[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]IN GAME NAME [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Tessia Meier [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Female [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 28 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Homosexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Walker of Secret Ways, Magic the Gathering [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Tessia [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] Height: 5'4 Weight: 127 Eyes: Sky Blue Hair: Satin Blonde Tessia's avatar posses little deviance from her actual appearance. Being the kind of gamer that love immersion, she likes to make a similar looking character to herself to use in most games. Often times, she chooses to wear armor that's a bit stylish but rather light and maneuverable as well. The choice of her race in Elder Tale is the Race of Ritual. She liked how the various markings on the characters body were all different and colorful. She ended up choosing a crescent moons shape for her lower back, on her temples and forehead, and one in between her collarbone. Shes's always sure to leave these marks exposed, as when magic is used they glow a faint silver color as to not attract too much attention to her whereabouts. Her hair is usually cropped short about shoulder length and is a very light stain color. She will often favor tiaras or other types of partial face cover to avoid messing up her hair.(Although in a virtual game usually ones hair tends to stay put, though some habits die hard.) [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Tessia tends to get along with others rather easily, smiling a lot and being generally supportive of them and their goals. Ever loyal and trusting of her allies, she is often hurt more than others when betrayal enters the mix. But, more often than not, her compassion will get the better of her as she will forgive people who have used her to meet an end. She tends to be very shy around new people she does not know, but tends to get a little more open with them as she is around them. She prefers her own small circle of friends to be with most of the time. People have often described her as aloof and having her head in the clouds. Truth be told, she simply likes to listen to people and will often not voice her opinion outright unless asked. Even then she tends to keep it soft as to not ruffle any feathers. Tessia usually opens a shop of kinds in games that allow her too. She dreams of owning one someday, and will usually sell her goods at lower prices then most establishments. This is mostly to ensure she can help those who cant always help themselves, always charitable and uncaring for her own wealth or prosperity. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Tessia Meier is a young girl who grew up in the lowlands of Stuttgart Germany. She learned how to do basic farm work, anything from milking cows to splitting wood, she did it all and gained a very strong work ethic from it. Her family, having been quite poor, did their best to raise her with a simple outlook toward others "Do what you can to help, and do it well". At the young age of 10, her father decided to take her out hunting in the Black Forest. Tessia would bring along her favored wood ax when they would go out. Her father would often chide her in the use of such a heavy, slow weapon to take out into the forest. She decided not to listen as soon, her father saw that she had a knack for picking good hiding spots. He would then scare out the prey usually with his rifle to send them in her direction. Tessia would then leap out and hack the creatures limbs with her large ax. She always had a fascination with herbs and remedies that her mother taught her about. How Nightshade was poisonous, or that Aloe Vera helped in the recovery of burns. Tessia would stay up nights reading everything she could about these plants and there effects. They inspired her to study medicine exclusively in school. She was soon given a grant for college, were she decided to pursue a career as a pharmacist. Being her family was a bit on the poor side, Tessia enjoyed small games on the family computer from time to time and at the collage she attended. After a while she moved on to a few MMO's and other games to help expand what she knew of it. It was around that time that she heard of Elder Tale and decided to give it a try as well. Little did she know of the impending Apocalypse that would drive her forward into the game. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"](Post anything not covered in the rest of the template here. As the Assassin strikes thier foes, they enter a state of mind were they can release some of thier body's natural limiters, allowing them to increase the speed of their attacks. The repeated usage allows the Assassin to descend deeper into this state and increase their attack speed even further. While originally designed for melee attacks, as it is more of a state of mind, the technique can also be applied to ranged attacks as well. [attr="class","skill"]Fatal Ambush: Assassin Physical Attack. Assassins are known for their deadly strikes, often being able to slay in a single strike. This technique is the first of the many massive damage attacks the Assassins have under their repertoire. It is a crude version however, a novice skill that serves more as the basis and foundation for future, more poetic, techniques. Requiring a long preparation time, the Assassin must focus onto their target, limiting their perception and leaving them vulnerable to other attacks, as they search for a weak point. Then by focusing all of their strength into one strike, the assassin strikes their target with all of their might into a single point, dealing critical damage. The mental exertion required taxes the mind heavily however, and the technique can only be used sparingly. [attr="class","skill"]Quick Draw: Assassin A skill focused on delivering a quick strike at the opponent. By gripping the weapon tightly and locking one's gaze toward a nearby foe, the player's body will quickly dash over to the target and perform an attack. Alternately used by ranged users to fire projectiles at a faster than usual pace. This sudden movement takes many unprepared opponents by surprise. [attr="class","skill"]Deadly Dance: Physical Melee Attack. A skill that uses the Assassin’s angular momentum in order to increase the damage of their attack. The Assassin jumps and spins in the air while gripping their weapon, then lands onto the opponent and delivers a downward slash. The key of Deadly Dance is to accumulate angular momentum, so users might find it advantageous to use the skill multiple times in succession. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Hide Walk: Self Buff. Even the novice Assassin must be adept at stealth. Known for being able to meld into shadow or disappearing behind cover, Assassins can become invisible to the naked eye for just a moment before dealing a deathly blow. It is not a perfect technique however, as those carefully watching the Assassin can see through their tricks. This skill has an duration of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Hiding Entry: Self Buff. One of the basic stealth magics of the Assassin. A signature move of the Assassins, known for being able to hide in plain sight, that allows them to bend light around them and become invisible to the naked eye for an extended period of time, up to ten minutes. Offensive actions, stabbing a target for instance, immediately break the magic used to hide the Assassin. The spell itself can be a bit taxing to the Assassin and can only be used sparingly. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds, lightly draining the user's MP upon use. It has a cooldown of 30 seconds the moment it is canceled. [attr="class","skill"]Silent Move: Tracker A skill that deadens the users movement whenever travelling, preventing them from making any sound while walking. In exchange, the Trackers movement speed is reduced by 50%. For every 10 levels the Tracker gains in their subclass level, this debuff is decreased by 10%. After level 50, this debuff is eliminated completely. [attr="class","skill"]Eagle Track: Tracker The tracker can designate a visible target to track. The target's form is highlighted and can be seen through walls and other obstacles from a short range and their footprints are highlighted for up to an hour. These footprints are visible only to the tracker. Upon obtaining this skill the user can track one target and can track an additional target every ten levels after. [attr="class","skill"]Transmutation: Alchemist Alchemists are able to use Magitech in battle without any penalties based on their main class. Also a toggle skill. Through their abilities in creating efficient Magitech, all costs for using Magitech are halved for the Alchemist. Their research also give them an advantage in fighting Artificial Life and deal an additional 10% damage. [attr="class","skill"]Mana Crystallization: Alchemist Proficient Alchemists are able to extract the mana from the surrounding air and their own bodies more easily in order to perform their research. Mana Fragment production rate is increased by 50%, equating to three fragments every two posts in a research or crafting thread. Additionally, every time the Alchemist is hit by an attack, they restore a very small amount of MP proportional to received damage. [attr="class","skill"] Pharmacist's have developed a certain resistance around drugs and are immune to status debuffs from potions. Additonally, they recover twice as fast from poison status effects. [attr="class","skill"]Spark Shot: Assassin Magical Ranged Attack. One of the few attacks under the Assassin Repertoire that deals magic damage. By charging their projectile with lightning magic, the Assassin is able to create a small electrical burst upon collision. The projectile itself does physical damage, but the electrical burst deals magic damage. This skill has an casting time of 1 second and a cooldown of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Shadow Bind: Assassin Debuff. A magical technique created by Assassins, with a thematic effect quite fitting for those who love to strike from the shadows and call the darkness their home, yet poetically useless in full darkness itself as Shadows cannot exist without light. By striking the target’s shadow, the Assassin is able to create shadowy, almost invisible, tendrils from the victim’s own shadow that binds them completely. The target is bound for up to 5 seconds. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds, a maximum targeting range of 5 meters, and a cooldown of 45 seconds. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Windsor Antiqua Leather Armor - Lv5 leather armor. Leather armor that balances out defense and mobility. It is a mass-produced generic armor created by the People of the Land, and so is a little more expensive to buy than if one were to normally craft a similar-quality armor. