Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________ The journey back to Londiminium proved an easy one. The sun remained high and warm, no clouds or snowfall to mar the sky. Saskia’s steed walked with an easy gait, free from the rush of necessity for the first time in a fair while.
Saskia had remained at the inn a further two nights. The first, she had slept almost continually, waking in late evening and making little use of her conscious hours. It was the first break she had allowed himself for some time.
On the second day, she had tracked back to Morrandir’s lair refreshed and level-headed, performing a second sweep of the deep cave to check that all within it were felled. It had proved a wise move, as several side passages led to dank living quarters where a few stray fledglings still remained. She had dispatched them and her partner had burned the bodies that did not turn to ash on their own, collecting alchemical goods from the remains to bring back to Londiminium. As much business as she had there, she did not want to arrive empty handed.
At the bridge, Icarus, her steed, led her across and allowed her in. The air in the courtyard was crisp and chill, and she was glad that the cold felt so harsh on his skin. Even the heavy wooden door reminded him that all his strength was his own, and that no unnatural ability lingered within him.
The entrance hall seemed somehow brighter. A creamy light filtered in through the arches and lit the stone. Saskia looked around, welcoming the sun. From the huge dark entrance near the a shop labeled "The Pastel Atlier" in the housing district, to the left came the noblemen and their advisors, plus a few other associates who went their own way. Her nose was buried in papers once again, but once she caught sight of the Landers she gave a cordial inclination of the head.
“Monsieur Alexander, a pleasure to see you again,” she spoke as she half closed the light tome she carried with her, keeping a finger between the pages to mark her place. “I trust your affairs have taken a more favourable turn since last we met?”
“I am glad to say they have, milady.” Alexander could not help his smile from spreading to its broadest.
“Might I ask she nature of this visit?” Saskia asked with a brow raised into an administrative arch.
“I am here to thank you, and to offer you recompense for your generosity of allowing Professor Bailin at the Vylbrand Academy for his exquisite fencing lessons. I must say my guards will be in tip top shape for our convoy into the Greatwoods! ”
“That is much appreciated, Alexander. I have my duties to attend to, though you are welcome to speak to me in the evening hours. Until then, please feel free to make use of our grounds.” She gave a curt nod and departed.
Alexander watched her leave, that powerful, steadfast woman in a sea of people clamouring for her attention and guidance, even scholars and mages many times her age. the Lander could understand it now. She moved through life with a grace of the mind the likes he could only wonder at. Even in the depths of his own despair he had barely seen her composure falter. It was as though she walked in another world.
With confident stride, her horse trotted up the walkway that led to a refurbished building that looked like it was a victim to arson and lost a fight with a torch. Her eyes graced upon the wild bazaar, coated in an assortment of pastel-esque colors that make it a rather superb way of marketing the bazaar located outside of the woman's home.
Shortly before she could get to the bazaar her eyes drifted down towards the gap, which in turn made her tug roughly on the reigns to bid Icarus to a firm halt. From where she sat, perched high on her horse, she could observe the various trinkets and amenities as well as a chalkboard that listed the various wares. Most of which, radiant with vibrant auras of sapphires, rubies, and diamond white as if altered by the forces of a refined alchemist.
Saskia raised a pink brow of intrigue as her azure crystal eyes became captivated by an advertisement of a poster for a "Mana Liner Shield" . She had never heard of such a thing before and it began to spike her curiosity. Sweeping a leg back, and gently holding on to her saddle she dismounted the animal and glanced at the gap, judging the distance it would take to cross.
She reckoned she could close the gap just fine on her own and jumped across the old terrace. Fortunately for her, it still stood as she gave a sigh of relief, and raised her head in a graceful smile to the owner of the establishment.
"Good afternoon! Quite the lovely shop you have here! The colors were a marvelous idea to attract customers. It's what got me! My name is Saskia, it's a pleasure to meet you." Saskia bowed her head lightly in a respectful manner.
"My reason for stopping by is because I was absolutely fascinated by the name of this 'Mana Liner Shield'...as a Guardian player, I'm sure it could be of service to me. Do you mind going into a bit more detail about the concept and what benefit it offers?"

