He is roughly 170 pounds of muscle, though most would not notice it just by looking at him. While he is not muscularly bulgy, his body type is athletic. Standing at six feet tall, Alex never feels as if his size is anything special. His facial features are rather Romanesque. Full red lips center on his mouth and usually draw a good bit of attention. Alex can often be found with a rough stubble beard that shades his face, never growing beyond the so called five o’clock shadow. What most people find intriguing are Alex’s eyes. Both of his eyes have the central heterochroma trait, with orange as the central ring color and Blue as the out color. The eyes contain a deep piercing gaze that enthralls most who look into them. His jet black hair falls down to his mid back and usually covers the sides of his face. The texture of his hair is rather thick but soft and generally uncombed. The shade of his skin can be described as a light tan, though not so much tropical in glimmer. Alex usually only made minor changes to his characters appearance. Often his characters have shorted hair never going beyond the jaw line and were cleaner shaven. Questing Look, Questing Look, Lazy Days, Lazy Days, In towns [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Alex had never really felt like he had many friends. The truth was he didn’t really like people that much. From an early age though Alex learned that appropriate social behavior dictated a certain level of social activity or else people would become even more of an annoyance. It wasn’t hard from there to make the leap to after school clubs, faking smiles to seem pleasant, listening to every word so people assumed he cared, it was all just so they would not pry more than they should. It was only in Elder Tale that Alex found he had people with anything in common. Most of them never pried into his life. They all had persona’s that left the real world behind. Unfortunately for Alex he had a natural charisma and leadership which was ever present in real life. But in the game it was different, he could hide these facts behind the character, since it wasn’t actually him in the game anyway. One trait he carried in both worlds was the ability to remain calm in most situations. Though some people confused his calmness with apathy, much to his annoyance. It was never fun to explain that while he probably didn’t actually care, he had to smile and explain that he simply had not paid attention to someone or something. Though in Elder Tales sometimes he would lay in the wild with friends and stare into fields of azure. Alex loved to look at the sky, no matter what reality that sky was in. He did have to work on his sarcasm, which came as naturally as every breath of air, when he arrived in England. Also his tendency to be annoyed with sheer ignorance. Stupidity could be forgiven but ignorance was one of the traits he despised in people. Alex would often gladly take advantage of someone who remained intentionally ignorant of information that could be easily obtained. Usually the only time he was glad for his charismatic nature. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Alex had one of those childhoods that was hard to come by. Both parents had been good role models and took active interests in his life. Full time jobs, one as an academic and the other as an engineer, never stopped them from helping Alex with homework of making it to any of his after school activities. He lived his entire childhood in San Francisco California with ample opportunity to travel the globe in the summer with his mother, a well-known anthropologist. In high school Alex played the violin, practiced tai-chi on the weekends, and was in the chess club. Alex had been a smart child but by no means was he a genius. It was due to his excellent memory, which verged on Eidetic, which allowed him the free time from school to be so active. Since Alex always took school seriously and made efforts to engage in activities after school his parents had no problems with Elder Tales. Alex had played the game since slightly after its initial launch date. Before his departure from the North American server Alex had been a max level Half-Alv Druid, Scribe, Merchant. When he graduated high school and moved to England to attend the Imperial College London. With a major of physics, specifically a specialization in astrophysics, much of the free time he once had was gone. Any free time was devoted to Elder Tales but the time difference didn’t allow him to enjoy the game as he used to. When not only an expansion was released but a British server as well Alex was overjoyed. He was more than happy to start from the beginning to explore the brave new world. This time however he would make sure he had a completely new experience. Race and classes had to be different, especially since he could always just log back onto the American server to play his old character if he wanted to. In honor of the new British server Alex decided to name his character after romans that lived in the British province of Albion. In the spirit of change and inventiveness Alex chose a race and class the normally never went together. If he didn’t work out it wasn’t much of a big deal. Even in Elder Tales you could always just start over. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] Usually plays a healer class. Loves dogs. The Sorcerer jumps in a direction and teleports about 1-5 meters away in the desired position. The only downside is that the teleportation distance is very haphazard and might actually not move you very far. Still, it's a useful means of misdirection especially when you're up against only one enemy. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Inferno Strike: [Tier I Skill] Elemental enchantment. The Sorcerer enchants a weapon with the flame element, causing it to glow red and release occasional small embers. A target struck by the weapon at this time can be ignited, causing minor damage over time. Because of the direct hit necessary to activate this skill, it is a slightly risky strategy. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds, a duration of 300 seconds, and a cooldown of 60 seconds. If this skill is used on a weapon that is already affected by an elemental enchant, the previous elemental enchantment is overwritten. [attr="class","skill"]Serpent Bolt: [Tier I Skill] A spell that shoots an initial blue-purple lightning bolt toward a target. However, rather than discharging entirely on the target on contact, the lightning remains as static energy. For 30 seconds at about 3-second intervals, the electricity arcs away from the target to damage and stun any other nearby enemies. As a result, it serves as a slight deterrent against defensive formations. Although this spell has a fairly long cooldown time, it has a fast casting speed and is often favored for use at the beginning of a battle. Because the target used to channel the electricity is not damaged by the spell, many Sorcerers also tend to cast it on themselves or a teammate as a supportive offense. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 45 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Mana Arrow: [Tier I Skill] A non-elemental skill with fairly low base damage that resembles a thin white-colored laser beam. It makes up for this inherent weakness by its low cooldown and possessing the ability to homing on a moving opponent. Particularly agile enemies can still outrun and dodge the arrow, while others can still lead the projectile into an obstacle. This skill has a casting time of 1 second and a cooldown of 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Orb of Lava: [Tier I Skill] A ranged Fire-element magic that hurls a fist-sized orb of lava onto enemies. This lava ball bounces across enemy targets, dealing damage on impact. Since this skill is Fire-based, this is very effective against enemies weak against fire. One well-known trait of this skill is that it does not affect allies during combat, making it a popular skill among players. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Frost Spear: [Tier I Skill] Impales a single target using an icicle spear for Ice-element damage. This skill inflicts a slowing debuff on the target, as well as increasing its defense for the duration. Many players learn this skill for its balance of damage, casting time, and utility that is a notch above most Sorcerer skills. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 15 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Icicle Impale: [Tier I Skill] Elemental enchantment. The Sorcerer enchants a weapon with the ice element, causing it to glow blue and seemingly crystallize as though it were encased in ice. If an opponent's weapon makes direct contact with the enchanted weapon at this time, it will freeze and become more difficult to wield, lowering the opponent's attack speed. Likewise, if the enchanted blade comes in direct contact with the opponent's body, the opponent will be slowed for a little while. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds, a duration of 300 seconds, and a cooldown of 60 seconds. If this skill is used on a weapon that is already affected by an elemental enchant, the previous elemental enchantment is overwritten. [attr="class","skill"]Heatsink: Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. [attr="class","skill"]Evaluate: This skill allows the scholar to gain additional details about the enemy. While most players can access an interface that shows the monster's name, level, current HP, and current MP, the scholar obtains an additional interface when this skill is used. It has a one second cast time and one second cooldown time. The target's elemental weaknesses and a brief summary of their skills will be made available to the Scholar any time they access the target's interface.
