Though it tends to get in his vision when he looks down, or casts his gaze around, he prefers it like this. Since he doesn't go out of his way to have too a lot of contact with people, it's never really become a big problem for him. When he is around someone though, Faded will usually push part of his hair out of the way so he can look someone in the eye while they’re talking to him. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] For the most part, Faded likes to keep to himself, quiet and reserved. It isn't uncommon to encounter him and find a somber look in his eyes, even if a smile on his face tries to indicate otherwise. On the outside, he keeps up a strong appearance, despite the many fractures lining his insides. At times it might prove difficult, but he can keep a good poker face for at least a little while. Though he tries his best to keep a wall between him and the rest of the world, his mighty castle is full of cracks if someone were simply to look. He'll talk if someone comes up to her, but might have short responses at first, if given a little time though, he's sure to open up bit by bit. A few things Faded is a sucker for is food that actually has a taste, and someone in trouble. While he's not a courageous hero, or even anything close to that, he will run to the aid of a cry for help no matter who it might be. It might set him up for a trap at times, but if that ever happened it wouldn't change his opinion. Faded's sense of duty and honor are high, that, or his guilt is just too much to bare otherwise. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Unlike the fairy tale he had been hoping for, Faded's life started with the wrong girl. Right, he just had to turn right at the crossroads to head back home. Over and over again, he wished he could have gone left, it wouldn't have changed anything truthfully, but that didn't matter to him anymore. Back to the wrong road he went down. It led him down the path to where he met his first crush, a raven haired girl that wasn't afraid to strut a little on her way to and from high school. It was a little out of his way, but he always went right to get the chance to talk to the girl, trying to win her over with as much swagger as a freshman could muster. Though she was a couple years older and had a mean streak, the girl did give him the shot he was gunning for. A two year shot; then one arrow to the heart. After two years of growing to love the quick tempered girl, she simply left him a piece of paper on the door with two simple words 'it's over'. For awhile he tried to laugh it off and tell himself that she was only kidding, the woman was an unpredictable sort. Faded figured he had just stepped on her toes a little for something and she would be back again soon. She had just graduated after all, he was the understanding type so he got that she was likely under a lot of stress at the time. So he waited. For a year. His grades dropped steadily as time worn on with no word of his first love. She had really tossed him aside with the rest of her old life for whatever new one she lived now. He knew he was just another thing left behind, but Faded stayed buried deep in his denial, refusing to come to terms with the reality. Instead he fled to Elder Tale, where he didn't have to think of anything but staying alive and keeping his party from harms way. Until one day, the one on the left turned right. He had always been aware of Kira, but never really paid attention to the small girl. She just faded into the background so easily. It was only because he had traveled this way so many times alone now did he take note of the one following behind him. The foreign footsteps caught his attention and caused him to stop and look back. 'It'll be okay.' Simple... just three simple little words brought him to his knees in a sobbing mess. No hello, or hi, no greeting at all. She just came over and hugged him, telling him it would all be okay not with a voice full of pity or sorrow, but understanding, an understanding that made his castle crumble. Before, Faded never noticed how many classes they had together, or the better statement, how few they didn't have, there was only two classes they didn't share, and in all the others her seat had always been right next to his... on the left. It felt weird as their relationship grew, instead of doing the pursuing, he felt like he was the one subtly being pursued. What wasn't subtle however, was Kira's proposal at their graduation party. It was funny since they hadn't so much as held hands until he picked her up off the ground and kissed her. The wedding, the honeymoon, the hospital; sure, people told them they were starting too early, but as he held his wife's hand, there was nothing he wouldn't do all over again if given the chance. He only wished that he could have started sooner. The nurse shooed him out of the room when Kira suddenly squeezed his hand to death and put on a pain-filled face, her heart monitor jumping erratically. Though he argued, it was no use, he couldn't get in the room and was left to pace outside the door. He could just feel it, feel that something was wrong. The look she had given him, it looked so broken, so sad, like she knew something he didn't. When he was finally allowed back in the next day, he found out why. Faded lost both his wife and child in the same night. He lived through the funeral. All the people patting his back, telling him it would be okay. He went through with his life in the usual manner, in the normal manner. Living each day like he had before, making breakfast for two, pouring two cups of orange juice, shopping for food that usually went stale or bad because it lasted twice as long as it had before. Then once again, Faded sat on his computer to pick Elder Tale back up. Just in time for the new update. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"]  |

As a result, some might attempt to make a run for it by either dashing or jumping. These two actions trigger the second part of this skill, which delivers a heavy counter to punish a retreating foe. It effectively serves as a way to maintain the enemy's attention on the Guardian. [attr="class","skill"]Aura Saber: Swings the weapon around the Guardian's body, then crashes it down upon the enemy. Multiple enemies can be struck by this attack by they are adjacent to the target. This skill increases targets' aggro on the Guardian. [attr="class","skill"]Hammer Beat: A skill that raises the shield or two-handed weapon over the Guardian's body, then crashes it down upon the enemy. If a monster struck by this attack is lower-leveled than the Guardian, it is almost guaranteed to shift aggro upon the Guardian. [attr="class","skill"]Heatsink: Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. [attr="class","skill"]Outrage: In times of desperation, the Berserker's physical abilities start to shine. When the Berserker's HP falls below 25%, their damage output increases by 5%. When the Berserker's HP falls below 10%, their damage output increases by 10% instead. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Platemail: A basic set of plate armor made from cheap iron. They are not really too protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. . [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Starter Kunai: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It doesn't have much of a blade, but possesses a passably sharp point. This weapon is attached to about 10 feet worth of rope, allowing it to work as a temporary ranged weapon if necessary. Just be careful not to lose it in the process, else you'll have to spend some time retrieving it. As far as weapon categories go, this starter weapon counts as a one-handed dagger rather than a throwing weapon. [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Starter Great Shield: A starter great shield designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t really feel too sturdy. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can.