Tessia had woke earlier and began her rounds about the shop after a good breakfast and a hot shower. It was really something else to finally have a place one could just romp around in nothing but their skimpies. After getting on her clothes, she moved into the main room of her home and began adjusting the objects on her shelves. The game liked to adjust here and there where she had certain objects, but Tessia had always preferred a personal touch to using a assisted system. Made the place seem a lot more like her own. Hearing a bit of clamoring outside, she moved to go adjust the sign outside, noticing a Cavalier type with beautiful pink hair talking with what she assumed was a escort.
Most didn't pick that type from all of she met anyway. Moving back into her shop, she began dusting about the armors, items and even the display Mana Liner Shield, as it hummed away in its case attached to a set of armor for demonstration. Then she heard the noise of a someone coming up the terrace towards her shop. This was part of her scheme to set up a shop in this place, as the sound didn't really stand out but she could notice it and prepare for sales. Moving back to the front of the shop, she was surprised that it was that woman with the horse. Now, Tessia really did have a liking for girls with pink hair. It was one of the predominant colors of the shop she was in. And to be riding in on a horse well, she had to remind herself that this was not a fairytale dream, even if she wanted it too be.
Listening as the woman spoke, Tessia moved to the case that her Shield sat humming in. Nodding she answered in her best sales response. "Well, the Mana Liner Shield uses a charge of stored mana to elevate how defensive your armor is. Usually, its capable of keeping up the charge for a little while before faltering. Though, once it has depleted that charge, it shuts off for awhile and restarts once you've ceased taking damage. Usually after a hour or so. One of the first things I managed to make too, and a popular choice for those that are here the first time." She motions lightly to a banner on the wall that states in large pastel blue letters "ONE FREE ALCHEMY ITEM OR ADJUSTMENT UPON FIRST VISIT TOO THE SHOP!"
She was sure at this point she was blushing a bit, having someone as well cool as this visit her was amazing. Not to mention being commented that her shop had quite the allure. She kept the girlish squeeing in herself at bay that threatened to make her look very unprofessional. Later she thought later.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________ Saskia eyed the girl that stood before her as she walked rather quickly over to the shield that she had setup on display. She could tell that the girl was a lot shorter than her and as she got closer, Saskia studied her style of dress for a moment, she seemed to dress rather light, which expressed that she probably played one of the less sturdy builds and either preferred dexterity and agility or she preferred the magical arts. With the vibrating hum of most of the Alchemist’s amenities, Saskia had assumed the latter. That was, until the girl had gotten a bit closer. She was the first of an unfimiliar race to Saskia, though she struck Saskia as human at first glance. Saskia searched the depths of supressed memories from her mind as her eyes ran over the girl’s face, studying her facial features.
Her eyes drifted up to the womans virtual data that revealed a few key details. One being that she was level fifteen, which meant that she had a fair bit of experience to be able to hold her own in battle. The second thing that was made known to her was her class. She was an assassin, which was a very high damage per second dealing class of sheer brutality, which was not to be trifled with. The third thing that caught Saskia’s attention was her name. Tessia. Saskia raised a brow and noticed that it had the same number of consonants and vowels in the same exact placement as hers. A random fact, that only Saskia’s level of attention to detail would catch.
She smiled warmly as she looked over the woman’s satin blonde her. It was pretty and spun like golden strands of slik. Saskia’s sapphire eyes crashed against Tessia’s swirling pools of sky blue hued eyes like waves against the shore. She was a bit taller than the girl, possibly by about three or four inches, but that was partially due to the fact that she wore thick shimmering steel greaves. Saskia has a few strands of her pink cotton candy coated hair slide in front her face as she walked closer with a graceful smile blooming upon her face. She slid her finger across her forehead as she slid the loose strands of hair back and slid them back behind her right ear, blinking at the woman while doing so.
As the woman spoke, Saskia would grab a fask of water from her side and twist the cap with slender fingers, raising the canteen and nursing it towards her lips, drinking the water from it’s container while she listen to the sweet serenade of the saleswoman’s pitch. She nodded her head a few times as she gulp down the water and screwed the top back on. The woman had informed her that this magnificent device was able to manifest mana into a form of shield and make whatever armor a person was wearing to be significantly more effective, apparently the length of it’s use was limited, but it was a rechargeable item that could be used again in the future after a cooldown. She actually managed to make Saskia raise a pink petal of an intrigued brow, that rose in a curious brow as she tilted her head to the left with an impressed expression upon her face .
