Taking a nightly stroll Spade had decided to wander out further than what he is used to, while lost in his thoughts he happened to step in something wet. Being forced completely out of his erratic train of thought Spade had took an annoyed look at his black shoe and his brown pants. Seeing how wet it was he looked around so see what he stepped in and he saw that he had walked to a new area he never seen before, "This is new, I should go check it out." Spade had spoken to himself as he squinted his eyes to peer past the darkness, with trouble he was able to see that he was in a marshland. The areas he could see were mostly grassy so he assumed that there was less water showing then there was grass. Stretching his arms by extending them outwards Spade decided to see if he could get a nightly workout in so he could sleep better for it, Spade began to jump from grass patch to grass patch to pass time and it was his best attempt not to make noise. It didn't take long until he saw a figure moving slowly in the darkness from a distance so he ceased his movements so he could find out more about his victim, he stopped about 30 feet from the figure and knelt down ignoring the sloshing he could feel on the bottoms of his shoes. After a short amount of time Spade was able to identify that the figure was a weakened goblin scout, with a ding his HUD gave him the name of the monster and his level. "Level 3 weakened goblin huh? This should be a cakewalk." Spade said quietly to himself before looking for angles he can strike first from, he didn't see any type of physical cover since it was an open field but he may be able to use the darkness to his advantage if he didn't make that much noise.
Taking slow crouched steps towards the goblin made Spades impatient but he was unsure of his abilities against a higher level creature so he was going to put himself at an advantage, after a minute of time had passed Spades was within 8 ft of the goblin so he was within striking distance. Taking a deep breath Spades, leaning far forward to stay relatively low, charged at the surprised goblin. The creature tried to react but Spade was far too fast and he started the battle by hitting the goblin with his left fist underneath it's rib cage, Spade did not know much about the anatomy of goblins but if they were like humans then he may have hit the thing in it's kidney. From his experience a surprise attack from the kidney would knock the wind out of anything. With luck he had made the right decision and the goblin doubled over in pain, taking this initiative Spade used his foot and copying off a soccer players penalty kick he aimed for the side of the ribs and flipped his victim over onto it's back. Spade seeing that he dealt a great amount of damage to the creature he the stood over the goblin and using his weight he straddled it pinning it's forearms with his knees so it would have a difficult time escaping and he began to repeatedly strike at the goblin's lower face. After the 6th strike it was able to get a bearings for itself and struggle to escape the perilous situation that it was forced into but the random assailant. It was already too late as Spade had the greater body weight and his health was still at 100%, Spade was aiming for the lower part of the goblin's face just so it can see who was going to end it's life; after a minute or so the goblins mouth had very few teeth in them and it's nose was broken and bent at a more awkward angle.
Spade decided to release it because it had about 20% of it's health left, the second he got up the goblin jumped up in a attempt to run away but Spade was used to situations like this so he placed his foot behind the goblins knee causing it to immediately fall over. He repeated this process many times as the goblin jumped up the run away and spade tripped him again making it fall face first into the shallow water, after a while it gave up and resigned itself to death by getting on it's knees with it's head hanging low but Spade decided to take it a step further and he didn't trip it this time. He simply stood there watching it with a smirk on his face, the goblin too scared to move and too weak to fight back it felt cornered and helpless. Reaching it's limit the goblin began to sob lightly shoulders shaking in tune with it's verbal cries, this being a complete first for Spade he thought it was hilarious. He began to laugh lightly at first barely audible enough to hear over the goblin's sobbing but when the goblin noticed that Spade was laughing it started to plain cry as loud as it can, in tandem to this Spade laughed even louder actually having fun for the first time since he was forced to play this game. The goblin reduced it's crying to sniffling and took it's dagger and charged at Spade but it slipped on wet grass and fell face first. This caused Spade to laugh even more at the unfortunate creature but he had to finish this soon if he wanted some sleep so he lifted up his foot and stomped on the goblin's head and held it there in a attempt to drown it, after some struggling the goblin's health bar was decreasing slowly until when it turned red at 10% Spade was hit in his side by a unknown force in his side and he took 8% damage in a single hit. Looking in the direction of the unknown force he saw 2 level 2 weakened goblin scouts trembling while holding daggers in a attempt to save their ally. Spade smiled and said menacingly "I'm going to make you regret that one." readying himself for a 2.5 on 1 fight.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________"Oi, what's that fowl stench!? Smells like a like an ogre just farted!" Saskia cupped her hand over her hand and nostrils, trying to make a makeshift filter for the horrid fumes that came from the marshland. Her sapphire eyes held a sense of gloomy turmoil as the barbie doll in clad armor lifted up her boot and glance down at the green, possibly disease carrying muck that covered her boot. She grimaced at the sight and glance side eyed at the grey old decaying willow trees.
