Klide had just stopped talking, and allowed Dumah and Kogeki to being their battle plan while he ran on, when he suddenly heard a new voice. "Sir Dumah, we have come to join you! Let us lend you our swords!" It was a voice Klide was unfamiliar with. He was so surprised that he stopped running to focus on the other side. His thoughts cleared after he stopped running. If this girl was an acquaintance of Dumah's, then Klide had no problem with her being there. "I suggest you crawl back into the wretched holes you burrowed out of and unhand whatever girl you've kidnapped! Or we'll be sending you on a one way trip to the Cathedral!" Klide smiled to himself, when he heard that she had some spirit in her. He heard another gasp escape the sorcerer. "Dumah, how many of you are there now? I heard a woman, but there was another noise afterwards. Was that you, Kogeki, or the girls companion?" Klide listened if Dumah would respond, and took off running again. He got the feeling that he was close to the building he needed to be at, the "Compound" as he had called it earlier. Klide had his swords drawn, and was itching to use them. For some reason a great blood lust has awakened inside of him. Klide passed a guard tower without the guard noticing, and instead of running further, he sheathed his right sword, and gripped one of the legs of the tall post. He swung in a half circle around it before propelling himself higher up it. He climbed quickly before reaching the platform at the top. He looked up at it and saw only two guards. He didn't feel like fighting, so Klide went straight for the killing blow. He drew his second sword as he flew silently up into the air above the two men. He felt as though he was becoming more animal than human as he attacked mercilessly. He dropped and stabbed a sword into each mans throat. He silenced both of them, and the cut their heads off. spraying blood onto the floor boards of the guard post. He then cut down the body's chest cavities before they de-spawned. When he finished wiping his blades, Klide looked out at the horizon. He saw a brighter region off in the distance. Probably the compound he was looking for. Klide jumped down from the tower, without even bothering to worry about the height. He rolled as he neared the ground and straightened once his feet approached the ground from the roll. He instantly began running again. As he approached the compound, Klide saw more and more groups of guards. He was running through a large field like area which was mostly dirt with some small grassy patches throughout it. Klide crossed the dirt path, and found himself in a new forest, this one darker than the last. He had both his weapons sheathed as he ran through the dark wooded area, not letting any guards escape his weapons. He drew the weapons and killed the guards in silence as often as he could, though some did not die instantly. Two of the seven men he had kill thus far were more resilient. They fought back, but that only extended how long they had to suffer. He was merciless against all of them. one was a fellow swashbuckler who also dual wielded swords. He tried to cut Klide with an X shaped slash, but he countered by lobbing off both of his arms, and then leaving his corpse without a head. His clothes had plenty of blood on them, but he kept his assault moving. Klide eventually reached the edge of the forest, and found small building, which he assumed was the barracks building. He walked into the soldiers quarters and killed one of the sleeping soldiers before the others woke to the sound of liquid dripping and the smell of iron. He now had four soldiers to fight, but he was indoors, which gave him plenty to maneuver off of. He ran at the rightmost man and passed him, jumping up into the air. He kicked off of the wall and was launched toward their spell caster, who fell to the ground as a bloody mess a moment later. Now behind the enemies, he ran his blades through the guardian, and then fought the other two without giving them a second to breath. They fought with all their might, and one of them eventually got in a cut across his right cheek, but that was the only wound they gave him. After receiving that cut, he was much more fueled for combat. He drove a blade though one of the men, and swung the man onto his companion. He stabbed through both of them at once with his other sword. He drew the swords from them and continued to hack and slash until they disappeared, leaving blood on Klide's swords and clothes. He exited the building after once again wiping his swords. Klide walked toward the compound in silence. He avoided lights and kept to the shadows as best he could. Finally, he climbed over a hill dotted with trees, and in the valley below was a large, walled-off compound bigger than he had anticipated. "Mr. Dumah, I have found the compound, but I will check it out before returning to you, I can't promise that the girl will be inside, especially if this bastard is as sneaky as I think he is. Dumah barely heard Klide's question regarding the noise he had heard, and he simply kept assaulting the Sorcerer. He smiled a bit as he was joined by another familiar face. "Ms. Saskia! It is always a fine day with you around." Dumah talked as he spoke, not missing a beat with either. "How have you been this past month since all of this went down?" The Sorcerer began to make more noises as he panicked, his health reaching dangerously low levels. "Nng! Reinforcements?! I was told there were only two of them! Not four!" The Sorcerer was taken care of quickly, exploding into a mixture of gold, some items, and the colorful Anima bubbles that all players left upon death. Dumah turned to face the Guardian who had been assisting the Sorcerer, and Dumah's face was horrifying. Light flickering around it from the fire, a glare that shot daggers, and a determination so powerful that not even death itself could stop this man. The Guardian trembled without his partner, clearly not used to fighting alone. "Listen to me well," Dumah began, "lest you have a wish to end up like your spell slinging friend, I suggest you leave and do not come back here." Dumah walked up to the enemy Guardian, his face showing he was ready to kill. "And tell your boss..." Dumah clenched the neck of the Guardian, frightening him despite the layer of metal protecting him from Dumah's left hand fingers. He continued his sentence. "...to release my daughter at once. I do not care one bit for who you work for, and who ever it may be, we will kill him and his gang..." Dumah threw the Guardian to the ground as he quickly ran off and away from the group. Dumah sheathed his blades back in their respective scabbards, hoping this would be the last they would see of the marauders. He sighed deeply, relieved, and walked up to the pink haired Guardian who had joined him. He offered a soft smile, and his left hand. "It is a pleasure to see you again, Ms. Saskia. Thank you, so much. Truly, I cannot thank you enough. Some heartless marauders have abducted my daughter; needless to say, I cannot simply stand idly as this plays out. Would you join-" Dumah was cut off as he noticed the man that accompanied Saskia. He looked at him for a moment before speaking again. "Who is this? A friend of yours, Saskia?" Dumah smiled and extended his left hand. "I am Dumah Iino; Level nine Swashbuckler, and Founder of the Boston Tea Party." Dumah's introduction was cut short a bit as he heard Klide's voice in his ears. "Mr. Dumah, I have found the compound, but I will check it out before returning to you, I can't promise that the girl will be inside, especially if this bastard is as sneaky as I think he is." Dumah pushes his left index and ring fingers against his left ear, muting himself to those around him. Klide was now the only one who could hear his words; everyone around him simply saw his lips move as he spoke. "No, Klide, we agreed that once you found their compound, we would group back up and prepare for a final assault on their hide out. Besides, if you are detected, they may take measurements to defend from us. For now, simply return and we shall all prepare for Alette's rescue." - 578 Words - - Total: 3,000 - ---------- - Party - ---------- Party Leader: Dumah Iino Party Members: Kogeki@blazeedge SaskiaBailin= Battle Status = -- Allies -- - @dumah - HP: 82% MP: 72% - Kogeki - HP: 100% MP: 100% - Saskia - HP: 100% MP: 100% - Bailin - HP: 100% MP: 100% - @blazeedge - HP: 100% MP: 100%

