There was much excitement surrounding the experience grinding event he had planned for the three of them. Knowing him he would probably work the three of them into the ground with his enthusiasm and sheer determination. He had a habit of not knowing when to quit and take a rest. Considering that he spent most of his life resting in his chair, he wanted to move and be active. This was a world he could interact with completely and one that made sense to him more so than the real world. If asked how he felt about all of this, he would give you an earful about how much he wanted to stay. Approaching the Flower Grove where he knew low level monsters would be waiting, Balore came to a halt. Scanning the scene slowly, he would take a count of all of the monsters present that were in plain sight. So far that seemed to be nine boars and four slimes. Seemed like a decent amount to start with, if they needed more they could simply move from the grove off into the forest. Normally he wouldn't consider that as an option but now that he had the skill [Anchor Howl] he felt more confident in his ability to protect them. Placing his great shield on the ground in front of him vertically, he leaned against the metal for rest. It was a long walk when you were wearing such heavy armour and carrying such a heavy shield. As he waited his thoughts drifted to the two girls he was expecting to show up here today. A Summoner and a Cleric were joining his party. He had confidence in their make up as he had two caster supports, though he wished they had a damage dealer of some sort. In his head the idea of forming a guild bounced around and he hoped the two of them would join them. With that thought came a whole new rush and set of worries for the armour clad giant. Would he be enough to run a guild correctly? He had the energy and the drive but was that enough to gain the respect of his fellow guildmates? Would anyone truly be willing to follow him as a leader? Thinking back to earlier, how Lavinia seemed to be receptive to his advice and answers to her questions he some what dispelled that fear but not entirely. Shaking his head, he tried to focus on something else more positive and productive to todays undertaking. Instead of worrying himself to death, he started to check his gear. Each piece of gear had a durability and he didn't want to be caught mid battle with his items broken. Inspecting it all for cracks or damage, he busied himself to take his mind off the thoughts in this world that caused doubt. While he worked he belted out a loud song that sounded like a rather average hard rock song from the real world, he had no care in the world and thought no one else was around. Ame started off by placing her hands together and bowing her head. She wasn't praying or anything, just focusing herself on the days event. She was to meet Balore and Sileas, two mates she had met recently, in the Windsor Greatwoods. They had partied up not too long ago and would spend the day grinding out as much AP as they could possible muster. She found herself smiling with excitement as she nodded her head and placed her hands to the side. She entered what was known as the flower grove and felt her ears twitch as they notified her of someone else in the grove. She looked around, not seeing anyone, but by the way her ears had twitched, she knew there was someone there. She walked slowly, being sure not to disturb any of the wild life around her. She didn't want to get in a solo fight when people were waiting for her to fight together. Before she continued, she opened up her interface, clicking on her equipment screen. She brought up her weapon and clicked on it. The interface closed automatically and suddenly she had her long staff in her hands. She smiled and then as if forced, her body was completely straight, and her ears were twitching. She could here something in the distance and like a dog, watching the mail man come up the street, her head turned in the direction of the noise and she burst out in a run towards it.
As she came closer to it, she found Balore, standing in the field. She tilted her head as she stopped running and slowly began to walk. 'Is he? Yup, he's singing!' She smiled widely and though she didn't want to interrupt him she called out with a wave. "Balore! Hey!" She let out a giggle and dashed the rest of the way towards him. She planted her feet when she was directly in front of him and tilted her head to the side, still smiling. "I didn't think you would have such a lovely singing voice." She winked at him and then giggled again, hoping to finally make him blush, instead of it always being her and Lavinia. She looked around the field, not yet seeing Lavinia. She wondered were she was, though it seemed to her that Balore and herself were a bit early. She felt her tail wagging subtly behind her and she stepped a step closer to Balore. "So Balore, will you be my knight in shining armor?" She looked up at him with a sly smile, but then giggled and stepped away. "Aahh, don't mind me. I'm just kidding with you." She turned around, and began surveying the area, her tail wagging more and more with anticipation of each passing moment. She was ready to begin their fighting adventure but she wouldn't dare start without cute little Lavinia.
She turned around to face Balore again, her head tilted once more and she was still smiling. Here, she felt as though she were always smiling. She felt as though she couldn't help it. She felt blessed to be able to be around such good people, making friends that actually seemed to like her, instead of just wanting to use her, as her so called 'friends' in the real world had. "Thanks for letting me party up with you Balore. I can't do much in terms of damage, but I can still deal some, so when I use Reactive Heal on everyone, I hope you don't mind if I join in the combat. I don't want to just stand back and let you do all the work." She held out her staff, raising it over her head and began practicing her swing, but not before backing away from Balore. She wasn't here to fight him, but she still wanted to practice before any real battles began, and she didn't want to spare with Balore, he was far to strong compared to her. One accidental swing and she would probably be dead. She felt her brow twitch at that thought, but she continued to hold her staff up, and bring it down, as if on a boar's head.

