[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]VAYNE [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Victor Krane [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 21 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: jade curtiss, TALES OF THE ABYSS [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Muffincake [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] Vayne is a handsome man of noble stature. He is fairly tall standing at the height of six (6) foot exactly and is of lean body type. He is not what you would call muscular, but he has defined muscles that are easily hidden by his clothing, giving the image of being thin and lanky. He has straight, long dark auburn hair that reaches down to the middle of his back. He has thin lips, high cheek bones and a silky white complexion. His eyes however are the most captivating things about his looks. His has narrow, almond shaped, brown eyes and long eyelashes, giving him a natural, mysterious and mischievous look. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Vayne has a mysterious personality, which mirrors his physical traits. Vayne has a personality that personifies a crow, which means he will never initially on an endeavor that will not benefit him. He likes to make sure that in every action he takes, he will surely have something to get out of it, similar to a crow never attacking, only looks for small bugs or carrion to feast. He does what he wants to, whenever he wants, as long as the odds are in his favor. He is very intelligent, as he likes to plan everything, assuming that he does do something. He is not a lazy fellow, but he prefers to gauge whether his taking action or not would have consequences on him. If he feels that something will be a burden, he would rather not take action or take a step back and assess the situation first to plan and turn the scales to his favor. Vayne gives off the air of someone who always has something plotting in his mind, and usually that is true. He is not a bad person, nor is he good, rather he would do anything he wants to as long as it benefits him or someone he sees as a companion. Vayne is not a solitary man. He appreciates company, and knows how to reciprocate attention. The only problem is that he does not like most people. He knows how to be civil and seem welcoming, but the only true people he would consider as comrades are people that interest him. He has a distrusting nature, but once he does trust someone, he is loyal to the end. Vayne is a crow that chooses people to be part of his murder very meticulously. Amongst those he considers friends, he is quite a doll. He likes to tease, joke and even show occasional compassion to those he holds dear. Vayne is not particularly fond of violence, but he is accustomed to it and can stomach it quite well. He has a tendency to seem cold and cruel, but in actuality he is very empathetic of those he hurts. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Vayne had a normal childhood. He was born into a good family; he was an honor student from kindergarten to his high school years. Oddly enough, even as a child, Vayne thought that this normalcy was weird. His life had no chaos, no plot twists, no seemingly insurmountable hurdles for him to overcome. To him, his life was a complete bore. By the time he was in the third grade, he was oddly detached from the real world. He found reality boring, though he did do his best to be the good student and son that everyone expected him to be. He spent most of his free time just lying on his bed or sitting in front of a window dreaming of far off fantastical places. He escaped his boring reality by imagining other worldly dimension with dragons, zombies, and all sorts of mythical creatures that he read about or saw in movies. To other people he seemed weird, cold and anti-social, but for Viktor in his childhood years, this was his only means of escape from his relatively humdrum life. As the years went on by, he went into college at the age of 16, as he skipped a few grades in elementary. Here he finally felt what it was like to be free to an extent. He went to a college in another city, away from his parents, with this he felt a certain degree of freedom. Even though he was still bound by the fact that he still can’t live without their money, they were still not around to dictate or prevent every little thing he does in life. It was at this time that he discovered gaming and MMORPGS. When he was still living with his parents, video games and such were not allowed as his parents thought that it would ruin his studies. Now that he was in college, living in a dorm, he did not have to imagine those far off worlds anymore. He spent his free time immersing himself in different games, playing different roles and “living” his dreams of being in a life that was exciting and grand. A few years went on by, he was 21 years old, graduated from college, and looking for a job. He was finally going to be out of his parent’s shackles, but he knew that new chains would be clamped around him as he entered adulthood. Newer, bigger responsibilities will pop up, and these are responsibilities that he could