The library, huh? Nisha had wondered when next she would stumble in here, last time she had been here with... or rather met with oxford and scoria, back then it had been bustling with people reading and trying out things. Now it was less full, but it was none the less silent, that weird silence that was actually a soft whisper in your ears when you tried to concentrate. Denying you the sweet lull of silence and making you wonder what kind of things everyone else was talking about. For once thsi happened because of the echo that this huge hall, only broken up by shelves over shelves stacked full with books and several monumental columns holding the roof, created and the other reason was that all sounds were muffled by the books, as if they were sucking up the words and adding them to their own. But Nisha was not here today to read but rather to come up with something new, maybe learn something from the list of recipes that had been added. She remembered how lost she had been the first time when she had been here, running around like a headless chicken trying to find some kind of reference book, but now it was much easie... And she was lost. Sighing, Nisha looked around and saw that she was just where she wanted to be, she had just not recognized it again, the books looked much more professional now and less joke titles were included, no 'how to raise a paper dragon' or 'folding your own wife' anymore. All of them good and solid reference books on how to craft, or rather how to scribe. Picking out some of the books, knowing that she would look smarter if she carried not only one book and this way could occupy some more space, Nisha wandered over to the long tables, kind of reminding her of the house tables of that one old book, harry something or another? Nisha knew that her mother had read it to her for a while and that it had been a huge hit back then and even now was considered a classic, but Nisha had never much cared about those types of books. She liked the web books, audio books or holo books more than actual hard copies. Her parents liked those more, but then again, they were old and did not know better.
Sighing once more, this time at her own arrogance and nearly really thinking that her parents were old. Sitting down on the table, putting the books around her like a fortress, Nisha stood up again and walked over to a cabinet, pulling out some ingredients she thought she could use. Sitting back down in her fortress and shooting glances at everyone else, she quickly unequipped her shoes and felt her toes relax in her socks. Satisfied, she looked at the stuff she had pulled out of the shelves and opened a book with scribe recipes, browsing them to find some inspiration. She already had something in mind, but getting some ideas from other people was only fair in her book. Maybe if she really felt the need, she would even go back to the ghost mansion to research some more there. There were many more books and Nisha had always felt she had missed out by running away from the ghosts back then. But what happened had happened and she had created the, ah, there it was, the intermediary grimoire. Kind of a weird name, but at least something she could be proud of since it was exactly what Nisha had looked for back then. An updated version of the grimoire. Ah, well, as she was now though she was far from making a better version, actually she had barely advanced herself in scribehood since back then. Maybe it was really time to push this a little and research something great while still leveling her scribeness. If it was just that easy, huh? Explody things though... Hmm... Maybe, her idea had sounded a bit too high anyway, so she might just start with the basics. Or well, if not basics at least refine or redo what was already there. "This seems interesting enough, just need some ingredients." Nisha mumbled and sorted through the stuff she had, picking out some paper first, she had to write after all and having no paper at hand would be pretty problematic. Not that she would need the best paper for this one, reusable was the theme this time around. If she could make this it would definitely be an interesting turn out.

It had been many months, possibly a few years since he had stepped inside of a library. Especially one that looked as grand as this one. Legions of book shelves on multiple floors filled the interior of the building. Numerous types of books could be found here. An almost limitless supply of knowledge laid out on the shelves that housed these books. My beginning starts here. Myrddin thought as he tapped the bottom of his staff against his left foot. "Where to begin?" He wondered, as he watched countless people wander around the first floor. His eyes scanned the balcony of the second floor and saw a few meandering around with books already open in their hands. Some even seemed to be comparing notes. Myrddin lowered his gaze back to the first floor and began his search for the assistance desk, or a stray librarian that might help him.
After a few minutes of wandering he was approached by a young man in dark brown robes. He had half moon spectacles and beady eyes. His features were sharp, like that of an elf, but he lacked the long pointed ears. "Might I be of assistance?" He asked politely, his speech slow and formal. So much so in fact that Myrddin couldn't tell if he was a Lander or an Adventurer without opening his status screen. After a brief moment of silence Myrddin replied that he was looking for books on being a scribe. The young man stared at him for a moment, his beady eyes scanning his face. "Of course, scribe work is quite important." He stated, his tone was so flat that Myrddin couldn't tell if he was being mocked or not. After a brief explanation of the location of the books the librarian gave Myrddin a nod and returned to his previous endeavor.