((-.- Balore you read my mind and stole my singing idea :P Its raid night so, wont be around for awhile.)) Walking through the grove with her hood up Lavinia softly sings a song she wrote from the real world. She wrote the lyrics and composed the song herself, however she wasn't the one to do the vocals for the track. "Have we really got the heart." she sings in a soft smooth melodic voice "Lighting up the dark, lighting the dark alone." she continues as she starts to relax and her pace turns into more of a stroll than her normal semi quick paced walk. The grove was beautiful in its lushness which made Lavinia relax even more, she loved this kind of environment. "Lighting up the dark alone. Do the patterns in the stars, tell us who we are, would we really wanna know?" she continues and finds herself within earshot of Barlore and Kitty halfway through. Slightly embarrassed but not inclined to stop as she walks over to the two smiling happily as she sung. Singing always relaxed Lavinia and in a time like this when she was incredibly nervous she needed to relax. Reaching her left arm up in greeting as she finished the lyric to the song she took a deep breath. She sees Kitty swinging her staff around, Lavinia assumes shes ready to go by this and Balore is doing something, inspecting his armor maybe. "Hey" she says in a soft voice and exhaling the large breath from before, the nerves are starting to get to her now. "I hope I'm not late." she says concerned her new friends would be upset with her being so late to their meeting. The last thing she'd want is for them to not want her around anymore. Looking around them Lavinia sees several boars and slimes "Are those what we are going to fight? What is the plan?" Lavinia asks pointing at the monsters. Takoda found himself walking through a rampantly growing garden after letting his curiosity get the best of him. He ended wandering away from the main path and had gotten himself lost in the wild. This was the last thing that he wanted to happen. Uncertain of how long he had been trapped in this world, he wasn't sure of how long he'd been lost. He was surrounded by fragrant flowers and strange sounds. The sounds more than likely belonged to the often dangerous creatures that roamed about. Takoda was relying on his sense of direction to guide him to safety. This probably wasn't the best decison, considering how terrible it was in reality, even with a map. I guess not everything changes in this world.Takoda opened the user interface, to see that the option to leave was still unresponsive. He hadn't really had the chance to get any real combat practice, so he was a sitting duck if he was to be attacked. He read enough about the game and studied the manuals before logging into the game, but none of his knowledge was actually tested. Takoda furrowed his brow in frustration as he trudged forward, not looking for anything in particular. After what seemed like an hour, Takoda heard something comforting, singing. Where there's singing, there's people. Takoda quickend his pace, hoping to find the source of the song. What do I say when I reach them. Takoda let out a sigh. He'd never been that great of a conversationalist. This trait of his always perplexed him. He delighted in speaking to crowds and leading others, but introducing himself to strangers always made him feel uneasy. Awkwardness always ensued, but once comfortable enough talking became less daunting. He assumed it was because there was preplanning that went into speeches, but converstions were done on the fly. Soon enough, he spotted the singing adventurers. Takoda stood behind a bush debating whether or not to talk to them, but he didn't really have a choice under these circumstances. Takoda cautiously approached the three adventurers. He cleared his throat before speaking. " Uh, hello," Takoda sheepishly said. " I'm a bit... lost. Could I... tag along?" He quickly added, " Only if it isn't too much trouble for you that is."

Just as he was about to belt out the the second verse to the song, a familiar voice cut through the air that forced him to stop singing. Flustered already from having been caught, Balore dropped his shield onto the ground with a loud clattering sound. Perhaps he should have been paying more attention to his surroundings. Rubbing the back of his head with a slightly red face he nodded to Kitty as she approached. There was a short cough to clear his throat before he opened his mouth at all.
"Hey." he said quietly.
The compliments that followed caught the guy even more off guard and caused him to laugh nervously. "I'm okay.. just something I do to pass the time. I'm no pro." he said waving his hands in front of himself. Girls were weird, he never could figure them out. This thought was even more justified when she mentioned him being her knight in shining armour. If his face wasn't already red his head might have exploded. "I uh.. uhm.. what?" he asked. Boy that sounded as dumb to him as it would anyone else.
He breathed a sigh of relief when she moved on from the subject and tried to regain his composure. Smooth, very smooth. For someone who was normally so charismatic he had no idea what to do in moments like that. Was that an opening? Did he just miss something? He would have to take the rest of the day to analyze the situation. "It's no problem at all. It should be fun for everyone." he said before hearing the rest of her comment.
"If you feel comfortable in combat then by all means, join in. It helps maximize our damage if the healer can also multi-task." he said with a grin. In fact, in his old games he used to take on that role himself before he realized that tank was where he wanted to be. "I prefer it if everyone fills a role that makes them happy. That way we don't have anyone feeling like they were forced into doing a specific role." he said.
With that said yet another voice was travelling across the grove. Someone else was also singing and he was able to pick up on who the voice might belong to before she even arrived. There was a smirk on his face as she approached them, though unlike him she did not stop her song. He admired her for her guts, he had always been a shy singer. Nodding in her direction, he smiled. "You're not late. I was just finishing a gear check and chatting with Kitty." he said.
"As for the plan," he started, but he was interupted by another persons arrival. The new person seemed to be male and from the looks of him another caster. On closer inspection Balore could confirm that he was in fact another Summoner. It seemed that he was swimming in caster city today, not a single melee damage dealer to be found. With a bright grin he waved at the newcomer, however. "Hello friend! You are currently in the Savill Flower Grove just outside of Londinium." he explained pointing towards town.
He was quick to note that yet another person seemed to want to join up with his party. The more the merrier he thought as long as they were okay with the current set up. "It's no problem if you tag along. We'll be out here for a while though, if that is alright." he said before opening up the party interface. Dragging the mans name into it, he would invite him to the group. "I'm Balore and you're just in time for the plan." he said with a grin.
"As I was going to say, the plan is to gather up the boars first. I will be the primary tank for this and Lavinia's golem will be the off tank. Once I draw their aggro we'll just go about this the old fashion way. Burn down my target, swap with me as I do so, repeat. The monsters here are fairly low level so there are no real mechanics involved in fighting them. Just don't let them call or run for help." he explained before clearing his throat. Looking to each of them he would pause as he tried to think of anything else.
"Anyone have any objections or wish to alter the plan in any way?" he asked.