The eerie gleam of nightfall obscured her eyesight as she squinted with a deep frown at her surrounding territory, hers ears twitched as she heard a twig snap in the distance and birds rustling through the forest on the outer edges of the marshlands. She clasps her right hand over her heart and begins to hyperventilate as paranoia begins to flood her mind. "Why do I always have get lost in the sauce! I knew I should have just listened to Lacey when she told me to buy a map, but I had to go and spend all my coin on booze! I'm such a lowly Brewer. I think I'll start my own guild and call it Alcholic's Anonymous!" Saskia proclaimed as she trudged through the mushy sloth in a miserable manner with her head down in a sunken state.
Making her way through the marshlands had begun to take a toll on her thighs as she was barely even use to the weight of her bulky armor. Worse still, she wasn't the fighting type and the sounds of the demonic splintering the angelic as vicious howls cackled through the forest was not doing anything to help sooth her distress. If anything, it was driving her mad! She had just went through so much effort polishing her boots so that she could at least present herself as a lovely lady knight worthy of honour and valor, but now she just looked like a lowly squire that lost a mud wrestling competition.
A squirmy chill snaked down the bottom of her neck as she felt the sticky wetness of the terrain wrap around her ankles. She did a 180 degree turn as she heard some maniacal cackling. It sounded like a mad man in a torture chamber. Brutally punishing his victim. Saskia felt a bit concerned for his mental state as she squinted at a humanoid cat like figure seemingly dunking somethings head in a river that looked like a twelve year old kid in the distance. Oh, great, Saskia was witnessing a possible serial killer! She had heard about PKers that roamed about the zone and began to tremble in fear, her legs knocking as she stood shaking them nervously in an awkward pidgeon-toed stance.
As her vision got clearer, she saw the crying goblin and couldn't help but feel sorry for the poor thing, being abused by that naughty werecat. Saskia naturally wanted to give the black cat a piece of her mind. Animal cruelty was not something that she approved of, but then again what type of animals keeps a shank on them?
Saskia's eyes flickered and before she knew it the rest of the notorious "Gobliano crime family" came back for revenge! Though, she kind of sympathized with them, she resolved to aid the lunatic monk and take up arms alongside the underdog, having already had her newbish great shield and longsword equipped. She wasn't very experienced at fighting, but a slight sense of courage had gently prodded her to the frontlines.
She ran up to the werecats side and stood in a goofy, impractical stance, her wary eyes peeking over the shield and looking over at the werecat.
"So uhm...I don't know what to do." Saskia chuckled nervously, not really knowing her role on the battlefield. "I think I'm just going to handle the little guy over there if you don't mind..."
Saskia nodded her head and attempted to swipe at the timid Goblin in his weakened state, but he snarled at her in an aggressive shout as the soundwaves of his voice made Saskia fall on her back, moreso from her natural fear of the ugly thing than actually being attacked. She yelped as she sat on her bum covered in mucky goo and flailed about trying to get it off.
The two standing goblins began to cackle at Saskia, as they shifted their resentment toward Spade and made an attempt to surround him to ambush the lone black werecat. Saskia fumed with embarrassment as her face grew a rosy red and she pointed the tip of her sword engaging the enemy with a Taunting Shout.
"Oi, there you little midgets! Nobody make's a fool outta Saskia and gets away with it. I'll shove your face in the dirt and make you eat this nasty slime, I will!" Strong words from a woman who was clearly all bark and no bite as she shrieked as one of the Goblin's turned his back away from the werecat and began to snarl angrily at her with a demonic lust to his eyes.
Before she knew it, he was already charging at her like a mad bull. In a sudden fight or flight sense, her legs locked up and she cowered behind her shield, raising it over her body as she laid in a very vulnerable fetal position.
The dagger collided against the shield as she yelped, her status screen displaying that she had lost a meager bit of health, having deflected the attack.
"Gahhh! Help! They're trying to turn me into swiss cheese!"

