[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Bast [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Robert Bran Finnigan [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 21 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Bisexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Peyre, Snow by Night [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Bsword [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] His In game appearance is practically the same as his real appearance, not actually by choice but thanks to his entire house hold buying the game they had all set up their computers in one room and each chose their class and race but had then each of the other house mates teamed up to create the others appearance in the likeness of the owner of the character. Of cause a penalty for being the easiest to copy in drink and payment of round order when they got to the pub, was included in this game, guess who paid the first round and drank the most on this account. A small goatee, he had tried the beard thing and found few jobs and fewer ladies liked the look. Brown hair with a ting of gingery flair thrown in another reason he didn’t keep the beard he was unlucky enough to have major red face when it came to his beards hair but it got darker round his chin so he left that little ember to shine on his face. Below average in size but he had taken enough beatings and given enough in his school and college days that he stood straighter and with a flair that made him look taller than he was. No his size wasn’t anything that vexed him… his palm size on the other hand, having small girlish hands was an annoyance that when people had tried insinuating its connection to another bodily organ on his part had led to a few blows on occasion… all deserving of course. With broad shoulders and a slightly chiselled, more so ragged bone structure he looked strong at times, sadly at that level people think that showing him up will make them look better in front of girls but not strong enough to actually make them rethink that kind of decision making. His hair a constant mess he nearly always wore a hat no matter the weathers need for it or not. He didn’t really own anything fancy choosing t-shirts with comedic slogans on in reality or/and anything that kept him comfortable. Even on a night out in the town he would usually be in jacket, though in a club it usually ended up wrapped around his waist, he went to these gigs thinking more about feeling happy and relaxed, rather than the whole prettied up uncomfortable thing most do. His Preference in games was usually anything that looked one of the reason he had stopped picking female characters in these kind of things the armour sets for them always seemed far too outside of realisms scope, that after his high school period of liking the idea of such things and whole watching a lasses ass rather than a guy’s thing; That playing male became in his eyes the only options really… well other than when the only choice for men are militarized baled cuts. That kind of look was something he never wanted in a character. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Emotions can and will get the better of him, when push comes to shove, he has no real poker face and though this should have been a bane to his existence the amount of times he has played the game, he never plays for money only for fun, clothes or forcible intakes of large supplies of alcohol, no fun in a card game if you aren’t drunk or have no idea where your pants went by the end of it right? He likes to strategies, and come up with a dead fast plan for the situation but will nearly always end up throwing parts of it out the window when the time comes to run it, flying off the new information he can gather and play with… or the emotion if (or maybe that should be when) such a time as one of his emotions gets the better of him. Normally optimistic about situations, he loves novelty and change more than most. And given an opportunity will sit theorising and imagining how things could have happened, could develop to and might at this moment be doing. His conversations at first can be taken seriously by people that don’t know him but soon enough, everyone finds their own way of shutting out the constant flow of possibilities the lad brings up. And most start to notice how he falls so easily into habits, many even helping him to fall into them. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] The Son of a Irish Protestant Lass and a half catholic scot (the other half changing as he felt like it from star wars jedi to spaghetti monsters and gods of things lost behind the cushions of sofas) his religious belief had broken into a joke at a young age, only visiting church for beavers till he found they were prudish enough not to let an Indian lad one of his friends in just because the lad believed in another faith really, what did faith have to do with camping and being good to others? When he reached that important age you know eleven or so he started asking the world the important questions, you know, why do girls look different, what should he do with the rest of his life and in fact what do my parents do for a living? Those things you had no need asking yourself earlier in life… at all, why would any of those things come up? He had been more preoccupied with questions like how does one make it around the world in one night delivering presents to every child in the world without forgetting a single