[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Esperia [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Elise Von Eisenberg [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 20 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Homosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Necro-san, Original by CH@R [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Tsuyuri [attr="class","bi2"]FACTION: Adventurer [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]The first thing people likely notice when meeting Elise is her fragile looks. Standing at a mere 5 feet and 2 inches tall the girl's small frame and slender figure often make people compare her to a little doll. To amplify this feeling even further, Elise has a soft and smooth skin, derived of most blemishes what is likely made possible thanks to the careful treatment of her appearance. To go further into detail about her looks, Elise has long black hair that naturally runs down all the way to the middle of her back. She's surprisingly fond of it, often spending hours just brushing it to keep a tidy look. Aside from that another noticeable feature would likely be her eyes. A pair of yellow-colored irises fill her large eyes. On terms of feminine features, that is a subject Elise prefers to avoid at all costs. While the young lady is already at the age of 20 she remains quite underdeveloped, to the point some might mistake her as a teenager. It actually is quite a source of irritation for her, for she secretly fears that Rebecca might dislike her childish looks. For her outfit, one could say that Elise's background easily is shown in this part of her appearance. Due to being the heiress to the Von Eisenberg, Elise often tries to appear lady-like, and most of her outfits range from elegant dresses to cute uniforms that compliment her innocent, youthful features. In Elder Tale Elise retains most of her original appearance, aside from the fact that she grows a pair of furry ears and a fox tail as part of her racial features. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]When people first interact with Elise, the first thing they would likely notice is that she's surprisingly gentle and soft-spoken around most people. Due to her background Elise has grown up with a high awareness of the reputation of her family, and as a result she often tries to act like a well-mannered lady in public. To most she will appear like a caring and cheerful girl whose sheltered upbringing has left her a little bit more innocent and naive than most people, there is a rather curious thing about this side of Elise, in the sense that this type of demeanor is in fact a forced way of acting. Elise knows all too well that people often act different from how they are in an attempt to leave a certain impression on others, and despite her strong dislike of such behavior the girl finds herself guilty of often doing the same. The truth is that Elise could be considered a bit of a spoiled girl. Having had people fend for every possible need she might have, the girl has grown up to be surprisingly lacking in independence, an understandable fact with maids and butlers serving her at every whim. As a result she often is considered a bit happy-go lucky and someone who goes at her own pace, and if there is one activity she loves the most, then it's most certainly taking a nap. However, if there is one way to see Elise's attitude without any restrains then it's most likely around her lover Rebecca. Knowing Rebecca since they were children the girl shows a much more open approach to interacting with her. Not only is she known to speak more casually, but she also is prone to show her negative aspects more easily. Rebecca is someone she depends on a lot, and this alongside her love for the young woman has caused Elise to be extremely affectionate toward her, but also something that borders on possessive. It's often said that anywhere Rebecca goes, Elise is prone to be right by her side. Of course there is a reason why Elise cares so much about Rebecca. Ever since she was saved by her from that dangerous accident a deep sense of loyalty and gratitude was born inside the girl, her desire to repay Rebecca's deed, and the kindness she has shown in their friendship up till now still lingering in her heart. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Every story, no matter how small or insignificant it might seem, deserves to be told. In the end, history isn't made up only out of legends and fairy-tales. Sometimes it's the often mundane tales that end up concealing a hidden beauty within them. The story of Elise and Rebecca is such a tale. For today's tale, we shall look into Elise's side of the story. The Von Eisenberg are a rather prestigious family. Having established themselves as a major source of development in the pharmaceutical industry, their discoveries might had been part of the reason why they became such a famous and wealthy family. However, our story does not focus onto those discoveries that caused the Von Eisenberg their rise to a status that might had once been considered nobility, but rather... the life of their daughter. If there was one way to describe Elise then 'a naive little princess' would have been an excellent way to go about it. The girl's parents had always been incredibly dotting and protective over her. Not only did the estate where she lived in contain a whole legion of maids and butlers to serve her every whim, but she was even schooled by talented tutors. As a result it caused Elise to lack a lot of the important knowledge and experience that most people ended up experiencing during their childhood. When Elise started growing up as a child, the girl started to notice the effect her background had upon her. She could still remember it in detail, that tense feeling at one of her father's balls that was held to celebrate some event. She had no idea who half of those people were, nor did she even know what the occasion was but the way everyone acted so proper left Elise feeling stiff. If there was one thing she hated then it was when people acted different from how they were, for it felt like they were wearing invisible masks. However, it was also at one such party she met the girl, who would have become that fresh breeze of air in her existence. The nature behind their meeting was quite an amusing one. The Lancaster family was one that could be crudely described as a commoner's family, a simple middle-class family who shouldn't have belonged at a fancy party like this. However, her parents were childhood friends of the Lancaster, and as a result they retained their friendship, even with the difference in social standing. Elise had been looking at the ball that was ongoing, a hint of melancholy in her