The enchanter set out to find the location of what he needed to work on his subclass. He had gone up in main levels but not his subclass levels, he felt as if he was slacking and wished to optimize his skills. He knew that in order to do that he would need to knowledge of how to go about crafting the items. After ten minutes of walking and getting somewhat turned around, Myrddin found the section he was looking for. He noticed a few of the books on the shelves were missing and wondered if they would be want he was after. As he stifled a yawn, the half-alv set his eyes to the spins of the books and proceeded to read the titles till he thought he found what he was after, all the while the fingers of his left hand drummed rhythmically on his staff to Destiny's Child's "Say my name".

UNKNOWN SONGS THAT TRAVELERS SING THEY SOUND FAMILIAR TO ME | Okay, deep breath, open the door, and...wow.
This was the first time Arrasi had ever stepped foot inside the library of the Elder Tale world. She didn't know what to expect, and had avoided it in favor of testing out the skills of her other two classes. The only reason she had chosen Scribe in the first place was because of all the mapmaking capabilities, but she didn't understand how important that was supposed to be until she had nearly gotten herself lost on a couple of deliveries. It had gotten difficult enough for her to handle that she finally decided to use the library to figure out how all this Scribing stuff was supposed to work. They would certainly have some reference books to help her, and where better to practice than a place filled with documents?
Unfortunately, Arrasi had horribly underestimated the size of the place. This was definitely not the library down the street; this was much, much bigger. Her eyes widened at the sight of all the shelves and shelves of books and scrolls. How did they organize all these? She'd have to find someone and ask. Taking a few hesitant steps inside, Arrasi scanned the library once more until she saw a slightly official-looking table with an NPC sitting behind it. That looked like the right way to go, so she bucked up the courage to make it the rest of the way, got his attention, and somehow managed to ask the right questions without stumbling over the words. Once he had pointed her in the right direction, she slowly started to make her way along the shelves, passing by another Scribe-subclassed player who was tapping out a rhythm on his staff to a song she just barely couldn't remember. As she scanned the titles, Arrasi began to realize something: she was desperately behind in her subclass levels. So much research had been done while she had been running around town making all sorts of random deliveries. How on earth had they figured out how to make so many different items in that time? Where did they even come up with half the stuff in the first place? Arrasi felt a draining sense of inadequacy as she skimmed the titles. These weren't all of the books, though. The NPC had explained that she Scribe shelves extended across the study area with the tables. Maybe the other side had some books with recipes that would help a Level 1 Scribe like herself. Encouraged by the thought, Arrasi picked up her pace, eyes focused on her new goal as she hastened across. She was about halfway there when she somehow managed to misstep, bump into a table, and knock over some of the books that had been piled on top by the Wolf-Hair girl who had been quietly studying...whatever was in those books.
“Oh dear! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to! I – Nisha?!” Arrasi had already pulled herself in a sitting position and had been gathering some of the books that had fallen before she even took the time to look up at the person whose desk she had messed up. It would have been fine if it had just been another random player, but Nisha, the girl from the rainy adventure debacle? Arrasi's face reddened as she uttered another apology. “Uhh...fancy seeing you here?”