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________"Nng! Reinforcements?! I was told there were only two of them! Not four!"
The wretched wizard bandit was subdued by the vicious three pronged assault from the Guardian, Warden, and furious swashbuckler. A radiant light began to emerge from him as Saskia's eyes began to dilated as she winced at the sight. There was a deep fear plastered on the sorceror's face as his health slowly began to drown out towards the number zero. Saskia felt a singe of pain in her chest.
Elizabeth: Oh god, this feels terrible...I know it's just a game, but still the act of...murdering someone...it feels inhumane. Even if they are corrupt bastards, just the look of sheer terror in his eyes, oh god...what are we doing? This is madness, we're all behaving like animals. It's this truely what's become of mankind? To stoop to such low levels?
Lady Steelheart: Indeed, it is a burden every stalwart knight or vigilante must bear, Lady Hightower, I am truly sorry that you had to see all of this, but we must press on, a little girl is counting on us.
Elizabeth: But...
Saskia exerted a sharp exhalation of fear and shattered serenity. Her face trembling at the Sorceror as he burst in golden coins, a colorful display of anima bubbles, and a few trinkets and wares. Her hand fell limped as the bastard sword she carried almost slipped from her fingers at the sight. For her fighting monsters was already bad enough, but the malice of player on player combat in brutal fights to the death, was a new experience that had already begun to wear at the threads of Saskia's mind.
As she inhaled, she felt as if she had inhaled the fumes of a very dark, crackling flame. The rest of her body felt shockingly cold, as she stared off into space. Silencing herself to the hush and the rhythm of her heartbeat. As her wary eyes glance at the scorned father, Dumah Ilno, shift his feet upon the soil and hold a very antagoizing and malicious glare that burned with the very hellfire of the gates of oblivion. With bloodlust in his eyes, Dumah scrutinized the man, noticing the weakness in his trembling posture. Surrounded, the Guardian was now backed into a corner, and quivering of his lip was all it took to spell the fear that lied within his heart.
"Listen to me well," Dumah began, "lest you have a wish to end up like your spell slinging friend, I suggest you leave and do not come back here."
Saskia could see him clenching his blade tightly in animosity as he scowled at the bandit. The tempo of her heartbeat began to increase as she held the fist of her shield-arm to her chest, her subtle eyelashes wavering upward towards Bailin, revealing her discomfort with the current situation.
I wonder how Bailin feels about all this...it's all quite scary...so much violence...
"And tell your boss..." Dumah gripped tight the neck of the corrupt swordsman, instilling a rich essence of fear in the lad , that firmly penetrated any sense of security that the layer of metal and refined steel protecting him from Dumah's left handed jab of the finger.
Saskia gripped her sword tightly, as to stay vigilant, in case her Gladiator reacted aggresively to Dumah's words. "...to release my daughter at once. I do not care one bit for who you work for, and who ever it may be, we will kill him and his gang..."
Saskia blicked and winced a bit, as she heard the sharp thud as the nefarious Guardian was slung to the ground and scrambled to his feet scurrying off in a cowardly manner.
Ah, so it's -his- daughter...it all makes sense now. I could imagine he'd be a very protective father, and the pain he must be going through...this must be weighing very heavily on his heart.
Saskia stood close to Bailin, and leaned in lowering the words that slipped off her soft lips in a whisper as Dumah sheathed his fine blades back in their proper scabbards, seeming content that he had been rid of the bastards once and for all.
"Bailin, they must still have his daughter, we-...we have to do something...he's hurting right now, just look at his face."
The courageous swashbuckler sighed deeply and wuld seem sightly more relaxed, judging by the eye, but Saskia's sense of deep empathy made her feel a lingering sorrow for his curren loss as he trudged his way up to the pinkette haired sword maiden and the brave gentleman beside her.
He felt at ease when he gave her a gentle smile, and offered his left hand, which Saskia founf odd, as she was more accustomed to shaking with her right. But of course she was holding unto a sword in her right hand and her shield-arm was more convienient. "It is a pleasure to see you again, Ms. Saskia. Thank you, so much. Truly, I cannot thank you enough. Some heartless marauders have abducted my daughter; needless to say, I cannot simply stand idly as this plays out. Would you join-" Saskia began to shift her gaze from each of his eyes curiously as he paused over his words, eyeing her companion with interest, before talking once more.
Ah, right, they haven't met yet...
Saskia nodded her head in understanding as she took a step back and allowed them to conduct their greeting.
"Who is this? A friend of yours, Saskia?"
Saskia smiled as she noticed new friendships being born. It was pretty refreshing to be able to introduce Bailin to some of her friends.
"I am Dumah Iino; Level nine Swashbuckler, and Founder of the Boston Tea Party." Dumah's introduction seemed to be short lived as he was occupied with an important situation that seemed to mirror the telepathy that Saskia and Bailin had employed on their romantic night at the pier near the Thames Coastline.
"This is my boyfriend, Bailin. We were just on our way to his house when we heard all the ruckus.."
She said as a hand shot out towards Bailin, introducing him. She stepped forward inquisitively, as she continued with much concern in her voice.
"How are you feeling? I know this must be a heavy burden to take on, but I assure you, that you have my shield at your side."
She raised her shield up to her breast as she spoke, then looked around, wonder what else she could offer to be of assistance before a light bulb clicked and she tapped twice on the outer corner of her left eyebrow with her left index finger, showing a light, reassuring smile.
"I also have Icarus, whom can help us cover more ground if need be..."
Saskia held her hands out as if she was giving praise to the god above, both of her palms held outwards to the sky, entangled webs of virtual data and statistics began to illuminate in the atmosphere and solidify into and interface menu. Her first instinct was to check her statistics as she realized her mana pool was still decreasing slowly overtime, methodically she inserted her finger unto the skill button and quickly toggled it off.
Her next impulse led her to navigate through her "Inventory" and scroll under her "Miscellaneous" items as she clicked on a whistle that animated itself into the palm of her left hand.
She filled her lungs with air and proceeded to blow into the whistle as the shaking earth and rocks began to tremble upon the surface as the loud thunderclaps of hooves rained down unto the ground, as a magnificent white colt emerged from the forest, and neighed towards the group, before nuzzling it's head towards Saskia and waving it's long golden tail.
"Calm down you crazy horse, we've got work to do...we have to help my friend find his family, will you assist us?"
Saskia spoke softly as she petted the quiet beast, her eyes scattering over the horse, inspecting it's facial features as she sheated her sword in it's blue and gold scabbard and put a firm hand upon each of the animal's cheeks and looked it carefully in the eye.
"Sir Dumah is counting on us, so I need you to be brave...you hear me? You're safe here. You have the rest of us you can count on, too.." Saskia smiled as she returned her gaze to the group.
"So, I put my cards on the table, what other resources or skills do we have available? How many of us are their involved in the search? Do we have any idea of how many we are up against? I may be able to do a slight reconnaissance on my horse, but he can only carry two people and maintain decent mobility...I don't know what else we might have that might be useful..."
Saskia paused for a moment as she glanced up at her list of available skills, eyeing the emblem of a big brown flagon.
"The only other skill I have is for making beer and somehow I don't get the feeling that we'll all just be able to settle this out over drinks...."