eyes when suddenly a hand grasped a hold of hers. It was a girl, one of her own age who smiled at her with a hint of mischief and after making a soft 'shh' sound to hush her into silence Elise was dragged along into the garden of their estate. The girl revealed herself to be Rebecca, the daughter of the Lancaster and that she had pulled Elise along because she thought the girl looked bored. It perplexed her, the idea that someone like Rebecca was ignoring her background and talked to her as if they were just two girls. It was the first time she felt truly alive, to be regarded as Elise, rather than the heiress of the Von Eisenberg. It was this encounter that encouraged Elise to experience more of the outside world, and with a little help of her new friend, Elise had succeeded to convince her parents to let her attend a normal school. It was quite a pleasant experience, to get to talk more to Rebecca but also to learn about the world beyond her parents' mansion. Unfortunately as the two girls grown up certain things started to happen that created an invisible rift between the two of them. Despite the friendship between the two girls there was still a large difference between the two of them. Not only did Elise's personal tutoring cause her scores to be on the top of her grade, but she was also quite a beauty in looks, causing fellow classmates to flock around her like moths to a light. Combine this with the girl's lady-like attitude in public and there were more than enough reasons for Rebecca to struggle with getting closer to her friend. It was sad, but one could say the differences between both girls had been the cause of creating this rift, and over the years what had once been close friends had been reduced to being merely classmates. It was during the second year of high school that it all changed. On the way to her home from school, for the girl dreaded the idea of having her parents send a limousine to pick her up, the girl had been unaware of the fact a car had been speeding toward her. The sound of whistling car tires, the brakes that triggered too late and the noise of the horn of the car made Elise freeze like a deer being caught in the headlights. "Elise!" A sudden shout snapped the girl out of her trance, a firm push reeling her out of the trajectory of the car, but what happened afterwards was equal to a nightmare. It was Rebecca, the girl she had once known as her best friend had pushed her out of the way, but was too late herself to entirely avoid the collision with the car. While the details about what happened afterwards were hazy, it's said that Rebecca was hospitalized with serious injuries, injuries that Elise believed were caused by her. The guilt she felt, and the memory of that one moment where she saw her friend being hit by the car left such an oppressive feeling to her. For a week she didn't dare to even think about visiting Rebecca, but when she expressed her grief to her parents, they told her that it would be up to herself to tell those feelings to Rebecca. In the end she decided to follow their advice, and with nervousness that couldn't even be matched by the feelings one might feel before an important exam, she went to the hospital. When she arrived at the hospital Rebecca seemed happy to see her, at least judging from her expression but soon a tense silence lingered between the two of them. It took at least several minutes before Elise finally gathered the courage to apologize, and to thank Rebecca for what she did when finally she asked the question that haunted her mind. Why did she save her? When Rebecca told her that the reason she saved Elise was because it was natural for her to protect her best friend, the girl felt tears gathering in her eyes. To think that Rebecca still felt like that... Soon the conversation was ignited into full power, with Elise explaining how she found the crowds of classmates that liked to follow her to be a nuisance, of how she had always hoped that Rebecca would have snatched her away from them. The excited conversation had also stirred something else in Elise, a feeling she had never felt before. There was nobody in the world who she could have as much fun with as Rebecca, nobody who cared more for her than Rebecca. Those joyous feelings made her wonder for a moment: Was she falling in love with her best friend? While Rebecca's injuries had been serious, they were fortunately not life-threatening. However, she had needed to undergo rehabilitation because the bones in her legs had been broken, and after not walking for a while one could easily say it was a difficult experience. While she wasn't certain how difficult that time might had been for Rebecca, Elise felt the need to be at her friend's side, and every day she visited the girl. From when visitor hours opened, all the way till they closed, every day talking about various things, but also to encourage her during the rehabilitation. When Rebecca had finally recovered and returned to school the one thing that Elise feared to happen, was about to repeat itself. While her parents had covered her daily visits to the hospital during the school hours as a 'family circumstance' the old habits had almost threatened to return. Surrounded by the small crowds of students who went on and on about things she didn't care about, when Rebecca did that one action that had changed their lives forever. Rebecca approached the crowd, seemingly with some idea in mind, but the thing that followed was something even Elise couldn't predict. The familiar warmth of Rebecca's hand caused Elise to smile at the girl, and attempting to support Rebecca's plan to break into the crowd Elise mentioned she'd much rather be surrounded by her friend, than a whole crowd of students but before she could finish speaking, the feeling of a pair of soft lips brushing against her own caused the girl to freeze, her cheeks flushing up brightly as she listened to Rebecca proclaiming her love for her. Of course the crowd was startled by the event, and even more when Rebecca suddenly pulled Elise out of the crowd and ran away with her, the girl's face still as red as a tomato. While after the event nothing worthy of mentioning happened, it's said that in the town they lived in Rebecca's action had led to an urban story that some jokingly call 'The princess and her knight'. For Elise and Rebecca, the few years that followed afterwards were blissful. While it certainly took a lot of effort to convince her parents about her feelings, after some heated debates they had finally given in to her desire to start dating Rebecca. Of course that doesn't explain yet how they came to be into Elder Tale. To explain that one has to look at the time when they entered college. It all began when a fellow student had told