He stands at 6'6" and weighs 249 lbs. He has straight black hair and wears it down to his ears. His eyes are a dim, yet light brown, and always seem to be focused on something or other. He muscles are well-toned, and you would be able to see them if he wore a slim shirt. His face and stomach are often bruised due his hobby, boxing. Valiar on the other hand, looks pretty much the same. The differences are that his face isn't really bruised much, and his eyes are green in stead of brown. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"]Alphonse is a very sociable person, yet he's not as outgoing as you would think. He could probably approach one out of every twelve seemingly nice strangers who passed him by if he felt like meeting new people, but he could meet a friend of a friend without a problem. In public, Alphonse is very formal and kind. Often he would open a door for a stranger, and respectfully nod as they walked inside the building, without getting down about not hearing a "thank you" or getting any other kind of acknowledgement. In private, Alphonse is more laid back that one would assume from seeing his public display. He would sit on a chair with his leg hanging off of the side, or just sit in the chair sideways. Yawning without covering his mouth, and not really opening any doors for anyone. Even so, he's still be polite. He is actually a nice person. Alphonse only really seems intense when things are intense. He doesn't lose his cool, but he's way into it. Like his hobby, boxing. He really enjoys boxing because it doesn't always give him the adrenaline rush he's looking for when he's programming or playing games. When he's in the middle of a bout, Alphonse's focused, but having fun with it and really pressuring his opponent with his intensity. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"]It was in middle school that Alphonse's parents got really lucky in their jobs and both got promotions. They bought Alphonse his own computer that he didn't have to share with the rest of the family, and he decided to use it to play MMO games with his friends. In a particularly small MMO, he made quite the name for himself, so Alphonse started to branch out slowly into others. By the time his junior year of high school came around, Alphonse was fairly fluent in Japanese, so a friend suggested he play Elder Tale on the Japanese server. Alphonse saw some screenshots and didn't think it looked too bad, so he gave it a try. Needless to say, he was not disappointed. Right into college the young man continued to play Elder Tale as a Human path-finding samurai blacksmith. He played often enough to reach the 90 level cap in his first year, and he played the character Valiar Lorde. So not much has changed with his character between then and now, besides his level. Once he heard that Britain was getting it's own server, he got excited. Finally he could communicate withe the majority of the players in his native tongue. What he didn't expect was to be dragged into the game when the Novasphere Pioneers expansion came out. Starts or resets the current Chain. The activation of denkosekka covers the samurai in a electrifying aura, raising the user's movement speed. This aura is also used as a makeshift barrier that can absorb some damage from a single hit before dissipating. However, the samurai must be sure not to stray too far from their party while this ace move is active, lest they risk collapsing the party formation. [attr="class","skill"]Ace Move - Izunagiri: Chain 2. Useable after Chain 1 skills. Izunagiri is performed using a overhead slash, creating a vacuum air blade to be shot directly forward and strike enemies. The concept is also available toward bow use as well, engulfing the arrows in a wind current that allows for additional piercing damage. This attack is notably one of the few Samurai skills that can strike from long range for melee fighters. This skill has an animation time of 1 second and a cooldown of 30 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Heatsink: Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. [attr="class","skill"]Battle Perception: Toggle skill. Battle perception allows the Pathfinder to notice nearby monsters more easily by displaying their names and levels above their heads. It allows the Pathfinder to detect monsters about ten feet further than a normal character, and is most useful for preventing ambushes. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Platemail: A basic set of plate armor made from cheap iron. They are not really too protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Starter Dagger: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can.
