[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]Nursery Rhyme [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Helen Doolittle [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 29 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Alice/Extra Caster, FATE/EXTRA [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Nu [attr="class","bi2"]FACTION: Adventurer [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] In spite of her actual age in game, since The Calamity, Helen carries with herself the appearance of a young child. Pale, round-faced, with a pair of long twin braids, and somewhat large purple eyes, her character has a kind of fragile, cherubic, look with elements of the otherworldly. Her runes as a member of The Ceremonial Tribe have a tendency to be covered by her frills, but will glow purple like sorcerous veins of power when she exercises more strenuous magic. Helen's doll-like image is only enhanced by her choice in lolita fashion. Looking fantasy-victorican, the childlike mage carries an aura of prestige and class. She has based her character off of another who was said to be a guardian of the dreams of children. In posture, Helen typically carries herself animatedly. Experienced mmo veterans might see her uncertain and inefficient movements as the mark of a newbie. Fond of poses, a wide range of expressions, and body shaking laughter, her voice carries like a signature. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] A girl who radiates an apparent ravenous hunger for life. Carries a sense of the 'anything goes' and 'to hell with it' mentalites, once she does become invested she has a habit of getting carried away. Rather than carrying the understandable excuse of having a bipolar mentally, she instead carries a kind of hot-cold personality in which if she isn't enjoying herself her mood can turn dower. Seemingly has a third lung dedicated to sighs of joy and sorrow. A being in a class of their own of whom one would have trouble comparing with others. An apple among oranges, where ever she has been one is likely to be aware of it. A person who radiates a sense of unique style. Someone for whom a sense of regret is by far their greatest enemy, she will savor every moment with an artistic eye. An introverted lover of conversation, she is the vehicle for her very own world that others cannot hope but get caught up in. In other words, a pace setter. At the root of her core, is a spirit anxious to prove herself a master of any setting because otherwise she might grow nervous facing uncertainty. An admirable hard worker who hates hard work and a control freak of her own destiny. Typically fond of drink, her manner of speaking is laced with a dozen little needles, she is the type of person who loves to tease others perhaps to the point of excess. Her relationships in spite of her frivolously displayed attitudes are intense, and she can care for others to the point of being overbearing. A surprisingly anxious person beneath it all who battles with fervor to maintain a sense of stability, she seems almost afraid to become complacent due to the chance presence of any unforeseeable unknowns. In her opinion, story characters who have to battle just to restore their lives back to normalcy are among the most tragic. Ultimately a revolving door between caring about everything and caring about nothing, a slow starter that always winds up taking things more seriously than everyone else. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] A former doctoral candidate of literature and native resident of The United States who was forced to drop out due to sudden illness. She ultimately decided to open a bookshop and primarily deals in rare books to make ends meet. Helen invested in Log Horizon mainly in the interests of experiencing the world through travel. Firmly rooted to her town of residence due to debt, she lived a life with little in the ways extravagance. It was because of this situation that the half-world project carried its appeal as an accessible diversion mingled with a sense frontier excitement. A lover of Alice in Wonderland, Helen rolled herself as a child in line with such fairy tales in mind. She couldn't imagine a personal life that doesn't revolve around the prospects of literature. It is likely that she yearns for an escape from more adult concerns, because to her, was the appeal of an online game not the fact that you get to take a little break from yourself? Choosing Summoner because the prospect of allies seemed reassuring, she leaned toward the more "gothic" choices in skills out of a kind of macabre humor. In light of the recent Calamity, her skills now carry a different sort of feel, no longer just a game, the terrifying atmosphere of her abilities is something that she has been forced to accept. The possible implications of what she controls is something that never ceases to buzz in the back of her mind. Although it grants HP restoration, it is known for its poor mana efficiency compared to other healing skills, barrier skills and reactive activation skills, thus putting this on low priority amongst healing skills. Beginners often look at healers based on how much HP this skill heals, causing some to be called second-rate or third-rate healers. That said, truly useless healers are out of the question, since most are at least competent in using restorative magic. When this skill is used, the caster is surrounded by a hazy warm light, and the chosen target is showered down with particles of light. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown time of 10 seconds. If used by a non-healer class, the cooldown doubles to 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Mythic Script:A toggle skill that uses a negligible amount of mana when it is activated. A skill that allows characters to write messages using pure mana. This message normally lasts for roughly a day before dissipating into the atmosphere. However, if the message is not exposed to the elements, such as within the bindings of a book, it is possible to preserve a message for months or even years. Taking this skill allows one to see these messages as well, for they are normally invisible to the untrained eye. It has been hypothesized that Ancient Age grimoires are composed from prayers and incantations written in mana onto paper that has been specifically designed to preserve its presence. Keep in mind that although this skill allows one to read writings in mana, it does not help with comprehension. [attr="class","skill"]Summon Follower - Sylph: Fairy-type Wind elemental follower. Sylph is a small fairy-like creature that looks like a jolly girl. She is able to attack with a magical wind that knocks back enemies. She can summon a healing breeze that heals allies for a minor amount and removes a debuff. She is Friendly to her Summoner and Wary toward all enemies. This follower takes 2 seconds of cast time to summon. [attr="class","skill"]Phantasmal Heal: The Summoner commands the summoned Follower to recover mana or health for a specific target. While in use, an extremely bright shining star effect is initiated on the target. The target's HP or MP will heal instantly, making this skill a nice ability to have when there are no available clerics in the vicinity. Naturally, this skill can only be used with healing summons like Unicorn or Carbuncle. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown time of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Needlework:Due to the dexterity from which they perform their tasks, tailors are able to make up for any compromises in their ability. Any dexterity debuffs to a tailor can be recovered from twice as quickly. [attr="class","skill"]Weeding:: Toggle skill. Gardeners not only have a green thumb, but the ability to bring destruction to that which they give life. They inflict 20% more damage when fighting a Plant-type monster and take 10% less damage from Plant-type monster attacks. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Cloth Armor: A basic set of cloth armor made from cheap fabric. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Apprentice Grimoire: A one-handed apprentice’s book of spells designed for novice mages, made out of cheap materials. Doesn’t particularly have too many pages, but it is better than nothing. If used by a magic class, you get the ability to shoot a basic magic attack with a range of 2 meters. [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Starter Wand: A one-handed starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap wood. Conducts magic better than a regular weapon but lacks any physical damage presence. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#1: Leave blank [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#2: Leave blank [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#3: Leave blank [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#4: Leave blank [attr="class","h3"]Inventory [attr="class","b2"] Basic Gardener's Kit. Skateboard: A Board with wheels on the bottom. Good for travelling around city areas at a good speed, and requiring only the use of one's legs to power. User need only kick their leg against the ground to gain/maintain speed, or go down a hill. Moderately useless outside of paved areas. Elder Tale Anniversary Medal: Level 1 accessory. A gold medal that was given out from voting or nominating in the Log Horizon RP's first annual end of the year awards. Its only effect is that equipping it causes either the Elder Tale title theme or the popular Elder Tale Theme Song from the Yamato server's 20th anniversary to play in the wearer's head. The song preference and music can be toggled on or off using the interface when this item is equipped. |