At first when Spade was made aware of the guardian's presence he happy to receive help but at the same time annoyed that someone thought he was weak enough to need help, Spade thought this but he will never verbally admit to the idea of being happy to receive assistance and he will personally take this to his grave. But his happiness was dashed as soon as she entered the battle officially. To his great annoyance the new heavily armored person fell down just from a shout from one of the goblins, "She is level 1 so I guess I can give her that one." Spade spoke with little confidence to himself. So when the goblins finished laughing her they turned on Spade in a attempt to take down the biggest threat, Spade got ready to move to trip the one he forced to cry and just to break it's spirits again when he suddenly heard a unique accent in the form of a shout coming from the pink haired girl, she must have hit a collective nerve as all 3 of the little creatures turned away from Spade immediately and rushed towards the large metal woman. Spade whistled in an impressed tone in response to the big talk she was spouting and he hoped that she would have the strength to back it up, his hopes were dashed when she blocked an attack in a improper fashion and took a bit of health in response to said block. She freaked out in response to this and yelled for his help. Completely making an ass of herself at this moment, Spade snarled audibly and was in a decision on whether he should leave her to die or not. After a short time Spade decided to help on grounds that she had no obligation to assist him but decided to anyway, the least he could do was return the favor for her didn't mean that he was going to enjoy doing it. "If you're going to jump in the middle of a fight at least be useful!" Spade had yelled for both the goblins and the girl to hear as he charged towards the three about to continue their attack and he used his momentum and his back to spin around the right side of the healthier goblins and trapping it's use of it's dagger and arm, when he was in front of the goblin trio Spade punched the neck of the goblin on the left twice incapacitating it for a half a second and with his position he gave his first goblin victim a leg sweep knocking it face first into the murky water once more and he moved behind the second goblin and used his right hand and propelled it's head into the shield of the woman. In a fit of brutality Spade raised his foot and did a vertical version of a curb stomp on the goblin's head that had the unfortunate fate of having a shield right next to it." I'm not done yet!" Spade yelled menacingly and using the 2nd goblin's leg as a handle and lifted it using the goblin as a makeshift blunt object he lifted it up and brought it down on it's ally who Spade had already throat punched. When the goblin collided with it's dazed ally it's health had already dropped to critical levels. Beatdown Spade yelled out as he activated his skill to further increase his offensive power when he defeated his enemy, he then reared back his right arm and aimed a haymaker straight into the rib cage of the 2nd goblin he forced into critical levels with the help of the woman's shield. When the punch made it's mark the goblin suddenly jumped up like it was not injured in the first place and attempted to run away, Spade still in his need for their defeat charged after the goblin only giving a second thought to the fact he left the woman by herself to two enemies but he dismissed it as he already dropped the 1st goblin to 8% and the other at 60%. He chased after the goblin in an attempt to bring it down before it could find more allies. Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________"If you're going to jump in the middle of a fight at least be useful!"
The words cut into the pink haired Wolf hair like a knife through butter, as it ignited a murderous gaze as her fur began to grow thicker and her ivory ears sprouted out from her head. Her eyes shifted from a hue of porcelain blue to an eerie golden glow, illuminating the orbs of her eyes. Her left eye twitched furiously as she adjusted herself in a still awkward, yet tremendously more imposing stance as she glared at the cat side-eyed. "Oi' maybe I should have just let you go on about your kinky little goblin drowning fetishes, you bloody curr!" But before her verbal assualt could land an injury, the wild were cat had already begun pouncing at the enemy, using stunning swift motions to subdue them. Saskia was taken aback by how reckless this feline was. If it was one thing she couldn't stand now, it was cocky little cats, but she would have to put that aside for now, seeing as they had to work together.
Thwack!
As she rose to her feet, she looked up and jumped back, almost tripping over her feet as the wildcat, relentlessly bashed the nasty, disgusting goblin onto her shield. How dare he just use her personal property like that. Yes, it was efficient, but the man lacked tact and common decency. He was obviously unrefined and a bit primal in nature. Maybe all that time living as a cat had done something to his brain and there were a few short circuits somewhere. She tried swinging at the goblin that he bashed against her shield like a barbaric buffoon, however it sprang up, leaping like a child of the forest and methodically evaded her attack. Just when she thought things couldn't get any worse the blasted werecat had officially abandoned her in the middle of the fray, to go chase down his game in the delightful little skirmish. Duly noted. Saskia would remember that detail and be sure he never hears the end of it
"Damn, bloody werecats, I swear, I hope he chokes on a furball..." Saskia muttered under her breath as she saw two approaching goblins attempting to flank her. She backstepped, raising the flat edge of her sword over her shield and mentally focused her energy in front of her and a white silhouette emerged. She knew she needed something to help her take on the enemy when outnumbered and heard the rumors that her class was supposed to be the beefiest of the bunch. Her eyes drifted down to the skill labeled "Cool Defense", not knowing what it did, but appreciating the security the name of it gave, she selected it and a pulsing sky blue aura surrounded her body with an electric glow as she watch her mana bar begin to deplete over time.
"Oh, shit, here they come! Wait, wait, let me figure out how to get out of the interface menu!" Saskia panicked as she began backing out of the menu, but it was too late she already received two vicious slashes from the pincer strike of the two goblins. Her guard had faltered, but fortunately her passive stat buffs from the skill she had just activated absorbed the brunt of the damage. She still winced in pain however, as she swiped her shield-arm across the interface menu, effectively dissolving it as it bursts into shards, with a very pissed off Saskia on the other end.
