[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]ISOLDE [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Michiko Sumeragi [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 15 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Heterosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Holo, SPICE AND WOLF (Isolde) - Akira Amatsume, YOSUGA NO SORA (Michiko) [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Isolde [attr="class","bi2"]FACTION: Adventurer [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Michiko Sumeragi Also Michiko In the real world, Michiko would definitely be described as cute. Just looking at her face would tell you that she's a cheerful and energetic child just from the shine of her bright brown eyes. Her light brown hair was kept short and neatly framed her face. Often she'd have a small hair clip there for decoration. Often people would think she was younger than she is, since she's quite small, only barely making it over 5 feet. That, along with her preference for more girly clothes may lead to people to underestimate her, but that'd be a mistake. Isolde In Elder Tale, however, her persona, Isolde, is quite different – for one, not being human. Isolde is a Fox Tail, as one can see from the ears and the tail. Her hair is a more orangish brown in this world, and much longer, going all the way down her back. She's styled it in a slightly more casual hime, or princess cut, to reflect both her role and her race. Her red eyes are a bit more mischievous than cute, and her smile makes it look like she's up to something nefarious. Isolde's a little taller than Michiko, by about 3 inches, and she favours traditional Japanese clothing to play up to her class and the kitsune look she's got going. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Michiko's a reasonably active and outgoing girl who enjoys spending her time with friends and family. Her friends would describe her as generous, caring, and a bit of a crybaby. She's honest and wears her heart on her sleeve, but that also means that sometimes she boils over with anger, which is not a pretty sight. Still, even if she can be a little volatile, she tries her best to intuit how others are feeling and help improve their day. She tries to be a responsible girl, and will do what is expected of her with little complaint. Michiko takes her duties seriously, and isn't the type to leave a job unfinished or half-done. Still, even if she seems organised, it's mostly due to habit and a firm upbringing. When left to her own devices, she's more likely to focus on the now and let her attention wander. Sometimes she gets a little flustered when in large crowds of people she doesn't know, and has difficulty having her voice carry. Still, if given the chance, she'll make the effort to get to know someone. Michiko's rather innocent, and expects most people to be decent individuals. Unfortunately, even though she's quite capable, she lacks confidence in her own abilities, and is hesitant to take charge when there are other people willing to do so. Even if she believes they are wrong, she'll tend to defer to whatever authority there is. Personal attacks really get to her, and it's a coin flip if she'll lash out in anger or break down in tears. She's more likely to stand up for her friends than for herself. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]Michiko was the second child of Akio and Nanami Sumeragi, her older sister being Kohaku. Life in Totori, Japan was pretty sedate, although as a shrine family she did have responsibilities beyond that of other children. She was expected to help out with its maintenance, and although most of this fell on Kohaku, Michiko wanted to emulate her sister, whom she idolised. She did pretty well in school, and she had a particular knack for English. Still, even though Michiko was quite talented, she lacked confidence in herself. Whatever it was, it was holding her back from achieving more, so her family suggested that she take up martial arts as a way of self-improvement. Naginatajutsu helped out with that to some extent. The workout and the mental exercises were comforting, and she could fall back on them whenever she felt stressed or if she felt unable to do something. When she was nearing high school age, she ended up receiving an offer to attend school in the UK for a time as an exchange student. It would be a really big adjustment for her, but in the end Michiko decided to take this opportunity. It would be a great learning experience for her, and help her to understand the world better, even if it meant she'd have to live apart from her family and friends for the duration. It was tough adjusting, but at least her foster family was very nice, and experienced with housing foreign students. Even though she'd done well in English class back home, it was very different somewhere where absolutely everything was in English. Accents were also difficult to understand – there were so many different ones in England! Still, even if the culture shock was tough to deal with, it was a time that she'd be sure to cherish. It was while she was there that a new server for Elder Tale was released. It was a game that she'd seen her sister play sometimes, and looked kind of interesting. For some reason the UK server was using the Japanese class variants, too, which appealed to her. It could also help her out with her English, and she remembered the servers were connected, so if her sister still played they might be able to play together... [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] - Genuinely a spiritual person, even if her shrine duties back home were more like chores - Served as her class's representative in school - Her Shikigami takes the form of a white haired fox boy dressed in elegant clothing named Tristan. He switches up his fashion, usually depending on the role he is summoned for, but is always dignified, if occasionally condescending. |