Ame let out a small giggle as she heard Balore stutter a bit. She knew that she had thrown him off guard and she felt a bit bad for doing so, though she didn't really know why she had done it herself. Sure, Balore was a definite looker, but she normally wouldn't have done something like that in the real world, though she also found that her personality had changed slightly upon entering Elder Tale. It was only when her ears began twitching, hearing yet another song in the distance. She smiled, knowing that Lavinia was on her way, and would grace them with her presence very soon. She stopped momentarily to nod at Balore as he spoke and her cheeks matched her soft expression. She smiled back, but to hide her pink cheeks she continued to practice her staff swing. As Lavinia approached, she would stop swinging and turn with her hand high in the air. Balore spoke to her before she could and she nodded in agreement with him, smiling as she did so. She tilted her head and her ears twitched as she noticed yet another presence off in the distance.
Her face turned before the man could make it out of the bush, but when he finally did, she smiled upon hearing his words. Listening to Balore, she also added, "I'm also okay with it, Takoda the summoner!" She looked to Lavinia for the final word, as he too had the same class she did, Ame wanted to make sure that she was okay with someone else joining the team. "My name is KittyGrey, but everyone seems to just call me Kitty." She smiled widely and like she always did, she raised her hand as if to welcome him to their newly formed group. She felt her tail gracefully swinging side to side as if to show them all that she was happy to be here with them. Then she thought that her tail could give away alot of things about her, and she knew she would eventually have to control it, though now was not the time for that. Just then, Balore began to explain the plan, and the positions himself and Lavinia would take. Not that it really mattered because she knew that they would be doing most of the damage, but she felt a little sad that he had left her out of the plan, so she knew she had to add herself in. "I'm a cleric so I'll be the one healing the group. If it's alright with everyone, I'd like to heal everyone before the battle begins, as my Reactive Heal only activates when you are hit."
Ame held out her staff and looked to Balore, who she would begin with as he was the leader. She held her staff up and said, "activate: Reactive Heal!" Everyone would see an orange glow swirling around him, and he would feel a slight warmth on his skin. She smiled and continued. "It has a fifteen second cooldown time so it won't take long to heal everyone, but once that's done, I can also help by giving some of the damage with my trusty staff here." She smiled and held it up, then watched as the cooldown time ended and turned to Lavinia with a smile. "You're next Lavinia, and don't worry, it won't hurt at all." Just as before, she held up her staff and said, "activate: Ractive Heal!" The glow would now be circling Lavinia as it had done to Balore before and she too would feel it's warmth. Then she looked to Takoda, waiting for her cooldown time to end. "May I ask what your summoning ability is?" Her voice was soft and she smiled lightly to him, waiting for his response. After he spoke, her cooldown time would be finished and she would cast Reactive Heal on him as well, and then last, but not least, she would wait to cast it on herself.
Once all four of them were set with Reactive Heal, she would turn to Balore and nod. "Okay, boss, it's done! Give us the word and we'll get started!" Her words were filled with enthusiasm, showing that she was excited to begin. It had nothing to do with the fighting, however, she was just simply happy to be surrounded by great people, even more so than that, great friends. She hoped they would all be friends for a long time, and maybe if they were to escape from the game, they could meet in real life. As she waited for Balore's words, she would picture him and Lavinia, and how they might look in the real world, though in most cases, people normally changed their appearance completely, but her, she was the same, just more confident, without bangs always in her face. 'Elder Tale give me the confidence to be like my character and let me cut my bangs when I am able to return home.' The thought made her burst with confidence so much that her stance changed slightly, and she seemingly stood a bit taller than before. She continued to smile and the group of three before her. 'Yup, I can't wait!'

Lavinia looks over at this new comer and like the rest of her party assumes the guy to be a caster. Greeting the new comer with nothing more than a warm smile, Lavinia lets the others do the talking as is her preferred method of doing these types of things. Listening in Lavinia finds it slightly amusing that the new comer is lost, "At least I'm not the only one who can't really read a map." she thinks laughing quietly to herself. Kitty's comment on the heal not hurting brought a smile to Lavinia's face, "Some how I don't think I believe that." she jokes as the light surrounds her. This warmth was familiar to Lavinia although different. She searches for memories associated with this kind of warmth. She comes up with a fuzzy vague memory of hugging her mother and a similar memory involving mike. Raising up her left hand Lavinia examines it in front of her "It's like... Your hugging a loved one." Lavinia says to no one in general. She then feels a pang of pain from the memories of her parents demise and instantly suppresses the feeling for fear that it may show on her face. However despite her best effort the feeling manifests in her eyes, however no one from the group would notice, she hopes. Since the others approve of Takoda joining, Lavinia couldn't really say no to him joining. Not that she didn't want him to join up, what if he has the same Summon, that could be problematic. However Kitty beat her to the question, asking what Takoda's summon was. Right after Kitty asked, Lavinia added, "I'm Lavinia, a Summoner like you. I picked a Golem for my first summon." she says softly with her usual friendly smile. This is when Lavinia started to get uneasy again, crossing her arms tightly over her chest she begins to rock side to side slightly. "I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be." she says softly to the group still nervous but glad she has these new friends to accompany her. "You said summon my golem from the skill list first? I guess you don't run before you walk." Lavinia says to Kitty as she browses through her interface for the spell. After a moment she finds the spell and taps it. The next thing she knew there was a stone golem standing in front of her. "Wow..." she says amazed by this thing standing in front of her. The meter high golem was made of grey stone and rumbled ever so slightly as the stones that made up its figure rubbed together. The golem has stubby stones for legs and larger arms that resemble a wrecking ball and a large stone for a body and head. "It's smaller than I imagined. I got a billion questions." Lavinia says laughing a little as she looks down at her golem. "Still, it's pretty cool." Lavinia says her nervousness gone, for now. She then nods to Balore indicating she's set. Takoda was told of his current location by the player Balore. Takoda was grateful for the bit of information. He realised that he wasn't very far from the city at all. Well this is more embarassing, now. The man, Balore, seemed to radiate with confidence and seemed friendly than expected considering his appearance. He was welcomed into the party as Balore began to explain their plan. A plan for combat by the sound of it. Takoda wasn't able to be involved in combat before getting stuck in this world. He wringed his hands together as he thought about what he would face. He looked around the field for a moment. Boars seem easy enough. Right? Takoda didn't have any objections to the plan, but he was definitely nervous about fighting. Luckily, Balore looked like a capable leader. Takoda would just have to trust him. Plus, he basically told him exactly what to do.
Kitty was also fine with Takoda joining the group, if her enthusiasm was anything to go by. The bubbly fox tail chimed in to explain her role in the scheme of things. A healer is always good to have around if I remember correctly. She went on to heal the party in advance, setting up a skill called Reactive Heal. A orange glow surrounded each of them. Takoda felt a comforting, warm feeling encompass his body. It was oddly pleasant. Lavinia commented on it, but he didn't really make out what she said. Takoda took note of this skill and its cooldown. He figured that he should at least remember what the party is capable of. Kitty went on to ask Takoda what his summon was. Lavinia also was a summoner, which would be helpful.Reactive Heal. Fifteen second cooldown. Only works if cast befo-Takoda looked up to see Kitty and the others staring at him, presumably waiting for an answer.
"Oh! Me, right. I chose a salamander as my summon. It's a lizard that gets stronger when conjured from fire. But he's still decently strong otherwise." Takoda said. A goofy grin spread across his face after informing them of his ability. He hoped that they would do well in battles. It seemed that summoners were usually weak initially, but they became much more stronger as time progressed. Everyone looked ready. Lavinia even summoned her Golem to be on the safe side. Takoda decide to do the same. He opened his menu and went to his list of summons. He chose the Salamander. A flash of red light appeared in front of him. It faded away to reveal a salamander that was the size of a small human. It had red skin, horns, and menacing green eyes. Takoda was impressed by the creature. It looked tough enough.
"I'm ready, now." Takoda said as he grabbed his whipped from his belt.