She began to stroke her chin for a moment, deep in thought as the sound of her heavy footsteps could be heard on the cobblestone as she advanced forward, walking around the suit of armor that her unique creation was stuck to like an adhesive as it hummed a vibrant tune. She was simply fascinated, but was sure that such an item was outside of her price range. Her eyes floated up to meet Tessia’s as she gestured Saskia’s eyes to take notice of a sign that basically read that she was almost giving the whole damn store away to any newbies that came strolling through. How generous, and awfully clever to get her name out there.
Saskia looked down as she tucked her canteen into her satchel and grinned at Tessia with pearly white teeth, giving her several nods of approval. Her heartbeat increased for a moment as she noticed the girl blushing at her, but she maintained her bearing.
“I definitely have to hand it to you there, Tess’. I’m pretty damn impressed. This is absolutely freaking remarkable, you know that? And not only is it remarkable, it’s a freaking innovation that is going to pioneer the next industry for defensive mechanisms and shatter uncharted landscapes for new possibilities. A new dawn in the advancement of Alchemist technology. This right here....” Saskia said as she planted firm hands upon the surface of the table, further inspecting the mana liner shield and running her hands over it to feel the temperature of it. It radiated a soothing warmth with it’s magnicent glow. She looked up at Tessia as she spoke with flair and charismatic charm. “This shit right here...is what I live for. This is pure mercantilism genius! What is desirable to users? What is viable in the marketplace? What is possible with technology? All those questions are about innovation. Innovation is the change that unocks new value. Innovation is what distinguishes a follower from a leader.”
Saskia glances at Saskia with a passionate gaze as she shares her heartfelt words on the subject. “So, you said you created this right? Well, I can assure you I definitely want it, but more importantly than it, I want you. I’ve been searching for talented minds. I have literally been having the deepest desire to have n academy dedicated to honing our skills in this world and I have a specific division that that was impeccably design for the ruthless spirit of determined researcher and innovative designer. And I don’t know, maybe that’s you, maybe that’s not you. Only you can decide that. All I know is what I feel, and right now I feel that you can go so much farther than just this shop. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s great, but think how we can burst pass the idea of just this shop and this item. What if we were to get a team of brilliant minds together and truly research something grand, or refine what we have here and improve on it even further? What if it we were able to build a mana liner shield that could protect villages and buildings from raids of goblin hordes and protect people and their families?”
Saskia chuckled as she smiled at the notion. “You see that right there, was a brilliant idea thought of by me, but inspired by you. Your invention just now, may have lit the fuse for something far more magnificent than you could have ever imagined. I know you’re a bright mind, Tessia, you even had the smart idea to give away a few free items so you can have satisfied customers and generate repeat business. That’s brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!”
Saskia chuckled as she winked at Tessia with a mischievious smirk.
“So, me and my crew are going to be trying to pioneer many new industries and reach out to various target markets. If you think it’s something you might be interested in, I’ll leave a flyer for you to do some thinking about it. There usually is tuition involved for cadets, but I’m quite certain I can mention for invention to our financial aid department and as headmistress over the Vylbrand Academy, I can waive any tuition fees for you. I typically don’t like having to charge the fee anyways, but it helps with various items and research material and to pay our faculty. ”
Saskia released a heavy pant, as she stopped a moment to catch her breath.
“Whew...sorry, that was sort of embarassing...I guess I got a little excited. I’m always fascinated by new things and even moreso, mentally stimulating people. What inspired your idea for such a creation?” Saskia inquired as she looked at Tessia in awe.

As she listened Tessia went from her simple smile and blushing too a little downcast as she heard what Saskia was talking about. She knew a pitch as she unintentionally used her own not moments ago. A Guild. And one that would happily accept her into it for her simple device. Moving towards the door she sighed and looked at the newly built walls of her shop. Surely she could handle both. Time at the Guild maybe, hunting and even some shop business. Was this woman being truthful? She saw no reason to not believe in her words. But Tessia had always ran a shop in games such as this.
Maybe it was time for her to change it up a bit. She had to admit the thought of teaching people how to do alchemy and even do it well was intriguing. The prospect of advancing faster in alchemy as well as getting involved in something larger was really appealing. Still, her old ways nagged at her mind to tell Saskia no. Her hand instinctively gripping at her ax's handle upon her back. "I will have to get along with others if I wish to truly make a difference." she thought to herself.
