Appearance Maia looks exactly the same as she does in Elder Tales… and anyone who suggests otherwise will get punched. She spent hours and hours in character creation crafting the perfect woman. As a result, in game she is tall, slim, and fit, at a respectable 5’7’’ and 123lbs. Like a model, she is graceful and slender. Like a porn star, she is well endowed with curves. Her features are soft and delicate. Her complexion is pale and clear. Silky and smooth, her raven locks fall several inches down her back. Even when stuck in plain starter gear, she always finds a way to dress elegantly and stylishly. She is the kind of beautiful, artificial creature that, in the real world, only exists in Photoshop. In truth, Maia barely resembles her avatar. They both have bold grey eyes, but that is where the similarities end. Despite her Greek heritage, Maia lacks the voluptuous body of her mother. Instead, she is flat chested, short, and bony. Her dark scraggly hair is constantly tangled. She cannot afford pretty outfits and often wears the same thing several times a week. B-but that doesn’t matter anymore, now does it? So don’t bring it up, s-stupid! | Personality Maia’s in game appearance may be perfect but unfortunately for her, there are no sliders for personality traits. Hers are riddled with flaws. Firstly, she is noisy, petty, and bossy. The louder she says something, the truer it is, riiiiight? Secondly, she is quick to judge others. Anyone who does not meet her ridiculously high standards, whether it’s their looks, social class, or values, is not worth her time. Lastly, most importantly, she is incredibly vain. Everything is a competition… and in her mind, she never loses. She makes a constant show of being prideful and confident, if only to conceal the crushing insecurities she has about her real life. To back this up, she pours everything she’s got into proving to the world just how amazing she is. Nothing matters except personal success. Romance? No one is good enough for her. Friends? She is too intimidating for them. It’s n-not l-like she wants them, anyways! All she cares about is not ending up a loser again. This is her second chance. She going to be somebody important or die trying. With a little luck and a little growth, she might just have the mettle to pull it off. Despite all of her weaknesses, she is undoubtedly fearless, ambitious, and driven. While she is sometimes rude, she is also honest. Since she is terrified of failure, she strives to be reliable and independent. Her efforts do not always work out, but when they do, she is like a force of nature. |

Biography
Some people do not have family. Maia has too much of it. Born into a middle class household in small town Scotland, she was the youngest of seven sisters. Having so many other girls around made it difficult for her to stand out. Maia earned good grades, had plenty of friends, and participated in all of the right extracurricular activities. She never received any praise for any of it. No matter how well she did or what she accomplished, one of her siblings had always done it first and better.
Her elders doomed Maia to a life of hand-me-downs and leftovers. However, as degrading as that was, it was comfortable. She had personal spending money and had everything she needed. When she graduated high school, however, she was expected to start fending for herself. Maia thought she was ready. She was wrong.
Naturally, she applied to only the most impressive colleges across Europe. When Oxford accepted her, she flew to mainland England with hope in her heart. If she wanted her parents’ attention, she had to become the best of the best. No one would dare compare her to her sisters when she was through.
Reality hit her like an express train. At first, she tried to fund her education by taking out loans and working part time jobs. She had never learned to budget before and had seriously underestimated the massive toll of private school tuition. Within a year, she sunk into serious debt. Financial holds prevented her from attending classes. Meanwhile, all of her siblings grew up to be successful doctors, lawyers, and business professionals.
The disaster just kept growing worse. She failed to make rent for several months in a row. Often, she found herself skipping meals. She tried to hold on by repeatedly opening up credit cards and transferring balances, but her irresponsibility caught up to her fast. Her apartment complex evicted her. She had no money left for a room at an extended stay hotel. For two crushing days and two crushing nights, she huddled to keep warm in a public park.
Maia had no choice but to concede the ultimate defeat. She asked her eldest sister for help. The next morning, she drove out to the suburbs to become her nanny. Life gradually stabilized, but Maia couldn’t. Being reduced to some pathetic broke babysitter strangled her pride.
In general, Maia considered video games to be beneath her. Therefore, when she booted up Elder Tales for the first time, she was surprised by how addictive it turned out to be. She had been instructed to test it to see if it was suitable for her teenaged nephews. In her weakness, the escapism is provided was inescapable. She couldn’t bring herself to log out. She has devoted every spare moment to her second life ever since.

CLASS SKILLS
Main Class: Assassin
Deadly Dance: Physical Melee Attack. A skill that uses the Assassin’s angular momentum in order to increase the damage of their attack. The Assassin jumps and spins in the air while gripping their weapon, then lands onto the opponent and delivers a downward slash. The key of Deadly Dance is to accumulate angular momentum, so users might find it advantageous to use the skill multiple times in succession. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds.
Accel Dance: The user pierces the target in rapid succession, usually amounting to an initial five stabs plus an additional one every 20 levels. Sword Rain Flurry is an adapted version of the Swashbuckler's Dart-Tack Target, only performed with the intention of damaging the target rather than simply diverting its attention. Despite its name, this skill can be performed with any weapon type although thrusting-type weapons often perform most optimally. Each strike deals a moderate amount of damage, but the main downside is that the user is locked into this animation until the move is completed. This skill has a total animation time of 3 seconds. Its cooldown time is 10 seconds.
Fatal Ambush: Physical Attack. The sister skill to Deadly Dance, focusing in increasing the Assassin’s speed rather than their power. As the Assassin strikes their foes, they enter a state of mind where they can release some of their body’s natural limiters, allowing them to increase the speed of their attacks by 10%. The repeated usage allows the Assassin to descend deeper into this state and increase their attack speed even further. While originally designed for melee attacks, as it is more of a state of mind, the technique can be applied to ranged attacks as well. This skill has a duration of 30 seconds, a cast time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. The Assassin may spend an additional 2 seconds casting this skill to increase attack speed by 20% instead. If Accel Dance is used while it is currently in effect, attack speed is not increased further but the buff's duration will reset back to its full 30 seconds.
Roleplay Class: Courtesan
Allure: A toggle skill that can be used anytime in a conversation with People of the Land. It allows the Courtesan to smooth over any mistakes and retain the target's attention. Often, this skill can also be used to obtain information that would otherwise require long interrogation. Allure's effect scales with the Courtesan's subclass level, becoming more effective at higher levels.
Crafting Class: Tailor
Needlework: Due to the dexterity from which they perform their tasks, tailors are able to make up for any compromises in their ability. Any dexterity debuffs to a tailor can be recovered from twice as quickly.