There was a lot of cross chatter as the group fully came together for this hunt. Instead of adding to it, Balore watched as they all spoke amongst one another with much excitement. This was precisely what he liked to see and exactly why he wanted to form a guild with other like minded individuals. Bringing others together who normally would not do so on their own was the magic of the entire ordeal and why he was determined to reach level fifteen. Once he made it that far he could make his dream into a reality and finally start to feel like he made a difference in this world.
When Kitty suggested pre-healing the group he only nodded in reply. Truthfully he had not even thought about doing so but then again he needed to learn what her skills were. It was a strange sensation actually being hit with these spells, like Lavinia described to be a warm hug. It seemed that everyone was whipping out their spells to show off and he was the only one without anything truly visible to show. Figures he'd pick the one class that wasn't as flashy as the others.
"Does your salamander happen to know any fire attacks? Like a flame breath or something?!" he asked seeming genuinely interested. Balore had a thing for dragons, he loved them to death and was excited to potentially encounter some later in the game. It was only after he had his little freak out moment he realized he was standing a bit close. "Err, sorry. I like lizards and dragons.." he said with a chuckle. Once he recovered from his initial embarassment he coughed and drew his sword.
"Right. So I will go ahead and pull two of the boars to us so that we can begin. If they make an attempt to run cut them off, they will bring help." he warned. Focusing on a rather fat boar in front of them Balore appoached slowly before letting out a rather loud war scream. This activated his [Taunting shout] which would generate a ton of threat on that creature before he ran to the other one.
It was probably amusing watching the metallic giant run but once he got there he lept through the air. Landing with a thud next to his prey, he swung his sword and cut the second boar to gain it's attention. The boars were all fairly low leveled so several at once wouldn't be too much of a problem. Once they both gathered up in front of him and started to alternate leaping charges he would block with his shield.
"Your turn!" he called to the rest of the group. His job was done for now, it was up to the rest of them to finish them off.

Ame shifted slightly as her cheeks burned with a blush from Lavinia's comment. 'Being hugged by a loved one.' The thought made her smile as she previously had nothing to compare the feeling of warmth too when she had cast it upon herself in her solo play. She nodded to her and let out a soft, "Yeah." She smiled widely and watched as she summoned her golem. It was such a small creature that she felt the urge to clap and yell, "it's so cute," but she didnt, thankfully. Then she turned to Takoda as he began to speak. It wasn't that she was afraid of Salamander's or anything, but she took a step back as he summoned it before them. The sight gave her a slight shiver, that she hoped no one had seen, and she let out a soft nervous laugh. Then Balore spoke and her eyes widened as she turned her head slowly to look at him. "F-Fire Breathing?" Her whisper was so soft, she doubted anyone could hear it, but then she tilted her head and her mind went back to normal. She giggled at Balore with a small shake of her head. 'Right, this lizard thing isn't my enemy, and it isn't going to hurt me. If Balore's okay with it, I am too!' She nodded to herself and let out a sigh. Was she really okay with it?
Then Balore began speaking again. It was clearly his time to shine as they all had and Ame found herself rather excited to see what he could do. She had yet to see a Gaurdian in action and waited patiently, but her eyebrow rose as he yelled rather loudly. She quickly covered her ears, forgetting that they were now very, very sensitive, as she gritted her teeth. 'These ears..' Sure, they looked supper cute, but they were destined to fail her at some point, with her sensitive hearing and all, but she continued to watch, taking her hands down as the war cry ended. As he began running, she felt her body becoming excited and if either Takoda, or Lavinia were in distance of her tail, they were bound to get hit by it. It was swinging back and forth excitedly, and would probably have hurt if anyone were to get hit by it, but she couldn't help it, the thing had a mind of it's own. 'So much for having any ounce of mystery.' The thought made her giggle, but she quickly shook it off, paying closer attention to what was happening in front of her. Ame's eyes widened as Balore shot up in the air and landed close to their enemy, cutting it, probably to get it's attention. She stood, eyes wide, mouth open and as she spoke she smiled widely. "Wow Balore! You're amazing!" She stood there for a moment, watching with sheer pleasure and then looked to both of the beasts in front of her.
"Okay guys, it's our turn. You guys get your creatures to follow me, I'll hit them a few times and back off and you guys do as much as you can. If you need help at all, call Balore, or myself. See you soon!" She smiled at the two and rushed towards the boars. She knew the characters would be standing back, and it was the golem and the salamander that would be fighting, but she didn't know if the creatures could listen to her, so she spoke to their humans instead. As she ran, she readied her staff, bringing it up over her head and letting it charge. She let out a cry as she brought it down on the first boar, and then hit it a few more times. She dodged it's charging attack with ease by stepping to the side and then proceeded to do the same thing to the second boar. Charged hit, and two swings to either side, dodge the attack, and then run. She ran back towards the group, turned and stood to watch what the summons could do. She couldn't do a lot of damage, but with three hits each, it should have done enough for them to land a couple of attacks and kill the two boars. She breathed in slightly, allowing her to recharge as she did so, not that fighting took alot out of her or anything.