Hearing Saskia catch her breath and then the follow up question about what made her want to make the Mana Shield, she turned and shook her doubts free and said, "Well, that is simple. I had originally made it as a backup for lower leveled players and back row fighters. Just as a bit of insurance against a stray creature, or if they are by there lonesome and need protection. It didn't quite become exactly what I needed but it works for now. Any bit of extra protection can mean another life saved, at least for a little while." She gazes at the Shield as it hums away on the display, the encircling writings of the binding contract etched into the armor, and the metal diodes plated atop the armors pads.
It was her first honest attempt at something great, and now with this simple chance she could do so much more. "Keep the flyer. You have yourself a alchemist. But first, we need to make you something as part of coming too my shop. So, what will it be?" Ironically she still intended to make something for Saskia for free despite her generous offer for her rather benign skills on Alchemy. And she had wanted to get past her rather off moment where she stood at the shop entrance and seemed to be lost in thought. Tessia did better when she was working with her hands, she could question morals and her problems later. Work beckoned as she moved over to a table covered in different Magitech parts as she waited patiently to hear what Saskia would like made.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________Saskia began to get lost in a creative dreamland as she spoke in wondrous ways, noticing her schmoozing was delivering quite the flattering effect upon the pretty merchant. She watched as the girl bashfully drifted her eyes down towards her toes, possibly embarrassed from all the attention she was getting at the moment. She watched as the woman walked over to her shop, staring at it in reminiscent thought, possibly thinking about her next move that she was going to make. It definitely was a lot to think of, sacrificing hours away from your shop to make a rather large investment within yourself and pursue education and seeking knowledge so that you can manifest your abilities into creative something far more unique than you could have ever imagined. Also the possibility of officially copyrighting your product and teaching others to make it as well.
Saskia tilted her head in bewilderment, as the girl had put a firm grip on the hilt of her rather large and seemingly cumbersome axe. Saskia flinched a bit and reactively rested her smooth ivory palms on her hilt. Vylbrand Academy did have situations with rogue heretics and outlaws, and it was quite possible that the woman was a rogue assassin that might have a bit of animosity towards her cadets. Saskia strummed on the hilt of her sword like piano keys, which would hardly be seen as a intimidating action, as she smiled elegantly at the woman, awaiting her words of a gentle yes or a subtle no. Saskia eagerly listened as the creative crafter shared her thoughts after moments of contemplation. She spoke about how the original design was developed as a second wind for lower level players who woud be the most likely to stumble when taking damage from new mobs. Also the back row fighters would be able to sustain a bit longer in times of emergency and possibly prevent a party from wiping. Saskia smiled gently as Tessia shared her sentiments about the item while watching it vibrate with a rich aura.
Saskia began to wonder what other projects she had made or had designs for. Saskia felt her heart skip a bit, when before she could get lost in thought the woman told her she could forget about dropping off the flyer and that she was ready to step up and join the team. She inquired as to what it was that Saskia was wanting exactly, which make Saskia laugh as she glanced over all the fine items that were in stock, but her eyes concluded on a glare towards the armor that rested upon the table with the mana liner shield.
“Well, no doubts about it, I definitely could use something like that mana liner shield. It’s definitely useful for the exact reasons you mentioned. I occasionally find myself in the field with new monsters who use new abilities I don’t exactly know how to react to, but I mean this along with some of my skills like [Cool Defense] or [Knight’s Heart] would definitely keep me a bit more sturdy. I’ve got to tell some of the academy students about this. This would be awesome for some of our clerics and Sorcerors, and Cortana still is learning to get better control over her legs, so maybe this can offer her another layer of protection when traveling...” Saskia replied as she tilted her head up to the sky, then back at Tessia before following her, getting slightly more into her personal space bubble, but not too close to be awkward in any way.
“You know, we also have a junior Alchemist at the academy. He’s a Monk and Apothecary, I’ll definitely have to tell him about you. He has a valuable skill for gthering materials out in the field.” Saskia replied with a nod of her head. She planted a soft hand on the edge of Tessia’s left shoulder as she stood beside her with a sweet smile. “So, where do we start?” She inquired as she looked around the large shop, still intrigued by it’s design.