As the evil wizard fell to the stabs and slashes of the trio battering down on him the wizard let out an anguished howl, as if he had been wronged by someone even though he was the wrongdoer. Making a single spin with his rapier, more out of occupational hazard than usefulness, as to sweep off the, now virtual, blood from it, as the wizard’s body disintegrated in front of them. Saskia let out an audible sigh, drawing Bailin’s attention to her. Her face looked more or less the same to him, bar her eyes, which glinted rather differently compared to how they usually shone. It made him feel a strong urge to put his arms around her and pull her closer, to tell her everything would be fine, but alas now was not the time for that, nor did he know the reason for the sigh and shifted glint in her eyes making his feeling only a guess. Checking his surrounding further Bailin noticed that the one called Dumah had taken up the hostile guardian and made it clear that the chap had best talk as Dumah instilled the fear of the gods into the poor bloke, making Bailin laugh silently inside his own mind. He wouldn’t want to trade places with the poor, scared guardian for all the gold in this world and the next. It was true that in this world the ones called adventurers, like himself, would respawn, resulting in a shift in Bailin’s demeanour, though he still thought of the worst things that could happen, the final station to him meant a reboot, a second chance, making him lighten up a bit. As Dumah continued to threaten and suggest the guardian what was best for him, Saskia drew his attention, her face showing how uneasy she felt at the entire situation, confirming the urge Bailin had to just hold her tight. But alas for now it was more prudent to remain the strong party, standing firm and watchful, rather than the worried couple, shaken by a little bloodshed, so to speak. Grabbing the neck of the guardian Dumah continued his threatening or well, probably more a warning than a threat given the circumstances, pose over the guardian. And hence came forth the reason of this dreadful adventure. The ruffians had kidnapped Dumah’s daughter, making Bailin wonder for a second if it were possible to… well breed, so to speak, in this game. It would give an interesting concept but it also frightened him, though it was probably best to remain vigilant and philosophise later. After the final warning and message to the guardian, Dumah threw him on the ground, producing a thud as the tin canned man hit the ground, only to scramble to his feet like a frightened kid and running off in a similar way. Softly Saskia had stepped closer to him, leaning in and telling him that they had to help Dumah save his daughter, whilst Dumah sheathed his weaponry. Bailin just nodded and smiled, cupping Saskia’s cheek with his left hand and gently rubbed it with his thumb and then placing his hand on her shoulder, as to reassure, and possibly, comfort her, just a wee bit. The tender moment lasted only a few seconds as the two of them were interrupted by the swashbuckler called Dumah, whom smiled at Saskia before he spoke. Bailin didn’t know the chap but Saskia knew him and she wanted to help him, badly, and Bailin agreed with her, not only was it supposed to be a Warden’s task to do so, but he himself felt that he had to help the man. You don’t touch the family of the one you have trouble with; it would only create endless troubles until the end of days. The man extended his left hand to Saskia, which she took with a gentle yet worried smile. The man told Saskia it was a pleasure to see her again, thanked her for her help and explained the situation. His daughter had indeed been abducted and he couldn’t sit idly as the ruffians would hold his daughter captive. Something Bailin probably wouldn’t be able to do if someone took Saskia away from him. Dumah continued his story, asking Saskia if she wanted to join… but mid-sentence he interrupted and shifted his gaze to Bailin, making Saskia take a step back, giving the two blokes the room, so to speak, as Dumah asked whom Bailin was and introduced himself. Before Bailin could even answer, Saskia told Dumah that Bailin was her boyfriend and that they were on the way to his house when they had heard the commotion. Dumah offered his hand and Bailin glady took it, a friend of Saskia was a friend of his, he’d suppose. With a grin Bailin said: “What she said, Bailin, Warden, level four, nice to make your acquaintance.” Grinning and flicking a thumb to Saskia, who then proceeded to ask Dumah how he felt and telling him he’d have her, and thus their, help. Saskia continued by summoning Icarus by blowing the whistle she took from her inventory. When Icarus arrived with pounding hooves Saskia continued to reassure Icarus and explaining the situation to the horse. It was touching how gentle she handled her horse. After she had finished reassuring and explaining to Icarus she turned her attention to Dumah, asking about the more specific details. She was being inquisitive again, which gladden Bailin as it probably meant she was over the initial shock of fighting Adventurers. She even cracked open a joke about not being able to solve this matter over drinks. “Well, I can be elaborate but… I think she covered all I wanted to ask, so I’ll keep it simple: If you have a level four fire arm or even a crossbow I can be of greater use, if not I’ll still be useful enough.” Bailin said with a wink, “Other than that: just tell me where to go. Only request being you make sure Saskia doesn’t get in too much trouble.”

Klide had said what he needed to say, and so he waited for a reply. Unfortunately for him, Dumah had other ideas. Though in his defense, he was completely justified, since Klide was technically violating the terms of his agreement with Dumah. He looked behind him, and saw thing just as he expecting them to be. There was a large amount of torch light behind him, and Klide could tell that there were now reinforcements in the areas where he had killed the guards. "Mr. Dumah, I can not return to you, regardless of the agreement we made earlier. I am sorry for that. By return is blocked by reinforcements who seem to have found the emptied posts I left in my charge. Thus, I will be advancing toward the compound. If I find the girl before you reach my side, I vow to protect her with my life." As he spoke, Klide slowly advanced around the edge of the hill he had climbed, which turned out to be more of a cliff than a hill. The valley beneath was very deep, and the compound was built resting against the grassy cliff face which Klide was now climbing across. He climbed into a tree and used the branches as a steadier path than the cliff's steep face. He took a bad step and almost fell when a dried branch snapped and fell down the cliff. Fortunately, Klide had caught himself on a mush more lively branch and was saved the pain of dropping down a cliff unprepared. He than spoke again. "Mr. Dumah, is that a storm I hear, or it it the thundering of a powerful horse's hooves? If it is the later, may I speak to the owner? Please make this audible to the owner." Klide found a better place to sit whilst he spoke with Dumah and waited for him to acquiesce his request. If Dumah made the conversation audible to the owner, Klide spoke thus. "Hello? I am Klide, an acquaintance of Dumah's. I went ahead for reconnaissance, but all that aside, you own a horse. I must apologize to you, but I can not see the purpose of bringing it onto enemy soil. With the amount of men reinforcing the eastern flank, you will not be able to pass unnoticed if you are on horse back. Granted, a horse is a fast animal, indeed it is very fast, but it is also loud. I think it wise to advance on foot, as you will be quieter, and it will be easier to pass through smaller, more overgrown areas. Mr. Dumah, I hope you can understand my reasoning. I have no intention of sounding rude or omniscient. This is simply the honest opinion of someone who can see things from a different angle than your group. The reinforcements are further from the point where I exited, so the two men I killed there were either unimportant, or unnoticed. You will have to pass their reinforcements to reach the compound, and after you pass them, there will still be the occasional guard, but it will be easier. Whether you choose to use the horse or not, You will have to go east for a few kilometers, then you will find the compound. I will see you again once you find me in the compound, or once I find you." With that, Klide became silent. He listened to what the others had to say, if they said anything at all, and then began his descent on the compound. Klide ran down the steep face in a zig-zag pattern to avoid loosing his balance. He reached the bottom quickly and quietly. He tried to jump to climb over the wall, but could not reach its brink. Klide looked around for anything he may be able to use to climb over the wall, and he was lucky enough to find a large dead branch, specifically, the very branch that had almost carried him down with it. Klide looked around to see if there were any guards around, but there were none. In fact, this area of the wall was much less lit than the others, and the ground outside the wall had not wear in it, no visible path. This side was obviously not a focus point for the guards. Klide hoisted the branch up against the wall, the branches resting against it like a ladder. He climbed the branch, and then jumped the reach the wall once he reached the to of his make-shift ladder. He kicked the very top of the branch from where he hung, and the branch fell to the ground making it seem like nothing had happened on that side of the wall. Klide hoisted himself up onto the wall and stood atop it, looking down at all the guards, and buildings. There had to be at least 300 men in the compound, and another 200 guarding it's perimeter. He was not even certain these were all low level players. "Mr. Dumah, I will not be able to talk for long. As reconnaissance, i have a duty to make reports, yes? Well i have an important one. There are probably about 200 men guarding the perimeter of the compound, don't worry, they didn't all go to the eastern flank, they are at various guard posts most likely. However, the bigger problem is that there are at least 300 men inside the compound. Getting in and out without dying will not be easy." With that, Klide leaped down into the compound. He walked in the shadows, avoiding any men who passed with a metaphorical twenty-foot pole. As he walked towards the mansion if the center, Klide realized just how big it was. It looked more like a castle than a mansion, made mostly out of large stone bricks, with tall towers at each corner. Klide almost got noticed at some point during his mission, but he pulled the soldier in between two buildings and ended him in silence. He kept moving, his cloths still a bit wet with the blood of the soldiers he had killed. Fortunately for Klide, the blood only stuck to players and their equipment, so there were no puddles or stains left on battle fields or in outposts. He was now close the the mansion, fortunately he had evaded all the soldiers up to this point. He climbed up onto the roof of one of the barracks closest to the central building, and ran towards it full speed, jumping off the corned of the building in an attempt reach the mansion's wall. With that, all of the Adventurers were acquainted. After a firm shake of Bailin's hand, Saskia stepped forth and spoke to Dumah in a worried, concerned voice. "How are you feeling? I know this must be a heavy burden to take on, but I assure you, that you have my shield at your side." Saskia made Dumah realize something... Though he is trying to save his daughter, he hasn't been paying the least bit of attention to himself... How could he, after all?
Dumah smiled and bowed with his Windsor Antiqua Long Sword drawn, pointed up, held from in front of his heart to in front of his face. "Thank you, Ms. Saskia... As I stated before: I cannot thank you enough." Dumah did not even answer her question, no, it was more as if he were avoiding it. Dumah did not wish to concern anyone for him, he only wished to rescue his daughter.
Saskia had summoned a horse of all things, but that little voice in his head told him to relay a message, which he mimicked to Saskia as if Dumah were a speaker. After it was passed on, Dumah pondered, holding his chin. "He is right. Although I appreciate the gesture, I am afraid Icarus would draw too much attention. We shall have to-" Dumah was cut off, listening... He staggered after a moment, shocked. He shouted in awe... "THREE HUNDRED PEOPLE INSIDE?! BY THE TWELVE, MR. KLIDE, HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO FIGHT THREE HUNDRED BLOODY SOLDIERS?! HOW THE BLOODY HELL DID HE EVEN GET THREE HUNDRED SOLDIERS?!"