It was actually pretty easy what Nisha wanted to do and would open up more research she had in mind, but first she would have to create the effect or something that could be used. In the end she wanted to create slips of paper that would have certain effects, or rather any effect. But this was something for when Nisha felt a bit more competent, and at the moment, she did not feel like that, rather from her long absence from any scribe work she felt like she should start over, maybe because of that she had unconsciously taken several beginner books as well, stacked them around her as if she could absorb what they were teaching by just simply being close to them. "Hmhm." Nisha exclaimed while reading up on some recipes, wondering how people had already come up with all these but no one had yet thought about creating more grimoires or real books. There were maps and all kinds of utilitarian items, but her book was the only advanced one that there was. Not that Nisha minded that all too much, rather she was kind of flattered by it, but quickly she shrugged the thought off to not get arrogant over it. The last thing she could need was that her ego got a boost and she became useless. That was definitely not what Nisha had in mind for the day, she wanted to get some real work done and this would definitely not help. But first something that helped even less happened, someone bumped against the table she was sitting and studying on, startled enough, Nisha felt herself losing balance and slowly moving back as the flood of books washed over her and made her go over the edge of the table. Only clinging to it with her legs and her tails trying to keep her hanging halfway on the table while she looked from down below who it was, only to grin up at the girl who it had been. Alice, or rather Arrasi, someone she had been on an adventure before and whom she considered a friend. Making a shush sign with her finger, but at the same time speaking out normally and a bit sarcastical, she said, still hanging from the table: "Hi alice, very nice to see you again, how have you been? Don´t worry, it´s fine. Ah, the books, yeah, uhmm... Could you help me up? I fear that if I move too much I will fall for real and pull all the books with me and I think the next time I ruin a book I will get banned from the library." Chuckling a little at her statement, Nisha wiggled a little with one of her free tails as if to beckon arrasi a bit closer. As for her getting banned, it was unlikely but not impossible, she had been getting some mean stares from some of the librarians after she had slept in the library that one time or was it after she had accidentally knocked over one of the bigger shelves? Or maybe it had been the incident with the robe? Whatever it had been, Nisha would like to not push her luck if it was not a total accident. One of those she usually produced unwittingly, well, whatever would happen would happen, she just hoped she did not break or destroy any of the books, that would be a real shame after all. And then there was the stuff she wanted to research as well, hopefully none of it was destroyed. Starting from scratch has always been something Myrddin has disliked. He doesn't like the feeling of not knowing how to do something. Which is a bit contradictory to his enjoyment in learning new things. He often wonders how he could be such a contradiction. During his pondering he felt his lips spread into a smile. "You're Scotch-Korean. You don't make a wee bit o' sense..." He said in his best Scottish accent. He chuckled to himself as he scanned a couple more books, "I don't even know what I'm looking for." He mumbled. "Couldn't they have a "How to Scribe For Dummies"?" As he reached the end of the row he heard a series of noises. Curious of the origin, Myrddin walked to the end of the shelf and peered around the corner.
To his surprise it was two people, both females, one was an elf while the other was a fox tail. From what he could see, the books had fallen to the floor and the elf girl was retrieving them. Although she apparently knew the foxtail, on account of when she looked up she used her name. “Oh dear! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to! I – Nisha?!” She said with redness spreading across her face. Most likely from embarrassment. He thought as she quickly resembled what he assumed the cousin of an Oompaloompa might look like. The elf girl was cute, her pointed ears and lithe-like body definitely fit the elven persona, though Myrddin made note of her seemly shy demeanor. After a moment he noticed that the foxtail girl was at an odd angle in her chair. “Uhh...fancy seeing you here?”
The foxtail, Nisha, had more than likely been caught off guard by whatever had caused the books to fall. Which by the elf girl's speedy apologies, he assumed it was her fault the books toppled, possibly by accident. "Hi Alice, very nice to see you again, how have you been?" She asked, due to his position he was unable to see Nisha's expression, but by the sound of her response he guessed she had a smile or a smirk or some sort. "Don´t worry, it´s fine. Ah, the books, yeah, uhmm..." She seemed to pause a moment before continuing. "Could you help me up? I fear that if I move too much I will fall for real and pull all the books with me and I think the next time I ruin a book I will get banned from the library." Myrddin heard her give a small chuckle as he moved closer.
