Appearance The initial design of Conchobar was that of an Irish king. Supposedly, Conor was actually related to one of the actual Conchbar, and he thought it would be interesting to make a character based upon the mythological ones. Loosely, at least, more along the lines of heavy irish influence all around. Starting from the top, the Wolfhair looks extremely regal, his hair is kept short, and spiked in most directions, though somehow maintaining an appearance as though it wasn't merely 'messy'. Two large canine ears stick out the side of his jet-black hair, kept trim and neat. His eyes are a steel grey, framed by pale skin, while his chin has the scruffy starting of a beard, though it appears as though it is designed that way. Physically, he is build somewhat large, standing at a solid six foot tall, and though he isn't overly muscular, he is very broadly built. He keeps a proper posture at all times, as though he were the royal guard of some kingdom, always needing to make a good impression. However, that was how the character was designed, conor, on the other hand, is prone to slouching and leaning on things. He does his best to keep up the proper appearance, but when alone, or close friends, he quickly falls out of it. | Personality Conor was always known to be almost bipolar. By no means does he actually have such a condition, but he was really good at keeping appearances one way, and then harshly transitioning to the other. This was far from intentional, it just was how things happened. He could be laughing and joking around one minute, but someone made a joke that went a little too far, or said something that needed to be taken seriously, and while most people would have a small, or even a moderate transitional phase where they go from jovial to serious, he did it fast enough to startle those around him. In tandem with that, Conor always tried to be a very carefree guy around people, joking, treating everything lightheartedly, so on and so forth, but when things got serious, he got really serious, particularly around games. He was known to get very mad, very quickly, when people, for example, cheated, or merely didn't treat the game seriously. It would be false to refer to him as competitive, as he was, but this anger was more derived from the fact he wanted things to be done right, so when someone played monopoly, and spent more time spending money than even trying to play the game, it would infuriate him. That being said, he was indeed prone to temper issues, lashing out when he was fed up with something, even if he had kept a cool, joking temperment right up to that point. By no means was he a hostile individual, as he wouldn't attack someone unless attacked first, he just loathed a lack of respect for things. |
Extra
Conor was a history buff, and a number of influences in the character creation are the result of different mythological entities.
Conchobar is the name of a number of famous Irish Kings, and the modern day "Conor" is a derivative of it. The name itself means "Lover of Hounds".
The choice of a Berserker Subclass, and the Wolfhair race was homage to the Ulfhednar of old Norse culture. This also has minor ties with Conchobar's translation.
Aegis is based upon a greek piece of defensive gear, known to be the perfect guard and indestructable, though sources are hazy on exactly what it is. It is most often referred to as a shield, though it very well could have been a breastplate.
The reason why Conchobar is of a Spell-sword Sorcerer build is a reference magic being a major part in Irish lore.

Biography
There isn't much to say about Conor Cullen's childhood. He never particularly excelled in anything, bar his knowledge of history, nor having the particular worst of any aspect of his life either.
When he was young, his father spent most of his time out of the house, working, while his mother took care of him and his sister. They weren't the wealthiest of families, but they got by. Conor enjoyed spending his younger years watching TV, and quickly grew fond of stories of Old, of Kings and Wizards. In fact, when he was old enough to go to school, he would regularly check out books on various mythologies. Being Irish himself, and his mother always saying that they were distantly related to one of the Kings of Old, he spend more time studying Irish mythology than anything else. Not to say that he didn't study other kinds of mythologies, quite enjoying all of them, but european and specifically Irish was his forte.
While he wasn't particularly bad at his other classes, he always had straight A's in history. While the others were more along B's and C's, he was always proud of his world History. In fact, it was this research that allowed him to catch the eye of one of the college professors that was visiting his highschool. Without even knowing who he was talking to, Conor ended up with a very in depth conversation with the well Tenured Professor at his local university about it, merely because the professor was carrying a book he remembered reading when he was younger on the subject. Humorously enough, The older gentleman gave him a business card with only a phone number on it, and told him to call that number if he was interested in pursuing anything involving history after highschool. Turns out the professor had personally submitted and recommended him for a scholarship.
But how did all of this relate to him and the Catastrophe? Well, beyond actually studying history, he had quite the fondness for games such as Elder Tales. Any historical-settinged game would interest him, if at least for a while, often times gaining a fair amount of amusement on what they did right and what they did wrong. However, he didn't get very far into his character creation when the Catastrophe struck, and he was no longer Conor... he was Conchobar.

CLASS SKILLS
Main Class: Sorcerer
Equipment Mastery: Heavy Armor
Tier I Skill
Passive. An Adventurer skill that provides armor proficiency of heavy armor. Normally, classes that are incompatible with certain types of armor suffer from decreased defense and mobility which wearing the armor, making it feel abnormally heavy. Possession of an equipment mastery skill negates this penalty for that specified armor type. Generally, there are reasons behind why certain classes focus on certain armor types. Taking this skill provides some level of versatility, but be warned that some of your main class skills might prove incompatible with this new fighting style. This skill does nothing if the character's class is already able to use heavy armor normally.

Inferno Strike
Tier I Skill
Elemental enchantment. The Sorcerer enchants a weapon with the flame element, causing it to glow red and release occasional small embers. A target struck by the weapon at this time can be ignited, causing minor damage over time. Because of the direct hit necessary to activate this skill, it is a slightly risky strategy. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds, a duration of 300 seconds, and a cooldown of 60 seconds. If this skill is used on a weapon that is already affected by an elemental enchant, the previous elemental enchantment is overwritten.

Blink: A short range teleportation technique often employed by the Sorcerer for emergency escape. The Sorcerer jumps in a direction and teleports about 1-5 meters away in the desired position. The only downside is that the teleportation distance is very haphazard and might actually not move you very far. Still, it's a useful means of misdirection especially when you're up against only one enemy. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 5 seconds.
Frost Spear: Impales a single target using an icicle spear for Ice-element damage. Due to the opponent being weighed down by a layer of ice, they receive a slowing debuff as well as a slight defense buff for the next 10 seconds. If a fire-attribute skill is used on the target at this time, the slow debuff and defense buff is negated and the target takes fire damage as though their fire resistance was reduced by 1 stage. Many players learn this skill for its balance of damage, casting time, and utility that is a notch above most Sorcerer skills. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 15 seconds.
Spellwalk: A toggle skill that allows a character to cast a spell without forcing them to remain immobile during the spell's casting duration. It is an excellent skill to take for those who prefer an on-the-go strategy or at least a less vulnerable position. When the character moves while casting a spell, their movement speed is halved. This speed penalty decreases to 40% at Level 30, 25% at Level 60, and 10% at Level 90.

They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Level 11 Skill
Speed Forge: The blacksmith's role in an active situation usually demands that their teammates' equipment is kept up to shape. A broken weapon cannot hurt much, while broken armor will only spell trouble against a difficult foe. It is in this time that blacksmiths will prioritize speed over quality. By taking makeshift materials around them, be it metal fragments, ore, or even rocks, they quickly melt it down and fix up equipment for the time being. Proper repairs will have to be performed following the battle in order to prevent impurities from weakening the equipment's quality. Defense debuff effects are halved when this skill is used on a target.