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________Saskia was filled with a deep sense of compassion for Dumah. She eagerly wanted to help out in anyway she could. She found the entire situation very unsettling.
This is awful...what if it were my sister Lacey that had gotten kidnapped...my god! What if she really did get kidnapped and that's the reason why I can't find her! No..no..Lacey's smarter than that to let her get herself caught....I think. But maybe there's something to these kidnappings. I have to go investigate, even if there is just the slightest chance...
“What she said, Bailin, Warden, level four, nice to make your acquaintance.”
Saskia smiled warmly as the two made a nice connection. She hoped she wasn't being rude by introducing them to each other and not letting Bailin speak for himself. Frankly, she didn't care much about how the formalities were handled because the way things seemed, it was as if time were of the essence.
“Well, I can be elaborate but… I think she covered all I wanted to ask, so I’ll keep it simple: If you have a level four fire arm or even a crossbow I can be of greater use, if not I’ll still be useful enough.”
Bailin spoke with a confident air as he winked. A trait demonstrating much charisma amongst the chaos.
How could he be so calm....and what's this about a level four firearm? Does he actually men they have real live guns in this world? Well, that's certainly something...would be easy to solve all your problem's by putting a bullet through their head...even an arrow from a crossbow would do the trick...oh gosh..listen to me..why on earth am I even talking like this? Oh, this is all just terrible...
Saskia looked down at her feet as he kicked up bits of dust and debris. Her eyes raised up to Bailin as he spoke in a reassuring manner to Dumah.
“Other than that: just tell me where to go. Only request being you make sure Saskia doesn’t get in too much trouble.”
Saskia smiled faintly in the background as she tapped the flat of her steel sword on the shoulder of her armour, before gazing at Dumah in a concerned manner, realizing he had ignored her question.
"Thank you, Ms. Saskia... As I stated before: I cannot thank you enough."
I know you're going through hell right now..though youre trying to handle it the best you can...I know deep down it's eating away at you Dumah. No parent ever tkes it easy when stripped away from their child. This bird...your daughter...she left the nest far before her time...what monsters would do such a thing?
Saskia nodded in a stern manner, trying not to succumb to her soft, feminine emotions. She understood slightly, that they weren't best applied to this situation, although she still couldn't control the way she felt.
"No problem at all, Dumah. I just want to see your daughter returned to you safely. Otherwise, I'm afri none of us will be able to get much sleep at night if we sit around and do nothing..."
Dumah seemed to shift his attention away from her as he received an incoming transmission, which he then relayed to the others.
I will see you again once you find me in the compound, or once I find you."
The man had mentioned many things that sent a nervous chill down Saskia's spine. First of which being the level of security. He made it sound as if they were outnumbered by at least a margin of five to one. Secondly, while he praised the positive aspects of her steed, he pointed out the fatal flaw it could have when employed prematurely. Lastly, was how they were to somehow manage to infiltrate this area on foot and how the mysterious speaker had already slain two of the culprits.
Shit...this isn't good at all...I thought we were just up against maybe four or five hoodlums. The way he's talking about men at different flanks and expressed that just charging in with a horse would be madness....it sounds like we have got to be up against at least a platoon...and it seems he has already took down two of them...maybe he wants us all to take them down one by one? Wait...but he also mentioned that the two went unnoticed? How do two go unnoticed in a platoon that's probably been working together for months? Unless....
"He is right. Although I appreciate the gesture, I am afraid Icarus would draw too much attention. We shall have to-"
Saskia's eyes began to quiver at the ground as she listened to the words she had feared to hear. It made her heart skip a beat as everything around her began to slow down.
"THREE HUNDRED PEOPLE INSIDE?! BY THE TWELVE, MR. KLIDE, HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO FIGHT THREE HUNDRED BLOODY SOLDIERS?! HOW THE BLOODY HELL DID HE EVEN GET THREE HUNDRED SOLDIERS?!"
She could hear it in the air. She could feel it in the earth. Her heart pounded rapidly as she heard twigs from bushes snap in the distance and the glint of shiny armor retreating from their location to the east. Saskia's eyes dilated as her face trembled through the shock and hysteria. She let out a rough exhale through her nose, as her pink strands of hair dangled from the sword maiden's hair.
"Shit...."
She cut a sharp side glance to the foliage where the cowardly guardian from before was making his escape. With a penetrating glare, and fierce tenacity she gripped the reigns of her horse, twisting them with tense hands and hurled atop the horse before cracking the reigns roughly and unsheathing her sword from it's scabbard. She led the horse deeper into the eastern neck of the woods in an attempt to intercept the guardian from before.
"Damn it, we can't allow him to escape...he'll just inform the others and blow this whole operation sky high...faster Icarus!"
The horse galloped at about a fourty five degree angle from the guardian hanging behind and to the left as she danced between the trees in the forest, weaving between them before striking at the guardian's thigh with her sword. Then hopping off in front of him, she stood cautiously with sword over shield, as she eyed him.
"Oi, where do you think you're going?! Off to a little tea party, are we? Well, I'm sorry friend, but I doubt I can allow that!" Saskia exclaimed in a loud taunting shout.
Saskia gulped as it seemed he had become a lot more confidant, seeing as it was a one on one battle. Saskia's eyes searched the trees for any trace of her allies, but alas she couldn't see any sign of them for the thick of the woods. Of course, she was in a party already with Bailin, so they could tell each other's location from the marker on their map.
The big ogre of a guardian cackled maniacally as he stomped over towards with a mischievous grin as he advanced with his sword held out at his side. "What's this? A damsel in distress? My, my, I would love to take you my hut and rub some honey on your thighs..."
Saskia gritted her teeth in anger as she shouted back. "Rub honey on my thighs?! What madness is this?! You better be talking about honey BBQ wings or I'm going to have to give you a stabbing right between the eyes!"
"Well, calm down kitty! Looks like old Balgrof's going to have to teach ye' some manners!" The giant tin can bellow as he leaped to her side, the opposite of where her shield was in an attempt to exploit her vulnerability.
Saskia shrieked and swung her blade horizontally across Balgrof's sword making a loud ping of clashing steel colliding. An effective parry to say the least. She winced back as she noticed the cooldown timer in the corner of her HUD.
This guardian hit hard and from the look of things, he new a lot more about video games than she did. She barely knew how to employ combat abilities in Player versus player combat and her opponents gear was far superior than her own.
"Shit...come on Sass..think of something...think of something...I've just got to stall him..."

As Bailin asked the Dumah fellow to keep Saskia safe, Saskia tapped her shoulder with her sword, sending out a clear ring of metal on metal, as if she were saying that he worried too much about her and that she could handle herself. Even though that was the case, Bailin still would rather have her out of harm’s way. Giving Saskia a glance Bailin noticed her gaze at the Dumah chap, a hint of concern in her eyes. Next up Dumah thanked her, again, at which she replied with a nod, telling him she wanted to get his daughter safely back to him. Before they could continue their chat it was interrupted by someone called Klide, using telepathy, with Dumah as a medium, to both introduce himself and share the intelligence he had gathered. This Klide fellow mentioned that using Icarus wasn’t a bad idea but it wasn’t the best of options for now, as they would have more need for stealth rather than speed. What he mentioned seemed pretty logical to Bailin, though Saskia voiced her disappointment at not being able to use Icarus, but alas, it would probably be for the best. As she voiced her disappointment the Klide fellow continued his report, interrupting Saskia mid-sentence, mentioning there were at least three hundred of evildoers around. ‘Well, at least we get to kill something without running out of targets.’ He thought to himself, whereas Saskia voiced out her shock loudly. Dumah on the other hand just stood there and listened, passing along the message. The only thing Saskia let out was a ‘Shit…’ as her gaze shifted towards the foliage where the released guarding was running away from his merciful captors. Saskia jumped on her horse, leaving Bailin and Dumah more or less confused as she galloped off after the guardian.
“Well, I guess we’ll have to see if she needs help, at least, that’s what I think is most prudent, how about you, mister Dumah?” Bailin said, shrugging his shoulders. She would be fine, but a little help would probably be much appreciated. Giving a quick nod to Dumah Bailin turned and ran after Saskia, rapier drawn and concentrated, shifting his gaze from left to right as to avoid trees, foliage or other unwanted encounters. Saskia was a lot faster when she was on Icarus, despite the weight of her armour. ‘I just hope I’ll get there in time and I don’t get lost.’ He thought, ducking underneath a low hanging branch to avoid bumping his head against it.
From a small distance Bailin could hear the sound of the two guardians both taunting and fighting. Rushing forward towards the origin of the sound Bailin saw both the guardian and Saskia trading blows, the guardian appearing to have the upper hand, but Saskia was holding her own fairly good, causing Bailin to feel a bit relieved that she hadn’t died… yet.
Rushing once more forward he prepared his rapier to ram it between the creaks of the guardian’s armour.

