Gaijin
Character Info
REAL NAME: Alexander Cain
REAL GENDER: Male
GAME GENDER: Male
AGE: 21
SEXUALITY: Heterosexual
FACE-CLAIM: Kain Highwind, Final Fantasy
PLAYED BY: Gaijin
RACE: Hooman
FACTION: Adventurer
Appearance Standing at an imposing 7'7" Gaijin is a giant. Blond hair flows down his back and ends just above his waist. He allows it to flow openly behind him. Light blue eyes soften his face to make it seem almost like a child's. Extremely muscular, Gaijin is a veritable Adonis among men. He holds himself high and steady, and his movement demands acknowledgement. He maintains a perfect posture and forces others to part around him due to his sheer size. He reacts rapidly to sounds of any kind, and often caresses his ears unconsciously. While publicly he gives off an aura of being unapproachable, in private he is quite friendly and relaxed. He rarely speaks, but his hands move often in rapid symbols. Clearly Gaijin's physical perfection is manufactured because of some emotional desire to become something he could never been in real life. | Personality Gaijin's personality makes him hard to approach. He's introverted so speaking to other people is difficult for him. In fact he tends to look down on everyone as either beneath him, or not worth noticing. He learns quickly through experience and rapidly increases in skill with each encounter. He doesn't think, he reacts. While he himself tries to seem cold and emotionless, he reacts to specific emotions of others. He serves as a stable rock for all to stand behind. As a pessimist he believes in himself over others and only trusts those whom he views as family. His loyalty to family is absolute however. He respects strength and honor above all else, and seeks to prove it in any way possible. Usually this is through PvP, but he will gladly participate in other means. He tries to hide all weaknesses and generally has no fears, but his overreaction to sounds clearly harbor deeper meaning. |
Extra
Seems to be left hand dominant, but as he uses primarily two handed weapons it becomes hard to tell.
Biography
Alexander was born deaf. He grew up being unable to communicate with anyone besides his parents, so as a result never had friends as a child. He always the smallest in his class, and was neither good at academics nor sports. Because he couldn't hear, his fellow students often picked on him. His only safety was at his home where he either read books or played games. His family is the only thing that matters to him because they were the only ones who could love him. His desire to be the absolute best clashed with the realization that he was worthless, and this would lead to erratic emotions on his part. Elder Tale was just the newest name on a long list of games he played just to distract himself from reality. His avatar's large size and muscular body could be described as the pinnacle of human capability, and is likely a subconscious attempt at both escaping from reality and proving that he could be the absolute best.

Main Class: Guardian
Anchor Howl:Tier I Skill
A loud sound wave is generated from the Guardian's position, encompassing the surrounding 5 meters in radius. This causes movement speed away from the Guardian to lower the farther away a target is. As a result, some might attempt to make a run for it by either dashing or jumping. These two actions trigger the second part of this skill, which delivers a heavy counter to punish a retreating foe. It effectively serves as a way to maintain the enemy's attention on the Guardian. This skill has an animation time of 3 seconds, maximum duration of 10 seconds, and a cooldown of 30 seconds. If the Guardian moves from their initial position, this skill is canceled.

Counter Break:Tier I Skill
Every force has an equal and opposite reaction. When attacked, the two options are usually to move out of the way or brace and block the attack somehow. However, some choose a third unusual option which is to face the attack head on with a display of power of your own. By literally attacking an attack with an attack, you not only mess up the collision point but you negate most of your opponent’s power using your own kinetic energy. Also, if you surpass your opponent in power sufficiently, it is possible to break apart the opponent’s attack so significantly that you can chain it into an attack of your own. This skill can only be used as a counterattack against skills with an animation time of 2 seconds or more. Counter Break has a cooldown of 30 seconds.

Heavy Anchor:Tier I Skill
This skill is performed by facing a nearby target at equal footing. The Guardian slams their foot into the ground, causing the opponent to essentially be pinned to the very spot they stand. Neither of you will be able to move while the skill is active. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 30 seconds. The maximum duration of this skill is 10 seconds, ending immediately when either the Guardian or target is moved by an outside force.
