Alvina
Character Info
REAL NAME: Adamaris Campbell
REAL GENDER: Female

AGE: 16 Years
SEXUALITY: She doesn't like labels
FACE-CLAIM: Ayame, VENUSBLOOD -HYPNO-
PLAYED BY: Ranne
RACE: Foxtail
FACTION: Adventurer
Appearance Alvina has gray hair that slowly bleaches to white as it nears the tip, and she leaves them in bangs that frame her face and cover her brow, just above her eyes. Her hair was long, but not quite long enough to reach the middle of her back, and she ties it back loosely with a purple ribbon. Peaking out at the top of her head are a pair of fox ears, the exact same color as her hair. Almond shaped and quite large, her eyes were an unrealistic mix of crimson and sunset gold and, unless agitated, she kept them half close, giving her a permanently sleepy expression. She was pretty short, standing at 5'7", the same height as her real self. She was quite slim, and she preferred tight fitting clothes over any other, especially if they were of the color purple. Other than that, she was more than fine to simply choose the armor with the highest stats. Out of familiarity, Adamaris tended to give her characters the same body shape as the one she has in real life, only opting to change simple cosmetics such as hair color, style, and eyes. In the real world, she had medium length dark brown hair which she kept it tied up high in a ponytail, and light hazel eyes with hints of green. Preferring the more casual look, she would more often than not wear a tee shirt and jeans, along with a pair of converse shoes. If the weather was cold enough, she would throw in a jacket into her default attire for good measure. | Personality Sociable: In the primary school that Adamaris came from, no one payed much attention to their grades or spent time studying: in fact, in this age of technology, everyone was obsessed with their computers. Or more precisely, they were engrossed in gaming. And like many others in her school, so was she. Spending 24/7 behind her laptop screen, rather than made her unsociable, gave her something in common with the rest of her peers. She wasn't a hardcore gamer, and yet her passion for MMORPGs opened the way for her to start interacting with others of her age. She grew to enjoy discussing tactics with her classmates during break, and like the nature of any other MMORPG, the ability to communicate with teammates was a crucial lesson that she learnt, especially since she typically played a support role within a party. This willingness to make friends is a trait that she brought over from her childhood into her teenage years, and one she still keeps even now. Confident (but not quite): In a game, you were also completely and utterly anonymous to the general internet population. Sitting behind a screen and a fake identity, Adamaris could make whatever mistakes she wanted, without fear of getting judged for anything other than her ability. Nothing was mentioned about her young age or gender, because nobody knew. And, safe from criticism, is where she began to develop a sort of confidence of her own. Occasionally, she gets self-conscious and nervous at times, but years of experience in interacting with fellow gamers has made her realize that what strangers think of you has no consequence whatsoever. However, having self-confidence is one thing, wanting to be thrust into the spotlight another. More often than not, Adamaris would prefer to be a Follower than a Leader simply because she dare not embrace the attention that came hand in hand with being a figurehead. Empathetic: Perhaps it was the way that she was raised, or perhaps it was simply a side-effect from enjoying the company of her friends, but Adamaris found that she generally cared about the feelings of others. When someone, be it friend or stranger, was in need, more often than not she would reach out a helping hand. Especially when gaming, where she felt a lot more confident. It wasn't just about helping people, either. She genuinely doesn't like deliberately hurting someone's feelings. Because of this, even though she has a passion for LARPing, she could never once bring herself to play a character in any stereotypical "evil" role. Adaptable: Adamaris was never particularly smart, nor was she good at coming up with awe inspiring tactics on the get-go. That's why she was never the leader in a party or guild. Not only that, she constantly and consistently makes horrible mistakes, and sooner or later she developed a knack for getting out of those situations. Surprisingly, though she prefers to play the role of a support, she's not terribly observant, nor can she multitask very well. In fact, keeping track of everyone's statuses, health and mana, as well as the battle itself, was practically reaching the limits of what she could handle. What she could do, however, is react in a split-second timing. For example, if her leader demanded that a certain spell be cast immediately, she would do without question, quickly changing her playstyle and personal strategy to compensate for the unexpected change in mana and cooldown. Impatient/Easily Frustrated: When things don't go according to what she expected, Adamaris becomes easily frustrated, especially at herself. While not exactly a high achiever, if she could have done something but didn't, she gets extremely annoyed, and often copes by taking that anger out on others around her, even if they didn't quite deserve it. While she would never blame them for something they did not do, she would get short tempered and snappy with people who attempt to interact with her when she's in a mood, including those she calls her friends. For example, if she could have saved a teammate but hesitated, it would place her in a bad mood for the next couple of hours. Not only is she easily frustrated though, she is also impatient. The anticipation of something that she is eager for often drives her to irritation, like, for example, a boss raid. Insouciant: In primary school, she didn't care for homework or projects or exams: anything that she didn't deem important wasn't worth doing, in Adamaris' opinion, even though it was socially accepted that those were the morally right and responsible actions to take. That attitude didn't change one bit even when she grew older. Though she would follow those who have captured her loyalty and respect to hell and back, she was very selective on what she spent her time on, even when gaming. She only undertook quests that had something in particular that she wanted, and while she enjoyed helping people, she wouldn't be willing to spend days on it unless it was something that she was interested in. In fact, this has lead her to being rather carefree as well, where she leads a life mostly unhindered by responsibility (other than those that she willingly undertook) as well as fears such as death or despair. Naive: While Adamaris was by no means stupid, she could be rather thick at times. Logically, she knew that there were deviants and dark motives in the world out there, and yet it has never really registered in her mind that such things could have an effect on her life. For her, being friendly had the side effect of being naturally trusting. That meant that, more often than not, she would take what people said at face value, even thought deep down she knew they could very well be lying. While such naivety hasn't ended in anything serious yet, it also meant that she's never had a reason to change. Rash: Adamaris' impatience often drove her to make stupid decisions that she would deeply regret afterwards. For example, she reacts to betrayal badly (perhaps because she gives her trust so readily), and that has many a times made her seek revenge, only to make her want to take it back afterwards. During gaming, a flare of temper during an important battle could make her act rashly, casting a spell at the wrong time and breaking everyone's coordination, costing the team the fight. She has tried many times to think more rationally in the heat of the moment, but when emotionally impaired, sometimes she could truly act without thinking things through. |