As Bailin rushed off to the aid of his beloved Saskia, Dumah had no choice but to follow his decision and go with him. After some time, they came across them: Saskia and the Guardian from before. Bailin began to attack the opposing Guardian with quick jabs of his rapier. Dumah joined the fray as Bailin prepared for his next attack, but before it could be launched, the Guardian was lit ablaze. A small distance away, Dumah could be seen with a menacing glare upon his face, made only more sinister as the flames of another Fireball Pitch were prepared soon after. Dumah held it in his right hand, walking up to the guardian with an ominous calmness, his left hand holding his Windsor Antiqua Long Sword. As Dumah inches closer and closer to the enemy, metal flew in front of him as the Guardian swung his sword for Dumah. The horror Dumah infused in the man was only intensified as he lacked any effort to dodge or even block his swings. Cuts formed and closed instantly, a glorious blessing all Adventurers shared. Dumah used his right hand, still holding the flaming orb, to grab the Guardian's head, burning him and bringing such unfathomable suffering. Dumah pulled his sword back, thrusting it through the slot in the enemy's helmet as he - like his late spell casting friend - burst into Anima bubbles and a mix of assorted loot. After a moment, Dumah collapsed to his knee, wincing in the pain he had hidden behind a facade, releasing a pained grunt. - 259 Words - - Total: 3,522 - ---------- - Party - ---------- Party Leader: Dumah Iino Party Members: Kogeki Klide Saskia Bailin = Battle Status = -- Allies -- - @dumah - HP: 42% MP: 68% SU: Fireball Pitch - Kogeki - HP: 100% MP: 100% SU: - Saskia - HP: 97% MP: 100% SU: Parry - Bailin - HP: 100% MP: 100% SU: - @blazeedge - HP: 100% MP: 100% SU:

Klide gripped the top of the wall and slowly pulled himself up. Ahead of him was a sentry guard who had not yet heard the Swashbuckler. He wanted to keep it that way. He slowly circled the man as he walked around the wall. He hid behind odds and ends stored on the roof, and was eventually behind the man. He spoke to Dumah right as he slid both of his swords into a fleshy new sheath, before it disappeared in a cloud of bubbles and sparkles. "That is correct Mr. Dumah, there are three hundred, though forgive me for I misspoke. There are any where from two to three hundred is what I intended to say, there are not three hundred in the facility and no two hundred outside of it, so it is not a total of fire hundred men here. There are about three hundred, more than two-thirds of which are inside the compound. However, with how large this compound is, they are still very scattered, so it is possible to get through while only fighting a few of them. You asked how he as so many men. My theory is simple. Money. I'm under the impression that most of these men are People Of The Land mercenaries, which would explain why a lot of these men have cheap equipment and little skill with their weapons." Klide cleared his blades and re-sheathed them in their proper places at his hips. "In fact, I would say that it is probable that only a third of these men are Adventurers. However, I will keep you updated on their numbers. I based my estimate off the size of this facility and by how lit it is. However, with the scarcity of men I've seen while passing through, I am not sure three hundred is a good estimate any more. At most, it may be two hundred, though the border guard they have is likely a large amount of that. There seem to be more over there than here." Klide had been scanning the roof for an entrance point whilst he spoke with Dumah. Fortunately, he had found a small trap door which he raised slowly to look inside. There was a well lit hall below, and a warm gust of air escaped the interior of the mansion, mixed with the smell of baked goods. He slid through the hole, closing the door silently behind him as he descended, and dropped to the ground without making so much as a dull thump sound. He walked down the empty corridors, unfortunately for him they were very well lit. He looked into a few of the rooms, finding various things, though none of them were unexpected. He found an elegant study, the walls covered in bookshelves, as filled to the brim. He found a small bath, though it was empty at the moment, he also found a large room with an oaken floor. The walls held various weapon cases, some for display and others for simply holding the weapons. They were all rapiers. "Is this man an avid fencer then?" Klide though to himself. He turned to exit the room, but was met by the face of three guards. And on a balcony above, there was a regal man, presumable the one who had taken Dumah's daughter, and Klide now had a need to murder. The regal man spoke thus "Hello down there Mr. Swashbuckler. Well... don't you look acerbic. Calm yourself. The girl is perfectly safe. I have not harmed her. Though with how you look, she may be terrified if she sees you, if you can make it to her." Klide looked down at himself. He has small splats of blood coating his clothes, and he probably looked like a crazed animal to the man above him. "What is your name you bastard! Where are you keeping the girl" Klide shouted at the man. The man chuckled softly "Those answers will come with time young man." Klide was done listening to him. He had a job to do, and he was going to do it. He ran towards the men guarding the doorway. He fainted to the left, then charged to the right, jumping to onto one of the display cases and springing up towards the balcony. He reached it, though just barely and yet still not enough, because the tip of a sword was already resting on his nose. "Go back down and fight those men honorable. If you win, you will be free to search this mansion some more, unless you take another bad step and then you get to play another of my mini-games. Honestly though, I do not expect you to make it out of this room, unless it is in the form of bubbles." "Is this all a game to you you crazy son of a..." Klide was interrupted by the man "Yes, yes it is just a game. but whats wrong with that. You stepped into my home and tried to attack me, so I think making you into a toy is more than justified." With that, he pushed Klide fingers off the balcony with his feet. Then he walked away, disappearing through a tall, dark door. Klide looked back at the men. All three were armed with rapiers. "So i am expected to loose against you scum? Fine, I'll play along." He walked over to the display case he had used to jump off of. Sending his current two swords into his inventory, he pulled the two swords out of the case. They were both beautiful swords, each enlaid with a large jewel in the pommel. Klide slide the sheathes of the two swords into his belt, and held both swords in hand. "Now were on ground as equal as it can be, please send your first one up to face me." the man on the right stepped forward. He seemed to be excited about this fight, almost as if it was his first one. He stood before Klide, and placed a clenched fist holding a sword in the center of his chest so that his sword's blade seemingly divided his face into two halves. Klide simply crossed his swords in front of him, and waited for the man to attack. He did not wait long. The man stepped in, and made a quick slash across Klide's blades. Klide recoiled, first by pressing his right sword under the man's sword, pushing it up into the air, and then by thrusting his left rapier through the man's chest. He jumped back, and let the man curse about the wound. The man once again attacked, this time more weary of the left sword. He kept himself busy blocking both at once. Klide decides to change his tactic to something not used in traditional fencing. He jumped over the man and as he fell on the other side, he extended his blades to kill. One blade landed inside the man's collar bone, the other ending up deflected by his hand guard. Klide stepped back. "Impressive, you respond well to surprises." Klide stepped forward and thrust both of his swords. He intentionally stabbed at the man's sword, rending it useless to block the second, which caught the man's heart. Klide stepped back and watched the man slowly disappear. "Good bye lad, you fought well." Klide placed his left hand in the center of his chest, his sword's blade in the middle of his face, and then he bowed to the opponent. "Now for the next one."Word Count: 1251 Total Word Count: 5188+1251=6439 Tags: @dumah , Saskia , Bailin , Kogeki

