She can usually be seen in the real world wearing her school uniform with hair tied back into a ponytail on the side of her head. She can be a bit clumsy at times with her movement, but this is because she’s usually in a rush or not paying attention to her surroundings when she trips. In the game she looks very similar except she wears a white cape that can cover her body and decorative hat that’s more used as an accessory than a part of her armor, if her class in the game could use armor that is. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Kudryavka is rather high energy and a sociable girl at her heart. She always enjoys meeting and giving excited greetings to those she meets. However she’s also very shy and closed off, while she likes meeting lots of people, she‘s never able to open up or get close to others to further a relationship. Her high energy also carries over into a passion towards her hobbies, which include cooking, animals, and anything of the occult. She isn’t afraid to forward full force toward other pursuits as well, never being one to let herself become bored. In the game her bubbly personality is still present and had excitedly grabbed the Heretic class for its basis on occult or dark themes. However she never paid attention to the rest of the description about Heretic’s miasma being corrupting so Kudryavka, or Верный, as she called herself in the game after a warship from her home country, is possibly one of the few, if not the only Heretic that’s happy and not overly evil or hateful. Instead Верный is more than willing and happy to help others in need, but does enjoy a bit of dark dramatics in using her class even she does fail or trip up at it. Back when it was a game she also took a large amount of pleasure at reading the quest descriptions and making up stories as she went along. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Kudryavka was born and raised in St Petersburg, Russia with her parents and younger brother. At an early age Kud began taking interest in a wide variety of subject including animals, reading, English culture which she picked up from her dad who was half English, and later in her young life picking up interest in occult texts particularly those of Lovecraft. In school Kud did fairly well being one of the smarter kids in the class, but not very physical so physical education and sports proved difficult. Despite this, however, she still kept up with them and enjoyed them for what they were. When she was fourteen her family moved back to England for her father’s job. Kud was very happy about this as she grew to love England quite a bit and was taught the language with limited success. However her broken use of the English language and small build actually helped her to make a few friends at her new school, where she learned about a new expansion to the online mmo Elder Tale. By this point she already had a strong love for dark arts stuff and discovered that one of the playable classes had those features in it. Before launch Kud managed to convince her parents to get the game for her not long after the news hit about Great Britain getting their own server for Elder Tale. With the game in hand she started it up and had stopped for a moment at character selection. Not really knowing what to choose she had decided to make a slightly different form of herself as a Fox Tail, being one who enjoyed animals and especially the cuter canine foxes, best. She swiped the rest of the screens to make her class a Heretic, the new dark arts class, and skipped over reading anything about her classes corrupting skills or evil nature that people began to associate with it. Tier I Skill | A spell that places a curse somewhere on the target's body and it appears as an eye-looking insignia. The user can see from that insignia as long as the target is within 100 meters. More obvious areas means it's easier to see, but also easy for the target to notice it. If the insignia is covered completely in any way, nothing can be seen. The user must close one of their eyes to see anything from the insignia. This skill has a casting time of 5 seconds, a maximum duration of 30 minutes, and a cooldown of 1 hour. [attr="class","skill"]Gluttonous Haze: Description. Tier I Skill | The Heretic casts a spell onto a target, causing a thin black mist to surround their body. As that target deals damage to a target, the mist absorbs the Anima that was spilled by the blow and feeds it into the target's body to heal them a small amount. This spell, combined with Tainted Charity, allows the Heretic to take a slightly more support-oriented playstyle. However, keep in mind that the presence of the black aura has been linked to mood swings and aggressive among those affected by it. Gluttonous Haze has a duration of 10 seconds, a 4 second cast time, and a 20 second cooldown. While a target is affected by this skill, their Mind resistance is reduced by 1 stage. [attr="class","skill"]Tainted Charity: Description. Tier I Skill | Miasma and Anima are two sides of the same coin and so it is no surprise that Miasma can be used to restore the body. This skill heals the target by a small amount. Its animation is fairly deceptive, looking very similarly to the Heal skill. If a target who received healing from Tainted Charity is not healed again by Tainted Charity within 2 minutes, all HP restored by the skill is immediately removed. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. Tainted Charity inflicts 2 points of Corruption on the target. [attr="class","skill"]Chef: Description. Not even food poisoning can stop a dedicated chef! This skill can be toggled, allowing chefs to become immune to status debuffs caused by drinks and food. They also passively recover from sickness status effects twice as quickly. [attr="class","skill"]Scout: Description. The Animal Trainer attempts to recruit a monster to their cause in order to create a temporary partner. This is often done by approaching the monster without startling or aggravating it. If performed successfully, a tamed monster will fight by the Trainer's side for a few minutes before control is lost and the monster returns to the environment. Certain situations might make this duration last longer or shorter; acts of kindness toward the tamed monster will make it stick around for longer, while excessive demand will make the Trainer quickly lose favor with the monster. Only one monster can be tamed at a time at the early levels. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Starter Cloth Armor: A basic set of cloth armor made from cheap fabric. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Apprentice Grimoire: A one-handed apprentice’s book of spells designed for novice mages, made out of cheap materials. Doesn’t particularly have too many pages, but it is better than nothing. If used by a magic class, you get the ability to shoot a basic magic attack with a range of 2 meters. [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Starter Katana: A traditional Japanese weapon with a single edge. A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can.