Sharing in Kitty's discomfort at the Salamander, Lavinia looks down at the creature with unease "No offense, Takoda, but that thing is alil creepy." she says softly with obvious unease in her face "I hope it doesn't bite." she continues with her uneasy tone but laughing at the end of the comment trying to relieve the unease by making a joke. "I guess if its creepy, it'll do the job." she thinks reassuring herself. Lavinia felt the hit of something against her leg as she looks down she sees Kittys tail swinging back and forth in excitement. Amused by Kittys new form of body language Lavinia smiles dispite being hit by her tail actually stinging a bit. But there were more important things to focus on, so Lavinia would be sure to comment on it later. Balore's plan of attack is sound as Lavinia tries to think of any flaws with the plan. "Cut them off." Balore's words gives Lavinia a idea when he finally charges in, opening her interface she scrolls through to the command that has her summon move to a specfic location "If we surround them, they'll have less places to run to.". Balore is finally ready to go, as Lavinia watched him at first slowly walk towards the boar and then leap into the air and land next to the boar attacking it and then attacking the second boar. As Balore leaped toward them Lavinia tapped the move command and pointed behind the first boar, she knew it would take a moment for her Golem to get behind the boar so she assumed doing so before he got a attack on the second boar wouldn't be a problem. As the golem ran to the location Lavinia watched Kitty doing what she said she'd do, charge in attack then back out. She wondered why Kitty would want her or Takoda to call her for help. But that was something to discuss afterwards. Lavinia pointed at the first boar targetting it and hovered her finger over the attack command, waiting for her summon to get in place. Finally in place she taped the attack button and the golem took two steps toward the boar, raised its right arm and brought it down on the boar. Lavinia knew that is all she had to do until this boar died, the golem would do the rest itself. Lavinia wished she had a second skill or weapon, something to fill in the gap of time. Her grimoire, while a weapon, didn't really make sense to try and use it as a melee weapon. "Trying to hit something to death with a book? Just Silly... I'll have to buy a sword." she thought looking at the one Balore uses. His of course would be to big for Lavinia, maybe something short and fast. This of course is thoughts to be worked out after the fight. This is when Lavinia started preparing for the first boar to die, targetting the second boar, Lavinia readied herself to command the golem to attack the second boar. Once Takoda's Salamader joined in this first boar wouldn't last much longer. ((Sorry for the delay, things are, crazy, at the moment.)) Word Count: 523 Tagged: kittygrey, Balore, @truesdale

After Takoda summoned his salamander, the reactions from the party were mixed. Balore expressed incredible fervor upon seeing the creature, asking about its capabilities. It was obvious that he favored dragon-like creatures, even if he wouldn't have confirmed it himself. The salamander huffed out a thin cloud of smoke from its nostrils. He seemed to approve of Balore's enthusiasm. Takoda smiled at his pet before explaining what it does, " Well, Salamander, here, is a fire elemental. He indeed can breath fire. His claws even ignite when he attacks. Like I said before, his potential is maximized when he is summoned from fire." Kitty wasn't as excited to see the salamander, and it showed. As she stammered, Salamander edged closer to her. He nudged her leg with his scaled head. He radiated with warmth, indicative of his fire oriented nature. He wondered if Kitty would respond pleasantly to the gesture. Takoda chuckled at this before saying, " Salamander seems to have taken a liking to you." Salamander let out a low, soft growl. Takoda assumed that this was to express that he meant no harm. Lavinia was more vocal about her displeasure with the creature. She went as far as to call it creepy. Salamander didn't particularly like that comment. He let out a snarl as the flame on its tail blazed fiercely. Takoda let out a nervous laugh before rubbing the salamander's head in an attempt to calm its temper. " I guess it can understand us. You may want to keep comments like that to yourself, then. Or it may answer your question about if it bites or not." Takoda said with a smile. Balore went on to reiterate the plan from before. He warned them to keep the boars from recruiting allies, or else it could spell trouble for the group of adventurers. He decided to initiate combat by engaing one of the plumper boars. The guardian let out a mighty warcry that even shook Takoda to his core. He shivered as chills rolled down his back. Kitty was affected by it, too, as she covered her ears to block out the piercing shout. The massive warrior then targeted another boar, charging at it. Kitty was getting worked up, if her tail was anything to go by. It whacked both Lavinia and Salamander. Takoda was spared since he wasn't as close. She sang his praises before joining him in battle. Lavinia sent her golem into the fray to assist. Takoda decided to send his salamander to do the same. " Alright, Sal. Let's get in there!" Takoda said eagerly. Salamander charged forward to the first boar. Takoda didn't command it to do so through the interface, but it did it. Strange. Takoda opened the interface and chose the attack option. Salamander opened its mouth, and let out a jet of flames to roast the boar. Takoda adeptly flicked his whip through the air. The leather snapped against the pudgy boar's skin. The impact created a loud sound that splintered the air. Takoda imagined that it would greatly sting. Salamander continued to attack, swiping at the boar with its sharp, fiery claws.

Although they were only level one boars, Balore was pleased with the group so far. This was more about checking out the teamwork of such an odd group than truly challenging themselves with a fight. So far so good, they all seemed to follow his cue and begin the assault. Lavinia cut the boars off with her golem, Kitty maximized party damage by contributing her own damage when she didn't have to heal, and Takoda's salamander seemed to be a big asset. From the withering fire of four people the first boar would simply explode iinto blue light and coins from all of the attacks. With so many focused on it there was no way such a weak mob would ever survive.
'When this was a game this group would have been odd. Now that this is no longer just for fun, I wonder if a group composition truly matters..' he thought to himself as he shifted his body to face the second boar. His movements were fluid, almost robotic as he thought about the entire situation at hand. Even though he had only fought a handful of times since coming here his body seemed to move on it's own at times. When the boar charged him he raised his shield in it's path which caused a loud clashing sound. When there was only one target there was no way it was ever going to slip through his guard. Still with every hit some damage slipped through anyway, he couldn't fully block the entire hit due to the game mechanics still existing.
A smirk formed at the edge of his lips as he watched the rest of them work. "So far so good. Being healed for real though is a bit odd, it feels to me like that sensation when your limbs lose circulation." he said with a laugh. That was just his take on it, he was sure that it probably reminded everyone else of something different when it triggered. Another predictable charge from the boar which was only met by a gruesome shield smack from the knight. With another devious smirk he activated his [Counter Break] ability and swiped his shield across it's face. With a loud squeal the pig would topple over onto it's back.
Creating an opening for them to finish it off, his job here was done and so he immediately turned his attention to the area looking for more to do. If he had no turned he would have never realized that the squeal the pig let out spelled trouble for the four of them as he figured it would. Coming their way now were three more boars who seemed to be enraged by the anguish of their fallen comrade. "Woops.. I had a feeling this would happen.." he said with a sigh. It was hard to tell at this distance who they were targetting so he decided to sit tight and wait for them to come to him.
The monsters would come in a triangle formation, one out in front, and one on either flank. 'Basic wedge. Odd, is this a coincidence?' he wondered to himself. Basic monsers didn't often use formations so he figured that he was just over thinking the way they were moving. "Lavinia, take the right flank with your golem. Takoda, send your salamander after the one on the left flank. I will take the middle, Kitty, fire at will." he said as he charged off towards them. Down the field he charged with that goofy smile of his, he was caught up in the moment and loving it.