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________Her iron greaves scraped against the soil as another violent cracked of Balgrof’s sword collided with shield, forcing her to slide back. A sharp breath escaped her lungs as she tucked her chin into her chest. Her eyes grew wide open with the sensation of fear as she looked at the dirt tracks of her heels below while she was being pushed back bt the violent overweight aggressor. Her heart sank as her gaze began to search frantically for options. She tried to run off to the side and allow her resilence to help her recuperate, but the regen effect was small only recovering a mere insignificant fraction of her health as she squinted at her opponent, panting lightly, glaring at his health bar, he was about eighty percent of the way full and she realized the her stats where just about the same after the brutal onslaught. Saskia shifted in her tactics and began to focus mentally on the essence of defense as an illuminating sky blue glow engulfed her body. She held her sword over the top of her shield as Cool Defense began to activate itself.
She glanced at her small mini-map that had a small grid of a map and had Bailin’s player dot closing in on her position.
Just got to buy myself a little more time...
Saskia gritted her teeth and dashed forward, sending a sharp thrust to to guardian who staggered back as the sharp steel seared through his armor, digitally wounding him as blood effects slashed out. Saskia wince at the sight, and closed her eyes looking away, leaving herself open for the Guardian to utilize a skill of his own.
“Hammer Beat!” Balgrof shouted in a booming voice as his raised up above Saskia’s head and smacked her clean across the face which made her groan as he spun out of control a few feet back and shook her head before regaining her defensive posture. She knew she couldn’t afford making herself vulnerable again. She frowned at the health she lost as her health bar ticked slightly higher after each bracket of seconds. She glanced at her mini-map and noticed the player dot for Bailin was only a few meters away so she glanced at Balgrof and started snickering.
“Times up, chump...”
“Oi, what in bloody hell are you snickering for? You got a few screws loose, girl?” Balgrof grunted back before Bailin entered the fray with finesse and a dynamic entrance, thrusting his rapier into the behemoth. The warrior groaned as he wobbled a few feet from the blow.
The ruslting of bushes and snapped twigs could be heard as out from the forest a smoldering ball of heat burst through the woods and smacked the giant in the helmet before he could retaliate at Bailin. Saskia couldn’t believe her eyes as the intense glare that radiated from Dumah spelled death as he launched another vicious Fireball Pitch at the guardian. With a lustful vengeance in his gaze, the corrupt knight unleashed his wrath upon Dumah, swinging wildly at him like a mad viking. Saskia’s eyes quivered slightly as she gasped, not able to perform a taunt in enough time, she watched Dumah’s health quickly deplete. However, the battle wasn’t over, maintaining control of his spell , the swashbuckler, Dumah, rendered his foe into cinders as he burst into gold and anima bubbles. A well fought victory to say the least. Saskia rushed to his side as he collapsed to his knee injured. Saskia reacted instinctively as she toggled the Cool Defense skill off as it was draining her mana reserves.
“Damn...Dumah...you’re hurt. Hold on...I picked up a little skill for situations, I thought it might be useful...” Saskia replied as she stood up. “I have no idea how to use this spell manually but, just give me a sec, here....”
Saskia pulsed out her hand and swirled her fingers in a gracefu wave as a electronic display of data expanded in front of her. She began sliding fingers and manipulating buttons to access her list of skills. Her eyes scrolled down to the bottom before she selected a tactical adventurer skill.
She waved a hand over at Dumah, selecting him as a target, noticing the blue cursor above his head. She activated the skill as a white whirlwind manifested from her palms and vibrant holy aura of anima infused lightly with Dumah’s body. It would provided a angelic aura as it tenderly healed a fraction of Dumah’s wounds, for a nice chunk of Saskia’s mana pool.
Saskia paused glance at his health bar increase a decent amount. It was the best she could offer as magic spell was not her area of expertise.
“How do you feel?” Saskia inquired, as she glanced over at him, then up at Bailin as if signalling him to keep an eye out for any more unwanted guests.

As Bailin arrived at the fight he noticed Saskia fighting the tin canned man, a fight she seemed to be losing, though just barely. The two of them shouting taunts back and forth. Rushing forward Bailin jabbed at the seams of the tin man’s armour; the inside of his knees, the openings under his armpits, the inside of his elbow joint, in short: the weak points of plate armour. His first jab was the inside of the right knee, making the tin canned man grunt in annoyance. As a level four character Bailin couldn’t do much damage, but being a pain in their general rears was something he actually could do and pull off. His Warden armour made him a tad faster than the man in plate and combined with his rapier, which was slimmer and lighter than the man’s sword, made him able to strike fast, though he still was limited to the animations allowed by the game. Before he could land more blows Dumah stepped in, looking like the devil himself, not even attempting to block or dodge any incoming attacks, the blade sliding through him as he kept stepping forward, either unaware of the pain it would normally would have caused or through sheer will power biting through it and walking onward. When Dumah had reached the guardian he grabbed the tin can man’s head and unleashed a fireball, undoubtedly caused much damage as the man shrieked in agony. Next up Dumah took his sword and jammed it through the eye slit of the man’s helmet, probably splitting its head in two or at least close enough to it. Saskia was the first to speak out, whilst Bailin stood still, both in awe as well as in fear. ‘So this Dumah fellow is pretty scary… I’d rather not be on his bad side.’ He thought to himself. As Dumah fell to his knee Saskia asked him how he was feeling, though it was pretty obvious. Next she did something he didn’t even bother to try and understand. Dumah let out an annoyed growl as Saskia shot Bailin a look that he should keep an eye out for trouble. “Yeah, so Sas, dear, next time I ask someone to keep you out of trouble, don’t go looking for it yourself. I might get tired running after you and remember: I don’t have a horse! I’m also going to assume Mister Dumah will be fine in a bit? Though you really have to tell me that neat trick you just pulled off. It looks horrifying.” Bailin said, not looking at the swashbuckler and guardian but rather surveying the general area around them. *OC: I'm drawing a bit of an inspirational blank at the moment, very sorry, hope I can pick things up soon again.* @blazeedge @dumah Kogeki Saskia WC 443

As the young girl awoke, her hands bound by an Enchanter's Astral Bind, her eyes fluttered open and surveyed the room, taking in her surroundings. A dimly candle lit room with walls of stone and a floor of wood. She was horrified, but no matter how much she tried to scream, no voice escaped her lips. An unknown young man's voice was heard nearby. "Do not even try. You have been Muted. Came into possession of a rather lucky find, and when put into a potion, the target is temporarily muted." A silver haired man walked up to Alette with an ominous smile. Alette, still bound, did her best to squirm away. The silver haired man spoke once more. "Tell me, do you have any family?" Alette nodded her head, still afraid of the man. "Are any of your family members rich? Are any of them noble men or women?" To both of the man's questions, Alette shook her head. He sighed as her voice soon returned.
"Who are you...?" She asked, a palpable fear in her voice.
The man smiled his ominous smile once more. "My name is Adolf."