Elise about some video game, a MMORPG that was so popular it had been going strong for years. They mentioned it would have been an excellent opportunity for them to find a little distraction from their studies, and obviously Elise took the bait like a shark going after a fresh meal. Pleading with Rebecca to try out the game the two of them had just finished setting up their characters for the British server when it all happened... One moment they were in the character creation menu, and a moment later Esperia found herself in a different world... This wasn't a game... this had become their reality! Of course, it was just a minor detail to Elise. As long as she was with Rebecca it didn't matter to her what world they lived in. The wolf excels in physical offense and speed, making it an excellent companion for those wanting to improve their DPS. However, it is a little more fragile than other beginner familiars such as the Alraune, so caution should be exercised when dealing with tough monsters. The wolf's signature ability is a high-speed pounce that can bounce over to strike nearby foes within a second, although this skill does come with a cooldown of 20 seconds. The wolf's abilities and appearance becomes more impressive as the skill ranks up, increasing the familiar's size. When a Familiar summoning skill is used, any Familiars currently active are canceled. [attr="class","skill"]Heartbeat Healing: One of the Druid's signature healing spells, Heartbeat Healing is a spell that covers the target in a sparkling green light and delivers gradual HP regeneration to the target every few seconds. It is the primary and most potent spell of the healing core, with many other healing spells rotated in between. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds, a duration of 20 seconds, and a cooldown of 30 seconds [attr="class","skill"]Cure Bloom: A low-base healing ability that releases a thin pink mist with the fragrance of flowers. While it is a little weaker than the Heal spell, its quick casting speed and low cooldown makes it a very utility skill for keeping up dedicated healing on a party member. If the target is currently affected by a healing over time spell, this skill heals twice as much HP. The aesthetic effect also makes it a nice ability to have when cleaning a room, too! This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 8 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Lightning Fall: Tier I Skill The Druid raises their staff over their head and summons an electrical orb that generates chain lightning. The electricity generated from this orb travels toward the nearest opponent and then moves onto other targets if they are within 1 meter of the target. Additional targets affected by this attack are not aggroed. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Nature Revive: Tier I Skill A revival skill on par with the Cleric's Resurrection skills. It can only be used if the target has only been incapacitated within the last 10 seconds. This skill will bathe the target in blue light and resurrect them with low HP. There is also a slow HP regeneration effect upon revive. The only downside to this ability is that a target cannot be revived again by this skill for 2 minutes, so the party should quickly support them back up to a safe state as soon as possible. This skill has a casting time of 5 seconds and a cooldown of 90 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Willow Spirit: Tier I Skill The Druid calls forward earth magic to quickly sprout plant vines from the ground. These vines latch onto the closest target within range and bind them to a short walking distance until they are either cut off or wear off. Any additional opponents who make direct physical contact with the vine are also injured by its sharp thorns. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 15 seconds./div] [attr="class","skill"]Earthbeat Healing: Tier I Skill Heartbeat Healing, in the form of a full party regeneration ability. It covers the target in a sparkling blue light. Understandably, it has a longer cooldown and a slightly lower efficiency than its single-target counterpart. However, it can be stacked with Heartbeat Healing to create a steady rate of healing over time. Be careful, as this skill attracts a high amount of aggro from opponents. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds, a duration of 20 seconds, and a cooldown of 45 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Bubble Respiration: Tier I Skill A skill generally used for noncombative scouting purposes in areas where one must dive in the water. The Druid summons a large number of bubbles that cover the target's body. Upon entry into the water, the bubbles move toward the target's face and act as a temporary air source. This allows the target to breathe for two minutes underwater before having to hold their breath. Unfortunately, while this skill has a fairly low cooldown, no additional bubbles can be attached to the target once they are affected by this skill. While this skill is most effective in the water, it can be used for distractive purposes as well. If the target is hit with any attack while they are not in the water, all of the bubbles attached to the target will scatter everywhere and create a slight distraction. This skill has a casting time of 5 seconds, a maximum duration of 3 minutes, and a cooldown of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Detox:: Pharmacists have developed a certain resistance around drugs. This skill can be toggled to make a pharmacist immune to status debuffs caused by potions. Additionally, they passively recover twice as fast from poison status effects. [attr="class","skill"]Scout: The Animal Trainer attempts to recruit a monster to their cause in order to create a temporary partner. This is often done by approaching the monster without startling or aggravating it. If performed successfully, a tamed monster will fight by the Trainer's side for a few minutes before control is lost and the monster returns to the environment. Certain situations might make this duration last longer or shorter; acts of kindness toward the tamed monster will make it stick around for longer, while excessive demand will make the Trainer quickly lose favor with the monster. Only one monster can be tamed at a time at the early levels. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Leather Armor: A basic set of soft leather armor made from cheap leather. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Starter Staff: A two-handed starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap wood. It is typically used to channel magic, but can also be used to whack people on the side of the head. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can.