"Well, we start with you removing your breastplate. Since the combination of the items require the suit have no skin touching it. I learned the hard way that the burn the objects affect you with along with the massive mana drain can knock you out." Even as she said it, her cheeks were quite a bit rosier as she gathered the Didoes. Running her un-gloved hand across them her crescent marks on her hands shimmered silver as she felt the latent mana inside. Eyeing Saskia's armor for a second, she nods and grabs a few extra as it would require a few more to fit around the whole suit.
Slipping some Old Filaments out she began to fuse them too the diodes with a flash of her palm, sending white hot mana through them to fuse. After ensuring they would wrap all the way around with a few different lengths, she nods and sets aside the odd looking contraption. Taking up a Old Lamp, Tessia breaks open the bulb and removes its filament. Putting her gloves on, she replaces it with five Mana Fragments. Already the small lamp started to protest, as it hummed louder as its circuits overflowed with energy. At this point, as Tessia handled the lamp in one hand, and scooted the odd diode/filaments towards her, her Ritual marks shimmered like crazy with power. Focusing, she felt all of her tattoos begin to shine as her mana forced the Mana Fragments to converge in the Lamps center.
Almost as if in a strobe of light and and energy, she traced the worked the magic sigil in the table and put the lamp in the center of the contraption. All at once, her tattoos flashed a hot pink as the lamp was forcibly fused with the front of the diode object. Activating Accel Dance, Tessia began to palm strike the diodes with mana from her own pool. Thankfully, her being a Ritual her pool was very high at this point so she felt little of the draining effects. The diodes glowed with a deep blue energy as the humming that had been so loud slowed and became gentle and barely noticeable. Finally, her marks ceased to glow as she moved her hands away and nodded.
Sitting atop the table were her steam oven puffed away, sat a large crystallized harness that would soon be attached and calibrated too Saskia's armor. "Whew. Well that is done. Now I just need to fuse it too your armor and transfer the circuit of energy so it etches into the surface." She turned and smiled at Saskia, both proud and a bit red faced noticing that she was standing there without armor. Though clothed Tessia had to refrain from looking anywhere but the taller girls eyes, less she seem rather rude.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________Saskia blushed slightly as she shifted her feet looking away to the right as she bit her lip slightly. To be honest, she wasn’t really expecting that at all. Such a sudden request for her to leave her suit of armor was certainly different and lately it was the only thing that she ever wore since she traveled so much, with the exception of her purple flourescent dress that she wore for the Snowdonia Winter Ball. Even then, that was like once in the year. Saskia had grown so accustomed to her armor that she barely ever took it off. She felt almost vulnerable and naked without it. However, she was thinking about possibly getting some new outfits tailored, though she was a frugal woman at heart.
She listened with slight intrigue, as she didn’t mind getting out of her armor, if it were for a good cause. She blinked as the Ritualist explained how the item could leave behind a nasty singe if she were to keep it on. She even went as far as to say the effects could knock a person out. It seemed that she had learned most of her knowledge through trial and error. Saskia watches closely like a student as she sees Tessia begin to gather didoes, then begins to extract mana from the glowing cresent circles on her body as they illuminated a silver tone, highlighting the slender skin as she looked up to see Saskia watching her, Saskia’s eyes glanced away as she didn’t want to look at her too hard.
She was just curious about something new she had never seen. It was a rare occasion for her to bump into Ritualist. She began to ponder on the fact that maybe the girl was staring at her armor, because she was expecting it to be off by the time she finished working. Saskia meditated on the thought, as she desired to stay and watch the magic happen, but it seems she had her own magic to weave in the dressing room.
She slowly walked over as her eyes stayed long enough to see her taking out some old filaments. Saskia rested a hand on the edge of the door of the shop before going inside the bathroom to change. She raised out her hand forward and began to pulse out her fingers as a vibrant ray of light illuminated from her fingers and burst into a web of virtul data that weaved itself into a rather stunning interface screen that displayed many numbers and statistics. She began to type away and use the tip of her fingers to manipulate various commands to access the part of her menu labeled “Inventory”. She hesitated a moment, before gathering the nerve to push the button. An white aura engulfed her armor before it began to dissolve around her slim figure and produce itself in her inventory. She looked at herself in her ebony and pink laced panties and shrugged her shoulders, as she grabbed the flask from her satchel to take another chug, before selecting the armor and glancing out the window at Tessia, who was almost done working it seemed. Saskia began to gaze at the crescent moon circles on her back for a prolonged period, before ducking beside the window sill when she noticed her about to turn around and head inside. Saskia stood erect as she walked in to face her. Saskia looked to the side with a guilty expression, not making eye contact with Tessia.