"Now for the next one." This was Klide's though right after finishing off the first of the apposing swordsmen. He let his left hand drop from his heart and looked down at the two rapiers which he now held in his hands. They were bloody at the tips and he swung them in a circle, stopping abruptly to send the blood off of the blades. Next, he turned to face the remaining two men and asked "So... Which of you is next?" He was careful with is tone, not wanting to sound cocky. He knew that these men had to be skilled, there was no way the man he had met earlier could be so confident that he would be safe unless these three were exceptional warriors. "Hmmm... Unless it was a bluff? No, he was not the type to bluff about matters of this sort." Klide shook his head as he silently disagreed with himself. He fixed his eyes on one of the men, he had started to move. The man had been the one on the left. He drew a very plain rapier from his belt, and stood before Klide, his feet about two thirds of a meter apart, ad with his sword extended out before him. Klide mirrored the man's pose, with all but one alteration. He shifted his right hand forward as well, holding two swords pointing towards the opponent rather than just a single blade, though one was further back than the other. He stood in that pose, waiting and slowing his breath silently, watching the man for any sign of movement. Suddenly, quick as a whip, the man sprang to life. He jumped into the air and extended his sword out at Klide. He was trying to finish the battle as quickly as possible. Klide side stepped the attack and stabbed the mans side with his left sword, deflecting his opponents counter attack with his right sword. He pulled his sword out from the man's side as his foe fell to the floor. The swordsman got up quickly and attacked again, swinging wildly. He was not a skilled fencer, so it seemed that he relied purely on brute strength. Klide countered with his left sword, and lit a long cut across the man's chest with his other rapier. He was beginning to doubt that these men were worth fighting. The apposing swordsman swung again, but It was such a distasteful, ugly, unskilled swing, that Klide became angry that this man was even allowed to fight. He did not even use his swords to block as the strike came toward him, and instead spun around, round house kicking the inept man in the chest, encouraging more blood to spurt from the wound in the swordman's chest wound. He then stabbed his swords into the man's shoulders. He let go of both, letting them stick in the man like some odd accessory. The foe let out a howl and charged again, swinging even more wildly. Klide side stepped the blade and got in close to the man, rending his sword useless. He grabbed the man's shirt collar and dropped onto his back, kicking the man up into the air and releasing his collar as he kicked. The men went up almost three meters before falling back down. He was disorientated by the fall, and stayed on his stomach. Klide reached over his shoulders, avoiding his sword tips sticking out through the back, and grabbed the handles of his swords. HE pulled them out while the man lay there, and stabbed both through his back, one in the neck, the other in the heart. As the man fizzled away, Klide didn't even bother bowing. He wiped the blood from his swords and turned around to face the third and final opponent. Dumah's wounds would have taken quite some time for a normal human being to recover from, especially if they were not in this new world of Elder Tale. Thankfully, however, the kind Guardian used a skill to heal those wounds of his. Dumah soon recovered a good bit and stood back up. "Thank you very much, Ms. Saskia." He bowed to her in thanks as he looked around and remembered the directions Klide had provided him for finding the stronghold where Alette was being held. "Come; we should set off for the stronghold." With that, Dumah led the party in the direction he had been informed of. He put his hand to his ear again, muting himself to those around him. His lips moved silently as he spoke to Klide. "We are heading towards the stronghold now. We will make sure we defeat the man behind this and rescue Alette. Remember, this is not a slaughter, this is a rescue. If we do not have to kill, that would be best. The only one I want to kill is the bastard who took her from me." Dumah's right fist clenched tightly, and this spoke volumes of what his muted discussion was about to those following him. It did not take long to travel through the dense forest and find their way to the compound that Klide had already infiltrated. Dumah and his party found themselves looking at the stronghold through a shroud of shrubbery and a black night. "Alright, Klide, we are here now. Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________Saskia bit her lip a bit nervous to her surroundings as the gentlemen with the patch on his eye walked over to her and commented about how selfish it was of her to just dart off and looking for trouble on her own. Especially when she knew her partners would not be able to catch up with her movement speed at all, while she remain mounted. He then inquired about Dumah’s health, which made Saskia examine his physical condition.
“Y-...Yeah, Bailin, he’s going to be fine...just fine. Only a fresh wound, right Dumah?” Saskia asked, though she was nervous about the whole situation, she attempted to lighten the mood a bit. It was a hard attempt as she herself wasn’t smiling very hard at all. She was happy however, that none of them got sent all the way back to the cathedral, which was a good distance away from their current location.
When Bailin began to inquire about the nature of her skill, she looked up with a graceful and spoke tenderly. “Well, I value my team and thought it would be a blessing to have one of the skills I noticed on the adventurer skills. It’s a spell anyone can use called heal. It’s not very mana effiecient, but it can be someone’s saving grace on the field of battle.” Saskia stated as she bobbed her head in an affirmative manner, then tilted her head to look after Dumah, much like a practicing nurse would.
“You feeling better now, Dumah? We best get moving...” Saskia replied s she was very anxious to make sure his daughter was secure.
Dumah began to wait until his health completely recovered while out of combat and then rose to his feet. He thanked Saskia kindly which in turn made her smile brightly from ear to ear. It was a pleasant notion to her that she had been useful. She hadn’t been involved in group combat against other players. It was a whole different chain of events than fighting monsters. Monsters on one hand, were more predictable in nature once you learned their skills. Players on the other hand, had an array of skills they could possibly use to their advantage. This made Saskia very nervous, especially after getting an estimated head count of how many she would be up against. She began to rub the back of her head, drowning her thoughts in doubt.
As much as she wanted to help, she didn’t feel very confident about this at all. But then again, what did they have to lose by trying? Only some experience and a trip to the cathedral. Sure, they could just pack their things and her and Bailin could go back home, but at what cost? The life of a young girl was hanging in the balance and only these few knew about it. The angel of justice was beckoning Saskia to take that leap of faith and join Dumah on his quest. She stood there watching him as he prompted her to come with him. Saskia froze momentarily before looking at Bailin. She couldn’t help the sense of fear that overwhelmed her, but somewhere in his gaze, she found seeds of courage that sprouted from her heart as she gave him a brief nod, slightly more confident as she set out behind Dumah and whistled for her horse to go away.
The horse began to neigh lightly before it would dissipate into a mist, and Saskia would have to trek alonside the others in her heavy iron greaves. She eavesdropped on Dumah as he spoke to the other individual via telepathy. Saskia couldn’t help but wonder if the mysterious man was alright. She wondered if he had gotten hurt, or worse, if he had already been spotted somehow by now. Saskia walked timidly through the forest, her hands fidgeting as she followed along. After their journey they arrived at the designted location. Saskia took a deep breath and lowered herself, pressing her spine against a rock. She peered out to take a gander at the sentries, there were a few of them, and they seemed slightly organized, but not enough to be a well unified militia. They didn’t seem to have the synergy of a cohesive unit and possibly may have not really worked with each other before. Saskia glared at them then glanced over at Bailin and Dumah.
“Hey Bailin...you said something about a ranged weapon...got anything that can get us a better look at what we’re up against, looks like we could use a bit of Reconnaissance.” Saskia whispered quietly.
Silently, she began to whisper a prayer for the girl, Alette, for her safety in the calm of this hellish storm.

After his reprimanding Saskia for her rash behaviour and asking Dumah to tell him the secret of walking through an enemy assault, Bailin kept surveying the surroundings, whilst Saskia healed the swashbuckler. The guardian- girlfriend had bit her lip and looked away whilst he was giving her his reprimand on her rather rash act of darting off to pursue an enemy. Saskia stammered a bit after his reprimand and have been sent to heal, suggesting it was merely a flesh wound, as if she were playing down the seriousness of the injuries. When she was done with you Dumah thanked the guardian with some words and a grateful bow, the gesture making her smile. After his inquiry about her healing skills she mentioned it was a general but adventurer’s skill and she has figured would probably be useful as she valued her team. However she mentioned the scale was not that efficient, which made Bailin think that the skill would probably cost more mana compared to the healing it woud confer. However she did make a valid point about it possibly being someone’s lost saving grace on the field of battle.
After the healing part of their endeavour on the swashbuckler was over, which took a while because they waited until the swashbuckler was back at full health, Dumah suggested they should set out for the stronghold, the guardian agreeing with him. Saskia shot Bailin a quick glance as if she were doubting her role on their mission, as was hinted at by the glint in her eyes, though quickly after looking at him that changed into her giving him a quick nod as if she had found her will to venture further, sending Icarus away with a quick whistle. Thus Duham lead the party towards the direction in which the hostile stronghold most likely would be. The swashbuckler was speaking without words, clenching his right fist as he put his left hand to this ear, most likely having a, unsettling composition through telepathy. ‘I should have learned how to read lips’ Bailin thought to himself, as he noticed the clenched fist and assumed it was not a pleasant conversation. The swashbuckler took them through some dense forest to a hidden compound. Along the way Bailin tried to avoid stepping on any tree branches lying on his path, the sound of cracking wood would most definably alert their enemies to their presence, more than some of their friends just disappearing which could be accounted to numerous things. ‘In game terms, this would be a stealth check.’ Bailin thought, thinking back on the one or two occasions he had played a table top roleplaying game. In the end the party ended up in the dark of night peering through shrubbery at the hidden compound where there were some obstacles in their way but not many, a lot less than he would have anticipated.
From their hidden spot they observed the coming and goings of the hide out, when Saskia suddenly whispered if Bailin had something to give them a better look at the place so they could do a little bit of snooping around, calling it reconnaissance.
Whispering back he said: “I have a scope however it is a buff skill, the description says it has to be attached, thus it is currently not usable, due to a lack of proper weaponry. Also, Dumah, what’s the plan?”

