Setsuba Amatsukami
Character Info
REAL NAME: Setsugie Amatsukami
REAL GENDER: Male
GAME GENDER: Male
AGE: 19
SEXUALITY: Heterosexual
FACE-CLAIM: Bell Cranel, DanMachi
PLAYED BY: Setsugie
RACE: Human
FACTION: Adventurer
Appearance Real Life: Setsugie is a slender yet muscular teen who stands at about 5'6 feet and weighs in at 138 pounds. He has light brown colored straight hair reaching to his lower back(He's been growing it out because of a promise he made with a friend.), he usually ties it up in a low pony tail. He is of Japanese decent with a fair skin tone and has a Hazel Green eye color. In terms of looks he is slightly above average while certainly not a Bishōnen he isn't that bad looking either. Speaking about clothing interest he is more inclined to wear traditional clothing such as Kimono's because of him being partially raised by his Mother with help of her Grandparents(Due to this he also has an olden style of thinking as well.) While you might see him wear the normal T-shirt with jeans and sneakers in truth he would love to walk around in a Kimono if it wasn't for the stares people would give him and that would be too much of a hassle, not that he particularly cares but his this would worry his mother which is a big no in his book. In Game: Setsuba on the other hand is quite different from Setsugie, for starters Setsuba stands at 5'9 feet tall and weighs in at 148 pounds which is slightly taller and heavier than Setsugie; though he still retains his slender yet muscular physique. Having an odd eye color(Heterochromia) Setsuba has one Yellow eye(Left) and the other Pink(Right) a feature he liked very much. Setsubas hair retains the same length as his Real Life counterpart which reached to his lower back though notably the color is a Marine Blue; its style is a high pony tail with shoulder length side-locks and front bangs reaching slightly to his eyebrows, this style is similar to the Hime cut used in the Heian Period. Clothing wise Setsuba is always seen wearing a Japanese style Kimono while out of combat and in a town as he feels most comfortable wearing these types of clothing, also he tends not to unequip his Katana making him look much like a True Samurai. While in combat he usually dawns his armor. | Personality Setsuba and Setsugie alike are both calm and laid back individuals, while they love to lazy around they are no strangers to hard work; and know that that they are in this whole new world a more adventurous side of them has come out. Setsuba loves train and make himself stronger but his kind and gentle nature also leads him to help others in need, he is quite trusting and loves to socialize with others. But this can all change if someone tries to harm those close to him, his gentle and calm nature can quickly change into that of a cold and merciless one. Setsuba can forgive people easily when he is accused of something or is attacked but it is a whole different story when those close to him are in the receiving end, he will literally throw himself into the fray and vouch for that person even if said person does not approve of this. While he is seen as a laid back guy who cares little for things he is actually quite perceptive noticing the little details around him, while in battle Setsuba takes on quite the different personality, he retains his calm attitude but develops a keen perception of the environment around him and most of all his allies. He has quite the battle mind as he employs quick improvised trial and error strategies that he improves based on the situation at hand. He is also no stranger to combat as he has practiced Battōjutsu ever since he was a kid. Setsuba isn't that competitive of a person and prefers to laze around than to force himself in meaningless squabbles, though from time to time he can be seen competing in PvP or other tournaments out of Fun and Sportsmanship. Setsuba has no problem in losing as well as saying "I believe that there is always someone better than you no matter what. There is always room for improvement!". Setsuba also due to his Olden style of thinking(Thanks to his Grandfather) follows a Moral Code called "The Bushido Code." which are typified by eight virtues: Righteousness (義 gi) Courage (勇 yū?) Benevolence (仁 jin) Respect (礼 rei) Sincerity (誠 makoto) Honor (名誉 meiyo) Loyalty (忠義 chūgi) Self-Control (自制 jisei) - What are the character's personal strengths and virtues? Setsuba is a very Trusting individual. Setsuba can easily Forgive with some exceptions. Cares deeply for those close to him. Setsuba follows the Moral Code of Bushido, which have as a core these Virtues: Righteousness Courage Benevolence Respect Sincerity Honor Loyalty Self-Control - What are the character's personal weaknesses and fears? Is somewhat Lazy. Can be Reckless at times. Is prone to Risk his life to save others. He is Oblivious to sexual themes. Setsuba is prone to be to Forgiving and this has lead to him people take advantage of this. Setsuba is also prone to being to Trusting and again this leads to people taking advantage of this. Setsuba has a fear of Cockroaches. Fears losing those precious to him. Has a degree of fear towards the concept of Dying; Setsuba has a great fear of the people around him dying. |

