[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]MASAMI [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: SÉARLAIT MALLON [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female (although often mistaken for a boy) [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Female (although people often mistake her for a boy) [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 16 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Bisexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: makoto kikuchi, IDOLM@STER [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Ryo [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] SÉARLAIT has an average height for a girl her age not being particularly tall or short, she is however athletically fit with a fair bit of muscle tone and a slim figure. Growing up she always felt more comfortable wearing boy’s clothes and keeps her hair short to avoid having to deal with any extra work from messing with her hair in the mornings. In public SÉARLAIT gives off a large air of confidence that can be seen in how she walks and talks with other people, enjoying the company of other people but also not tolerating people getting picked on or talked down so it tends to earn her more than a few shares of a “knight in shining armor Epersona. This combined with how much she looks and acts like a tomboy all the time has earned quite a few female love interests, which she tries to handle as civil as possible. In the game her character looks very similar to the way she does, if only maybe a few centimeters shorter. Masami also tries to act a bit more feminine in the game but is usually highly unsuccessful due to it clashing with her regular personality at times. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]SÉARLAIT is a very energetic and outspoken girl. A tomboy at heart she enjoys playing sports and other activities with the boys at her school. Her personality can be described as being very high energy and quick on emotion. She never backs down from a challenge once someone has put one up to her and will do everything she can to finish it, earning more than her fair share of bruises to put some of the local boys to shame. As being quick to emotion she is easily upset or angered if someone is being rude or mean and SÉARLAIT won’t hesitate to jump in and defend the person being harassed or defend herself if the bully chose her. In Elder Tale Masami has tried to tone back the harsher side of her tomboy personality but it still shows through on regular occasions. To the point where people she played with would often mistake her for being a boy, a confusion she already got much too frequently back in the real world. Instead, here in Elder Tale Masami tried to focus more on her dreams of becoming an idol and put more energy into entertaining people virtually until she could start making a name for herself out in the world. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]SÉARLAIT was born in and spent most of her childhood in Japan’s Nagano district. After her mother passed away, she and her father moved to Ireland in the coastal port town of Cobh where most of her family on her father’s side lived. It was around this time when she was about twelve her father began pushing more that she take up more sports after trying to get a son but never ended up with one. This didn’t bother the young girl at first since she liked playing with the boys her age and even felt happy that her father didn’t mind if she came back home dirty and grass stained. In school SÉARLAIT was often mistaken for a boy because of the way she dressed and kept her appearance. As well as her tomboy personality wasn’t helping much anyway, this did however earn the girl quite a large following of female admirers. A development that was welcomed to a point, but also became tiring since she also wanted boys to notice her too. She managed to get noticed, although more from respect after protecting a young first year that was getting picked on by an older fourth year boy. That incident earned her more female admirers, but also respect from the males in the school as well. Which was a start but it still caused her to become a bit depressed when thinking about it. However as the girl grew older into her early teen years SÉARLAIT began wanting do more things with other girls. Even going shopping and buying a new skirt was met with fierce resistance when she got home. Another area which she never shared was she rapidly began taking an interest in singing and everything relating to pop music, a secret she only starting sharing when she started playing a game called Elder Tale. This mmo game allowed SÉARLAIT, now called Masami from her avatar name, a chance to have an outlet for entertaining other people without letting her father know about it. As an attack it is average but upon use, it boosts the bard's evasion rate for a certain period of time so it is popular among front-line bards as it increases their survivability. One peculiarity about this skill is that the attack motions and dance are rather elaborate. When using a sword, it is like a sword dance, if a spear it will be used as a baton constantly twirling round and round at high speeds. There are different motions for every kind of weapon. The motions for the giant scythe would be to take the huge weapon and to spin it around like one would a pencil and is quite the sight to behold. [attr="class","skill"]Scarlet Symphony: Tier I Skill The Bard plays a song as a menacing red mist starts to form around them. Then, after two seconds, the Bard's mana mixes with the aura to create blood-red blades that swirl around the Bard in a small circle of two feet in radius. Opponents struck by the skill suffer a bleeding damage over time debuff. This skill has a minimum casting time of 2 seconds. The cooldown of this skill is 15 seconds, and it applies as soon as the Bard stops playing their instrument. [attr="class","skill"]Sonic Cutter: Tier I Skill The Bard amplifies sound waves to deliver a concentrated burst of destructive interference at a target. A cutting-wave projectile is shot forward, reaching up to 10 meters before dissipating. This skill is considered a wind-type attack and deals greater damage when used in close range. Additionally, if Resonance Beat was used immediately prior to this skill, its range increases by an additional 5 meters. Due to its low cooldown and moderate DPS capacity, it is a popular skill used by the rare solo Bard. This skill has a casting time of 1 second and a cooldown of 6 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Needlework: Level 1 Skill Due to the dexterity from which they perform their tasks, tailors are able to make up for any compromises in their ability. Any dexterity debuffs to a tailor can be recovered from twice as quickly. [attr="class","skill"]Pacifying Dance: Level 1 Skill A skill that allows the dancer to perform beautiful dances to momentarily captivate those who see it. It might cause hostile monsters and People of the Land to stop fighting the dancer and their party for a few moments. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Light's Transcendence - A set of light armor that allows the wear to have free range of movement for more acrobatic combat or lighter dancing movements. It has been crafted to resemble clothes worn by Magical Girls from anime in the real world and reforged to give resistances to the magical variety. Gives a very slight boost to Wisdom. [attr="class","skill"]Starter Scythe: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron and wood. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. [attr="class","skill"]Starter Scythe: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron and wood.