Forms either a stationary barrier or a barrier around a target that continues to exist until the "energy" of the barrier expires. Energy will decrease slowly over time and decrease from damage taken. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Demon's Eye: This skill when activated will slightly increases accuracy rate of the user's weapons. It also causes the weapon to be immune to hit spirit-type mobs whom normally nullify incoming physical damage. Of course, a successful hit requires an active attack towards a desired foe regardless. There was one time when the developers received e-mails saying that "I've used the Demon's Eye and I still keep on missing on ghost mobs!" among others. For this reason, several balance changes were implemented. When used, this skill adds a blue radiance on one's eyes, a rather scary sight post-Catastrophe. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds, a duration of 60 seconds, and a cooldown of 70 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Summon Shikigami: The Shaman calls forth a shikigami, a humanoid familiar spirit, in a solid form. It is usually used in a support role, with tasks ranging from off-tanking to scouts to support DPS. There is a wide range of shikigami that a Shaman can summon, and they last for 5 minutes. In the original game, shikigami were treated as bonus content for players, with little to no practical use. However, after the Catastrophe, shikigami now share the same sensations with their masters, allowing shikigami to serve reconnaissance roles in battle. Of course, there are shikigami that well-loved by many as mascots. This skill has a casting time of 5 seconds. Only one Shikigami may be summoned at a time. [attr="class","skill"]Prayer of Recovery: A Shaman's unique healing magic skill, allowing for a small amount of healing with a short casting time and cooldown, although with a low base healing effect. When cast, bright blue magatama jewels surround the target and the sound of small bells can be heard. Is often called "Mini-heal" by many, and can be used as a form of encouragement to others. In the post-Catastrophe world, the sound of bells this skill makes are often interpreted as "greetings or prayers of a Shaman wishing for a safe return". This skill has a casting time of 1 second and a cooldown of 5 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Needlework: Due to the dexterity from which they perform their tasks, tailors are able to make up for any compromises in their ability. Any dexterity debuffs to a tailor can be recovered from twice as quickly. [attr="class","skill"]Holy Aura: A skill that places holy protection upon the target, lasting for an entire hour. Characters affected by Holy Aura recover from Mind/Curse status effects twice as fast as usual. Additionally, Corruption from Miasma and Heretic skills will now start to decrease two cycles after exposure, instead of three. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds and a cooldown of 60 seconds. Recasting the skill causes its duration to reset. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Chainmail: A basic set of chainmail armor made from cheap iron. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: N/A [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Starter Staff: A two-handed starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap wood. It is typically used to channel magic, but can also be used to whack people on the side of the head. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#1: [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#2: [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#3: [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#4: [attr="class","h3"]Inventory [attr="class","b2"] Winter Ball Dress, Level 1 This is a dress crafted by Isolde for the Winter Ball. It is light azure in colour, and has ruffles around the bustline. It is a strapless design that leaves the shoulders and part of the back exposed, but comes with some detached sleeves for the arms. Length-wise it goes all the way down to her feet and has several layers. Elder Tale Anniversary Medal: Level 1 accessory. A gold medal that was given out from voting or nominating in the Log Horizon RP's first annual end of the year awards. Its only effect is that equipping it causes either the Elder Tale title theme or the popular Elder Tale Theme Song from the Yamato server's 20th anniversary to play in the wearer's head. The song preference and music can be toggled on or off using the interface when this item is equipped. |
