The first release of the expansion patch notes is here. We are adding in a lot of new content and zones with this patch as well as updating skills and classes that need some love. These notes aren't complete and we will still be adding in more stuff over the next week like additional skills, updates and other things we think of.
Classes-
All primary classes are going to be receiving new skills. These new skills will be marked with an orange asterix next to their name to help identify them as a new skill.
We are still in the process of fixing them up and putting them in code so be patient.
All classes now start with 3 skills instead of 1. Existing characters will be able to get 2 extra skills.
All classes have also received a new class unique buff ability to help their party. These are considered beginner skills and have been added to class skill lists. All players start with these skills and all existing characters now have them.
The Heretic class has been unlocked. It is available in the classes section.
The Warden class has been unlocked. It is available in the classes section.
Skills-
Skill skins are in the works. You will be able to customize the look of a skill with a shop item
Zones-
New primary zone Avon has been added. It contains many sub zones.
Snowdonia has been added. This is for large events as well as pvp.
More zones to come in the future
A special update to zones is also in the works
Items-
Wands now give a small bonus to casting speed. (10%)
2 handed Staff now gives a bonus to magic potency. (25%)
Warden armor has been added. It is a special armor type similar to chain. It is crafted by mechanics and cannot be upgraded with the Blacksmith's heatsink skill.
Warden shields have been added. They are crafted by blacksmiths
Crystal Orbs have been added. Orbs decrease MP cost of spells by 10%.These are created by the Artisan class
Hex dolls have been added. They increase magic potency by 10%. They are made by woodworkers
Grimoires now have a 10% bonus to cooldown reduction.
Equipment caps are going to be raised in the next few days.
The following technologies have been discovered from explorations of the Londinium Underground-
Primitive firearms. The ability to create guns which deal physical damage has been discovered via blueprints. There are currently only plans for single shot weapons. They do higher damage than an arrow, but take more time to reload after each shot.
Not so advanced magitech. The ability to create basic magitech weaponry including guns and swords has been unlocked. The guns use batteries as an ammunition system and must be supplemented with the user's MP in order to fire.
They must charge up first before firing.
Magitech blades of small size such as daggers and spearheads are now craftable. They are more magical in nature and consume a small amount of MP with each hit.
(note these are not lightsabers)
Minor Steam engines. They can't do very much yet, but it might push something small around town.
Audio magitech storage- Some small stones have been discovered that can playback a small amount of audio. They are in a dormant state until powered by magitech.
Adventurers are starting to understand how trains work and can now create and repair railroad tracks and do basic framing for trolley sized vehicles.
Cotton gin. For some reason, somebody thought it was a good idea to bring one of these back. It's the hottest thing with landers since the sliced bread an adventurer brought back last month.
More technologies to come
Crafting-
We are working on this and taking ideas. This is going to be the focus of our next big update.
Races-
People of the land have been available to choose for awhile, but nobody has taken advantage of it. So Landers of the major races are being added. The difference will be reflected in your character sheet and not as you post. Other players will not be able to tell you are a lander unless you tell them, but they may think you are a little odd.
Note- People die when they are killed.
Lander NPCs- It will soon be possible to RP as a NPC lander. We will be working on a list of characters that we will have available for people to play as and will open a public NPC listing. NPCs you'd like to share with others can be submitted into the public listing. Those you'd like to keep more privately can be submitted as a character. This idea is still being hammered out and is a WIP.
Beastiary-
We are now opening up custom monster creation for most zones. We will have a sticky in each zone where you can submit custom monsters you have used in your threads for others to see and use. Feel free to create your own custom monsters (within reason) to RP with. We want to give more freedom for people to have fun outside of our baselines.
AP bonuses- We are going to be having an increased AP gain event. We'l be announcing the details over the next few days as well as the specifics for veteran players who wish to make a character of the new classes or switch classes.
These notes aren't complete. We'l be updating this and adding in new stuff as we continue to get everything sorted out and receive more suggestions. We love to see your comments, thoughts and suggestions. Please put them in the suggestions forum and we'l try to work with it as best we can.
V2-
AP bonus event
Starting on Oct 4th until November 4th any posts made will receive double the normal AP reward for a 100% boost. This applies to main classes only
Posts made to claim AP on crafting and subclasses will receive a 50% boost to AP.
Veteran players will now have the option to change classes. Purchase a subclass change potion and submit a ticket normally for that to change. Players lv10 or higher will start off their new class at level 10. This bonus will also apply to new characters if they choose to make a new one.
After the double AP event has ended, veterans will retain a permanent 50% bonus to AP on alts/new main classes until they reach a level equal to that of their highest.
Starting after the double AP event, all monthly events will grant a 50% bonus in AP for participation. This bonus will stack with the veteran AP bonus.
Guild bonuses are overridden, but mentor bonuses are still applicable.
V3
Personal Housing is officially available. You can purchase up to a level 2 house for yourself and have access to level 2 rooms. If you want anything higher, then you'l need a guild house. Your first home will cost 5000 gold, any additional homes will be at the list price of 25,000.
Crafting/subclasses
Active housekeepers within a guild will now give a small bonus to the primary stats of guild members for keeping the house clean at least once a month. This only applies to guild members and if the guild owns a home.
Artisans and Woodcrafters now have access to create Monuments. These are special types of creations that the artist uses to leave their mark in a certain area. The method used to do this is up to the adventurer, however more highly visible works such as sculptures or murals are more common. The larger the size of the Monument, the larger the beneficial effect it will have upon those who gaze upon it up close. The larger it is however, the more posts and detail will be required in it's creation as well. The monuments and how they receive bonuses are shrouded in mystery. The creator may attempt for specific buff effects of their Monument, but it may not always receive the desired effects. The amount and quality of the materials used will also effect the outcome. Adventurers who visit or gaze upon a monument will receive it's benefits for the duration of their thread.
Brewers and Pharmacists are getting a semi-merge. Due to the similar nature of these 2 classes, members of each class will have access to the other's crafting lists. Picking Brewer or Pharmacist will be primarily for flair and class focus and will determine which set of skills you receive.
Artisans and Woodcrafts are getting a semi-merge. Due to the similar nature of these 2 classes, members of each class will have access to the other's crafting lists. Picking Artisan or Woodcrafter will be primarily for flair and class focus and will determine which set of skills you receive.
Personal land mounts are now available. These are summoned via a special whistle made by experienced woodcrafters. They will only last a short while and have a very very long cooldown. Horses summoned by this way have very little HP and will dismount their rider and run at the first sign of danger. Higher level woodcrafters can increase the active summon time and reduce cooldown. Cavalier personal mounts are unchanged. (As in Cavaliers have permanent mounts and with their leveled skills can use their mount in battle)
Economy- We are currently working on making gold and some of the economy have a little more meaning. We are looking for ideas and suggestions.
Technologies-
Adventurers have figured out how to make ship hulls of up to medium sized ships for river and coastal use. The seas are too rough to sail in if you get too far from land.
Refrigeration- A working magitech refrigerator from Alv times was brought back and successfully reverse engineered.
V4
A short update.
The Monthly Contest for October is now available.
The promised Halloween event has arrived. Can you solve the mysteries of the Purple Mirror Mansion?