Her eyes began to scan over her targets, eyeballing the weakened pathetic one first, should be easy pray, right? 6% Health? Should be a freaking cakewalk! She gave herself a brief nod of confidence, but the Goblin was more bold and had already begun rushing at her like a mad bull. His feet sloshing through the marshes, Saskia gritted her teeth as she pulled back, sweeping forward in an horizontal arc with her longsword, the blade hacked through the goblin, as she trembled at a heinous claw and half broken yellow teeth bared themselves at her before the whole goblins body shattered leaving behind remnants of gold that instantly deposited itself into Saskia's gold pouch.
A sharp twinkle of her eye came about as she patted the gold pouch with a mischievious smirk, and took great pride in her first milestone. She turned back to the werecat to claim bragging rights.
"Oi, now what do you think of that, ye lil' furball! First kill goes to the Legendary Lord Saski-Aghhh!"
The goblin tackled her as they begun to wrestle, Saskia's sword flying nearby and getting lost in the thick of the marshes. She tried to keep the goblin at bay with her shield, but the goblin in all his blind rage, was trying to drive a knife into the woman's face! Saskia's eyes trembled at the sensation as she never knew that battles in the game could feel so real. It made her heart sink as her heartrate increased and strands of pink her and silver armor were coated in emerald green goop.

Still sprinting after the goblin so his skill's effect doesn't disappear on him Spade was bounding after the goblin, he was honestly surprised that those small green legs could carry it so quickly but at the same time he was annoyed that he was moving away from his ally. While he was in his train of thought the goblin slipped into the deeper parts of the water and it grabbed onto a patch of grass in a bid to stay alive, Spade was already at the goblin's position by the time the clump of grass's roots were showing. In most cases Spade would have rubbed his victory in but he was in a hurry so Spade reared back with his foot and kicked the struggling goblin in it's shoulder in a attempt to both cause damage and make it release it's grip but the only thing that came out of the kick was 6% of it's health and more noise from the goblin. Now his effect was about to end Spade was getting angry so he lifted up his left leg and stomped on the fingers holding on to the clump of grass, holding it there so the goblin is being supported solely by Spade's foot and then he kicked the goblin in the face with his right leg four times since he could not put any weight behind his attacks. After the fourth kick the goblin went limp and dispersed into bits of data and Spade had a gut feeling he got some money from that kill, just when he finished off the goblin he felt his skill kick in and give him a boost in strength.
With his new found strength Spade turned around and began to sprint back towards the main parts of the battle at a higher speed then when he left, "I hope she hasn't gotten into any more trouble." Spade said to himself as he was able to find the small battleground he saw that there was only one goblin and of course it was the one with more health so he assumed she finished off the on he first attacked. What Spade did not enjoy seeing was that the goblin had the woman pinned down and was attempting to give a coup de grace since he held the advantage of operating in battle over the woman, Spade took note that she had no sword and she was barely able to hold him off from finishing her so using the last seconds of his skill's buff Spade used the cover of darkness and the fact the two were making a large amount of noise to sprint to their position to assist her. While Spade was charging to the woman his emerald eyes reflected the light from the moon making them appear to shine in the night, he reached the two fighters from their left side and with his left hand he grabbed the dagger inching closer to the pink woman's face causing slight damage to himself and with his right hand he reached to grab the back of the goblin's neck and he jumped and spun lifting the goblin in the air with Spade and slammed the goblin down when Spade landed causing some damage to himself because he was still holding on to the blade of the knife. This goblin was still relatively strong as it's health was not reduced below half so it was able to yank back it's dagger from Spades grip causing him to wince from the excess pain he took from saving the girl, he put a mental note to himself to give her a lesson in fighting but Spade himself was not a very good teacher so he'll have to wing that. Spade's last seconds of his buff was dying down so Spade had to finish it off before it ran out or he may be put at a disadvantage, Spade released the goblins necked and jumped about five feet back from the creature getting in a starters stance for track the moment he landed and taking off when the goblin jumped back on it's feet. Spade aimed for the goblin's neck as it was no where near fast enough to see Spade's rush in the middle of the night, with a unnatural reflexes Spade thrusted his fist forward the creature's neck and with a wet snap, the goblin's throat collapsed. Critical damage was registered to the creature and to add to it's certain death it was suffocating as it gasped for air but it would never come. It's health already declining at a fast pace it's fate was sealed as Spade's skill registered it as a kill so it gave him more strength, ignoring it's reset Spade walked over to the girl and stood there with his hand extended to either assist her or introduce himself Goblin C hp: dead anyway Word Count: [809] Tags: Saskia

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________"Oi, get off of me, you sick offense! You ugly, disgusting little hobbit! Get your grubby paws off me you little harlot!" Saskia gritted her teeth and as she squirmed, bucking like a wild bronco and as she slime-wrestled with the nasty miscreant of the marshlands. She dug her greaves into the goblins stomach and tried to wrestle him down to the grown to gain a more advantageous positioning, but she was overpowered by the beast as they tumbled into shallow water, still it was deep enough for whoever laid at the bottom to have their head dunked in the green ooze.
