Her laid-back and careless attitude is apparent in the way she moves and her posture. She had short hair that reached the lower part of her neck and styled-specifically to cover one side of her face. Her eyes were a really dark shade of teal. She was rather conservative in how she dressed yet she still finds a way to make it iconic to her. People who've met her and gotten to know her will usually be able to identify her on sight. Her choice of attire is wild and unpredictable since she would wear almost anything just because she wanted to. Due to her nature, she has an unreadable yet soft expression most of the time. The emblem on Elena's tongue [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Elena was raised just like any other person with the sole difference that she couldn’t speak. She grew up in a nice loving household and went through a normal enough childhood. As she grew up, she made it a rule to be as normal as she could but no matter how hard she tried, her habit of skinny dipping into her ocean of ideas would kick in whenever there was an opportunity to. She was a free-spirited girl even though she was a little bit naive. Yet, the way she dressed and the way she acted would suggest that she was anything but gentle. Teasing rarely works on her, but she would sometimes pretend it did so that it didn’t take the fun away from that person. She may come off as passive and submissive at times but she knew enough not to let people trample all over her. Secretly, she had always wondered what it would be like to sing. She often dislikes being the damsel in distress and would sometimes be the distressing damsel when she would be asking anyone for help. There was almost always a plan already in motion whenever she decides to be busy. Unfortunately, there was almost always no plan B. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]When two successful doctors decide to start a family, one would expect their child to be as perfect as them. Unfortunately, no one is that perfect and to prove it, they were blessed with a child who physically couldn't make sound. Elena was a rare case; she was born mute due to a genetic trait she inherited from her grandfather. At first, her parents tried to approach her scientifically but then they thought of just raising her just like any other child. They didn't want her to be differentiated from other people or at least feel like it. That was what they felt to be one of the speed bumps they were going to run into while raising her. As a child, she was quite passive yet always curious. During kindergarten, she was usually the one playing with blocks or the one doodling in the corner. It wasn't that she didn't like talking to the other kids; she was simply too engrossed in whatever she was "experimenting" with. During those times, the teachers simply thought she was a late bloomer. It was during elementary school when her troubles began. By that point, she already understood basic English. Other kids would come up to her and talk to her. Her reply was always on a written one. This time her teachers have had a good conversation with her parents about her disability. It took a while but the teachers got used to it after a while; they were perfectly okay with it because there communication barrier was not as big as they assumed. In class, she was quite an active learner. She would always have her hand up in the air whenever the teacher asked everybody a question. It didn't matter to her if her answer was right or wrong, she just wanted to let it out. Being a "goody two-shoes nerd," she was bound to be targeted by bullies. She was nice to people most of the time, but the downfall to it was that she was always within arm's length to show her message. Due to her always being the nice, smart kid in class, people would try to take advantage of her most of the time. At one point, she decided she had enough of it and thought of a way to put a stop to it. When nobody was looking, she snuck a note under the teacher's coffee mug with a time and place in the school and baited the bully to try and get her at said time and place. Long story short: the bully was caught red-handed and everyone assumed that the teachers always kept an eye on Elena so she was never bullied again. Elena grew up thinking she wasn't extraordinary. Her lack of a voice was something she grew used to, but it was still an obstacle for other people. It didn't mean much to her when she found out she was skipping a grade or two, since she never really got really close to anyone. She would have loved to, but at that point she already had a reputation. Then came the deciding four years of her life: High School. She was younger than most people there (and significantly smaller) but, being the well-known silent rarity that she was, people were always nice to her. Not a lot of people were mean to her due to the fact that the teachers love her so much. Elena knew this and made it her mission to be as normal as possible... at least, by their standards. Her tests became average, she would be late from time to time; she did everything she could to make herself look less intimidating. For a while, it worked: People could approach her easily, she stood out less and she felt a little bit happy about that. Eventually, the uncharacteristic performance got her parents' attention. One night, they had a long talk about the sudden change. There was no denying it, she was limiting herself-- even Elena knew that, deep down. It was by divine grace that Elena was blessed with inquisitive parents; it was Elena's greatest fear that this would end in argument. Thankfully, it turned out to be more of a discussion- much like one would have when talking to a coach about strategies. They decided that Elena needed an outlet to focus on; something self-fulfilling, something that she would be happy with no matter how it turned out. And so, she chose art. The only reasons she even thought of playing Elder Tale were the incredible hype and the need to look for inspiration for her drawings. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] - Elena is Ambidextrous - Her mother was a neurosurgeon and father a psychiatrist - She understands sign language - She's really smart, k? - It takes forever for her to choose between red velvet cupcakes and cheeseburgers - Loves the piano and string instruments - Finds martial arts fun to watch but less fun to perform - At one point, she thought of becoming a forensic investigator - Absolutely despises creepy crawlies (any other insects are fine) |

The sister skill to Deadly Dance, focusing in increasing the Assassin’s speed rather than their power. As the Assassin strikes their foes, they enter a state of mind where they can release some of their body’s natural limiters, allowing them to increase the speed of their attacks by 10%. The repeated usage allows the Assassin to descend deeper into this state and increase their attack speed even further. While originally designed for melee attacks, as it is more of a state of mind, the technique can be applied to ranged attacks as well. This skill has a duration of 30 seconds, a cast time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. The Assassin may spend an additional 2 seconds casting this skill to increase attack speed by 20% instead. If Accel Dance is used while it is currently in effect, attack speed is not increased further but the buff's duration will reset back to its full 30 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Fatal Ambush: Physical Attack. Assassins are known for their deadly strikes, often being able to slay in a single strike. This technique is the first of the many massive damage attacks the Assassins have under their repertoire. It is a crude version however, a novice skill that serves more as the basis and foundation for future, more poetic, techniques. Requiring a long preparation time, the Assassin must focus onto their target, limiting their perception and leaving them vulnerable to other attacks, as they search for a weak point. Then by focusing all of their strength into one strike, the assassin strikes their target with all of their might into a single point, dealing critical damage. The mental exertion required taxes the mind heavily however, and the technique can only be used sparingly. This skill has an casting time of 5 seconds before it may be used. When it is used, Fatal Ambush has an animation time of 1 second and a cooldown of 60 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Hiding Entry: Self Buff. One of the basic stealth magics of the Assassin. A signature move of the Assassins, known for being able to hide in plain sight, that allows them to bend light around them and become invisible to the naked eye for an extended period of time, up to ten minutes. Offensive actions, stabbing a target for instance, immediately break the magic used to hide the Assassin. The spell itself can be a bit taxing to the Assassin and can only be used sparingly. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds, lightly draining the user's MP upon use. It has a cooldown of 30 seconds the moment it is canceled. [attr="class","skill"]Carving: Toggle skill. Artisans have a certain affinity with carving stone, making their normal artistic talents not to be underestimated in battle. Artisans deal 20% more damage to Rock-type monsters. They can also ignore defense buffs on Rock-type monsters. [attr="class","skill"]Silent Move: A skill that deadens the user's movements whenever traveling, preventing them from making any sound while walking. In exchange, the Tracker's movement speed is reduced by 50%. For every 10 levels the tracker gains in their subclass level, this debuff is decreased by 10%. After Level 50, the debuff is eliminated completely. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Starter Leather Armor: A basic set of soft leather armor made from cheap leather. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Starter Crossbow: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap wood. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Pick either two one-handed weapons, a one-handed weapon and a shield, or a two-handed weapon that falls under one of your class' proficiency. If you choose a two-handed weapon, leave the other hand as N/A. If you are a bard you also get your choice of a musical instrument that can be carried on hand (ex: flute, violin, clarinet, etc.), nothing big like a piano. Bow users get a quiver of wooden arrows or wooden bolts (you'll have inifnite ammo for now btw since it is too annoying for us to keep track of ammo usage, icly it is a limited amount though; and toss them in your inventory). Not really strong, but cheap and can be easily mass produced. |