child or you know combusting in a large ball of flame and fat at such speeds. High school had been a time to get acquainted with his brain and body, well he soon got annoyed at people mentioning sizes of palms to a certain body parts ratio, or in fact to his early beards growth and its effect on the colouring of his face. Violence wasn’t always his response but it was enough of the time that he obtained enough detentions for teachers to question his control of such things. But his grades never slipped and he no one really ever held his fights against him… hell if he threw the first punch in a fight he admitted it every time, a lad that honest, people usually found it hard to hate, not that everyone loved him… just few could call the emotion they felt to him as hate. He ended up in a tech college and although at first he felt the loss of male to female ratio, he made up for this in his night life… and started to appreciate the idea he had never really thought about till then. He still preferred the concept of women but liked the common ground he found in those days and could see no reason why he should hold shut the idea that love might be possible to find with those more similar to himself. But college wasn’t only a time of new found perspectives it was a time to work, after all that was why he went to college in the first place wasn’t it to learn and work through to better skills? He liked the softer end of tech the programming and the playing around with photoshop and flash were a fun bonus. The programming was what he excelled at, the creating of routes of questions and statements to help create a process were all what he desired. This in itself led him to a bunch of friends that forced him into two clubs morris and chess. Morris led him to one of the few girls in the college and chess one of the few boys he found appealing. While morris was a teaching of how to dance in a manner even when drunk, the chess helped him plot, plan strategies. He loved both subjects and became close with members on both sides, though he had a major weakness found in chess that though he was brilliant at planning a head to beat the opponent, he was too protective of his pieces while calm and too easily pushed with the right words out of calm and out of his strategy. So he was never a tournament player. University he found his place in the world, he could go dancing and drinking on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. While playing games and plotting his projects at the same time he enjoyed the life of a student, even with the decrease it time for such things with each year and the whole cheap food thing and strange hours running to lectures be thy sober or not. And with his house mates in his last year he bought the game like they had done with so many other games and set out for another set of weeks of gaming fun…with maybe a few dares and thrown in extra drinking bets while they played. As the equipment bonuses and stats of the designated ally are not transferred over it generally deals weaker damage but even so, it would result in additional damage being dealt to the target enemy. If copying a summoner it can deal considerable damage. When used, there is a guitar-like SE and a shining effect. The copy attack will be a beat behind the original. [attr="class","skill"] Disassembly : Toggle skill. Mechanics have a certain affinity with taking apart machines, so monsters that are mechanical in nature had better watch out. Mechanics deal 20% more damage to Machine-type monsters. They can also cancel buffs on Machine-type monsters upon a successful hit. [attr="class","skill"] Prediction : The fortuneteller is able to see into the future and predict certain situations. This skill allows them to survey an area of radius 5 meters from their current position. All monsters that will spawn within the next 5 minutes will appear as semi-transparent figures with timers above their heads showing their spawn time. This information is only visible to the Fortuneteller. While some Fortunetellers use this as a way to avoid trouble, there's been a number of field boss hunters who like to have one with them so that they can predict the incoming monster and make preparations. [attr="class","skill"] Battle Conduct : Attack skill. The Bard strikes the target directly with the musical instrument, making the sound of a high-pitched whistle on contact. This attack deals damage no different from a regular attack, but it will cause an ! to appear above the target's head. While this icon is active, an affected monster will not acquire aggro from any other targets other than its current target, no matter what effects or attacks are initiated against it. The icon appearance is short and therefore requires synchronized timing from the party to take the opportunity and beat down the opponent. On forums, this skill is popularly known as "Wolf Pack", "Beatdown Order" or "It's Hunting Time" among other nicknames. This skill has an animation time of 0.5 seconds, a duration of 5 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds. At Level 30 and 60, the duration increases to 10 and 15 seconds respectively. [attr="class","skill"] Resonance Beat : Imbues a tune onto a weapon that allows the weapon to cause a shockwave on impact with the target's body. From this point on, the remnant shockwave remains on the target's body and acts like a time bomb ready to be set off by another attack. If the target is struck by an attack while Resonance Beat is still