Biography
Growing up in an environment where the majority of her friends loved games, whether they were simple phone games, MOBAs or MMORPGs, played a huge role in convincing Adamaris to pick up one. Her family was pretty well off, and so it was no trouble at all for her to accumulate enough money to pay the monthly fees of the game. At first she didn't really get the point in investing so much time on nothing but digital pixels on a screen, but she put in her all nonetheless, eager to fit in amongst the peers in her class. And gradually, the joy of advancing, of playing with friends, the accomplishment of defeating a raid boss or finding a rare item, it all grew on her until it was as much a part of her life as anything could ever be. Even more so than school. If she had to, Adamaris wasn't above playing truant in order to raid a dungeon with other players both nationally and internationally.
Her first game was horrid: she did a terrible job of allocating her stats and choosing her skills, and she displayed no measure of teamwork whatsoever. Because of that, several members of the game were unkind, demanding that she left before she ruined the game for them all. However, Adamaris was determined to become at least somewhat proficient in gaming. She watched countless tutorials and playthroughs online, and she slowly but steadily improved until, while not quite an ideal party member, she could still pass of as a decent one.
After many months poured into the game and her character, sooner or later Adamaris hit the level cap. It was then that she decided that it was time to play a different game. And that was how she came across Elder Tale.
During that time, the only English-speaking server she could find was the one in US. Despite that, however, it was one of the oldest games that were still popular amongst the younger generation, and was one that came with extremely high reviews. Naturally, she was intrigued. She wanted to experience what made Elder Tale such a special game by herself.
Her character was an Elven Samurai named Lyssa. Along with her experience in previous games, she did pretty well in developing her character. She went on raids, made a group of friends, even joined a guild. The world of Elder Tale was huge with an endless amount of new discoveries every time she went back to the dungeons, and it was so captivating that, despite having hit the level cap a long time ago, she couldn't get enough of the game, always coming back to it even after she maxed out her character. After 4 years of playing, she was recognize by the general populace as the veteran that still stuck around (and there were quite a few number of those). She was never overly famous, having opted not to join one of the larger combat or crafting guilds. And, while she might occasionally participate in raids for those few rare items or so, she was far from being an active member in raid parties. Overall, Adamaris was content with where she got in the game: her level was admired by the newbies from afar, but yet she was nowhere near noticeable or popular enough to be thrust into any sort of spotlight. It was perfect.
Then, just weeks before the release of the Novasphere Pioneers update, her parents got into a car accident. It wasn't anything life threatening, yet they were going to be hospitalized for the next few weeks or so, and were requiring someone to take care of them for at least a few months. Adamaris was more than willing to do just that, even if it meant putting her beloved game aside for a while. However, after her parents regained their health, the long absence had placed a damper on her eagerness to get back to the game.
She lived a month or so without any contact with Elder Tale whatsoever: to her party members and her little circle of friends, it seemed like she had completely vanished. After she distanced herself from it, Elder Tale didn't seem to hold the same level of engagement that it used to have. Adamaris never planned on returning back to the game, until there came an announcement for their own UK server. Suddenly, all the intrigued that she lost came flowing back. She could make a new character with a whole new playstyle, she could start anew at level 1 once again.
This time round, she created her favorite type of character: a support type, hoping that this very character would bring her back into MMORPGs, that it would help her re-realize what she used to love about gaming. That character was called Alvina.

