eniko. One wrong move will cancel the skill." Moving slowly, he managed to reach to the treasure chest at last without the Sahaugin knew his presence. Upon he learned what happened earlier, he pulled out the old rod from Jan and tapped at the chest to see if it's a Mimic like last time. And when he tapped many times without attracting the monsters' attention, he grabbed the chest as he confirmed one thing. The chest is real. "Good, looks like I managed to find a real treasure chest this time. And since I don't want this chest to cancel my Silent Move skill..."

Without any second thought, he opened his interface and put the chest into his inventory. He then slowly swam back to the surface without attractted the Sahaugin and panted for air in order to return back under. However, he waved at Jan in order to tell him he's okay before reactivated Silent Move again through his skill menu and dived in again to head into battle. "I swear, that kid is something."

Back underwater in Thame Coastline's river, Eniko silently sneak behind one of the Young Sahaugin as he gripped his scythe very tightly while he stared at the monster as if it is his next target. And before the Sahaugin can noticed his scent, Eniko quickly raised his scythe as he thought, "Quick Draw!" With a quick flick of his scythe, he managed to hit the monster behind, which caused the other Sahaugin to saw Eniko and quickly charged on him. "All right, time for the real fight to begin!"

With the Young Sahaugin charged at the Assassin in anger, Eniko quickly swam to them and made multiple slashes at them, which the monsters' HP bar started to decrease while he noticed the levels on them. "Two of the Sahaugin are Level 5 while the other two are Level 4. It may looked easy, but I have to be vigilant or those fish monsters are going to bite my legs again." During his attacks, most of them are missed and dodged, but he managed to made a large damage to both of the Sahaugin. However, the other Sahaugin quickly bit his arm where he hold his scythe and when he noticed it and about to punch it, his other arm was quickly bitten by the other one with the others bit his legs. Horrified, he tried to escape from the Sahaugin by shook them loose, but to no avail.

As he tried to struggle free, he realized not only his HP is decreasing, but he was ran out of oxygen, much to his horror. "No... way... I will... lose... to the bunch of fishes!" Gripping his scythe tightly while enduring the pain, he decided to use his skill from quickslot interface, but this time, he didn't need to click it due to literally had his hands full. "Accel... DANCE!"

With the limits of his mind temporarily removed, he quickly shook the two Sahaugin on his arms in a fast pace before he used his free hand to punched both of them in anger. And with his arms freed, he focused his gaze on the other two Sahaugin and made two slashes to force them out of his legs, which allowed him to swim back to the surface. Gasping for air once again, Eniko tried to recover his strength. But his short rest was interrupted when Jan shouted to him, "Kid, look out!"

Eniko was too late to saw the jumped Sahaugin above him as it bit his head this time. "Grrr... GET OFF OF ME, YOU STUPID FISH!" Now completely enraged, he slashed the fish many times with his scythe until he shouted, "Quick Draw!" With a quick flick, the monster released its mouth as it exploded in items and gold coins, which freed Eniko's head. Jan became impressed at what he saw as he said, "You are really something..."

"I'm still not done yet! There are three monsters left under me! I need to finish the job!" Eniko said before he was pulled back underwater, much to the Lander's shock. However, Eniko was expected this as he saw two of the fish hybrids bit his legs once again, which caused him to slashed them in anger in order to remove them. He then made more slashes to the monsters with his scythe until he made a quick flick to defeat one of them and focused the other one very closely as he thought, "Quick Draw!"

With a quick attack from his scythe, the Sahaugin quickly exploded into items once again as Eniko searched for the last monster. "All right! Where is that last Young Sahaugin?" When he turned around, his eyes widened to see the last Sahaugin's injuries are healed while it's HP bar continued to increase. "I don't think so!" He quickly charged onto the fish hybrid, but it dodged at the last second before it tried to bite his leg, which Eniko kicked it on it's face before he made two slashes. However, it was enough to defeat it as the Young Sahaugin quickly fought back as it managed to bit Eniko's leg in success. However, Eniko had enough of this as he raised his scythe tightly as he angrily thought, "You're finished! Accel Dance!"

With a burst of speed, Eniko spun around the water as his scythe hit the Sahaugin and while it tried to recover, Eniko quickly made a strong slash. And with that attack, the fish hybrid exploded in items and gold. And after he grabbed the dropped items, he knew one thing. He won the battle. "That's that. Time to return back to the surface!"

After he returned from underwater and informed Jan about what happened, the Lander was completely impressed. He was surprised that he managed to kill strong Sahaugin, despite he knew they looked weak at the beginning. "I have to say, you are truly amazing. Even if you're a kid, you are really an amazing Adventurer." Eniko still needed to look serious, but he couldn't helped but to blush to his compliment. "What's your name again, kid?"

"Eniko. And don't worry, I did it because they might attack you in case you want to fish here again."

"Well, thanks again for your hard work, Eniko." He became happy at this, although he looked at the river again, wondered if those monsters might spawned themselves at any given time now. "You're welcome, but just to be safe. Try to fish here when there's another Adventurer in here. Because I rarely visit here."

"I understand. So did you get that treasure chest?" When he mentioned it, Eniko pulled out his inventory interface and materialized the said chest. "Yeah, but I've got one question before you leave. How did you know that gold coins might led me to this chest right here?"

When he heard Eniko's question, the fisherman Lander just smiled and said, "Who knows? Fate has a weird way to aid you."

He had a feeling he could visit Thames Coastline again as a reminder of his memories back home, but he felt he had enough treasure hunting for one day or a year.