"Being banned from this place wouldn't be the worse thing ever." Myrddin quipped, making his presence known by using his staff to make a muffled sound as it struck against the carpet. He had a relaxed smile on his face as he half-swaggered-half-limped over to Nisha's chair. "I hope my interruption is welcomed." He said as he pressed his palm against the back of the chair, placing it back into its upright position. Once the chair was safely back on all fours the enchanter stepped back and side stepped to a stray book. He bent at the knees and scooped up the thick tome. When it fell, it had fallen with the pages-side down; he quickly unfolded one of the pages and glanced at the book's contents. This is about crafting scribe items. Granted much more advanced than what I can make. He turned, closed the book, and placed it back onto the table, away from the edge. "However, being banned from here when your main source of craft knowledge is from here...that might be a problem." He grinned looked to the Elven girl. "Here." He stepped over toward the scattered books, knelt down, placing his staff to his side on the floor and picked up a couple tomes before he tucked them into the crook of his arm. "Are you both okay?" He asked, setting his stack of books onto the table.

UNKNOWN SONGS THAT TRAVELERS SING THEY SOUND FAMILIAR TO ME |
Arrasi had yet to correct Nisha on her own name, but at this point it such an amendment would be a waste of effort. The Wolf-Hair seemed set on keeping Alice as her nickname, so there was no point in trying to change it now. Instead, Arrasi gathered a few more books from the floor as she listened to Nisha. She looked up to see her perched precariously on her chair: one false move and she'd be on the ground with the rest of the books. Arrasi was about to drop all the books she had in hand and help Nisha up when they were interrupted by the sound of a thump on the carpet. Arrasi looked up to see a newcomer headed their way, keeping an odd pace with the staff he had equipped. He was quick to assist Nisha before Arrasi could even stand up again. Since that was taken care of, she grabbed one more book before she got back up on her feet and gently placed them on the table in as neat of a pile as she could manage. She had no idea how Nisha had organized them before, but she hoped it didn't matter too much.
“Heh, sorry about all this again, Nisha,” Arrasi said. “Hopefully you don't get banned – I mean, we're Scribes and the library is kind of the best place to use the Scribe skill.” She turned to the newcomer... Myrddin? What an odd name. He seemed nice enough, though, especially after he had gone through all the trouble of helping Nisha and picking up a few books on top of it. “Just like you said, it'd be a waste of a subclass to get banned from a place like this. And, uh...don't worry about us so much. I'm not sure about Nisha, but I'm okay. It was just a clumsy mistake on my part. Again, sorry, Nisha.” She really couldn't stop herself from apologizing for some reason, so she decided to take the opportunity to try to change the subject. “Anyway...what exactly are you two here for? I mean, I hate to admit it, but I've done next to nothing to up my Scribe levels, and I honestly don't know where to start in this place.”

Slowly but surely Nisha felt herself slipping until she heard a sound from a bit in another direction, moving her head a little, she saw another person get closer who was wielding a staff and made sounds with it by clacking it on the ground. So that had been the weird sound she had heard before that had rhythmically created that tune, huh? Well, it was definitely something to behold as she looked at it and wondered how he was able to be so rhythmic, Nisha had no rhythm at all if she did not concentrate very hard on it. And thus she kind of envied anyone who was a bard and even was good at singing or even those who had just a good sense of rhythm. Watching as he drew closer, she wondered if he would help her up, which he did, smiling at him while doing so, she finally sat atop the table again, sighing relieved. Falling down from the table would have hurt most likely and she would like to avoid any such situation since they usually occupied her mind for quite some time. "Thank you and nice to meet you..."Nisha paused for a moment, wondering what his name was and if she should just go with the flow or ask him directly, having no way of knowing it since her hud was mostly off was definitely more immersing and yet a bit weird to some as well. Not that Nisah took much care of catering to other peoples needs anyway. But first was alice who was apologizing all around. "Calm down, no harm done, see, all books intact and barely any hair lost from my fluffy fox tails, see?" Nisha added jokingly as she wriggled a bit with her tails as if to show that she was alright with the best indicators being the fluffiness of her tails. Looking at the books which were now resting all around her again, she pulled out the one she needed the most... actually maybe the only one out of the pile with the precision only someone who was used to chaos could have and triumphantly grinned at it before looking back