As a Fox Tail, Leon has a pair of fox-like ears and a large, fluffy tail that is white at the tip, though he prefers to keep them hidden most of the time. As far as clothing goes, Leon prefers to keep an Eastern theme to his clothing, be it a jacket or his armor, he tries to look the part of a Samurai. A stranger in a strange land, a warrior without a master, Leon carries himself with an equal mix of confidence and eagerness to prove himself to others. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Leon's personality is a fairly complex one. Empathetic with a strong sense of justice, he gives help freely to those who ask for it and usually expects nothing in return. Extending beyond this, he is loyal almost to a fault when it comes to his friends and family, willing to give his support, emotional or otherwise, at a moment's notice. Just don't expect him to jump into an argument on your behalf. Despite his strong empathy for others, Leon is an introvert with a strong distaste for confrontation. If at all possible, he prefers to settle disputes peacefully, without any sort of fighting. Similarly, Leon's nature drives him to keep things that are troubling him from bothering others, yet has a hard time hiding his emotions, often causing those around him to be irritated due to what they percieve as him being moody. Aside from all this, Leon is generally laid back, optimistic and playful, causing him to naturally take up teaching roles, acting as a guide for those with less experience than him. In a bit of a running gag for those that know him, it's often joked that he acts like an oversized house-cat due to his mannerisms. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Leon was born to an upper-middle class American family, the youngest of the couple's three children. As the youngest, Leon had few responsiblities and spent most of his time reading or playing video games, especially since the next oldest brother was ten years older than he himself was. You see, Leon was a bit of an accident for his parents, who only planned on having two children. Living out in the countryside with no children nearby and two older brothers who had no interest in playing kids games, he discovered video games at a young age. Role-playing games and Beat 'em ups became fast favorites as he aged, reflecting his taste in books. He loved becoming the hero who slayed the dragon and saved the princess, a warrior who saved the world from the machinations of villains. Naturally, his grades fell as he used games and novels as an escape from reality, which his parents simply viewed as a "stage he was in" and something that he would grow out of. Unfortunately for them, thinking of real life as "boring" is something that one doesn't simply grow out of. Even in his late teens, Leon found more enjoyment in beating a game on the hardest difficulty setting than he did in anything else. This isn't to say that he wasn't a hard worker, on the contrary, Leon excelled at his job in his parent's restaurant, taking pride whenever a customer told him how much they enjoyed the food. While he attended college, mostly due to his parents' constant pushing, he really didn't excel at anything. No matter which subject he tried, which major he swapped to, he couldn't find something that interested him. As such, he was still in college on the day of the Catastrophe, undecided as to what to do with his life. To him, being trapped in a game world is both a curse and a blessing in equal measure. Free of the shackles of his boring regular life, Leon eagerly awaits the challenges facing him in this strange, yet familiar world. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"]

When used, resets any current Chain to 0. If an opponent performed an attack on you between this turn and your next turn, raise your Chain by 1. A move often used to start the battle. The Samurai issues a valiant taunt toward all enemies in the immediate area, challenging them to take up arms in a grand duel of honor. The animation of this skill is somewhat flashy and when it was a game, there were even videos of fandubs speculating what the samurai might have said. Needless to say, it carries on in this game too. After this skill is used, no other party members can be directly targeted for attacks until the beginning of your next turn. [attr="class","skill"]Mariner: Mariner: Passive skill. As opposed to the usual player's one-minute limit, the fisherman may remain submerged in the water for two minutes before having to resurface for air or suffer gradual damage. Their movement speed in the water is also not reduced compared to a player's normal speed reduction of 20%. [attr="class","skill"]Iron Stomach: Not even food poisoning can stop a dedicated chef! Chefs are immune to status debuffs caused by drinks and food. They also recover from sickness status effects twice as quickly. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Platemail: A basic set of plate armor made from cheap iron. They are not really too protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Starter Nodachi: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can.