The Goblin dug his claws into her ribcage before, howling at her as the putrid stench from his breath burnt the light hairs of her nose. "Oi, your breath smells like the back of a donkey's ass you curr!" The only thing that stood between her and the goblin's knife was the metal gauntlet that wedged itself firmly between the crevice of the creature's wrist. Her wet pink strands of hair began to stick to her cheeks as a thunderstorm crackled, illuminating the facial features of the ferocious neanderthal.
The goblin shoved his arm forward, attempting to use his body weight to establish dominance over the female, his glaw digging deeper still. Her strength waning, she began shout bubbles as her head was dunked below the surface of the waters. She gargled the green goo, as she slowly opened her eyes from below the depths of the liquid to see a black figure sprint to her aid and disarm the assailant.
Unbound by the beast's weight, she rose of from the marshlands, coughing and gasping for breath. Her lungs renewed with fresh air, she pulled the sticky strands of wet hair that distorted her field of view to witness a horrific act of Spades snapping the goblin's neck. A gruesome sight to behold, but a much appreciated one nonetheless.
The maleficent savior offered her a hand, to assist her in rising. Humbling herself for a moment, and swallowing her pride, she gazed at the furry humanoid paw for a moment, before reaching out and grabbing it, pulling herself up to her feet.
"Saskia Steelheart...much appreciate your services, Mr. Cat. " Saskia nodded in a cordial manner. Whereas she wasn't exactly too fond of him, she wasn't very fond of bein goblin food either. A misfortune that this black werecat allowed her to save face from. "Now, where is my weapon..." Saskia said as she got down on her knees for a moment and began to pat down, feeling the earth below for her sword. Her fingers began to bump against the hilt, as she curved slender fingers around the grip, and brought from up out of the waters. She shook off the slime before cocking her head at Spade. "So, what's your name, my furry, feline friend?"

After the nightly battles were concluded and Spade had acted as a dark knight he assisted the woman to her feet ignoring the sound and feel of his furry paw squeezing a metal gauntlet, he stepped back just in case she would attempt to deck him for his previous words to her assistance. With no imminent attack in sight Spade somewhat relaxed himself and waited for her to introduce himself since he was not the smoothest talker. The woman introduced herself as Saskia Steelheart and said thank you while taking a bow, this came across as someone of knightly heritage and he kind of felt bad that she was very muddy but once more he put the thought out of his head as she voluntarily ventured to this location. Spade was about to cross his arms but he felt that it even if it was going to be funny to hear her angry rant it was outside of his interest to make someone angry after shedding his life force to keep this person alive so keeping his arms at his sides he grunted and ignored the Mr. Cat comment as he took it as a bit of an insult. After she introduced herself she began to look for her weapon by getting on her knees and searching the muddy wet ground for her sword that she somehow lost, after a short time she found her sword and began to shake off the mud and slime from the blade. In the process of doing this she asked for the werecat's name, "My name is Spade." he said slowly out of habit. He took a slight bow to return the favor of her previous actions.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________"My name is Spade." The lone werecat monk replied in a slow tone. Not as vibrant or boisterous as he was in combat. Her eyes skeptically crawled over his facial features as she began to cautiously study him. She ran her thumb over her index finger as she gazed in contemplation. This guy's pretty brutal, going into a knife fight like that with just his mere fists. Such a rare animalistic nature it's just primal and sadistic. He surely seems to love indulging in a bit of gory fun, that's for sure." Saskia licked her lips as she furried her brow, her eyes squinting at her surroundings as she felt insecure in her currently location, she glanced back at Spade in a reflective nature. Still, he was pretty helpful back there. I nearly drowned because of that stupid goblin... I nearly lost half my health back there...and I'm supposed to be the beefiest of the bunch. If I was another class...chances are I'd likely be dead.
Saskia heaved a light sigh and glanced back at the werecat with a stern glare.
"Spade, eh? You know I use to play a game called Spades where I'm from. And Spades where always the most powerful cards in the deck. So I guess that means you'll have to be living up to that title."
She punched out a palm into the air swiftly, curling out her fingers, exposing the palm of her hand. A flash of light beamed from it as she summoned the interface menu that displayed all her stats.