“Here...” Saskia said as she kept looking away, though she would access her trade command and relinquish her armor to the Alchemist. Saskia never usually got undressed in front of anyone, not even the guy she recently dated, Bailin. She began to wonder how this might come back at her. Headmistress being uncothed in front of an academy student. It could be a potential lawsuit just waiting to happen. Saskia waved away the thought as she glanced at Tessia from the corner of her eyes, standing stiff as as statue as her right hand slipped over her left elbow and held it loosely.
She smiled elegantly as the blossom of her figure held a vibrant aura of a cherry blossom princess- and was therefore, indescribably beautiful. Her Sapphire crystal gems glanced out the window gently as she slowly ran her fingers through her hair that was in a ponytail and let it flow down her back. She searched for the right words to slip from her bubblegum colored lips, but she paused as her eyes collided with Tessia's, her gaze holding there for the moment.

"Hello. Helllloooo.~" her brain was saying to herself as she gazed at Saskia for just a tiny bit longer than two seconds. Blushing profusely she turned as she took the armor and sat the heavy part on the table. "W-well um, this last part is a bit easier. And thankfully, if you don't wish to use the Shield you can always detach it from the suit from the front." Good. Focus. Try NOT too look at her. You have a job to do now do it. Tessia was mentally grinding her mind to snap her out of her slight blushed daze as she sets the armor up so it can stand on the table. Taking the device and opening a set of the wires, she begins looping them around the armor and refusing them so that it sits loosely on the surface.
Finally she reached up and taped the glowing center of the Old Lamp, now suffused with Mana Fragments and humming so much it rattled on the armor. Upon her open palm touching the center, her tattoos flashed a hot pink color as the exposed Filament wires crystallized and stuck too the armors surface. Feeding the device her energy, Tessia's tattoos flickered as a slight warning she was at 50% mana. She would have given Saskia the one on display but it was of lower level. And she wanted to hand make most of her things for people anyhow, it gave it a sense of realism and purpose for her.
With a sudden pop, the hardened wires fell apart and the whole device slipped off the etched armor. In the place were the device once was several encircling glowing sigils were in its place. Shaped oddly like the harness, a very thin almost translucent barrier could be seen floating atop the armors surface. Nodding she put aside the already crumbling parts and dusted her hands off. Turning too Saskia she said, while maintaining eye contact "Well, there you have it. The device has worked and now you'll notice when you wear this armor that your hp bar will have a sheaf around it. This indicates how much time you have left before the Shield depletes. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to clock Heavy Armor's timer yet but most likely you'll have a slightly longer timer than other armors. Here."
Scooting her the now quietly humming Armor, Tessia motioned towards the center of the swirly sigils and marks that lead to a magic star upon the chest area. "This is were you'd tap it and just send a tiny bit of mana to stop the circuit or reactivate it. It's a simple contract of Alchemy that sends a prompt too your HUD. Heh, I hope you like it. Made of some of the highest material I can use at the moment." She gave herself a mental bop to stop her merchant rambling and said "Thank you though for letting me join you. Hopefully I can prove worthy of it." Looking away so that Saskia could go change, Tessia picked up the crumbling bits of the device and moved them to a nearby table with a large hammer. She then waited to hear what Saskia thought of the new device.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________Saskia shyly looked away before scratching at the back of her head, her fingers ruffling through the shimmering vines of her hair. She felt the soft texture of her hair, and enjoyed the pleasant scent of it. Luckily she was able to find the time to take a bath prior to meeting up with Tessia, lest she smell like sweat and the aroma of Marshlands and goblins. Grimacing at the thought with a little chuckle she chuckled at Tessia blushing and raised a curious brow. She pondered something for a moment then just placed a knuckle inbetween the seam of her lips as she listened to the leading lady explain the use of the shield and it’s compatibility with heavy armor. She seemed to be at a loss of focus. Something was definitely going on here. Maybe she was just excited? Or feeling a bit nervous, by wanting to impress her? Saskia grinned with a mischievous smirk as she watched Tessia began to manipulate the pieces of the recipe to add the finishing touches of the formula to produce the same effect as the armor that was upon the stand. However it seems to hum much more vibrant and exude a stronger aura than the display. Saskia bobbed her head up and down like with a confident smile like a metalhead. She was feeling pretty damn enthusiatic about the whole ordeal.