not escape from as he was still a part of this world. So after a particularly long and arduous day of job hunting, he sat in front of his computer and logged into his favorite game, Elder Tale. The next thing he remembers after doing so was feeling soft grass on his back, the feel of an unfamiliar breeze against his skin, and opening his eyes to the blue skies of the world of Elder Tale. He felt no fear, nor confusion; he knew deep down that he was not in his old world anymore. At that moment he smiled first real time in his life, finally unchained by the shackles of reality and he said “I’m home.” [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] Vayne is Ambidextrous and can use both hands freely. He is farsighted in his left eye, hence the glasses. And also he is a very lax kind of guy, up to the point of seemingly lazy. |

[attr="class","skill"]Summon Follower - Phantom: Tier I Skill Summons a ghost-like servant that has low attack power but high evasion and magic resistance. Effective for diverting attention. [attr="class","skill"]Death Scythe: Tier I Skill An attack that allows the summoned Phantom Follower to attack physical targets while inflicting poison damage and slight defense debuffs on contact. This skill lasts for a minute. Alternately, if Phantom is not currently active, it summons the Phantom Follower for a split second in order to deliver a single arc-shaped horizontal slash in front of the user, without any other effects. [attr="class","skill"]Graveyard Walk: Tier I Skill A skill used by the Summoner to increase the damage of undead Followers' attacks at the cost of a slight decrease in hit-rate. Effects Followers like Phantoms and Skeletons. [attr="class","skill"]Summoner's Whip: Tier I Skill Whip skill: A skill used by the Summoner to increase the attack speed and power of a Follower for a period of time. [attr="class","skill"]Castling: Tier I Skill Emergency skill that instantly switches the places of a Follower and the Summoner. Not usable in combination with Soul Possession. [attr="class","skill"]Summon Follower - Salamander: Tier I Skill Summons forth a reptilian spirit cloaked in a burning aura. Damages targets with burning fangs, claws, and a magic fire breath attack. Requires a source of ignition to be summoned, common sources include camp/cooking fires and even torches. [attr="class","skill"]Act One - Exposition: Level 1 Skill This skill passively allows the character to use a Puppet in battle at the cost of an off-hand equip. Its active effect allows the Puppeteer to send the puppet forward and grab the target. This results in a minor bind status effect and a decrease in the target's movement speed. [attr="class","skill"]Act Two - Inciting Event: Level 11 Skill The Puppeteer passively becomes able to equip a weapon in the Puppet's grip. This weapon is not actually equipped from the menu, but taken either from the inventory or surrounding environment. The ability for a Puppeteer to control a weapon even while standing from a distance means that any weapon can be used for mid-ranged fighting. Its active effect causes the Puppet to perform a taunting gesture and draw aggro from enemies currently in combat. [attr="class","skill"]Transmutation: Level 1 Skill Alchemists are able to use Magitech in battle without any penalties based on their main class. Also a toggle skill. Through their abilities in creating efficient Magitech, all costs for using Magitech are halved for the Alchemist. Their research also give them an advantage in fighting Artificial Life and deal an additional 10% damage. [attr="class","skill"]Call of Home: A skill learnable by any class. Upon use, it will teleport the character back to the character's 'home city.' This is designated by using the skill while in the city of question. It has a cooldown time of one hour per use. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Cloth Armor: A basic set of cloth armor made from cheap fabric. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Starter Wooden Pierrot & Control Bar - A control bar resembling two blocks of wood stuck together and attached to springs. They connect to a three-foot old puppet given to novice puppeteers, made out of cheap wood. It is easy to use but is really cheap and a bit decrepit. You probably should find yourself a new puppet. [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand:Starter Whip: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap leather. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. (Totally kinky by the way.) [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#1 The Tentasword: A toy sword made of clay and stone. As the name decrees, the blade of this sword is a long, snaking tentacle, painted salmon pink and consisting of dark pink suction cups on one side. A painted on film of saliva can be seen snaking around the tentacle, and its base is a row of sharp, jagged teeth. The hilt is brown and appears to be simple, bar the solitary red eye that seems to follow its victim everywhere. Japanese school girls, beware. There will be no lube or tender caresses. This tentacle based force accessory grants its wielder two extra levels of physical damage.
