Appearance Scarlet is a young woman of the elven race which means that she has a pair of ears that are pointier than others. She stands approximately 5 feet and 7 inches from the ground and has a lean, but athletic, body with a rather pale complexion. Crowning her head is long crimson hair that extends down to her lower back and flows freely in the wind. It's cut just a bit shorter in the front, leaving her with long bangs covering parts of her face. Her eyes match her hair color, crimson, her nose a pit pointy, and soft lips that's pretty much always crooked into a grin of confidence. She has long fingers with well trimmed fingernails, but they are most often covered by some form of gloves. Be it through her casual wear or her combat gear. In real life Scarlet, or Samantha rather, looks more or less the same. She has the same kind of hair, red and long, which gave her the nickname Scarlet, that in turn became her in-game name. Pretty lame some would say. Anyhow, the only real differences from the real life Scarlet and the avatar is the elven ears and her eye color. Obviously she has normal ears in real life, but her eyes doesn't share the same color. In the real world her eyes take on a more greenish facet. Also, she wears a pair of square glasses as she's nearsighted. As for armor and clothing, Scarlet wears mostly a mix of red clothing and standard metallic plate armor. Nothing fancy. When it's time for casual wear she most often wear fit black pants, her plate boots still on, and a red tunic over it. As mentioned earlier wears she black gloves when not wearing her heavy plate armor. | Personality Samantha is, by nature, a laidback MMO player. She used to make DPS-type characters, rogues for instance, in other MMORPGs since she was a big fan of dealing damage in single player games. Why kill a winning concept right? However, for Elder Tale she decided to go for a more tanky type of character and that's how she ended up with Scarlet. While choosing the primary tank class in the game, however, she couldn't let go of the DPS role completely. Due to her long experience with dealing damage in games, she has developed a love for combat. With her looks she brings a new meaning to the saying "seeing red". In real life Samantha was a rather optimistic and probably bit rough person. She always keeps a smile on her face and likes to lighten the mood with jokes and teasing, sometimes taking things too far. No need to say that this kind of personality quickly rubbed off on Scarlet, thus becoming the avatar's personality as well. Well aware of the differences between real life and the game, even though she is indefinitely stuck in the latter, Scarlet is guided by MMORPG-common sense. In real life, she could have cuddled a stray kitten; in the game, a stray kitten could get her killed or worse, kill her. In real life, she could just throw a rock at a hobo and it would chase her; in the game, she had to proactively grab a target’s aggro, especially in a party where the actions of other members might make their quarry switch its attention to someone else. |

Biography
Samantha was actually born on the streets of London by accident. Well technically she was born in a taxi on the way to the hospital as her mother felt her water breaking in the middle of dinner. Other than the time and place she was born, Samantha had a pretty normal childhood. She was an only child, but since both her parents were teachers didn't she get as spoiled into oblivion. On the contrary, since her parents were her teachers both at home and at school she had to work extra hard to please them. It might sound harsh, but as long as she did her homework and went to school, then there were no problems whatsoever. She did, however, skip classes from time to time to play video games together with her friends, but not enough for anyone to notice. Obviously, she never skipped her parents classes.
Pretty much nothing changed as Samantha grew up. She still went to school as a good girl, did her homework, and skipped class from time to time. The only thing that had changed was that she had become one of the popular girls in school, to her parents delight, since she was so easy to befriend and didn't look down on anyone. Well unless you looked down on someone, she would see you as a lesser human being. It was second nature to her and while there were rumors about her in school, it didn't bother her at all. Highschool was a breeze.
She began to spend more and more time online as technology progressed and she liked it. The went for the games she played. Back in the day had she spend her free time with oogling the 8-bit world on some dusty machine her father once had own, it was basically ancient, but now her gaming had stepped on the train of internet. It was during this switch that her parents began to worry as her grades dropped a bit and she wasn't as social as she once had been. For Samantha she had only switched from seeing her friends in person to seeing their avatars. They still met and went out for tea, just not as frequently.
As for playing a tank role in Elder Tale though she was used to playing caster roles, Samantha was, at that time, feeling curious. Scarlet was that experiment that she could scrap later on if she wanted too, still she put some thought into the character's design. Thanks to her love for character creations was she now stuck with a character design that she actually liked, appearance wise at least.

EQUIPMENT
Left Arm Starter Long Spear: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron and wood. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. | Armor Starter Platemail: A basic set of plate armor made from cheap iron. They are not really too protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. | Right Arm Occupied by: Starter Long Spear |

CLASS SKILLS
Main Class: Guardian
Hammer Beat: A skill that raises the shield or two-handed weapon over the Guardian's body, then crashes it down upon the enemy with a loud sound effect. If a monster struck by this attack is lower-leveled than the Guardian, it is almost guaranteed to shift aggro upon the Guardian. This skill has an animation time of 2.5 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds.
Spear Break:An attack dealt by thrusting forward a 2-handed weapon. The momentum of the attack is focused upon shoving the target, so this skill deals little damage but boasts a good amount of knockback potential. Use it strategically to knock an opponent down a large drop to deal fall damage. This skill has an animation time of 2.5 seconds and a cooldown of 7 seconds.
Sword Rain Flurry: The user pierces the target in rapid succession, usually amounting to an initial five stabs plus an additional one every 20 levels. Sword Rain Flurry is an adapted version of the Swashbuckler's Dart-Tack Target, only performed with the intention of damaging the target rather than simply diverting its attention. Despite its name, this skill can be performed with any weapon type although thrusting-type weapons often perform most optimally. Each strike deals a moderate amount of damage, but the main downside is that the user is locked into this animation until the move is completed. This skill has a total animation time of 3 seconds. Its cooldown time is 10 seconds.
Roleplay Class: Berserker
Outrage: In times of desperation, the Berserker's physical abilities start to shine. When the Berserker's HP falls below 25%, their damage output increases by 5%. When the Berserker's HP falls below 10%, their damage output increases by 10% instead.
Crafting Class: Chef
Iron Stomach: Not even food poisoning can stop a dedicated chef! This skill can be toggled, allowing chefs to become immune to status debuffs caused by drinks and food. They also passively recover from sickness status effects twice as quickly.