up, having listened to both of them. Nisha had to agree though, scribe was indeed one of the more advanced classes and could be a bit... difficult to understand or master. Or even start, as she well knew. "Yeah, you are quite welcome and I have some good books around I used when I first started if you want. Usually I boost my scibeyness by reading them and learning how to do things. Oh and writing naturally. But what I like the best is actually finding out how far I can go with the research, you guys know how we can create and research new stuff, right? I came up with this one for example." Pulling on a chain that was fastened to her side, she lifted up her grimoire. A black one which looked quite menacing, if only the crimson pentagram did not have fox ears and looked more like a fox due to it. Making it look much less threatening and rather interesting... or so was Nisha´s intention. "A slightly advanced grimoire. It is a nifty little thing. Actually I am not all that much into crafting old or already done stuff." Grinning a bit at them both, she put her grimoire back and began to pull out two or three semi thick books. "Guess these are pretty good, they are on the basics of crafting, like how to write with ink and such since that can be pretty messy if you don´t know how, still have not figured it out totally, but maybe you guys will. My penmanship is sadly... below average. As for what I am doing right now, I want to create magical charms that can do some stuff, but before I go beyond the basics I would like to learn how they work, so I thought I would make a reusable block of them, let´s see, maybe six or so?" As she said so, she grabbed a page and ripped it into six pieces, took another and folded it to make it look like a L shape to fit in the pages. Taking care it was stiff enough with some pressing here and there to make it look a bit better. "Oh and watch out for needles, you need to bind books and they can be... Ouch." Nisha said as she pricked herself on the needle just as she had said so, but did not fall asleep eternally until a prince came to wake her up. Now she needed to look more into the exploding charms of the other guy who had crafted them, but first she needed to wait a bit until there was no blood trickling from her finger anymore, putting it into her mouth to keep it from bleeding everywhere and dirtying the future charms. "Owh ash for theh bahnin fhom theh libhahy, dohnt wohry too muchh. Itll beh fhine." She said with her finger still in her mouth. Myrddin wave off the fox tail's thanks as if it weren't needed. He smirked as he listened to the elven girl let her flood of apologies wash over the fox tail. Myrddin couldn't tell if she was nervously embarrassed or just tended to over apologize. Nisha spoke up in defense of the flood, "Calm down, no harm done, see, all books intact and barely any hair lost from my fluffy fox tails, see?" Wriggling her tails in demonstration. The enchanter found himself staring at the lady's tails intently, his eye brows furrowed in thought. This normally wouldn't look so bad if he were in the real world; however, in Elder Tale his race gave him sharp features when it came to his eyes. This would give off a somewhat sinister appearance. As he stared in thought, his fingers drummed on his staff to the beat of "The Fox" by Ylvis.
He wasn't sure when she began talking again. His thoughts had consumed his attention more than he realized. When his snapped back into his right mind he caught Nisha in mid sentence."...books around I used when I first started if you want. Usually I boost my scibeyness by reading them and learning how to do things. Oh and writing naturally. But what I like the best is actually finding out how far I can go with the research, you guys know how we can create and research new stuff, right? I came up with this one for example." She pulled out a thick black grimiore with a red symbol on it. At first glance it looked to be an upside down pentacle, only on further inspection could one see the top two points were made to look like ears. Fox ears to be exact. Myrddin chuckled fondly at it. "That's cutely menacing."
Nisha proceeded to explain the books she pulled from the pile. She then went into binding books. Ripping a page into six pieces and warning them to watch out for needles. And as if by the ironic hand of fate, she stabbed her finger. Quickly sticking it into her mouth to prevent any blood from getting anywhere, she spoke; saying something that he almost didn't catch. "Ballin' in the library, you say?" Myrddin joked, mocking her distorted word. "I do love to party." He said, cradling his chin in a ring made of his thumb and index finger.
"So you're both scribes then?" He asked a moment later, thinking back on the Elven girl's statement. "I too haven't done anything to boost my subclass. I feel I should since my actual level out weighs my subclasses." He scratched the side of his nose and chuckled, "I once read up on how to make paper and an ink pen. But it seems we don't have to talk with a carpenter about the frame needed. Is that true?" He wasn't sure if he hoped it was true or not. The idea of doing it like he had read was appealing.