66%...67%...68%
Her health parameters were slowly healing. At a faster rate anyhow, being that she was now confirmed to be out of combat. Her eyes glanced over to her blue mana parameters.
82%....83%....84%
She began to realize that her toggle skill consumed quite a bit of mana and it wouldn't last very long in a prolonged fight.
Fortunately for me, I didn't have to fight all three of them alone. The cat here is the real one who was doing all the damage. Nimble little feline...I'm glad he was able to get around the battlefield so quickly. I'd hate to see what would happen if it were just me against the three of them. At least, in my current state...maybe I just need better gear.
She sheathed her longsword for the time being, resting a delicate hand upon the hilt, using her shield-arm now, to wipe the muck away that had got on her coat of armor. She felt her bruises begin to quickly heal over time, though the mental horrors of the encounter still freshly screamed through her mind. She inhaled deeply trying to suppress those thoughts to the back of her mind.
She walked over to a nearby tree that fell and was snapped at the base. She knelt down, then, sat at the base of the stomp to rest for a moment while she recovered from the battle. She pulled out a muddy canteen, and began to gaze at the top that was now covered in green goop.
Gah...now that's just disgusting. Why didn't I just keep this damn thing in my satchel. Now it's ruined! Ah, to hell with it, I'm thirsty now!
She began to wipe off the sticky gel from her canteen, nd shake the canister a few times, before unscrewing the top and taking a drink. Her face was that of a warrior's now, though not a very prestigious one. She had got one of her first tastes of combat. A numbing sensation overwhelmed her.
I...I can't believe I had to actually use this thing.
Saskia unsheathed her longsword, staring at it for a moment, running her fingers along the sharp edges, slightly cutting into the threading of her gloves.
"What a bloody terrible mess that was..." Saskia replied as she rested the back of her head on the slump, obviously exhausted.
It continued to thunder throughout the marshlands as light sprinkles of rain dripped down. It was only a light shower, so it didn't seem to bother Saskia that much as she held her hand out and collected a few droplets into her palm staring at the sky above. A rough breath escaped her nostrils as she curled her spine to lean backwards, resting her elbow on her knee, her gaze returning back to the cat.
"So, what brought you all the way to the messy place, and why you going on about pissing off the goblins here? You get thrown out of a bar for picking a fight and decide to take it out on the creatures out here in the woods?" Saskia chuckled.
Saskia wasn't much of a gamer, so she didn't find much enjoyment in slaying creatures. It all seemed horrible to her. She frowned a bit, shaking her head.
"Or perhaps, you're just like me, trying to keep your head above water and trying to survive and live comfortably..."
Saskia smiled warmly, looking awfully tired and worn out, but spoke tenderly in her next few words to the feline.
"Well...whatever the hell it is we're out here trying to accomplish. It's safer not to do it alone. Would be a shame to have a one way trip to the cathedral...I've already been there once."
Saskia scoffed, seemingly dissapointed in her abilities as a fighter. Her eyes held a soft glow, a shimmer of resilience in them, as she gave herself a nod of affirmation.
I'll get better...I know I will. One day..I'll show this world how great I can be...

Spade was still standing after he said his name, Saskia was staring at both her surroundings and Spade with a curious look on her face. Spade figured that he must somehow make her feel suspicious since for some reason she licked her lips and furrowed her brow, just in case she suddenly decided to turn hostile he began to slowly tense his muscles in case he needed to defend against an attack, unfortunately Spade cannot prepare for battle with a blank face as his natural scowl became more prominent. Spade continued to listen to her voice as she began to talk about a game with the exact same name as Spade and how she expected him to match her expectations, with these words Spade's thought process made him think that Saskia was telling him that she would only work with him as long as he was useful to her. "Alright it seems that she wants to just use me." Spade said quietly to himself.
He observed that she was looking at her status menu, after taking at look at lord knows what Saskia walked over to a nearby stump and sat on the ground and leaned her back on the stump. She removed what appeared to be a small container from her person, it somehow got dirty with the contents of the environment. Even Spade would have trouble drinking from something like that, she seemed to not really care about it as she wiped the container's opening and took a swig of it, this impressed Spade as to him it seemed that if she could fight this girl would be a threat not to be trifled with. Saskia had began to question Spade for why he was in his current situation and why he was doing it, after this question he was asked if he would be willing to create a party for better survival chance. Spade took in what she asked and his surroundings, he saw that it was still dark and he was relatively at full health so being in a party with someone that can draw their attention would be a good thing. He put his one good hand on his chin and pondered about how to answer the series of questions without offending her, after a bit of time passed he finally had his answer. "I needed to make myself tired before I slept, and i'll join you."