Ame watched as the salamander edged closer to her, nuzzling at her leg as if it were a pet. She felt her eyes widen with fear, but then her face smoothed out and she bent down, petting the salamander on it's head. "I guess you aren't so bad, little guy." She smiled and then let out a soft giggle as Lavinia spoke and smoke raged through it's nose. She looked to Takoda and smiled, feeling bad for being afraid of the creature at first. He was really quite cute when he had nuzzled her and she found that she was already becoming used to the creature.
After she had attacked, she found herself watching the two summons, eager to see their powers. She watched as the golem brought up the first boar's rear end and began attacking. She couldn't help but smile as the small creature hit it, and did it's damage. She found small things to be adorable, and the little golem was one of the cutest things she felt she had ever seen. Then she focused on the salamander that Takoda had called Sal. He was bigger than the golem and it made her wonder why, but she figured it was just the way the summons were. Perhaps they would get bigger as they leveled up a bit. Sal blew out fire and her mouth dropped. She knew that he would, as Takoda had stated that that was one of it's abilities, but she didn't expect it to be roasted quite so much. She had to smile at that as well. Though she had been afraid, she was 'warming' up to it with each passing second (pun obviously intended XD). Soon though, she was watching Balore again, as he brought up his sheild. She watched as his health went down a small amount and then increased back to full with her healing. She smiled, but wouldn't heal him again just yet. He was a guardian, so he could take a lot of damage, especially with the young boars being so little in level. She checked her mana bar and found the she still had three quarters left of it. She wanted to make sure she kept as much for healing as possible as she didn't want to let any of her team down. She would only heal Balore when he absolutely needed it.
Soon, she found Balore looking in the direction of three more boars. They seemed to be enraged, possibly at the death's of their comrades. She raised a brow, making a note of their stance and realized that they were seemingly in a formation. She remembered back to her solo fight, the moment she had realized that they two had been in a formation, though normally, low leveled monster had no formation. She figured she should bring to attention the fact that the monsters seemed to have personalities, as well as their own strategies. She ran closer to the group, as she had been standing off in the distance and called out, "These monsters have their own strategies, don't take them lightly or they might just surprise you!" She knew that her statement would probably bring about questions, but they would probably have no time until after the battle to be answered, only then would she tell them about her solo experience, and how the monsters seemed to have feelings of sorts. She heard Balore call out their next strategy and nodded, but instead of charging in she waited back a bit to see which boar would take the least damage. She figured she could do more by waiting to attack and focusing more on healing the group if they needed it. She wasn't sure how much damage the boar's would do to the summoners, but she figured that they would be like her, and take quite a bit of damage even though the levels were small.

Lavinia watches the Salamander react to her comment on her feelings toward it. "I guess it really can understand us. I'm sorry, it was rude of me." she says to the creature as watches Kitty pet it then she herself kneels down and cautiously extends her left hand toward the creature. The Salamander still gave her the creeps but this was the only way to try and fix that, aside from being able to summon her own. Which she would rather not have the same summons as Takoda. With their limited pool of skills having doubles wouldn't be as effective in some situations or so Lavinia thought. "Did he just?..." Lavinia thought as she saw Takoda sent in his Salamander without using the interface. Watching the Salamander fight, it was obvious it was made to deal damage, it kinda made Lavinia jealous, she wish she picked another summon. But she dismissed this thought as her golem fits nicely with the current group setup. Lavinia watched Balore counter attack the boar's attack and flip it over on its back. "Now is the time to finish it." she thinks as her golem raises its arm to attack, if it doesn't finish the boar, Takoda's Salamander will. As the boar got flipped on its back it squeeled out, she saw Balore turn and look at something in the distance and she followed his gaze. Seeing the pack of boars heading towards their location she could only assume the squeel is what called them. "Well, thats not good." she whispered as Balore gave new instructions. The formation didn't seem abnormal to Lavinia, for all she knew this is how the AI was set to act in video games to make things more of a challage for groups. She didn't think there was anything to worry about. "Understood." she replied to both Kitty's remark and Balore's new instructions in a tone that she never really used. The tone was soft, kinda cold sounding, but most of all serious. The reaction the two gave to this turn of events hinted at something being off, while unsure Lavina wasn't going to fail. Going off the hunch she got from Takoda earlier "Go stand off to Balore's right and wait for my signal." she commanded pointing to Balore's right side and much to her surprise the golem complied. "Is this what Kitty meant?" she thought as she watched the boars draw closer, mildly anticipating the next fight, she starts to hope she will have the mana for it. Takoda was becoming more comfortable as the fight raged on. Any hint of nervousness that he had was subsiding. Salamander was proving to be a fantastic investment. Its attacks were swift and powerful. Takoda felt like a proud father. A throbbing began to occur in his head, much like a migraine. His vision blurred for a moment. He began to rapidly blink, hoping that it would help. The pain faded away. It was now a dull throb. What was that all about? He was confused by what just happened, but he would be sure to look into it later. As the first boar was taken care of, Balore shifted his attention to the second one. Takoda watched as Balore moved about the battlefield with a ferocity that only a true warrior class could muster. He doesn't even use his interface...I wonder if that's because he is now one with his avatar and no longer just a player playing a video game. It was an interesting theory, and Takoda wanted test it. The boar was now on its back, courtesy of Balore. Kitty aided him through healing, since the bore took a small amount of health away from him. The downed boar was quickly smashed into oblivion as it burst into a stream of data and gold, much like the previous one. However, before it died it let out a resounding squeal. Sure enough, Balore noticed three more boars charging at them. One of the boars looked as if it was leading a charge with two other boars following behind it. They were furious since their comrades were just killed by the group of adventurers. Balore thought up a new tactic to deal with the charging boars. He commanded Takoda to take out the on the left, while Lavinia would handle the other on the right. He then dashed off with the zeal of child playing tag. Takoda did as he was instructed. This time he would try commanding Salamander without using the menu, after all everyone else was using their skills without stopping to access the interface. It was a smarter choice to make in the middle of combat. Takoda called out to Salamander, "Sal, take on the boar on the left. Use everthing you have." Salamander hissed visciously as it charged off. Kitty warned them to be careful as any good cleric would do. Salamander crawled quickly to the boar. It slashed at the boar. Takoda took this as a warning from his own summon. Takoda issued another command, "Use that fire breath of yours." The salamander opened its fanged mouth at let loose a stream of fire. The flames licked at the boar. "Great job! Keep it up," Takoda said. Salamander was handling itself quite well, but the throbbing in Takoda's head was still going. He winced as he attacked with his whip to assist in taking out one of the boars.