"So, You are the last one?" Klide looked at the man who stood before him, he looked regal, smart, wiry, like fox. Klide was hoping this fight would be over quickly, because this man was a serious threat. "So it would seem master Swashbuckler. I can safely say that your skills were not exaggerated by my colleague." He said to Klide, who stood rather confused "Colleague?" he asked. "Yes. You would know him as the man on the balcony, whom you attempted to murder. He followed you out of the forest where you left your two companions. Your killed a total of nine men was it? And that does not even include the two men you just finished off in the duels. Good work, and you did not even get a scratch. However, your fighting ends for now." The third man said to Klide with a smile. "What do you mean, Ends? I still draw breath from the lungs, and as long as I breath, I see no reason why I can not fight. You have some poor men in this company, their equipment was not good." The duelist before him looked like he could not believe his ears. "For one with such skill, you lack heart master Swashbuckler. If a flower looses all of it's petals, is it still not a flower?" the man asked Klide "well... Yes. I supp..." Klide was cut off by the man. "Yes, It is, then how can we judge a man by that which he possesses. As you agreed, A flower without it's petals is still a flower. Similarly, a man who has nothing is still a man. We do not label him because of that which he has and has not. Because then we are saying that we are superior to one another. Man can not live like that. You do not know what the men you judge have lived through, just as they do not know what your life has been like. Take pride in who you are and respect the strangers around you master Swashbuckler, only then can you be happy." He looked at Klide with a smile, but not one of deceit and hatred, It was a smile filled with kindness. "What is your name? I am called Zefir." he waited for Klide to speak, still smiling. "I... I am Klide. I... Why do you speak to me with kindness, am I not your enemy?" He asked the man named Zefir. "I am your enemy only in name. Please, pass, save the girl, and kill my master. He has put me and my brother under a binding contract, and if he dies that contract will be void. You actually already know my brother, you fought him first. Thank you for being respectful to him in the fight." Klide was more and more confused with each moment that passed in the conversation. "I should thank you, you have taught me something important today." Klide said as he put the rapiers back into their display case. "Be warned, your friends will have trouble entering the compound. My correspondent may have told me of your endeavors, but that just means he told the master as well. The guards you saw wandering around the compound will likely be closing in very shortly to make a perimeter around the central mansion we are in now. If your friends try to enter, they will have a hard time getting through." Klide walked over to the man, muting his connection with Dumah for a moment. He trust out his hand to shake and smiled up at his former foe. When Zefir took his hand, Klide grabbed it firmly and wrapped his other arm around the man's back. He embraced the man and thanked him for his words before stepping back and unmuting his world from Dumah's ears. "I'm off to get Alette now." he said as he exited through the door, looking back once more at Zefir. Word Count: 661 Total Word Count: 7073+661=7734 Tags: @dumah , Saskia , Bailin , Kogeki

"Mr. Klide, we are now at the compound. The perimeter is fairly short on guards, so access should not be too big of a difficulty. Find the room Alette is being held in, then wait for us." Dumah looked around as he spoke, looking for a point of easy access. Soon, he found a wall that had been torn away at after centuries of erosion. Dumah signalled to the rest of his party and dashed to it, climbing the wall fairly easily. After helping the others climb up, he managed to get inside the compound. "Alright, Mr. Klide. We are in; I need you to give me directions to your location." As Klide gave Dumah a series of directions, he walked to each location he was led to. After some time, he and the entire party found themselves standing before a large door. Dumah turned to his party members and looked to them all in turn. Saskia, the Guardian; Klide, the Swashbuckler; and Bailin, the Warden. "Everyone... Let us not fail, and safely retrieve my daughter." Dumah once again turned to the doors, placing his hands upon both, he gave a strong push.
As he opened to the other room, he saw a horror no parent would ever wish to see: Alette, bound in a corner of the room, had numerous cuts and marks. Her cheeks were soaked with her tears, and beside her was a silver haired man. One Dumah never expected to see in his life again, and even less in Elder Tale. Dumah spoke worriedly to his daughter. "Alette!!"
She looked up and cried out in a fragile, trembling voice. "Daddy!" Her voice was uneasy, mixed with her tears and gasps of despair.
The silver haired man from before looked over his shoulder and smiled, as if intrigued, chuckling to himself. "My my, could it be? You couldn't possibly be the young man from the theater in London! It truly is a small world, would you not agree?"
Dumah was angered beyond belief, and was shocked to recognize the man. His query regarding the theater man only confirming Dumah's theory. "Adolf Steinfaust... Even in this world, you have not changed one bit..."
Adolf stood nonchalantly. "On the contrary, you see. In this world, my name is simply Adolf. No stigma of that god awful syndicate I was born into. But whatof you? What has changed since you came here, Mr. Nordin Reecendo?"
Dumah's voice rose. "Do NOT call me that! I am now Dumah Exilium Iino, of the Noihara Knights!" Dumah pointed to the young, victimized gitl. "And that is my daughter. Give her back!"
Adolf grinned maniacally. "Hmm... Perhaps... However, I am afraid I cannot. I've a friend researching this world, and he is interested in your daughter. I will be honorable and I shall not divulge her secret here." He smirked, as if he were in the right. Moments later, he was joined by three Adventurers: A Guardian, an Enchanter, and a Cleric. "Atepomarus..." The Cleric prepared for battle as his name was called. "Divinus..." The Enchanter stood back and began casting buffs on his allies. "Atlas..." The Guardian slammed the bottom tip of his shield to the ground as he was called for.
Dumah drew his Windsor Antiqua Long Sword in his left hand tightly. "I swear, Adolf, I will kill you for what you have done!"

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________ Saskia had knelt down at the field of grass behind the boulder in an overwatch position of the fortress. She began to contemplate their options. None of which seemed to have the end result of her and the others surviving this prelude to disaster. Her brow wrinkled, stained with worry.
She was to have the role of a Guardian in all of this. But how on earth could one woman, no matter how strong her resolve, could ever hope to overcome such adversity? It felt like giving Dumah an empty promise. She knew the strength of a Father’s heart however, and the was no way in hell they were backing down now.
The sand shifted beneath her knees as she squinted further into the field, watching the soldiers march cautiously throughout the area. They seemed to be slightly more vigilant in nature as the patrols seemed to happen at twice the pace as before. It was becoming to be an utter pain just watching them toil around, occasionally sharing a brief hearty laugh among each other when they passed by. Saskia frowned looking at Bailin with a face casting a sign of doubt.
He spoke of his ability and theninquired to Dumah about his intentions given the current situation. Apparently Dumah must have been informed of some news of a possible avenue of approach because he took off soon after and waved at Bailin and herself to follow. Saskia was shocked that he was so bold as to just dash off. This type of operation to Saskia seemed like it required a great deal more patience, but she shrugged those thoughts off realizing there was nil to be said to a father with blood in his eyes. She gave Bailin a brief nod then went running after Dumah, trying her best to keep a low profie and not be spotted. The shiny glint of her armor was a pain to have to deal with as it was not ideal for concealing her position in the woods. Somehow she managed to luck out and enter the hall with Dumah, alongside Bailin.
They slowly approached the door where she met the strongest of the group. Quite possibly the contact Dumah had been talking to this whole time. She gave him a curt nod, trying to remain silent. She was wary about Dumah’s whispers as they might alert the enemy, but it was already too late. Dumah flung open the door and the sight that followed was a graven image.
There was a girl that laid on the floor, marks of enduring the horrors of torture etched on her skin. Saskia instantly gritted her teeth at the man as he spoke of London, noticing an uncanny familiarity with Dumah. Apparently there was some bad blood and they knew each other prior to ever playing elder tales.
Saskia ripped her sword from her scabbard and was about to charge violently at Adolf, until she hesitated, taking a step back to notice a Cleric, an Enchanter, and another Guardian enter the fray. She made a light grunt a she glanced between all of them. Contemplating her next move, she saw the enchanter preparing to cast buffs. Knowing a Guardians role to prevent damage of their allies, she knew that if the Guardian was planning to use any abilities similar to cover, he’d have initiated a cooldown, which would have given others the opportunity to strike possibly. Saskia moved in to intercept the Enchanter and would attempt to hinder him with a slice of her sword as she toggled on her protective Guardian skill [Cool Defense].