“I can’t wait to get out and take this baby for a test drive...” Saskia smirked as she watched the sigils grow bright like the burning sun.
Saskia slammed her right fist into her left palm and began to crack her knuckles with bad girl flair, that exuded that beyond that prom night princess features lied an adventurous and spirited fighter who would stop at nothing in a good brawl. In the real world, she was never the kind to endure major fights, possibly the occasional bathroom brawl, or fight at a nightclub, but since she attained fame and fortune in the real world, she had bodyguards for that sort of thing, but here in this world, it wasn’t about music or dropping a new album. You wanted glory? You had to prove your mettle or your worth somehow. You had to find your niche and build upon it and perfect it. Day after day. Night after night. Saskia believed in the spirit of this and trained strenuously, strengthening mind, body, and spirit.
She began to massage her left shoulder, pleased with the progress she made. She graciously accepted the armor and left for the bathroom with a cocky wink. It was time to suit up and lace her boots up. Instead of accessing her menu to bring up the heads up display she simply decied that she was too nxious to try it on and simply used her [Quick-swap] skill to try on the new accessory that adorned her outfit.
It began to feel like normal, just like a vibrating hum around it and colorful sigils that made it stand out. She walked out and began to walk the runway for a bit as she stiked a few dynamic poses as pressed the star insignia like Tessia had instructed, and thus activated it. It began to channel energy and radiate brighter. Saskia began to flex as she held her sword in her hand as well as held her shield in a tight grip.
“Oh, hell yeah...I feel like a spartan now! The Legendary Saskia Steelheart is coming to town! Hide your goblins! Hide your orcs! Saskia and Tess are going to chop them down like lady lumberjacks!” Saskia chuckled. “Yeah, no doubt...we’ll definitely be glad to have you. You’re a pretty flower just blossoming with talent!” Saskia smiled, not realizing she had thrown the ‘pretty’ comment in there.
“You’ll make an excellent Magistrar professor. We have quite a few avid students as well.”
Saskia took a moment to glance at her HUD, she began to see what it was that Tessia had described. She nodded her head a few times and smiled sweetly at Tessia.
“Actually, if you got time...we can get you registered then swing by St. Pancreas Station, I here we got a couple of cadets working on their crafts over there.”
Saskia grinned, and waited for Tessia’s acceptance, if she received it, she would then hop across the gap in the bridge and mount her horse, holding a hand out to help lift the slender assassin and ride off into sunset where they would travel to the next location.

Watching Saskia parade about was quite amusing too her as Tessia giggled and leaned against a table. Glad to have her part in the equation finished for now, she went to reducing the burnt parts into scrap for another experiment. Looking up at Saskia out on the terrace, she was glad the woman seemed to be enjoying the item so much. Her stats seemed to be alright, no rapid mana loss, and luckily the device hadn't started smoking. A few of Tessia's earlier attempt's had gone awry, ending in some burnt skin, holes in a wall and a massive headache from mana loss. It was a good thing to know that the device became stable with enough will to force the reaction.
Suddenly, she remembered her other idea for a a partner item too the shield. Taking up some quill ink and parchment, she began to scribble out a few items names and combination formulas. brushing the feather at her shoulder like she had a habit of doing, she drew out the designs for her next item, the Mana Edge. This object's creation was supposed to be in partnership too the Shield. In that one could line the edge of a weapon with it and cause added damage by altering how sharp the curve would be. Alternatively, one could use it in junction with staves and Grimores to produce a sharper, piercing magical bolt since the items themselves were not meant for impact.
Lost in her designs, Tessia had almost finished the scribbles, illegible to most aside from herself of course. She hadn't heard Saskia right away, but the words soon caught up too her focused thought. Gingerly, she rolled up the plans and placed them in her inventory quickly. Smiling a bit shyly she nodded in agreement and took the woman's hand. And as if being whisked off in a dream of hers as a child, Tessia mounted the horse with Saskia to head for the Station where a lot of freelance projects were on the move. Mounting the horse proved easy as she did grow up on a farm herself, though fighting on a horse she never did. This was the beginning of something great, Tessia allowed herself a gentle laugh as they rode off towards the station, feeling happier than she had in awhile.