Things were going about as well as he figured they would but he was unsure how long they could keep this up. While Kitty had no spent her mana at this point, the summoners were constantly using it and he had no clue w hen they would need a break. Even in battle his mind was elsewhere, tryiing to work on some other problem pertaining to the fight. Perhaps he could do this after all, become the commander of a guild as he put it and lead them in their endeavors. Coming from his real self to this was quite a change but it seemed to be one he embraced whole heartidly. Things were finally looking up for him now and he was going to give it his all which showed on the battlefield.
As he approached the boars, Balore would cross his longsword across his body and strike the boar on the left. Since his strike alone would not generate more threat than the salamander had, Balore also let loose his [Taunting Shout] once more. Hopeflly by this point those on the battle field would be getting used to hearing it as it had a five second cooldown and was crucial to his success as a guardian tank. With that done his body would twist and he would use the moment of said twist to his advantage and strike the boar charging towards them from the right.
There was a loud clashing sound as the shield smashed into the boars face, re-activating [Counter Break]. It came to an abrupt stop as it was now dazed and pissed at the massive knight who had struck. This only left the third boar now which he could not hit in time. He had anticipated this much though and simply took the charge right to the back which dropped his health by a decent amount. He winced as he closed his eyes for a moment, but when he opened them they were the same colour as a wolfs. It seemed that the more damage he took the more his racial traits started to show.
The boar wasn't after him, however, and so after it struck Balore it simply tried to run around him. Slipping past his guard, it targetted Kitty with it's wild charge but he wasn't about to let that happen. His mana was starting to dip past the half way point but he had one more skill up his sleeve that would keep the casters safe from a direct attack. With a loud shout, much like his taunt, he would activate [Anchor Howl] which would slow the boars movement speed and if he left the area of effect would take massive damage. Unfortunately for the boar, it was that stupid, and so the moment it broke range it took a critical hit leaving it on the brink of defeat.
By this point he was panting, this was actually starting to take it out of him for sure. He had hoped that they would have stamina like the game characters but it seemed they were also limited by the energy of their actual bodies as well. This wasn't good enough then by any standard, he had to get stronger! Once they managed to finish off the remaining monsters he felt that it would be time for a small break. Perhaps they could find some decent food or something that didn't taste like soggy crackers.
"Let's take a break after this set!" he shouted to the rest of his party members.

Ame gasped as she watched the fight scene before her. She though everyone looked so cool as they battled the boars before them. She smiled widely as she heard Lavinia's voice calling to her golem. 'I was wondering when she would try.' She let her smile somehow grow wider. Though in many other games this team would have seemed an odd fit, she found herself thinking that everyone worked so well together. Then she looked to Takoda, and found her head tilting. From the angle she was standing at, he seemed to be blinking vigorously, as if he were in pain, but as she was about to call out, He commanded Sal to battle and also went off, a whip in his hand. She raised her brow at the whip as she found it a strange pick for a summoner, but at the same time, it seemed to suit him well. She shrugged her shoulders, figuring she would have to ask him how he was feeling after their battle had concluded.
She found her eyes wandering to Balore, hearing him shout a different shout than his taunting ability. She wondered what it would do, but she squinted her eyes in his direction and they suddenly widened. "B-Balore, your eyes?" The words were a whisper as she saw the yellow in his eyes but she came back from her thoughts after she realized that a boar was after her. She had noticed Balore's health had gone down quite a bit, and knew afterwards she would have to heal him. There was no way she could risk letting their gaurdian go down more health than he was at already, but she had another problem. Though the boar had taken massive damage, it was still headed towards her, charging with the last of it's might. She felt herself smirk and figured this would be as good of a time as any to use her one and only magic attack. She gripped on hard to her staff, allowing her hands to bring it to her left. She slid her feet apart and took on a battle stance, then she yelled, "Martyr Spear!" A glow of yellow began sparkling above her head and she pushed her staff to her other side and a golden spear flew through the air, striking the boar and sending it off into a glittering death.
She breathed heavily as she ran up to Balore. He seemed to be getting tired and she nodded as he spoke. She looked at the yellow's in his eyes and tilted her head, smiling shyly. "Um.. Balore, stay still for a moment, okay? I'm going to heal you." She took her staff once again in her hands and lifted the end of it just above the ground. Calmly, she said, "Saint Channeling." A blue circle lay in the grass around the two, with a three meter spread around her. She had made sure to stand where Balore would be healed and she would have nodded that she was right, if she weren't immobilized by the healing technique she had just learned. It seemed strange that she felt paralyzed but she knew she could move once she had finished her healing process. She wanted to be quick, because the other two still had boars around them and she didn't want to to charge her again, especially after using more of her mana. She would be just above a quarter after she finished with Saint Channeling. Soon, Balore was once again at full health and she put her hand up as her ability came to an end. "And just for safe measure, Reactive Heal!" She smiled as she saw the warm glow around him, and though how he looked good with the golden colored eyes that he had now. She blushed and turned her head back to the others. "There, I'm, uh, finished." She took her staff in her hands and ran off, letting out a breath once she was away from him. 'Oh come on Ame, this is a stupid time to be checking out guys..