Left Arm | Armor Starter Cloth Armor: A basic set of cloth armor made from cheap fabric. They are not really protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. | Right Arm Starter Staff: A two-handed starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap wood. It is typically used to channel magic, but can also be used to whack people on the side of the head. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. |

CLASS SKILLS
Main Class: Enchanter
Astral Bind: Tier I Skill
Astral Bind is best known for its quick casting speed, causing magical chains to shackle the target's limbs and restrict any movement further than about a meter. Because of this, it's especially effective against DPS melee fighters, but not so much for ranged or magic classes. It normally wears off after 6 seconds, but can be resisted against to reduce its duration by roughly 2 seconds. A target who chooses to resist may not perform any offensive skills for 2 seconds after the binding is lifted. This skill's debuff classification is Mind. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds.

Keen Edge: Tier I Skill
A spell that allows the Enchanter to increase the physical attack power of the party's weapons. This spell only affects the weapons that are currently equipped, so weapons in the auxillary slot or inventory do not get this bonus. If the weapon is deequipped or if the character dies, the buff is canceled. Because the effect of Keen Edge lasts for almost an entire hour, it's often casted at the beginning of an expedition and before major fights. Recasting this skill causes its effect to return to the full duration. This skill has a casting time of 10 seconds and a cooldown of 60 seconds.

Mana Channeling: Tier I Skill
The Enchanter takes a few moments to link with targeted party members, connecting their psyche. All party members within this link have their MP distributed evenly. If a party member's MP is restored to full, their connection is severed and remaining MP is redirected to another character. The activation of this skill causes a temporary strain upon the body as though part of the body's consciousness is being transferred. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds and a cooldown of 30 seconds.

Heal: Tier I Skill
The most fundamental HP recovery magic of the healer classes and the root of all restorative skills. Although it grants HP restoration, it is known for its poor mana efficiency compared to other healing skills, barrier skills and reactive activation skills, thus putting this on low priority amongst healing skills. Beginners often look at healers based on how much HP this skill heals, causing some to be called second-rate or third-rate healers. That said, truly useless healers are out of the question, since most are at least competent in using restorative magic. When this skill is used, the caster is surrounded by a hazy warm light, and the chosen target is showered down with particles of light. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown time of 10 seconds. If used by a non-healer class, the cooldown doubles to 20 seconds.

Pulse Bullet: Tier I Skill
Possibly the Enchanter's best skill at attempting to fill a DPS role, pulse bullet is a simple light orb projectile that flies off toward an enemy when used. Its damage potential is low, but its 0.5 second cast time and 3 second cooldown rate is low enough that an Enchanter can actually shoot Pulse Bullets in rapid succession and rack up damage. Admittedly, spamming Pulse Bullets prevents the Enchanter from providing support, and doing so for long enough will eventually start to wear down the Enchanter's MP.

Nightmare Sphere: Tier I Skill
The enchanter summons a violet orb of mana and throws it in a direction. Afterward, the sphere expands to a few meters in radius, where it will greatly slow down the movement speed of all occupants within its boundary. Even gravity seems to slow down, causing all falling objects to act as though they were on the Moon. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds, a duration of 10 seconds, and a cooldown time of 15 seconds.

Roleplay Class: Animal Trainer
Scout: The Animal Trainer attempts to recruit a monster to their cause in order to create a temporary partner. This is often done by approaching the monster without startling or aggravating it. If performed successfully, a tamed monster will fight by the Trainer's side for a few minutes before control is lost and the monster returns to the environment. Certain situations might make this duration last longer or shorter; acts of kindness toward the tamed monster will make it stick around for longer, while excessive demand will make the Trainer quickly lose favor with the monster. Only one monster can be tamed at a time at the early levels.
Crafting Class: Brewer
Detox: When your occupation is all about alcohol, you can't let things like hangovers slow you down! This skill can be toggled, allowing brewers to become immune to status debuffs caused by drinks and potions. They also passively recover from sickness status effects twice as quickly.