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________Saskia began to notice a snarling glare in his demeanor. Maybe it was just another bit of his primal nature, the cat seemed about as defensive about the meeting as she was, which worried her slightly.
Can I really trust this guy...?
Is he even telling me the truth?
How do I know he's not some PKer that might try to kill me for my things...?
Thoughts of insecurities and potential drawbacks began to plague Saskia's mind as continued to silently drink from her canteen, wiping her mouth as the bottle ran dry, She felt a weary strain on her eyes. She was beat down. Ragged. Tired. Normally she would have been asleep by now, but she feared camping in such a place would prove to be fatal.
She felt the frigid wind wisp her hair to the side, blowing it across her cheeks. Sapphire gems peered to the side, as she ran her fingers along the grass and began to play with it, cradling the texture beneath her fingers. Her mind begins to slowly drift away.
So...this is what I've become now. An eternal player. A monster slayer. Surely, there has to be more meaning to life than this...God, if you're listening....I want to go home. I'm sorry for neglecting my family. For neglecting Lacey, if this is punishment for my sins...please, give me a way to atone...
It seemed her words fell on silent ears as she glanced up at the sky, a lightning bolt crashing down in the distance. Saskia heaved a heavy sigh and pulled herself up from her feet.
"I needed to make myself tired before I slept, and I'll join you."
Something does sound right about all this. Damn this cat is pretty shady...and not to mention violent, am I sure I even really want to be around this guy...He seems pretty volatile...like a ticking time bomb just waiting to explode.
"So, you needed to go out and wrestle with wild goblins carrying knifes the size of prison shakes so you can sleep well at night? My, my, you must be bonkers. Someone's definitely got a few screws loose..." Saskia chuckled at the daredevil that braved the forests alone. "Very well then, let's see what joys this cursed forest has to offer."
Dusting her self off for a moment, she pulsed out her hands once more, bringing up a interactive menu with the feline.
Would you like to send this player a party invite?
She smiled warmly at the message as a gentle finger tapped "Yes."
Thus, officially began the bond that was forged between the Wolf hair and the kitten. She grinned gracefully at the cat, and waved her hand over the interface menu, navigating to a map menu. In stunning array a 3D visualization of a much smaller scale of the surrounding territories was exposed. The images were clear though the outer edges of the areas shown were highlighted in strands of white. Virtual data.
Saskia rubbed her chin gently as she looked at it with a puzzled expression.
"Okay, I think we're here..." She said pointing to the marshlands that appeared between the the forest trails in the southern portion of the map, towards the center. "To the east, leads us deeper into the forest, To the north there's a cave, and to the west lies a riverbed....which way do you suppose we go? We could take my horse to cut down the travel time."
Saskia begin to once again, run her fingers over a seperate section of her interface, keeping the map open for Spade to gaze at before opening her inventory and causing a silver whistle to materialize into the palm of her hands.
With a sharp puff, she blew into the whistle as it made a very distinct tune, and her horse materialized from the thick of the forest and begun galloping to her side. She pet the white beast, and tenderly combed her fingers through his vanilla coated mane.
She hooked a foot into the slot that allowed her to step up and straddle the colt, and she lifted herself up using her arms, and swung her other leg over the side, resting comfortably on the brown saddle with various designs stitched into it. She tugged on the reigns as the horse let out a loud neigh at Spade.
"It's alright...kitty's friendly...he won't hurt you." Saskia said, glancing up to Spade, hoping he gave some signs of reasurance. "His name's Spade...he's a monk that protected me while I was out here all alone. Perhaps we can help him find rest at an inn later."
Saskia gave Spade a brief nod as she extended her hand from above to help him up if he chose to ride with her, lest, he be left behind in the dust.

Spade continued to stand in the same position he was in when he helped Saskia to her feet, he was patiently waiting for her to either assume a hostile action towards him or say fake words or friendship. With Spades experience he was able to act like he was following along just as well as she was. She must have been digesting what he said because she continued to drink from the container as she seemed to not really be paying full attention, Spade believing that he may need to take a closer look at this heavily armored woman squinted his eyes and took note of her demeanor for any negative emotions. He could see that she looked worn out and tired, it must have been the events of the night that's taken it's toll on her physical and mental person, but if it was that she would have been back to a somewhat normal state by now. "It must be that she wasn't mentally prepared to be thrown in to this game either" thought the werecat. Thinking of this Spade unintentionally relaxed himself when he began to remember the first few months of him when this game first started, he did nothing but sit in the middle of town brooding over the fact that he was stuck in a game and worrying endlessly over what his boss would do to his siblings. He would still be in that spot to this day if he didn't resolve himself to getting out of this game.