"Go now!" Lavinia commanded as she let the boar come within range of Balore. She didn't really understand how the golem was receiving these commands. They just worked, Kitty said about controlling things through thought and voice but is that really all it took? It didn't matter it worked and the details could be sorted out in practice later on. Per Lavinia's instructions the Golem took several of its wobbly steps forward and smashed the now stunned boar with its rocky appendage. "That Counter move is conveniant." Lavinia thought as she watched Balore smash the boar and then her golems well timed attack. Takoda's Salamander, while still a little creepy was still impressive and a sight to behold compared to Lavinia's Golem. Lavinia couldn't wait to unlock more abilities for her golem, if there were any. She would be kind of depressed if it didn't. That is when she noticed or maybe it was finally severe enough to notice that her head was throbbing. It was sudden and sevre enough to actually make Lavinia's face wince in pain. Seeing how low her mana pool has become she made the plausible connection between this headache and their mana pools. "Is this related to our mana?" she said softly the irritation underneath should have been palpable to Kitty who seemed to be the most concerned with everyone's state of being and maybe even Balore and Takoda too but that was hard to say. The spear attack from Kitty surprised Lavinia, to the point it startled her as she watched it zip past , pierce and kill the boar. "I didn't think a healer would be able to deal that much damage with a single attack, cool." as she saw the boar poof into blue light. Then she saw Kitty run to Balore's side, for a moment the healer coming to the front confused her. She was about to question the reasoning behind such an action when she saw the blue circle on the ground around them and Balore's health rising. "A close range healing spell?" she wondered, kind of jealous of all the cool spells their groups healer has, compared to her single spell. As Balore's health begain to raise she noticed Kitty blushing "Does she like him?" she wondered, allowing herself to get distracted from the fight. So far the two would appear to be a nice match, they're both nice and motivated. Lavinia then remembered Kitty is a chef and the saying "A way to a mans heart is through his stomach", A big guy like Balore must love to eat. This thought actually made Lavinia laugh out loud. This laugh brought Lavinia back to her senses and focusing on the fight at hand, hoping no one noticed. She wouldn't be surprised if they did though. "Finish it." Lavinia instructed again, ordering the death blow for the second boar. With the third boar already dead, her boar on the brink of death and Takoda's close as well she hears Balore call out for a break after this set. Relieve by this choice, her mana pool wouldn't hold out that long and she wasn't sure if she could handle the throbbing getting any worse. Lavinia was never tolerant for headaches, it always made her irritable. Not that it would show, Lavinia has become very good at hiding her displeasure with things over time. Only an observant person would notice such a change or someone who knew Lavinia well. This is when Lavinia's golem smashed the boar again killing it. By now the other boar should be done or close to it. "Come here..." Lavinia whispers as she closes her eyes and presses both thumbs into her eyes hoping to help relieve the pressure in her head. The golem now standing in front of her she looks down at the amazing being. "Thanks for the help." she says softly to the creature, she didn't think it understood her or anything, she just wanted to thank it. Word Count: 663 Tagged: kittygrey, Balore, @truesdale

It took him quite some time to figure out what was going on. When he got lost in the heat of the moment nothing else really mattered to him. All he knew was that there was the enemy and there was him, the only thing standing between them and his group wiping. Of course with the enemies being so low a level it was not that dramatic but his mind didn't truly examine the details when he was sucked into it all. After a moment he realized that he was being healed, maybe he'd sustained more damage than he truly realized. Shaking his head, he tried to snap himself out of the zone he was in.
"My wha?" he asked, taking a moment to think about it. Oh right, his eyes! The Wolf Hair raced appeared to be human until they entered combat, then they started to take on beast like traits. His eyes were not the extent of it either, the more damage he took the more his features changed. If he was pushed to around twenty-five percent he would even sprout more pronounced fangs, ears, and a tail. Though he was a danger fighter the more he was pushed, even become more reckless the further his health dropped. "Oh right. Err, my race is Wolf Hair. The more I let myself enjoy combat the more animalistic I become. I thought it was a pretty cool racial trait." he said with a smirk.
The use of her Martyr Spear skill did not slip past him unnoticed though. There was a smirk that showed his admiration for her ability to dual task. The most useful and skillful healers were often the ones who could find time to deal damage while playing their support role. Giving Kitty a thumbs up he turned his gaze back to the battle as he felt the familiar warmth of reactive heal wash over his skin. It was time to finish this and it seemed that there was only one boar left which he didn't even plan to let move any further let alone call for assistance.
Drawing his blade he advanced upon the remaining boar that was locked in combat with Takoda's salamander. The boar would be engaged in combat that it would most likely be aware of the approaching doom. Raising his sword in the air, he turned it upside down and with both hands plunged it down into the boar. As per usual there was an explosion of data and coins which greeted his thrust. These mobs were no real challenge to the group, next time they would have to find a low level field boss or something. That required some leveling, however, something he hoped everyone would commit to doing so they could survive in this new world.
Returning the blade to the scabbard behind his shield, Balore sighed happily. He was pleased with the way things went, though admittedly he hoped that soon they would be able to take on some real combat. There was word that something was happening in the rail station underground tunnels, perhaps they should be part of the groups investigating. Putting his weapons on his back, he turned to the rest of the group and put his hands on the back of his head. "That was a lot of fun." he said, smiling. "Have any of you guys heard the rumors about the tunnels in the railway?" he asked. He made it his duty to keep tabs on what was going on, always looking for a way to prove his heroism.
"I was thinking if we could level up enough we could be part of the exploration teams. They're saying there is a bit of an infestation down there." he said. It was clear by the look in his eyes that he was probably going to get them into a lot of trouble in days to come. He always had the best intentions but sometimes he had a way of finding trouble before it found him. "Nice healing by the way, Kitty. I wasn't even paying attention to my health." he said.