Biography
Setsugie was born and raised in Okinawa Japan into the Amatsukami Family, when Setsugie reached 3 years of age his father passed away due to an accident leaving their family in a slight crisis; this lead him and his mother to move with his mothers Grandparents. Setsugie's mother worked often at times and was mostly raised by his Grandparents, this lead to him developing an olden style of thinking having his Grandparents rubbed off on him. Setsugie at the age of 6 soon found an interest in his Grandfathers Katanas which stood framed in the living room, his Grandfather being a practitioner of Battōjutsu taught Setsugie the basics of the Way of the Warrior(Bushido). Eventually Setsugie became a skilled practitioner of the Art and soon at the age of 12 he mastered it being labeled as a prodigy with the sword.
While his mother worked herself tirelessly she was still a great influence in Setsugies life, Setsugie's mother was kind and gentle in nature, Setsugie inherited her personality and with the help of the Bushido Code his Grandfather and Grandmother taught him this refined him into an astonishing young man who has a strong sense of whats right in the world a keen sence of Justice known only to those who follow this Moral Code.
Setsugie didn't excel that much in school due to his bad habit of lazying around and not wanting to force himself in things that do not interest him a trait he inherited from his late father. His best friend one he has known ever since he was 3 years, contacted him after over 10 years, having parted ways when they where 8 years due to his parents having to move to Tokyo because of their job, the same friend Setsugie promised that they would not cut their hair until they meet once again; they chatted for a while before his friend told about the game Elder Tale. Setsugie wasn't too fond of net games but since it was his dear friend who recommended it he decided to at least check it out, after a while he found himself completely immersed in the games atmosphere. He quickly found the time to play this game at least for 1 hour a day, where he trained his character made friends and things of the such.
Soon when Setsugie was 16 his mother passed away due to overworking herself, it was a dark day for Setsugie, he loved his mother with all his heart and he felt guilty about her death. With the death of his mother this also lead to him developing a fear for the concept of those around him dying only to be intensified by the fact that a year after his mothers death his best friend had passed away in a car accident. Setsugie was heart wrenched but before he could fall completely he found the hope to lead forward, many hours of the day where spent meditating to increase his mental aptitude and to ease the pain in his heart. Setsugie was extremely strong willed just like his mother and would always pull forward despite of the hardships in front of him. He would still spend a few hours of the day playing Elder Tale to honor the memory of his friend and it can also be said that he truly loved the game and would stop playing it anytime soon.
3 years later at the Age of 19 Setsugie finds himself in a strange new world, reminiscent to that of a fantasy world he fell in love with many years ago, what would happen now....?

CLASS SKILLS
Main Class: Samurai
Ambidexterity
Tier I Skill
The mechanics of Elder Tale lightly discourage dual-wielding due to the reduced accuracy and proficiency with such a combat style. However, it remains a quite popular strategy among those who willingly sacrifice stability and defense for a little boost in DPS. It is such that Swashbucklers are primarily the class type that specializes in dual-wielding and thus has the most compatible skills for this purpose. The Ambidexterity skill passively lifts the dual-wielding penalty from equipping two one-handed weapons or two shields. This skill does nothing for a Swashbuckler, since they already possess a beginner skill which does the same purpose.