When he almost began to sink in to depression once more a *ding* sound occurred to him and a green message came up reading "Saskia invites you to her party! Accept?" Spade was hesitant in pressing the yes button since he was unsure about what this woman planned and he wanted to be sure he was making the right move, after a short time Spade decided to play along until he he a hint of malice towards him. When he found this he would drag her health bar down to critical levels and leave her out in the middle of the field to die so he won't receive PK status, pressing accept the window disappeared and he saw a strange smile on his face, Spade shivered but he did not know if it was from him being wet and in the wind or from the smile she had on her face. Once more Spade was lost in his thought and he was jarred out of them by yet another *ding* and green window in his view, this time it seemed like a map and another window that Spades could not see but it appeared to be her inventory as she took out a whistle and blew on it producing a odd tone. As soon as she was finished a white horse with blond hair appeared from the nearby foliage, this surely surprised Spades as he had never seen a horse before in his life. Spade had read somewhere that animals can sense the emotions of others and he was wondering if the horse can sense how tense Spade was at this moment, it slightly calmed down when Saskia attempted to introduce him but her introduction slightly irritated Spade when she used the word "kitty". Extending her hand to help him up Spade thanked himself for choosing to be a black cat as he was absolutely embarrassed he was being treated like a princess, swallowing his pride he took her hand and using it as a support he pulled himself up into the horse. Spade was a nervous wreck when he came into contact with the horse so it stands to reason that his face seemed scared for once, his green eyes now looked like small black dots and his scowl didn't look like he was angry but actually scared with his ears lying flat on his scalp, finally adding the icing to the cake he was trembling greatly. Spade hoped that Saskia would not notice with her heavy armor on but he doubted that he would be so lucky; Spade's current mental state did not let him think rationally so to hold on while the horse was moving he grabbed Saskia by placing his left arm next to the left side of her neck and his right arm around the underside of her rib cage and interlocked his hands. "T-t-to t-t-t-the inn" Spade stuttered, "Y-y-y-you n-n-n-need rest." Spade was able to get out of his mouth before squeezing harder due to the horse shifting slightly, he had to force himself to finally say or rather yell "S-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-sorry!" before he collapsed inside himself to save the little dignity he had left.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________A bright smile that beamed with soft and gentle light and cherry lips bent upward at the corners and long ebony eyelashes blinked in satisfaction as the wary Tomcat began to first hesitate moments before finding the resolve from within his own train of thought to drive him to take a sudden dive out of his comfort zone and click the blue icon labeled "Yes" in regards to the party invite that she herself was rather reluctant to have sent.
The horse neighed wildly and shook his head, his tail swishing about in a rather illustrious manner as his brilliant mane shook like the waves of the eastern sea. It stomped it's hoove in a rather impatient manner as it felt quite uncomfortable around it's current surroundings. Saskia managed to wrestle him the reigns and calm the beast down, by petting him softly, her eyes still showing a concerned glare towards the black cat.
Well, isn't that a surprise, he actually accepted. So, he's not crazy enough to PK me, yet he still seems to be wary around me. He decided to join my party anyway, though he did display signs of a sharp reluctance to do so..I wonder what his angle is, maybe he's got something up his sleeves. Hopefully, it's a bag of gold, because I really don't have any money...
A curious brow, stitched with intrigue, plastered itself upon Saskia's forehead. She was beginning to grow ever more cautious of the kitten as he warmed up to her. Her flourescent pink strands of hair began to dance in the moonlight, swept away by the breeze of a subtle and enchanting wind. The reflection of the feline's murky paw could be seen in the polished shield of the pinkette noble knight as she assisted him in lifting himself up. Much to her surpise, the courageous and fearless feline, seemed to have had it's tail firmly tucked between it's legs as it timidly shook an shivered.
Don't tell me he's shy around horses, how absurd....or perhaps he just had a rather bad experience with one, possibly a hoof to the face? Well, that's funny that he's behaving this way, I'm sure that my horse is as scared of him and he is of it. Still, it's nice to know even he has his fears. I guess he hasn't abandoned his sense of humanity after all..
Saskia, tensed her body as she felt the feline begin to grip her shoulder and hold her tightly, his chest pressed against her back, she tilted her head back to make sure he was okay, and noticed the most adorable thing. He little ears were flopped down and it was at that exact moment that she almost considered adopting him as if she was one of those old hags with the kitty shelter, but decided against it when she remembered that somewhere under the surface, he was just as much as human as she was.
Still, a soft angelic smile couldn't help but paint itself upon the canvas of Saskia's face as she gripped the reigns tightly and let out a vicious grunt, as the reigns cracked throughout the woods and the obedient horse began to gallop into the wilderness heading east towards the river bend.