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: N/A [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Blackfire Axe -- Level 14 --In the face of flames, many turn and run, but some lift their heads and step forward. These men and women are brave, strong, and are a different breed than what many normal humans are. These men and women do not fear the heat, and are willing to risk themselves to save those in peril. Caring, kind, and selfless, these people put their lives on the line to protect what we hold dear and to try to save us from nightmares which steal entire lively hoods. They put their own fears aside and even though they may just be as frightened as we are; they carry on with the hopes of saving one more person, or saving one more family, of protecting one more smile. This axe is a trophy, and carries the souls of many of these men and women. The handle is warm, heated, and burned from many uses, but it remains strong. Just like the many before it, it is ready to aid the user in achieving their goals and protecting those it was created to help. This axe is one shaped like a “fireman’s axe”, with the familiar curved handle and sharpened head being modified slightly to fit the user. The head of the axe is a very basic one, but the metal has been adjusted per request. Like all axes, the head comes to a sharp point at the front and blooms backwards to create an extremely efficient wedge shape. One swing with this axe is enough to split apart wood, or flesh should the axe be used as a weapon. In order to make the axe head even more deadly against enemies and to give it more versatility in battle, the beard, or the lower part of the sharpened edge, has been elongated slightly and given a slightly hooked heel. The butt of the axe head extends outwards for a few inches in the shape of a pick. This pick has been sharpened and formed into a cone, giving the axe the ability to pierce even the hardest of armor when enough force has been used. The souls which linger in the axe give it the power over the element of fire, causing the head to spark upon impact with any foes. The handle of the axe stretched long enough to be used with two hands, but is short enough and light enough to be wielded by a slightly smaller person. Because of its use, the handle has been burned black and charred in several places, giving the exposed wood a feeling which is rough to the touch. The scent of kerosene and burnt wood constantly linger around the weapon. To protect the user from splinters, black leather wraps swirl around the lower half of the axe and just underneath the head. The sheath of the axe is a simple creation that mixes leather and buttons. It is to be worn across the wielder’s back and is made to allow easy access to the tool. The axe sits comfortable in the sheath and a simple button clasp, which sits just above the halfway point of the sheath, holds the axe in place. The simple holster gives the user easy access to the weapon, while also keeping it in place when it is unneeded. [Reforge Effect: Fire Elemental Damage] [attr="class","skill"]Accessory#1: Frozen Crescent (L1): A beginner level trinket in the form of a belt pendant, that reduces the cooldown timer of Accel Dance by one second. A mass of metal with a crescent moon symbol carved into the surface. Small copper wires encircle the crystal and provide a small loop at the top for a rope to attach it to ones belt. It glows a soft blue color while the center of it glows silver. Small and portable knives with blades too small and impractical for close combat, but decent application as ranged weapons. They come in limited supply, so players will have to retrieve the weapons after it runs out. A dozen knives come in this set; if any go missing for over an hour, they will automatically return to the player's inventory. They are mass-produced generic weapons created by the People of the Land, and so is a little more expensive to buy than if one were to normally craft a similar-quality weapon. Windsor Antiqua Bow: Lv5 bow. A wooden bow reinforced with a bit of leather for good gripping. It is a mass-produced generic weapon created by the People of the Land, and so is a little more expensive to buy than if one were to normally craft a similar-quality weapon. Sarum Map 2 - A torn piece of an old map. It seems to emit a weak magnetic energy due to the presence of mana within the cloth, magnetizing itself to other map fragments. Maybe if you combine fragments 1-3 together, something might happen? 2 x Potion of Nighteye L9: A potion made from a certain species of herbs that are said to have granted the People of the Land temporary night vision in the past. Due to the low quality of the solvents used to make this potion, it should be drank rather than used as eyedrops according to old Lander testimony. Upon being used, it tints the user's vision green and slightly increases their ability to see in the dark for a short period of time. Its duration and potency depends on the average level of ingredients used to make it. Mana Liner Shield: Lv9 magitech accessory. A basic magitech device that can be attached to a person's clothing or armor in order to create a force field barrier made from psyche. The force field is seen only when anything impacts the character's body with decent force. It is equipped as an accessory and only one can be equipped at a time. When a Mana Liner Shield is equipped and the character is damaged, it will increase the apparent level of the character's armor by 0.9 levels. Note that although this defense is fairly decent, once initiated it will only last for a short time. After the character is struck by any attack, Mana Liner Shield will activate and last for 1 post before becoming useless for the rest of the thread. Windsor Antiqua Great Axe: Lv5 two-handed axe. A two-handed axe with a weight to its swing, causing some blunt damage as well as slashing damage. It is a mass-produced generic weapon created by the People of the Land, and so is a little more expensive to buy than if one were to normally craft a similar-quality weapon. Elder Tale Anniversary Medal: Level 1 accessory. A gold medal that was given out from voting or nominating in the Log Horizon RP's first annual end of the year awards. Its only effect is that equipping it causes either the Elder Tale title theme or the popular Elder Tale Theme Song from the Yamato server's 20th anniversary to play in the wearer's head. The song preference and music can be toggled on or off using the interface when this item is equipped. |