active, they suffer an increased amount of damage on the second blow. It is such that Bards who use percussion instruments and repeatedly use Resonance Beat are called "Drummers" or "Taiko masters". This skill has a casting time of 1 second and a cooldown of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"] Speed Sword Etude : A lively song that makes one want to rush into battle. This tune causes all nearby party members' attack speeds to rise. This skill has a duration of 60 seconds and a cooldown time of 30 seconds. If it is used on a target that is currently affected by this buff, its duration resets to the full 60 second duration. [attr="class","skill"]Equipment Mastery: Ranged: Passive. An Adventurer skill that provides weapon proficiency of bows, crossbows, and throwing weapons. Normally, classes that are incompatible with certain types of weapons suffer damage and accuracy penalties when using the weapon in question. Possession of an equipment mastery skill negates this penalty for that specified weapon type. Generally, there are reasons behind why certain classes focus on certain weapon types. Taking this skill provides some level of versatility, but be warned that some of your main class skills might prove incompatible with this new fighting style. If the character's class is already able to use one of these weapon types normally, that weapon type does not gain any additional effects through taking this skill. [attr="class","skill"]Meditation Nocturne: A relaxing melody that gradually regenerates party members' MP. This restoration is moreso apparent outside of battle, but it might come of practical use in the middle of a grueling raid. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds, a duration of 60 seconds, and a cooldown of 65 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Equipment Mastery: Heavy Armor: Passive. An Adventurer skill that provides weapon proficiency of heavy armor. This skill does nothing if the character's class is already able to use heavy armor normally. [attr="class","skill"]Phantom Ensemble: The user plays an oppressive song that generates an air current from the musical instrument, which blows up to a radius of 1.5 meters from the bard. The closer an opponent gets within the radius, the stronger the wind is and the more likely they would be blown away unless they are strong enough to withstand the effect. Continuously using this skill drains MP at an extremely fast rate, so it's best used only as an emergency defense. This skill has a casting time of 0.5 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds the moment it is interrupted. [attr="class","skill"]Quick Swap: A skill that facilitates the quick switching of weapons from the user's equipment to their inventory. While many characters use quick slots in order to swap out their weapons, this requires a manual action. The use of Quick Swap does this exchange automatically. This switching can only be done with two equipment sets at a time, both of which are registered prior to the start of battle. When Quick Swap is used, the current equipment set will be swapped out to the other set designated by the skill. Due to the nature of this skill, it is best used by characters of the Weapon Specialist classes. This skill has an animation time of 1 second. Its cooldown if used by a Weapon Specialist class is 30 seconds which increases to 60 seconds if used by any other class. [attr="class","skill"]Cardinal Rose: A skill that distinguishes a character's ability to be a good navigator. It is a toggle skill that uses a negligible amount of mana when it is activated, causing an icon of a compass to appear in the bottom right corner of the character's vision. As long as this skill is active, the character will always know which direction is north. This skill is particularly effective when exploring in uncharted territory. [attr="class","skill"]Aggression Orchestra: The Bard plays a heartrending tune that resonates through the hearts of all who hear it. Allies interpret it as an invigorating tune that boosts their battle performance, raising their damage and critical hit chances. Meanwhile, opponents are psychologically pressure by a perceived oppressive feeling, lowering all their stats in return. Not only this, but this song also delivers occasional shock waves which stuns an enemy's body for split seconds. Although these waves ultimately don't contribute to any apparent physical effect, their random interval recurrences prevent an enemy from relaxing. The cooldown of this skill is 15 seconds, and it applies as soon as the Bard stops playing their instrument. [attr="class","skill"]Electrifying Crescendo: An evolution of Feedback Resonance, the Bard plays a high tone and causes a sound effect not unlike the sound of an electric guitar for a moment. This skill releases a shockwave from the Bard outward with a radius of two meters, dealing minor Lightning damage. Anything within this boundary has its balance thrown off for a few seconds, resulting in a forced stun effect for two seconds and an accuracy/evasion debuff for thirty seconds. Oddly enough, this sound effect is constant for all musical instruments used to activate the skill, so anyone can temporarily turn into a rock band for a split second. The status debuff classification of this skill is Slow. There is a ten second cooldown after each use of this skill, and any opponents affected by this skill's effect cannot be affected by its debuffs again for thirty seconds.
